Purchasing apps on my ipad

when purchasing (even free) apps on my ipad it says "cannot purchase at this time please try later" my iphone downloads immediately no problem?  It accepts my password & details correctly.

1. Make sure iPad is using the latest software
2. Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>On
3. Make sure Time Zone is correct
4. Reset iPad. Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo.

  • HT2534 I have money on my iTunes account.  Can I purchase apps for my iPad with this credit?

I have a credit on my iTunes account.  Can I purchase apps for my iPad with this credit and how do I do it?

Yes. You can use any funds that you have available in iTunes for the App Store, iTunes, iBooks or the Mac App Store. Just go to the app store and tap on the app that you want to download. If the credit is available, it will be deducted from your account when you make the purchase.
You can swipe to the bottom of the featured tab in the app store to view your account balance.

  • I work in schools and would like to know what if a school opens an iTunes account to purchase apps, how many iPads can the same app be loaded onto legally?

I work in schools and would like to know if a school opens an iTunes account to purchase apps, how many iPads can that app be loaded onto legally?

One iPad per purchase, assuming the iPads will be used by different users. If the school wants to purchase an app for multiple iPads, they have to have one license for each iPad. In the US, there's an academic volume purchase plan:

  • How can I search through my purchased apps on an iPad running iOS 7.0.4?

Maybe I'm just missing it, but I see no way to search through my purchased apps on my iPad (3rd generation) running iOS 7.0.4. To be clear, I know how to go to the appstore, click purchased, and view all of my purchased apps, but I cannot see a search field by which to textually search through my apps as is available on the iPhone. It seems inexplicable that Apple would have this feature on the iPhone but not the iPad, so am I missing something?
    Thanks for any help.

How to purchase apps for other iPad (which is not under my name)?

If it is not your iPad, then you shouldn't be purchasing content for someone else. They should use their own Apple ID to purchase.
If you want to help them out with purchases, buy them an iTunes gift card or gift them apps from the App Store.

  • How do I remove or at least "hide" purchased apps from my iPad.  With the help of Apple support by phone, I "hid" unwanted purchased apps from my Macbook Pro; when I returned to the iPad all unwanted purchases were still there?

How do I remove or at least "hide" unwanted purchased apps from my Ipad?  Posed the question to Apple senior support this evening and we went to the Itunes store and removed all the unwanted icons from the collection of hundreds, one by one.  Cleaned up the Mac Pro nicely, leaving about 10 apps I wanted to keep.  Went back to the Ipad and they were all still there.  Senior support hasn't gotten back to me yet.  Any ideas?  Thanks. kjbarnett

Since hiding them on your Mac (you did it via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the store homepage ?) have you tried logging out and back into your account on your iPad ? I haven't tried it on the IOS 7.1.1, but with iOS 7 there was (or maybe still is) a 'feature' that meant that after hiding them you then needed to log out and back in on each iOS device for them to become hidden from the Purchased tab in the App Store app on it - tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and log out and then log back in.

  • How can I transfer purchased apps from one iPad to another?

    Hi all,
We just got a second iPad.  Previously our single iPad was registered under my Apple ID.  My wife downloaded lots of apps for the kids on our old iPad.  Now I want to associate the old iPad with my wife's Apple ID, but be able to keep all the kids apps on it that were previously purchased under my apple ID.  I don't really want any of the kids apps on the new iPad - especially since I will usually have it with me at work.  Is there any way to do this?
    Thanks.
    NM

You can't associate purchased apps with another Apple ID. The apps are tied to the ID that was used to purchase them.
If you sign in on the iPad with the ID that purchased the apps - then you can download them again using the ID that is associated with those purchases.

  • Purchasing app for your ipad

I purchased and tried to download an app on my iPad. The installation paused and wouldn't go any further. I subsequently downloaded it via iTunes into my library. I've then synced my apps with my iPad. The app appears in the library but after syncing my iPad the app doesn't appear on my iPad. What do I need to do?

Maybe just a little more detail will help.
Connect your iPad to your computer and launch iTunes. Select your iPad on the left side in iTunes. Then click on Apps at the top of the iTunes screen. You must make sure that the box above the list of apps is checked - the box that says - Sync Apps. Then put a check mark in the boxes next to all of the apps that you want to sync to your iPad, click apply in the lower right corner of the iTunes screen, then click sync. That will put all of those apps on your iPad.
There is a line at the bottom of your app list in iTunes that you can check to automatically sync new apps as well.

You should transfer them to your comptuer, if you haven't already. File>Transfer Purchases

    You can redownload as well.

  • Why can't  i purchase apps for my iPad?  Theres no App Store on iPad.

There is no App Store on iPad now, Why?  How do I get to purchase apps for iPad and how do I get apps purchased in the past onto my iPad ?

  • One purchased app on 2 iPads?

What happens when I install one app I already purchased on my another iPad using my apple id? Is it legal? Will the app work on both iPads in multiplayer?

Perfectly legal if both iPad are yours and you purchased with the same iTunes account on both. Once you buy an app you can download it to as many iDevices as you own as long as you use the same iTunes account each time.

  • HT204266 Suddenly I cannot purchase apps for my iPad.  I have purchased two apps today.

I just purchased a new retina iPad.  I have it setup.  I have purchased two apps no problem.  Now, when I try to purchase more apps it tells me to contact Apple support.  What gives?

What gives is for some reason a red flag went up when you attempted to make another purchase. But the bottom line is, you will not be able to purchase again until you get it straightened out with iTunes Store Support so contact them as instructed.
