Purchasing music from other stores.

Hi everyone:
Is it possible to do it? I scroll down to select different store, but it logs me out. I can't download anything without changing my billing address but is there another way?

You need a credit card in that country with a billing address in that country, or a gift card with a street address in that country. There are no other ways.

  • Purchasing music from other sites

I have tried to purchase music from other sites such as Tesco Music. In all cases they all require Internet Explorer! Having just switched from a Windows bases pc to an iMac I do not wish to go backwards. How can I buy music from other than iTunes?

If you are referring to Tesco's digital downloads, those are available only in copy-protected Windows Media format and cannot be played on a Mac. Other than the iTunes Store, only those download stores offering tracks in MP3 are Mac-compatible. I'm not sure if there are any available from the UK yet that are carrying major-label content.

  • Since downloading iOS 7, I have been having trouble purchasing music from iTunes Store. When ever I try to make a purchase I always get the message "Your account    is not valid in the US  store"

Since downloading iOS 7, I have been having trouble purchasing music from iTunes Store. When ever I try to make a purchase I always get the message "Your account    is not valid in the US  store" As I am new at this I don't know what I can do to remove this problem.

What country are you in ? If you aren't in the US and the address on your account isn't in the US then try going to the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app on your iPad and tap on your account id, tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account, and then select the Country/Region section and select your country.

  • How can i designate the location of the purchased music from itune store?, how can i designate the location of the purchased music from itune store?

how can i designate the location of the purchased music from itune store?, how can i designate the location of the purchased music from itune store?

    Hi,
Thanks.  I know how to do that, however, I thought it only works with the imported content not the purchased ones.  The reason for wanting this was that I keep all my music in NAS drive for SONOS (the wireless music system) will need the music to be in NAS so that it can play music while the mac is on sleep mode.
Anyhow, I will try again and let you know if it does work.
    Thanks again.

  • TS3297 iTunes error coe 8012: cannot download newly-purchased music from iTunes store.

iTunes error coe 8012: cannot download newly-purchased music from iTunes store.  Anyboy else get this looping error?

    Hey everybody,
I also was experiencing the unknown error -42018 when attempting to download purchased music. Additionally, I was stuck in an endless authorization loop when attempting to play previously purchaed music. All this started when I installed the latest iTunes software 7.0.2.
I run windows XP Pro, and unlike the majority of users I actually set it up correctly with a dedicated administrator account, and regular user accounts instead of just running as admin all the time. For me, that was the cause of the problem.
The new version of iTunes software required FULL CONTROL privilages on the iTunes and iPod install directories for all user accounts that were using the program. (Previous versions worked fine, so this is a new thing.) Once I provided those permissions, iTunes worked correctly. Follow this link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/304040 for information on how to provide FULL CONTROL to every user account.
I hope you all find this helpful in solving your problem.
    Good Luck,
    Bill

  • HT1848 I had my Iphone in sync with iTunes in my desktop PC. I had purchased musics from iTunes Store and musics I did transfer from original CDs (legacy ones). How can I recover my whole music assests on Iphone to my iTunes in my notebook PC ?

I had my Iphone in sync with iTunes in my desktop PC. I had purchased musics from iTunes Store and musics I did transfer from original CDs (legacy ones). I no longer have my CDs once I did donate it to a public library. How can I recover my whole music assests on Iphone to my iTunes in my notebook PC ? At this time I only know how to transfer Apple Store purchased items.

iTunes will only import music purchased from the iTunes store.  If you need to import music to iTunes from your phone that wasn't purchased from iTunes you will need to use 3rd party software to do so, such as Touch Copy.

  • Buying music from other stores besides the U.S. one

i want to know how can i buy music from other stores around the world like from japan for instance i know i have a U.S. account but is there away i can buy music from those stores with my account????

This has been covered here many times already, but once again: Apple has no choice in the matter. It's due to restrictions placed on Apple by the record companies and other rights holders. From This Business of Music (10th Edition) (by M. William Krasilovsky and Sydney Shemel) (and thanks to the Mimico Kid for the reference) :
The difficulty of establishing workable business models for digital files (...) extends to where they are sold and where they are played. This is the issue of territoriality, and it is an illustration of how the Internet makes it necessary to reexamine basic assumptions that have been taken for granted (...).
(....) In the music business the primary problem is that copyrights are national and therefore specific rights are tied to national laws and the interpretations of national courts.
(.... T)hough we can one day hope to see the development of common standards with respect to copyright, the fact that the music business is building upon a history of nation-specific contractual relationships means that the goal of universal international standards is not, for the forseeable future, a practical one.
(...) Adding to the difficulty (...) the copyrights themselves may have been assigned to different companies in different territories. The best hope for a cleaner start and a simpler future is worldwide recognition that digital uses are in fact - and should be in law - totally new.
The content owners don't like cross-border sales of CDs either, but there's nothing they can do to stop such sales. They can, though, and do stop cross-border download sales, since if the download stores refuse, the rights holders won't license the tracks to that store.
So unless and until the record companies, et. al, all get together and agree to allow download stores to sell cross-border, there's absolutely nothing Apple or any other download store can do.

  • When can we able to purchase music from iTunes Store?

    Hello;
I would like to purchase songs from itunes store for my iphone but I can't. Because itunes turkey store that isn't an option and itunes US store doesn't authorize my credit card to make any purchases either. As far as I know some licensing issues need to be resolved in Turkey. So, Is Apple making any plan to resolve those licensing issues in Turkey? Thank you.

For music, you do not need the iTunes Store. You can purchase MP3s from any online source that is available where you live, and add the MP3s to your iTunes library.

  • I'm having difficulty importing purchased music from iTunes store to my new MacBook Air

I am having difficulty importing purchased music from iTunes to my new MacBook Air

What problem are you having ?
You should be able to copy your library from your old computer : How to move your iTunes library to a new computer. Or if both computers are connected to the same wifi network then you could use home sharing to copy it over. Or copy it from your backup of your downloads/library and add it via File > Add To Library.
You might also be able to redownload some/all of your past purchases via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage,or by going into iTunes > Preferences (command-comma) and ticking the 'show iTunes in the Cloud purchases' tickbox - it might then show in the Music part of your library with a cloud icon against it for redownloading.

  • IPod won't play purchased music from iTunes Store

My iPod won't play purchased songs from the iTunes Store. They play on my computer, using iTunes, through the iPod, but my iPod won't play the songs with headphones, or in my BOSE speaker station, nor in my car using my Belker radio adapter. I've purchased a few songs before, and haven't had this problem. I wasn't prompted, as I have been before, to enter in a password before playing the songs.

i have the same problem, and i looks like there are another 4 or 5 discussion threads with the same prob. my ipod is about 14months old, got one of the first 4th generations when they came out -- have never had a problem, then when i downloaded itunes 6, all of a sudden everything i have purchased since then plays fine on my computer and just keeps scrolling thru and not playing on my ipod. very very frustrating. i have tried everything, right down to a complete restore on it, and nothing helps. also, when i downloaded itunes6, my purchased music playlist disapeared -- i spent 2 weeks and 5 emails going back and forth with tech support because they wouldn't address the issue, and am wary of going to them with this one. i thought the drive or memory on the ipod was corrupted and was going to buy another one, but now i'm not so sure -- is anyone having this issue with a 5th generation? because what it looks like is itunes 6 downloads may not be compatible with 4th G, and that makes me a little cranky. any one find a solution for this yet?

  • Playing and/or converting purchased music from iTunes Store (in Windows).

I just purchased some music from the iTunes Store and now it's telling me it's protected and it won't play in anything other than iTunes. If I bought the music, shouldn't I be able to do with it what I will? I need to use it for a DVD I'm making with Windows Movie Maker and it won't allow me. HELP!

Tracks purchased from any legal download store carrying major-label content, including the iTunes Music Store, are copy-protected and so cannot be directly converted to any other format. You can, however, burn the tracks purchased from the iTunes Music Store out to an audio CD, at which point it will act just like any other normal audio CD.

  • Reinstalling Purchased Music from iTunes Store

I bought my daughter a 5th generation 30 GB iPod and she purchased a number of songs from the iTunes Store. Her downloads were on her PC and it went south (good ridance) and she now has a new 20" iMAC. I am sure that once you bought music from the iTunes Store you were allowed to get them if something happened and you lost the original download. If this is true how does one go about and get them again for the new iMAC?

The policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:
"Once a Product is purchased and you receive the Product, it is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage the Product, and Apple shall be without liability to you in the event of any loss, destruction, or damage."
You could try contacting the iTunes Music Store Customer Service and you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so. If you click on any of the links on this page you'll find a space at the bottom to email your query: iTMS Customer Service
If the songs are on an iPod, the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. A paragraph on it has been added to this article: Transfer iTunes Store purchases using iPod

  • HT201303 Why can't I purchase music from itunes store via my authorized laptop?

Could this have something to do this the fact that my account was set up while I was back home in the United States of America and now I'm deployed in the Middle East?  As stated, my laptop is authorized in itunes for purchases and I have purchased music in the past from this PC. Any suggestions? thanks!

Are you logging into the US Store, JG?

  • Cannot purchase Music From iTunes Store

    Hi,
I have an iMac indigo running OS X 10.2.3 and iTunes 4.7.1. I recently drank 5 bottles of coke and entered the promotion codes into the iTunes store to get my 5 free songs. My account registered that I had 5 song downloads available. I went to choose my first song and was told that I had to upgrade to iTunes 7, which requires OS X 10.3.9.
I don't have OS X 10.3.9 or iTunes 7 and had no plans to upgrade as my iMac does everything I need.
Does this mean I am now excluded from purchasing songs from the iTunes store?

I'm wanting an answer to this also. My ibook G4 800 ran like crap with itunes7(minimum req. is 1 GHz) so I downgraded to 6.0.5-and now I can't make purchases either! I bought season passes a while back (before itunes 7) and I got the first couple episodes , but now it won't download them anymore-says I need '7!!!! I am really ticked!!!

  • Re-downloading already purchased music from itunes store

My computer recently crashed, and had to buy a new computer. I have lost all my music files, and would like to download my purchases again to my new computer. How is this possible? My account history shows my purchases, but I seem to be unable to find out how to do it without buying the files again.
    Any advice?

Sorry to say, you were supposed to read the stuff that says you are responsible for backing up your music files.
If you have an iPod, you can get the purchases back from it.
You can contact the iTS and ask for another download, if they take pity on you maybe they will allow it since they have to pay royalties again on those downloads.
