Purchasing Games Using Itunes Gift Card

Everytime I try to purchase Sonic, it asks to use credit card, when i have $10.33 on my account.

Sure, just google "old itunes versions", but I don't think that will help.
They changed things on the Apple servers around the time v7.7. was released. So even with an older iTunes version, I doubt you'll be able to purchase games with a gift card.
In case I wasn't clear, I was just trying to point out it is a recent change...I've bought games with a gift card in the past, too.

    I'm not sure what you mean. Did you redeem the gift card to your iTunes Store account? If not, just give your brother the gift card and he can redeem it in his own iTunes Store account. If you did redeem the card, then there's no way to transfer the balance from your iTunes Store account to his. He'd have to use your iTunes Store account to make the purchases and sync to his devices.

    and now, when i tried to check again my network preference below the airport tab is showing a message that
    "my airport does not have an IP address and cannot connect to the internet!"
    then after seconds it will goes back to the first message that
    "airport has the self assigned IP address etc....."
    i don't know whats going on now!

    The credit should be on your account.
    You shoudl not have to re-enter anything.
    It should stay on your account where you can access it from any computer/device with itunes.
    Just sign into your account.

    How did you create the account ? Unless the instructions on this page are followed when creating an account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
    then credit card details will need to be entered before the account can be used to download any item from the store.
    If you didn't use those instructions then you will need to enter card details (you should be able to remove them after entering them), or create a new account (and use the instructions on that HT2534 page when creating it).
