Purchasing itunes movies for brother abroad

My brother is in Thailand for vacation , can I purchase a gift, and will he be able to download it there?
also is there a way to send multiple gift purchase items in one email ( or transaction ) or can you only do them one at a time? Ex: I have 3 movies I want to send but it doesn't seem like I can add them to a list and gift all, only one at a time?
Thanks

First I got this response
I hope this e-mail reaches you in good spirits! Before I start finding a solution to your issue, let me start off by introducing myself. My name is XXXXXX from the iTunes Store and I'll be assisting you today. I understand you're wanting to know if you can purchase a gift for your brother that also has an iTunes Store account the U.S. I am happy to address this question for you.
You can buy songs, albums, videos, and audiobooks and send them to anyone who has a valid email address. iTunes delivers your gift by email to either just one person or a group of people.
Your iTunes gift will be sent to your brother via email, so make sure you carefully check your brothers' email address. He will need an iTunes account that is associated with the country you purchase the gift in.
The iTunes gift will be charged to your account. If you do not have a payment form listed on your account, you will be unable to purchase an iTunes Gift. Store credit cannot be used to purchase a gift.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with and I'll be more than happy to help. Have a wonderful day!
Then when I asked to clarify......
Thanks for the quick response , so just to confirm, as long as he has a valid US itunes account he can Download any thing I gift him, even if he is in another country at the time ?
I got this..
XXXXXXX here again from the iTunes Store. Unfortunately, you will not be able to send a gift to your brother in Thailand. The terms of sale which states "U.S. SALES ONLY Purchases or rentals (as applicable) from the iTunes Store are available to you only in the United States, its territories, and possessions, and are not available in any other location. You agree not to use or attempt to use the iTunes Store from outside of the available territory. Apple may use technologies to verify such compliance.." would prohibit this action.
makes me think you can do it, but it's frowned upon. Same as alot of stuff with Apple

How can I put my recently purchased iTunes movies onto my thumb drive and WD my passport external hard drive. My Mac is saying that can't be copied because it is too large for volumes format

[file] is too large for the volumes format
That is usually an indication that the Volume was never Erased or Partitioned for GUID partition table and Mac OS, and is still in a Windows format.
Mac OS X Extended (journaled) has no such file-size limitations

  • Purchased iTunes movies stop after 10 to 15 minutes.

Purchased iTune movies stop playing after 10 minutes and have to be restarted.

Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment.

  • Delete Purchased iTunes Movies and TV programs

I have purchased itunes movies and TV programs that I want to delete from itunes permanently.  They were deleted until I purchased Apple TV.

    Hello filburt,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. The 2nd and 3rd generations of Apple TV do not have traditional storage. What you are seeing is the purchase history and it will stream from iTunes when you want to watch. It isn’t taking up space on your Apple TV

TV shows will only appear in the cloud if you are in a country where they can be re-downloaded from the store (you can't add them yourself), in which case they will appear in the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app for re-downloading. But they will only appear there if you are in a country where they can be re-downloaded, and then only as long as the TV company leaves them in the store (content providers occasionally remove their items).

  • Is it safe to just store my purchased iTunes movies in the iTunes cloud rather than filling up my Macbook Pros hard drive?

Is it safe to just store my purchased Itunes movies in the Itunes cloud rather than filling up the Macbook Pro's hard drive with HD content?

Not safe, no. The movie's owner can remove a movie at any time, which does happen from time to time, making it impossible to re-download later. You should always keep a backup copy of any app or content that you care about.

  • Hello I purchase some movies for my kids on ituns for my ipad 2, we wacht them a cople of times and and now everytime y try to whact them it said this movie format is not supported, what can I do

I purschase some movies for my kids on ituns for my ipad 2 we see the movies a cople of times and know every time I try to wacht them it sais this movie format is not supported? What is wrong I want to see them or get my money back
    Thank you for your help

your situation is not new.  Others have been told by Apple that they have to purchase the entire bottom panel in order to replace the feet.  There are engineering solutions that can solve this problem, but to pay nearly $200 to replace a part that costs less than $1 (I am being very, very conservative) to manufacture is too excessive.
I have had the feet come off as well.  Fortunately for me, I have not lost them and have been able to replace them.  Why they cannot sell them individually is a puzzle to me.  Perhaps some bean counter at Apple feels its too much effort to have these items individually  in their inventory.  I have had nothing but good comments to say about Apple, but sadly this is an exception.
To address your problem, I have seen second hand ones advertised on Ebay.  The price was a bit steep, $10 as I remember.  Other wise, wjosten's suggestion is the only alternative.
    Ciao

  • How to access purchased iTunes movies/TV episodes without loading large amounts of data on devices

II have a quick question and I apologize if it has already been addressed in another forum & I had not found it yet (if so please link me to that forum) but I was looking for a way to stream movies and TV episodes that I have purchased on our iTunes account to our iOS devices for my 2 young boys while on a flight to Orlando and while there during a family trip to Disney, along with other different events like long car trips and the like. I was looking into one of the new storage devices coming out later in January of '13 called the Seagate Wireless Plus bit not sure if I was able to get my iTunes movies onto it so that I can stream from it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated on if this device would do the job and if not, any advice on other options.
    Thanks again!
    John

First I just want to say thank you for the suggestion.
There were no errors shown just stopped after several hours, also sleep is turned off. What I started doing is taking lets say approximately 6GB at a time and maybe doing this 4 or 5 times and after about 20 to 30 minutes it is done and I do this all over again.
I will run the disk utility like you suggested and try that again but give or take there are probably 2500 files that are 2+GB in size and then all of the music files we have collected is around 90GB total if not slightly higher.

  • Purchased itunes movie stops midway through operating

I purchased a movie from the itunes store and when i play it, it will stop half way through the movie. It says its playing, not paused. I have tried to start it from different points but if i start it in the later half it forces me back to the middle and won't play any further. i have restarted and it still does not work. I bought the **** thing for $14 and can't watch it or return it. Any help?

I can transfer and see rented movies when I sync my iphone, but purchased movies don't give the option of transferring at all, even efter sync-ing multiple times. It is in the itunes library, and it's viewable through my computer, but right-clicking on the purchased movie or trying to drag and drop onto the iphone is futile =/. There doesn't appear to be anything in the user guide that mentions purchased movies specifically, but rented movies are mentioned multiple times. Do I have to assume that purchased movies are not transferrable to the iphone? If so, that would pretty much stink.

  • Purchased new 4s for Brother in Australia who travels to the States frequently... Need help please. :)

Purchased new 4s for my brother in Australia who travels to the States frequently.  He has an Aussie iTunes account and well as an Aussie iphone he uses within that country.  He needed an American iPhone as he travels to California at least 15 times a year.  He is now on my AT&T account as an added line.  How do I activate his iphone using my apple ID today, yet still retaining separate itunes accounts for purchasing please?
Will he be able to purchase(apps) and sync(updates) his American phone to his Aussie itunes account?  Or will he have to continue to log in using my Itunes account from Australia? (My icloud log in is different, so privacy is not an issue).  Obviously we will not be sharing a computer due to a few oceans between us.
I simply want to keep our messages, contacts, calenders private and separate, while giving him the ability to use the american iphone whenever he is here in California...as well as purchasing a few apps when needed.
    Thanks!

Thank you Ed but he does have an aussie iphone as well.  That be used daily, and this new iphone I bought for him will be used ONLY in the States when he travels.  I may just create a new apple ID for him, so he can have his own bubble to purchase purely for his American iphone.  At least Apps and Itunes should not be affected by location.  Cheers!

  • How do I transfer a purchased iTunes movie to the cloud and free up the 5GB from my iPad?

I purchased a movie from iTunes using my iPad. How can I transfer that movie to the cloud and free up the 5GB from my iPad?

There is nothing to "transfer." The iTunes in the Cloud service is always-on. Simply delete the movie from the iPad and it will still be in your purchase history for re-download. However it is strongly recommended that you download all purchases to your computer and back them up locally as the iTunes in the Cloud service is not a backup service and should be relied on as such.
To find the movie in your purchase history in iTunes make sure you are logged in with the same Apple ID used to purchase the movie on the iPad.

  • HT204370 Watching purchased iTunes movies from iPad on iMac?

I purchased a movie through iTunes on my iPad (4th generation). Can I watch the movie on my iMac (OS X 10.9.4) too? If so How?

Depending upon what country that you are in (and if the film is still in the store) then you might be able to redownload it on your Mac's iTunes via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage. If not then connect your iPad to your Mac's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases to copy it over.

When is Itunes going to make their movies available to all pad user, i.e. Kindle Fire?
Apple is missing out on a large market. Like many families, are dual tablet user. I would love to watch our itunes movie library on my Kindle.

I'm afraid not. You can't share a WiFi connection via WiFi.

  • Viewing purchased iTune movies problem.

Why is iTunes is now not playing half of my iTune movies.

I'm having the exact same problem. I've restarted, reset, and restored. Restarted the router. Same thing. No content shows up with music, and playing tv shows, or movies just loops me back to the title page. Netflix works. Hulu works. I can download, and play all content on the iPad. And the iPhone. Just not Apple TV.
It worked fine until last night as well... Very disappointed.
