Purchasing Used Copy of Photoshop?

I responded to an ad where a guy was selling CS4 Suite. Just wondering the legallity or if this is your classic case of piracy.

I purchased an Adobe Corporate CS4 . it came with a certain amount of activation codes. I called Adobe a few months back and asked them if I could sell the remaining activation codes that were not used. They told me yes. So, you would recieve a dvd copy of my full corporate edition. This is the full suite and not just an upgrade or educational license. You would also receive a valid and unregistered serial code for the software. It also comes with an adobe auto upgrade manager utility. It is a great software suite. Each activation code is independent of my corporate edition. So once you register online the activation code will be in your name. You will not have any problems using it. The install is very easy to understand. The activation code will be on the DVD called SN. This is not pirated and is a legal edition. So the license would then be in your name once you register it online.
I can also mail it out to you. I also accept PayPal. Let me know as I only have 2 licenses left

Here in Germany their European support (either Frankfurt or some place in Holland) is okay, but apparently for UK and US customers, a lot of that is handled in different places, depending who is home and what number button you push when choosing your support options. Installing a used copy of photoshop CS4 onto my macbook air?

I just bought a new macbook air and want to install a used copy of adobe photoshop CS4 onto it. I purchased it off of craigslist and it has the install CD. Obviously I cant use this on my air. I do have a desktop mac with an optical drive if that helps to transfer somehow. Thanks in advance!

Here is Adobe's statement on Lion Compatability.
As crh24 pointed out you may also have trouble activating it if ownership wasn;t transferred properly.

On 4/12/2011 I purchased a copy of photoshop CS5. It was then installed on my laptop computer. Later the laptop was damaged to the extent that the screen would no longer function. I have been able to make it work using an external monitor, however it cannot function as a portable laptop. I contacted Adobe and used their "live chat". In a lengthly conversation I was instructed to get the serial number and then deactivate "photoshop". This was done. Subsequent instructions indicated that I should download the file using Acamai. How do I do that? I need help!

if you have a problem dl'g, you didn't follow all 7 steps. the most common error involves failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).

Can I use a real copy of Photoshop for as long as I am paying for the Creative Cloud?

Hello, I am on Windows 8 and need a working copy of Photoshop but an outright purchase was just too expensive for me. So I subscribed to the cloud in hopes that I could just pay monthly for the software. But when I download Photoshop CC I see that it is still asking me for a serial number. So my question is, is the cloud monthly fee enabling me to use the software ongoing? Or do I still need to purchase something else at some point?

i cannot download a purchased copy of photoshop. I have the newest copy of Adobe. and When I tried to download exporer 10, i was told i have a new version of exporer, But when I click on Download for photoshop, It tells me:

If you never bought the product then you cannot get the serial number.

It would not work anyway. The activation servers have been retired and Adobe has provided a new CS2 download along with a new serial number for CS2 owners.

are set up so that tey will only install on that product.
It will install on any Mini of that exact vintage, but that
is all.

including Server, is only permitted to be run on one
computer at a time. Bottom line, unlike Lion, legally
you cannot install the same copy on multiple
computers unless some "family pack" or site license
