Purchasing Document Type (Purchase Order and Contract)

Dear all;
I have created two different PO  document type in development Server .I have transferd sandbox for further testing ,There i hve change the number range interval status to "0" after that I have created a PO with new document type in the sand box ,it is working fine but after save ,system showing some error msgs. as Below
Express document "Update was terminated" received from author "JOYDEEP"
What may be the problem.kindly suggest .

This update termination may be due to some configuration or may be due to some development which is resulting in the dump. Go to SBWP - your SAP inbox, there you will see a mail, open that mail to see the details for the reason for this update termination.

  • Differentiating of pricing schema for each purchasing document type

    Dear colleagues,
    This topic could be discussed before but I need to clarify some points.
    We would like to differentiate pricing schema per purchasing document types (e.g. AA and ZZ). These purchasing documents are not like domestic and import types.
    There some condition(s) where purchasing document type AA should not be able to maintain whereas ZZ should be able to.
    In this case shall use one unique pricing schema for both purchasing document types if so how can I hide some conditions for document type AA or if I use separate pricing schema how can I set different pricing schemas for different purchasing document types because both document types have same purchasing organization, vendor etc.

    Why to have two different schema groups! Is procurement process is completely different, so use to have!
    (have thought of separate condition types for each Calculation Schema)
    Based on Schema Group Of Vendor in the vendor master, the PO for vendor with respective Schema Group Of Vendor will populate the assigned condition typesu2019. Follow path:
    SPRO->MM->Purchasing->Conditions->Define Price determination process ->Define Schema Determination
    Under segment:
    Determine Calculation Schema for Standard Purchase Orders
    Here you can assign Schema Group Purchasing Organization, Schema Group of Vendor and Calculation Schema
    Under segment:
    Determine Schema for Stock Transport Orders
    Here you can assign Schema Group Purchasing Organization, PO document type and Calculation Schema

  • Change plant in purchase document type

    Dear All,
    I just created a new company, every configuration is done, but, when i create a new material code with a new purchase order, the purchase order doesn't allow me to change plant. it goes to default plant by purchase document type.
    what's wrong??

    What did you do to make a plant default by purchase document type, this sounds pretty much like an own development? Usually plants are defaulted from the referenced document or personal settings, and personal settings are not document type specific.

    Please make the following settings
    Scenario:
    Plant 0001 Should create only PO type NB and PR type NB
    Plant 0002 Should create only PO type ZNB and PR type ZNB
    TCode : OLME
    Create new PR type by copying NB (all dependencies): ZNB  <<<Separate number range can be used
    Create new PO type by copying NB (all dependencies) : ZNB <<< Separate number range can be used
    To avoid accidental assignment of (by users)
    Remove linkage of NB PO type to ZNB PR type
    Remove linkage of ZNB PO type to NB PR type
    TCode: OMDT
    Assign PR type per plant per MRP Group for MRP generated PR's
    Once MRP is run for materials PRs are created as follows plant 0001 type NB and plant 0002 type ZNB, when they run ME57 to create POs from PRs, ZNB PO type will default to PR types ZNB and NB type to NB.
    Authorization objects to be changed for each plant respectively (go to SU21 to look up)
    Users of Plant 0001 can only create NB type PR and NB type PO
    Purchase Order:
    M_BEST_BSA   ACTVT=01; BSART=NB; 
    Purchase Requisition:
    M_BANF_BSA   ACTVT=01;BSART= NB;
    M_BANF_WRK  ACTVT=01;WERKS= 0001 ;
    Users of Plant 0002 can only create ZNB type PR and ZNB type PO
    Purchase Order:
    M_BEST_BSA   ACTVT=01; BSART=ZNB; 
    Purchase Requisition:
    M_BANF_BSA   ACTVT=01;BSART= ZNB;

    Ofcourse you need to create output message config for each PO type.

    purchasing document type - 0doctype has data in bw and displayed in report. i need text desc also get displayed along with doc type. i didnt find text desc for that doc type. kindly explain me in detail how to go abt it

    Hello Sridhar
    0DOCTYPE is a standard infoobject which does not have text enabled, that means there will not be a standard datasource avaiable for it.
    If you want the text for 0DOCTYPE in BW (as you said the text is available in R/e table v_t161), you will have to create a datasource based on this table and fetch the text data into BW.

  • Puchase order and contract.

    Hi ´gurús,
                     I would like to know if it is possible to lock the field "Net price" of the purchase order when this document refers to a contract.
    The user should not modify this price when the PO refers to a purchase order.
    Its possible trough customizing? Security?

    Hi,
    This is not possible for PO's with reference to a particular document etc.
    However, you can use "Field selection key : item category/document category" for individual document categories.
    A   for RFQs
    B   for purchase requisitions
    F   for purchase orders
    K   for contracts
    L   for scheduling agreements
    Field selection key: purchasing document type
    The field selection key that you have assigned to the document type for the purchasing document. For example, field selection key UBF is assigned to document type UB, which is used for stock transfer orders (within a company code). In this key, the fields Price and Price unit are suppressed.
    You can try using BAdi/Enhancement in your case.

    1. You can create new PR and PO docu types at the following path:
    For PR docu type:
    First you need to create number range for docu type or you can use existing number range also. The path for creation of no. range is
    SPRO>Materials Management->Purchasing->Purchase Requisition->Define Number Ranges
    Then create PR docu type at below path and assign no. range to PR docu type here only
    SPRO>Materials Management->Purchasing->Purchase Requisition->Define Document Types
    For PO docu type:
    Follow same procedure as mentioned for PR docu type. Path is
    SPRO>Materials Management->Purchasing->Purchase Order->Define Number Ranges
    SPRO>Materials Management>Purchasing->Purchase Order->Define Document Types
    If you want to create PO referencing new PR docu type, link the PR docu type to PO docu type at below path:
    SPRO>Materials Management->Purchasing->Purchase Requisition->Define Document Types--> Link purchase requisition - document type

    You can point out all the fields with
    1) At the time of defining Screen lay out for purchasing (NBF) in MM for GR-IR Control.
    2) or you can tally which tables are conjugated with MSEG from SE11.

  • Retriggering Release strategy for PR with Document Type, Company Code and Price Range as Characaterstics

    Hi Friends,
    I have a issue to fix. The issue is releated to PR.
    There are some PR's in the system which has wrong release strategy picked up or wrong approvers picked up due to some congif change. now that the config changes are rectified correctly, we need to find a solution to correct the PR's which got affected due this.
    I have to retrigger the release strategy for all the affected PR's.
    The characterstics which we have consider for release strategy is Document Type, Company Code and Price Range.
    Can anyone suggest how can we retrigger the PR in bulk or individual to all the affected PR's, so that it picks up correct release strategy as per new config changes.

    While posting the transactions by using FBCJ T.Code u can select the Receipts or Payments or Expenses then the documents will be genereted.  FBCJ02 is the T.Code for no.range there u can assign the no.range intervels.

  • Mapping of invoice document type in SRM and Backend

    hi,
    I need to map invoice document type in SRM and backend. We are in SRM5.0.
    e.g. when we create no PO invoice , we need to select document type from drop down  and that document type should be replicated to backend invoice document type.
    1. There is no list in drop down of invoice document type ( RE/RN)
    2. How it will be replicated to back end document type when enter document type instead of selection?
    If anyone came across this, pls let me know.

    Dear All,
    We have configured the following Document Type:
    NB - Standard PO
    UB - Stock transport ord.
    ZIMP - Import PO
    While creating the Purchase Order (ME21N), all these three Document Types are visible to all the Users for Transaction across all Plants/ Company Code.
    Is there is any possibility where in we can restrict the Display based on the Plants?
    For example, we want the Users of Plant 1002 to use the UB - Stock transport ord. Type.
    It does not sound good, yet for clarification, I am putting my doubt across u.
    Is the Document Type Configuraion anywhere related with Plant?

    Hi,
    I think there is not such configuration available to default the PO document type based on the Plant.
    The only solution for this is to use default document type at the PO header level.

  • Purchase Order and Contract - controlling overall value

    Our process has the following steps - The total amount in the order to the vendor is fixed. Indivdual services have rates fixed, but quantities are not fixed ie, the quantity can vary from 0 to any upper number subject to the overall value of the order. I tried the following:
    Created a contract (ME31K) with the services and rates entered (quantity kept as 1). Overall value entered as the contract limit. PO created (ME21N) and Contract details and overall limits entered. Service items adopted from the contract and the 'No Limit' box checked for individual services. All service quantities maintained as 1 no, rates copied from contract.
    With this my expectation was that the system will allow multuiple service entry sheets for each of the services upto the limit specified by the contract. However the system allowed Service Entry for value exceeding the overall limit of the contract.
    What other configuration needs to be done to make sure that beyond the overall value limit, system does not allow service entry.

    Please remove the No limit check and keep only the value in contract limits. The system would then force you to enter the additional value in unplanned services during SES creation. The same applies when you are using Other Limits (Mentioned limit in other Limits tab in PO creation)
    If it does not work, check message settings for message # SE 347, 364, 365 & 366.
    If it still does not work, please open an OSS message to SAP.
