Purchasing Premiere

I am looking to purchase adobe premiere but everytime I go to register for the 29.99 a month package it tells me I need a serial number. I don't have a serial number because I havent purchased premiere yet. What do I need to do to get premiere?

I believe the $29.99/month price is for upgrades for existing customers of CS versions.  So if you haven't purchased a prior version of the software (eg: Premiere Pro CS6), then I don't believe you qualify for the upgrade price.  You need to sign up for the $49.99/month one.

  • Legitimate newly purchased Premiere Elements-10 32-bit install files not available

    Friends:
I purchased an $1100 Nikon camera and the deal included OEM PS Premiere Elements 10.
Legit purchase with a CD and legit Serial #.
Can't install because what is Adobe's fault, not the camera vendor's and certainly not mine.
    Adobe's own published notice:
"The 64-bit version of Adobe Premiere Elements 10 only installs on Windows 7 64 bit. If you have Windows XP 64 bit or Vista 64 bit, it's necessary to install the 32-bit version. Because the Adobe Download Assistant automatically downloads the 64-bit version in error, it's necessary to download the 32-bit version manually through alternate means."
The problem is that the same holds true for installing on XP Pro SP3 and Adobe makes no mention of it in the above admission.
Then, Adobe's own Solutions 1, 2 & 3 for manual download all fail, even after fussing for days over it.
Even Solution 3, the last ditch option, fails perhaps because Elements 11 is out and Adobe has killed the 10 download Ftp sites.
Files I am unable to download from Adobe (without entrapment by so called Free Dowload sites) are:
    http://trials2.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/PRE/10/win32/PremiereElements_10_LS15_win32.exe
    http://trials2.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/PRE/10/win32/PremiereElements_10_LS15_win32.7z
How can I solve my dilemma, being denied my right to learn Elements from a legally purchased 10 and being
forced to purchase 11 instead on top it. Fair?
I am requesting Adobe politely to make it possible to download the Adobe recommended two files withou hassles.
I must mention in this context my own  (and thousands of others') sad experience with Flash updates. Just follow
my own (and others') posts in Adobe forums. Plus, just read the Internet posts along these lines:
"It's impossible to download anything from Adobe. I have given up and I have given up on Adobe products."
Not that I want to, but I am forced into echoing the same sentiment.
    Can anyone help, please ?
    Thanks,
    Pradip A.

    Hello Mr. Wright:
The download now works. Appreciate your help.
The ...7z file is 1.37 Gb long. I have super high speed Fibre Optic Internet connection with Bell. I rarely have the ocassion to download files of this size. After downloading more than 1 Gb, the transfer hung - either at the Client end, or at the Server end. Bell is sending tech Thursday to mitigate some line noise they detected. Hopefully, the stars will fall into the right place before long.

I purchased premiere elements 13. I followed the instructions. Logged in to my account. Located mu order number but could not find the order detail page to click the download your product button. I was also asked to download the Akamai download manager which i don't understand why. Also It said that once the manager was installed the download would appear in the browser which it never did. So, I have no idea if it did download or not. Not sure what else I can try. Would love some help.

The Akamai download manager is used to download the software you purchased.  Try the download resources below.  The second one does not use the download manager.

You can also download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

  • Purchased Premiere 13. Won't burn dvd of slideshow created in elements 12.

I created a slideshow in Elements 12. Saved as WMV. Tried to burn DVD. Get message inviting me to try Premiere 13 trial. Have already purchased Premiere 13, but Elements 12 doesn't recognize that.
Tried opening Premier 13, importing my WMV from file. Go to create DVD. After seeming to go through the entire burn, I get a message that says something is stopping the complete burn. Provides a link that takes me to a page not available. Is there a way to get my Elements 12 to link to Premiere 13? What else can I try?

    susanK
If you have outputted your Elements Organizer 12 slideshow to obtain a wmv file saved to your computer hard drive, you should be
able to import that into Premiere Elements 13 Editor with the Editor's Add Media/Files and Folders and edit and export accordingly.
There is no integration between the Elements Organizer 12 Slideshow Editor and Premiere Elements 13/Elements Organizer 13.
However, you can convert the 12 catalog in 13. But 13 will require you to convert the slideshow in that catalog to its new format which
is significantly different from what you have used in 12.
Have you updated 13 to 13.1 yet. If you have, sounds like the program is using a new 13.1 feature which leaves you with .iso image file
if you hit burn to failure. You can take that .iso image file to DVD-VIDEO on DVD using a free program named ImgBurn.
You can also use Publish+Share/Disc/DVD  burn to Folder (4.7 GB) to obtain a saved folder containing the VIDEO_TS Folder that you can
get to DVD-VIDEO on DVD disc using the ImgBurn program.

    1. If you are within 30 days of purchase and purchased from Adobe as a download, then you can request return/refund from Adobe.
    https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/return-cancel-or-change-order.html
    2. You could install your Premiere Elements 13 on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit.
    3. If still in stock, purchase a version of Premiere Elements earlier than 13.
Adobe System Requirements point to 13 not supporting Windows XP, Windows Vista, or OSX 10.7. To test that a while back, I tried to install Premiere Elements 13 to my Windows XP SP3 32 bit computer. I found that I could download the 13 tryout from Adobe, but it would not install on the Windows XP computer.

Add On...Since you apparently have Premiere Elements 12, another option is to stay with version 12 on your Windows Vista computer. You would improve your situation with Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit computer and Premiere Elements 10, 11, 12/12.1, and 13/13.1.

  • Would like to purchase Premiere subscription but confused

    Greetings,
I currently have a Photoshop subscription that is CHF 14.04 a month. I would like to purchase a Premiere subscription, which is currently priced at CHF 28.08 a month. If I bought both of these, I would pay CHF 42.12 a month.
Now, I've just looked at the pricing plans and have seen that there is a "complete" offer special for current customers for CHF 42.12 a month, which according to the site, includes "Photoshop, Illustrator, and more."
My question is this: If I purchased Premiere (and already have Photoshop), would this mean that I would be paying for two programs when I could actually get the special and get both programs and more for the same price? Does the "and more" include Premiere?

    Hi there
The special offer for complete membership is for customers who have a registered copy of CS3-CS6.
I couldn't see any such registrations in your account so can't be sure you'd be entitled to this introductory offer price.  The regular price is CHF 70.20/month.
Complete membership includes Premiere.  If you don't qualify for the offer price you could purchase the single app membership for Premiere if you only require Photoshop + Illustrator.
    Kind regards
    Bev

  • I purchased Premiere Elements 13 a few weeks ago, it downloads without issue, but I can't open it. I get an error message that reads "Elements 13 has stopped working" HELP!!!

I purchased this online, downloaded it without issue, and it won't open. I get an error message that states "Elements 13 has stopped working"
I have removed it and redownloaded it several times, and still no luck... HELP!
When I contacted Adobe support that's all they suggested, to reinstall...

    taveliben
    What computer operating system?
Uninstall, free ccleaner run through, and reinstall with antivirus and firewall(s) disabled is not a bad idea. But, let us look at some other
    factors before that.
    1. When you try to open the program, how far do you get....Welcome Screen - clicking on Organizer or Video Editor or other?
Have you tried to open the program directly from the Adobe Premiere Elements.exe file after you have applied Run As Administrator to that file?
    2. Does the problem exist with and without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled? Are you working in a school or company network?
    3. Are you working with a pen and tablet device instead of mouse?
    4. Is your video card/graphics card driver version up to date according to the website of the manufacturer of the card?
    4. Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed and are you running the programs as administrator?
Let us start here and then decide what next based on the details in your reply.
Besides uninstall/ccleaner/reinstall, we may next try deleting the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file or the whole 13 Folder in which it
exists or installing the program in a newly created user account with administrative privileges and trying to run the program from there.
But, let us rule in or out the first 4.
Any questions or need clarification on any of the above, please do not hesitate to ask.
    Thank you.

  • Accidentally purchased Premiere Elements instead of Photoshop Elements (Software program..)

I purchased Adobe Premiere Elements 10 thinking it was a photo editing program.  It appears it is more of a movie editing program.  I am going to have to purchase something different for picture editing?

    Hi,
The equivalent software for working with photographs is Adobe Photoshop Elements. Please see: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-elements.html.

  • Video overlay issue after I moved from trial to purchased premiere elements

I was using the trial version of premiere elements and was happy with the product. So I decided to buy it. When I did this and put in the serial number I noticed all my video / title overlays are now black. places in my video where I dont have overlay there isnt a problem.
Why did this happen when I switched from trial to purchased product? How do I fix it?

Though I have never read of such problems, let's look at a few possibilities.
You mention "Opacity," and that got me to thinking. Select one of the Clips, that displays as black - click on it. Go to Effects>Edit Effects, to get the Effects Control Panel. Check the Opacity setting (one of the Fixed Effects on every Video Clip). What is that set to?
Test 02 - Dbl-click on one of those offending Clips, to open it in the Source Monitor. Does it play properly there? As that is accessing the physical file on the HDD, and not the editable version on the Timeline, that might tell us something about the file.
Also, what are the specs. of the files, that are not displaying? The reason that I ask is that there are/were a few limitations of the trial (think that the message might still be a sticky at the top of the main forum - not the discussions page - and that it alternates to one about Macs. Wait for it to display, and click on "See Details," to see if maybe there is something there. There are modules in PrE, that require "activation," when one goes to the full-paid version. This activation is usually done transparently, and the user is seldom aware that it has taken place. For it to take place, that computer WILL need to be connected to the Internet.
In your Timeline, do you have red lines over your problem Clips? If so, hit Enter/Return to Render the Timeline for best quality playback. Does that help?
Last, I would check my video driver, and update to the latest one available. My thinking here is that though a video display issue should be rather global for the display/playback in PrE, perhaps it's having problems, where you have two Video Tracks (that does require a bit more power, than just a single Video Track), and perhaps an OS update has rendered that video driver obsolete. That does usually affect the full display of the GUI and also all playback, but again, what you describe is not normal, so if we eliminate all possibilities, we might be able to zero in on the issue.
As you can see, I am just thinking aloud here, as I do not recall this issue ever being posted before. Also, just because something should happen (like PrE easily going from trial to full-paid, with just the S/N), does not mean that it will always happen, as it should.
Good luck, and wish that I had more for you.

  • Can you purchase Premiere Pro CS5 still?

I work for a non profit and already own many of the Adobe CS products.
I need to get Adobe Premiere on my home computer (mac - where as my office computers are PC) but I don't want to pay for the Clout. Is there a way to still purchase Adobe CS5 or 5.5?

No, but you may buy the perpetual license version of Creative Suite 6

  • Still have the "Created with Adobe premiere .. trial versions" even after purchasing premiere E 12

I had decided to use the trial version of PE 12 to see if I'd like it before buying it.  I used it on a previous project that I had started with a previous version of PE (version 9).  After few days, I decided to buy it.
I did, entered the serial number, signed in etc... Now I still have this "Created with Adobe Premiere ...trial version" banner all over the images and video clips?  You'd think that Adobe woulld automatically remove this now that I purchased the the program.
Anyone can help me with this?
    Thanks.

    LGT
When you say that you still have the Adobe watermark on your images and video clips, are you specifically talking about those images and video clips within a given project (project.prel file) OR are you referring to exports from the tryout product (file saved to hard drive or burn to disc)?
The Adobe watermark cannot be removed from an export of the Premiere Elements tryout. It can be removed from a project.prel file created in the tryout version. I have found it is an automatic process although some have reported the classical fix worked for them, that being, deleting the rendered files. If you were dealing with your issue at a project.prel level, did that deletion of the rendered files work for you?
If not, this brings up a possibily interesting twist in this FAQ since you are working with a project.prel created in another version before it was opened in Premiere Elements 12. I have always looked at a project.prel created in the tryout not one created in another version and opened in the later version.
We will be looking forward to your results.
    a. Premiere Elements 12 Expert workspace Timeline Menu/Delete rendered files
    or
    b. Going to the Adobe Premiere Elements Preview Files Folder and deleting the rendered files there.
