Purchasing Music From ITUNES?

Hey I'm on my parents computer trying to help them out with a new Creative ZEN music player. I purchased 3 songs on itunes and then tried to put them on the music player. Every song I purchased came in a Mp4 format and therefore I cannot put those on the player. I tried to convert the files to mp3 but seeing as the files are "protected" I cannot convert them. What the heck am I suppose to do?

Songs on the EMI label are the only songs sold through the iTunes store that are not copy protected. If your Creative Zen supports AAC (check your manual, I don't know), those tracks should play. They are, however, more expensive, 1.29 vs. .99.
Copy protected songs from the iTunes store will only play on computers, iPods and certain iTunes compatible cell phones.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can use different ID's for iTunes and iCloud.
Just delete the account in settings > iCloud and create them their own account.
if the children are minors, you wiil need to create and be responsible for each account yourself.

Can anyone tell me how to transfer purchased music from iTunes to my iPod without first downloading to a CD?

If you are using the latest version of iTunes (4.6), then you need to make sure your ipod software is up to date also.
When you have done this, authorize your music in iTunes by playing a few seconds of it, and it should transfer by whatever synching method you choose.
Get the latest updates here.
If you have done all this and still can't transfer it, post back with more info about what is happening.

What country are you in ? If you aren't in the US and the address on your account isn't in the US then try going to the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app on your iPad and tap on your account id, tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account, and then select the Country/Region section and select your country.

You can't - the Terms of Use of the stores state that you can only buy from the country that you are in (e.g. due to licensing/distribution terms etc)

Thanks. I know how to do that, however, I thought it only works with the imported content not the purchased ones. The reason for wanting this was that I keep all my music in NAS drive for SONOS (the wireless music system) will need the music to be in NAS so that it can play music while the mac is on sleep mode.
Anyhow, I will try again and let you know if it does work.

I had this problem just recently.
I discovered that the problem was located here: ROOT / Users / Shared -- if you open that and the "adi" folder has a little red minus symbol in its corner, your permissions have somehow been lost. (If you can't see your root directory, open Finder Preferences and, under sidebar, check "Hard disks." That will make your root drive visible.)
If the "adi" folder has the red minus symbol, right-click the folder and select GET INFO.
Sharing & Permissions is probably set to "System: Read & Write | wheel: Read Only | everyone: No Access"
If so, your user account has no permissions, and that means iTunes can't use the folder properly.
To fix this, first unlock the folder using the padlock icon in the bottom-right corner of "get info." You will have to supply your admin password to do this.
Then click the little + sign in the bottom left corner to add a user, and select your user ID from the list of choices. Give yourself Read & Write permissions. (Alternatively, you could change the permissions of "everyone" to Read & Write; others have done that, but I was leery of doing it).
Re-lock the folder when you're done.
Hopefully that will solve it.

Hmmm. There's a couple of things that might be going on with that one.
Let's try an uninstall and reinstall of QuickTime first.
If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel. Select "QuickTime", click "Change" and then click "Remove".
If you're using & or Vista, head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select QuickTime, and then click "Uninstall".
You can get QuickTime back either via Apple Software Update (in your Start menu go "All Programs > Apple Software Update" ... QuickTime should appear in the "New Programs" section), or by downloading a QuickTimeInstaller.exe from the following location:

Go to the Store menu item on the menu bar, and choose Authorize This Computer, as shown below.
If by any chance you don't see the menu bar (File, Edit, View, Controls, Store, Help), first enable it by using CTRL+B.
