Purchasing ringtones
Hi All,
For some reason, while trying to create a ringtone using iTunes, I can't get the "buy" button to appear on my screen (it's somewhere off to the right). I've tried changing around the view but still haven't been able to get the "buy" button to appear. Any ideas?

You would have to create the ringtones.
Google will find several way to do this.
You cannot buy ready made ringtones from your computer. -
My purchased ringtones are not showing up on my iTunes account?! Where are they??
The screen on my laptop has an internal crack so im using my mom's laptop for now. When I connected my iPhone to the computer, I couldn't do anything without syncing my phone which meant everything got erased! I wasn't too upset because I backed up everything on iCloud. Well for some reason, it didn't back up anything and I lost all my media. No biggie. I added most of the songs and apps back. I tried to add the ringtones I've purchased from iTunes but they're not showing up under the "purchased" section of my iTunes account. I don't know why they're not showing up. It's at least 20 ringtones that I've purchased at $1.29 each! Please help!!
I purchased three ringtones on my iPhone 5. They installed quickly and I was easily able to assign them to contacts. The next time I connected my iPhone to iTunes on my computer the ringtones disappeared from my iPhone. They were still showing in iTunes ringtones section on my computer. They showed up on my iTunes accounts page as being purchased too. I tried everything suggested on the forums to get my purchased ringtones to show on my phone again, with no success.
I started trying different things out of desperation and finally lucked upon a solution. I opened iTunes on my computer. Under the Library section I opened Tones (left side of screen same section as music, movies, etc.). When the tones section opened it showed my three ringtones. I dragged the three ringtones to the desktop. I then deleted the three ringtones from the tones menu. It asked if I wanted to delete them from iTunes completely or just from the tones section. I chose to delete them from the tones section only. Once they were deleted From the tones section i went back to the desktop and dragged the three ringtones from the desktop back to the tones section. The computer automatically synced to my phone and VIOLA! the three ringtones appeared on my iPhone again.
Extra suggestion. I have been using an app from the iTunes Store named Ringtone Maker Pro. It takes songs from my iTunes library and converts them to ringtones. It does a great job. There is a video attached that shows exactly what to do step by step.

Have you tried checking specifically in Movies > Purchased or TV Shows > Purchased on the Apple TV?
Play previous purchases on Apple TV
You need Apple TV (2nd generation or later) to play content on Apple TV. Some features require the latest version of Apple TV software. If they're available in 1080p, you can play previously-purchased 720p HD TV shows and movies in 1080p.
Movies and TV shows
On the Apple TV main menu, choose Movies > Purchased or TV Shows > Purchased.
Select the item you want to view.
Choose Play.

If you are looking there and not seeing the episodes, I recommend verifying that you are signed in with the same Apple ID on the Apple TV that you are signed in with on your iPhone.

i had same prob, try this ...
make sure u have back up of all tones in itnes and on external drive for belts and bracers.
i had to uncheck the sync all button and run a sync in itunes with iphone 4 via usb, it warned me that i would loose all personal ringtones on phone, as i had lost them all it was no brainer.
i ran sync.
then i rechecked the sync all tones in itunes and run again and bobs ya uncle up they popped from itunes back on to iphone.
try it, it worked for me. -
Out of the blue, all of my purchased ringtones and music aren't displayed anymore on my iPhone.
I went to iTunes to see if they were stored there, but the downloads folder also appears to be empty. If I try to select a ringtone I've downloaded before, a popup appears saying that I've already purchased that item and asking if I want to cancel or buy. If I click on buy, then I pay for the item again even if I already have it! The only place I can still see my purchased items is in the iTunes application on my computer, but even though I've already selected sync, the ringtones and songs still won't appear on my iPhone.
What happeneded and how can I get them back without having to pay for them all over again?
Thank you!I'm having the same problem on an iphone 4s running iOS8; when i updated to iOS8, all my ringtones went missing, and when i got a £50 gift card for christmas (2014), I purchased some songs from the iTunes store on my iPhone. i downloaded songs from paramore, panic! at the disco, coldplay, and imagine dragons, over wi-fi, and they went into my iphone music library; but when i re-opened the music app a few days later, in a place where i had no wi-fi, except for my 3G phone signal, some cloud icons appeared next to my newly purchased songs, telling me to re-download them from the cloud, when i haven't even deleted them. this has happened twice now, and i had to use up some of my 5GB data allowance to redownload them from the cloud. This is annoying and i need to fix this issue ASAP.

I cant find my purchased ringtones on my itunes account? Anybody know how to find this? It's not popping up under Music in my purchased history. It is soooo frustrating because they make it so hard to find anything ringtone related on the itunes store!!!

First, it has to recognize the ringtones.
Then to assign to a contact,
On your iPhone, go to the Home screen. Tap Phone and then tap Contacts. Choose a contact, tap Ringtone and select a new ringtone. When that contact calls, you will hear that ringtone.

have purchased ringtone on iphone 4 not in my itunes library when i click devices, transfer purchases from, it appears in tones in my library but in a paler shade of print with a dotted circle to the left of it, if i try to click on it or take any other action it disappears and leave a blank space i have tried this several time i want to transfer library to my new iphone 5 but i will loose the ringtone
I had the exact same issue!! Seriously p*ssed me off when I checked out my ITunes purchased items (via my computer) and noticed that most of the additional tracks listed on my IPhone playlist was listed there too. However, I never authorized any purchases!! (I have actually written Apple Support asking for a full refund of all tracks listed on my purchased list)
Be careful when you swipe your finger to the left/right on those "additional" tracks on your IPhone playlist... I'm pretty sure that the cloud symbol is an option to download or automatically buy those tracks.
Solution for the problem:
1 - go to your IPhone settings
2 - choose "iTunes & App Store"
3 - go to "Show All" & "Music"
4 - turn off "Music" by moving the bar to the left (it should be a white color once you turn it off)

Purchased ringtones and alerts disappeared after updating to iOS 8.2
since updating to iOS 8.2 purchased alert tones and ringtones have disappeared and following the restore times link does not restore them. Also, cannot update any apps from the App Store. How do I get back my purchased ringtones and alert tones?

It sounds like you were trying to connect to the App Store when there were some system issues.
You can check the status at
Apple - Support - System Status
Note you can scroll back on the Detailed Timeline by clicking the back button to see some previous days.
Since the systems show they are up now, please try again and see this article for restoring your alert tones and ringtone purchases.

If you have copies of them on your computer's iTunes then you should be able to - if they show in the Tones part of your iTunes library then you should be able to sync them to your new phone. Or do you not have copies of them on your computer nor on your backup of your library ?

Ive purchased ringtones from Itunes. They were working before I did the recent update. I cannot find them on the iPhone and they are no longer assigned - I had five. I have synced several times and does anyone know where they are or how to assign them again?
On your iPhone tap Settings > Store
Make sure Music is switched on.
Now reset your iPhone.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
