Purchasing apps

It feels like something has changed recently in iTunes with iPhone. I wonder if it has something to do with the pending release of iOS 5 and / or iCloud. Having had the iPhone for a while now, I'm kind of saturated in the apps I want (I have about 150 of them a number of them removed from the iPhone as it is just clutter. Most of them were free), so I have not been downloading apps very often these days. A new app came out relating to my car. It was also free. When I learned about it from the manufacturer's web site, I went to iTunes, located it in the iTunes Store and downloaded it. It is present in the list under Apps for iTunes on my Mac. As usual, I then sync'ed my iPHone and, lo, the app was not downloaded.
I verified that it was in the iTunes on Mac app library. I looked that app up in the App Store on my iPhone. I found it. It was available to download. I downloaded it and it now I had it on my iPhone and could run with it.
Recenly, I've noticed my use update process wasn't working as before. Periodically before syncing my iPhone to my Mac, I as iTunes / Apps if there are any available updates. I then download the updates. Then I sync the iPhone. I now find that the updates don't seem to go to my iPhone. But the App store on the iPhone will do the updates.
In the WWDC presentation last spring, I listened wiith interest to the iCloud presentation (more than once). Like many I found it interesting and promising but I ended up with more questions remaining than answered.
Is what I'm seeing the beginning of the iCloud release? Are they beginning to change things that what I used to need to go through iTunes for Mac (or Windows) to do must now be done directly on my iPhone? What I'm seeing does not correspond to what was advertised but I would put that down to all of the pieces not in place yet. I wondered this because in the past when there was an iOS big update, some of the iTunes pieces began to appear ahead of time with no announcement.
If that is not the answer, then can anyone explain what is happening.

I have ios 5.1.1. When I sync to iTunes, my purchased apps no longer work. They blink but do not open. The only way I have been able to solve this, is as follows: I delete one of the apps and then re-download and install it. Then, all my apps work.

If all user-installed apps are not launching, it could be an Apple ID authorization issue. Download and install an app that isn't already installed on your device to reset this information.

How do i uninstall a purchased app (that no longer appears in the purchased app list in the store) so that i can repurchase and have the app appear as "purchased" so that i can get updates as the software is updated periodically?

I am looking for some help with the app store. I recently purchased an app (aperture) in the app store and subsequently apple refunded the purchase price. However, the downside of this is that aperture no longer appears as a "purchased" app within my app store account. Accordingly, i don't believe i will get updates as the software is updated periodically. Apple has instructed me to delete all my aperture files, reboot and then revisit the app store to re-download and it should let me pay for the app and redownload just as if i had never had the app before. However, when i go to purchase aperture, i get a warning that it has already been purchased and that i can re-download for free. I never thought i would have this much trouble trying to pay someone for a product!

Is the app store looking to my hard drive for traces of aperture to determine whether it has been purchased or is it looking at some kind of purchase history within the app store?
Is there anyway to wipe my hard drive clean of aperture files or wipe clean my app store purchase history so that i can start over?
If none of this is possible, does anyone have a possible solution?

1. Do you have a backup connected to your Mac that contains the app? If so, yes the MAS can detect that and believes that the app is installed.
2. If the app no longer appears in the purchase history on the Purchased pane in the MAS, then it would seem that Apple has taken care of that.
4. Updates, such as you describe are free. Upgrades are not. An upgrade is a new paid version of the app, such as v 3.0 to v 4.0.

Unable to review apple id to purchase apps

I tried to purchase a free app after i had already made an apple id online. as with many others on here it told me my apple id had never been used in the itunes store and to review my information. I tried this first on my iphone. Signed in, agreed to the terms and conditions and entered my billing information. When i click continue on the billing information page it wont go anywhere a message just pops up telling me to contact apple support at www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww/ . so after talking to my father he told me to try it on a pc instead. i did and went through the same process and got the same result. so this time i went to the web address it gave me and it takes you to a country selector but doesnt resolve the issue of getting past the billing page, complete a review and happily go about purchasing apps. Ive seen many other questions like this but have found nothing helpful. everytime i see an apple support employee post a link that will supposedly help the situation it goes to a dead end so im posting another of the several posts like this. Help would be much appreciated.
Ive also noticed anything i try to install on my iphone will prompt the "no itunes store usage" message, including facebook or twitter. it seems if i try to install anything apple insists on me reviewiing my information on the itunes store, whether or not it has anything to do with the itunes store.

I was able to load the Productivity Suite / Free !! on both my iPad mini and my iPhone 5s with no problems and at no cost.

Purchased app doesn't sync to iPad

Purchased app shows downloaded on by pc but it doesn't sync to my iPad and although it indicated it's compatible with iPad, in iTunes it only shows up in iPod purchases downloaded, not in iPad purchases. I found that at the time I purchased it I didn't have enough storage on my iPad for it so freed up plenty of storage and deleted the app and "repurchased" as instructed in iTunes troubleshooting. It again showed it downloaded but still only as an iPhone app and didn't sync to iPad.

Purchased apps do not show up on my mac book air?

How do I sync my purchased apps to my new macbook air? They do not show up in the app store under purchases. I do see all of them in my itues account, but do not know how to sync them to my macbook?

From what you say, you probably got those purchased apps from the iTunes App Store.
Those apps can only be used in iPhones, iPads and iPods touch, and the only thing you can do on a Mac is to store them, not run them. Anyway, if you want to download them, you need to open iTunes and redownload them > http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519

Purchased "Moneypad app" missing in App Store. I've used that app for more than a year and all my financial records are in it. I have the backup but I need the app. How can a purchased app go missing??? Is that even legal??

I've used "Moneypad" app to record my financial transaction for over a year and I got an update today. After updating all the icons where misplaced and there were a lot of bugs in the app. The update said "Restore original app icon". So I decided to delete it and reinstall the app but now i couldn't find the application in the itunes store both through my Macbook air and my iphone 5. What do I do now?? how can a purchased app go missing? Is it even legal to delete apurchased app from the itunes store?? What happened to my money and the worst part is my records cant be used in anyother application but "Moneypad". There were 2 version of the app in the store. One was free and the other One was paid. I had purchased LOG TEN PRO UNIVERSAL, from the app store and had it installed on the iPad 2 , it worked great . Now I have purchased an iPhone 5 and I want to install the LTP UNIVERSAL INTO THE IPHONE but , in the app store It seems that I have to repurchase the app for some reason,this shouldn't be the case since the app clearly can be installed on an iPad n phone together , I don't know what to do about it . You should be able to re-download LogTen Pro from the Purchases section of the App Store. To find this, open the App Store on your iPhone, and tap the Updates section. At the top of the Updates screen there will be a "Purchases" section, and tap this to enter it. Make sure that you are logged in with the same Apple ID that you originally used to purchase LogTen Pro, and it will display a "download/cloud" button. Tap it, confirm your password, and it will download again.
This "Purchases" section has been known to be a bit buggy -- try logging out and back into the App Store on your iPhone if you don't see it.
The App Store handles all sales and customer information, so your proof of purchase should have been sent by them. It is usually emailed to you from "iTunes Store" with a title: "Your receipt No. ##########".

Unable to purchase apps

It wont let me purchase apps on my ipod touch. I try download or install an app and it doesnt do anything just says waiting and does nothing. The only way to clear it is to re start and when i do that i get an unable to purchase messgae. Is ther a fix to this problem available?

Try uninstalling then re installing ovi app store
Failing that try hardware resetting your phone
Make sure you have set up your wifi connection first, and set it as priority 1 in destinations in connection manager.
I have had so many problems with nokias, it just feels like it will be a bit hit and miss as to weather anything works.
I used an android for a little while and even the cheapest (t-mobile pulse mini) was so much smoother and more reliable.
Every time I needed help I found the fastest solution off other fraustrated nokia users, never off the company itself. Get an Android next time, the only thing nokia does well are small, cheap dumbphones.

I need help downloading previously purchased apps

i can see all my purchased apps in my itunes account BUT there is no option for me to redownload a few apps, and movies... most of my purchased items were synced over when i got my 4th gen but i noticed that a few of the very first items i purchased (when i first got my 2nd gen itouch) did not get downloaded... can anyone help me figure out how to download them (PS i have more then half my gb left to load stuff).

My Iphone4 wont let me purchase apps. Says my security code on Credit Card is invalid but its not.

My Iphone 4 will not let me purchase apps. Its says that I have an unresolved balance. My credit card is on file but it says that the security code is invalid. I have tried changing my address to be more specific, but nothing works. I know my credit card number is correct and that the security code is valid. I do not know how to resolve the situation. If someone has experienced this before and knows how to fix it you help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

My iPad won't let me download recently purchased apps. It says that I have never bought them.

The other day I upgraded to the latest ios7, and after I did that, the App Store says that I have never purchased or downloaded any apps, and that I have never deleted any. This is annoying because I have spent a fair bit of money on games which I played, but now I want back, but can't get them back unless I buy them again!
If anyone could give me some help as to what to do so that I can re-download my purchased apps, then it would be much appreciated!

You must use the same Apple ID used for the original purchase to re download for free.

I have recently bought an IPAD 2 for my girlfriend and have encountered a problem with purchasing apps through my itunes account.
