Thanks for the post. Depending upon the printer model, print drivers may be available from ASU. If not, then go to hp.com and download Mt. Lion drivers to your iMac. After you complete the hardware setup of the printer, if connecting wireless, then connect the printer to your network and then complete the installation and add the printer. Then you can go back and remove your old printer. I hope this helps...Good Luck!

Their is two new Updates that are the same for the OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.5, except one has {Combo}. Which one do i download? The info on them are the same.
It appears Apple’s download servers are ‘overwhelmed’ today. I couldn’t download the newest iTunes update or IOS 7 and there are a lot of discussions today about not being able to download. One poster said they had chatted with App Store support who confirmed the problem.

i have an HP Photosmart Premium C410. It worked great with Mountain Lion, but it doesn't with Mavericks. Can't install any printing s/w even though it's on the network. Anyone know why????
So, this post, as well written as it is, went totally ignored by the HP personnel that are supposedto be "helping" us poor novices? WOW! No wonder this crap gets thrown out of the house so often.
I have two HP network printers. An HP Officejet 4500 G510g-m, and a HP Photosmart Premium C410a, and they are the most unreliable pieces of "equipment" that I have in my network. This is absolutely trhe crappiest bunch of junk on the market. The only thing worse than these "devices" is the support from HP for them.
I also have a HP Photosmart C5280 AIO, and a Deskjet D2345 Printer. I have little, to no, problems with these two. The "flagships" of my network imaging are the worst, of the worst. -

Apple charges less for OSX upgrades than most apps cost. I wouldn't bet on having them separated out, but you can use Messages now, since it's a beta. But I believe that even that gets shut off by Apple once 10.8 comes out.
I think you should just focus on getting Mountain Lion. Also, remember, the Terms of Use for this forum precludes us from speculating on what Apple will or won't do with new products/software/etc. -
Where are PDF files "printed" by Acrobat 8.3.1 in Mountain Lion?
I just got a new Mac Mini and transferred my old version of Acrobat Pro 8.3.1. I know that it will have some problems in Mountain Lion, but I only want to do a few simple things.
When I try to print to PDF and select Adobe PDF 8.0 as the printer (to create a PDF) file, then click "Print", no "Save" dialog box appears to ask where I want the file saved or what it should be named. It seems to be making a PDF file, since the printer icon appears on the dock for a few seconds, but I can't find the PDF file anywhere. I tried looking a "All My Files" sorted by date, but they don't seem to be there.
Does anyone know where the PDF files are being placed?
Meanwhile, of course, I am using the Mac's own PDF print option to make my PDF files, but I would prefer to use the Adobe one if possible.You could try using spotlight to search for PDF files... short of that, you may have to ask Adobe.

Many of my System Preferences will no longer work after installing Mountain Lion. Software Update, Startup Disk, iCloud, Time Machine, Notifications, etc. no longer will launch even though they do show their icons in the system preferences window. I keep getting a drop down window saying I must restart system preferences in order to use with a "Cancel" or "OK" choice. After I click on "OK" the window just keeps reappearing with the same choices and the pane I wish to use still remains inoperative. Third party preference panes DO work.
Reinstalling OSX Mountain Lion did not help. Neither did throwing away preferences.plist.Hi Jeff,
Tried to reply with my iPhone but not easy! Anyway, back on the laptop now. Yes the crash was bad but Tek support at Prism Sound was really good. In the end I rebuilt the whole system on a new disk which took a couple of days with all the plugins, softsynths etc.... but there seemed to be no alternative in my case, and this was agreed with Prism sound as being the only alternative left to me. I still don't really know what caused the crash but ML and Orpheus are both working fine now. Let's face it, you'll have to update at sometime..maybe best to pick some time between projects On balance, I suspect that my problems were unique to my system and that your installation will go ok.

Well I was able to obtain a work around download of Flash and it installed fine but Firefox tells me it needs updating so I go out, thinking I'm "IN" finally to update it and I get that issue of not being able to get the update for it. It's a regular laptop, not a touch screen or one of those new fangled ones for todays world. In fact it's a refurb so it's probably origin date was a year or so ago before all this MS stuff took off fully. So not understanding why I'm feeling like I'm being BLOCKED from getting the updated Flash I need and desire. If I click on the little "X" and tell it to ignore the warning the vid will play just fine but don't want to have to do that every time. Must be a better way.
Again, I'm sorry for posting in the wrong forum, getting this posted in the Flash forum was my desire but the way Adobe has this set up I just couldn't figure it out. I belong to ALLOT of forums and most are pretty straight forward but this one is confusing! -

hi have done as you said plug ethernet straight into computer and into back of router,and worked straight off,i had the the powerline on extention when imac was up stairs,when i had computer down stairs it still would not work with powerlines even on main wall sockets,so they are getting binned,looks like i will have to move router upstairs,just wondering if i got extention wire from back of openreach box to router upstairs```,would it be ok,,the openreach box is next to my only phone socket in house,which is in back kitchen..any advice would be great,

Try installing the Epson drivers from here:

and then seeing if adding and printing with USB works.

Itunes 7 and Multi Disk Backup Erroneous Message
iTunes 7 Backup feature gives a completely erroneous message when it completes the 1st of multiple (DVD) disks (tried and it did this twice). Message says backup failed but provides options to "retry", "cancel" or "next". First time I just cancelled.
