Purging DQM Sync Index 1 (DQM Sync Index)

I have just noticed that lots of the above concurrent programs run every minute or so and seems to be accounting for the large records in fnd_concurrent_requests table leading to performance issues.
Since I keep some c.request for weeks, I cannot purge all c.req but will like to purge those for the program - DQM Sync Index 1 (DQM Sync Index) but putting in the parameters in purge concurrent request/manager data, I can't find the application program it belongs to.
Could someone please let me know the application program etc DQM Sync Index 1 (DQM Sync Index) belongs to?
Thanks

Could someone please let me know the application program etc DQM Sync Index 1 (DQM Sync Index) belongs to?Navigate to (System Administrator > Concurrent > Program > Define) and query the concurrent program name to get the application name.
DQM concurrent programs belong to Oracle Trading Community (TCA) -- Search MOS website and the forum for details about TCA.

  • Old Mail in inbox disappeared

    This morning when I opened up my mail application all my mail that was received prior to today disappeared. I have mobileme and all the mail is still in my web mobileme mailbox.
    Why is it not displayed in my inbox on my computer? I just got my iMac a couple of weeks ago (I am a new mac user, previously owned PC) and have not set up an archive settings in Time Machine, so I don't have an archive folder to look in.
    Any ideas in what happened? Is there a setting that somehow changed that i don't know about?

    This is probably an indexing problem as 2pointS suggests, but may not be beyond what Rebuild of one or two mailboxes can fix. But when purging the Envelope Index while using an IMAP style account, see:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mail/3.0/en/14019.html
    Take note of the methodology when IMAP accounts are involved. For peace of mind, you might make a duplicate of the Mail folder (Home/Library/Mail) and drag the resulting copy to the Desktop for temporary backup.

  • ICal 10.5 missing iPhone entries

    For some reason that I've yet to determine, any new event entry created on the iPhone does not show up in iCal on OS 10.5(.1). I know it's iCal Leopard because other Macs synced through .Mac using Tiger 10.4 show the event in that iCal.
    The 10.5 Mac is the computer I use to sync iCal/Address Book/Mail w/ my iPhone. There is no sync problems (other than the incredibly slow sync time...see my other posts!) and anything created in iCal or even the other Tiger Mac shows up properly on my iPhone. I've gone through the arduous task of resetting .Mac, by entire info base, trashing prefs, resetting the iPhone and re-installing iCal & others but all to no avail. The event just does not show at anytime in Leopard's iCal.
    This seems to be another in a line of bugs w/ Leopard's iCal application, unless someone else has found a solution. (Although searches in this discussion has resulted in no help).
    /

    The other thing i did recently, which seems to have helped my sync - is to unregister all my computers, then purge any sync data in that process, then start registering again, starting with my master computer, then syncing by replacing info on .mac with master computer, then assuring myself that the reset is ok in .mac, then going to the second computer, registering that one, and syncing by replacing info on that computer with .mac.
    hope this helps

  • From and subject field are blank using imap account in mail.app

    Recently I changed my account from pop3 to imap.
    If I retrieve mail with mail.app first normally I get proper headers displayed in the message list window.
    If I READ the email on my iPhone 4 let alone respond to it, etc. and then go back to my mail.app all emails I chose to read, reply to, etc. have blank from, to, and subject lines in the message list window. They appear ok in the message window but not the message list window.
    Some people have same issues, but I haven't found any respons to get this fixed!!
    I hope someone can help me solving this problem.
    Best wishes.
    Simon

    In the Mail Preferences/Accounts/Advanced what have you selected with regard to Keep copies of messages and their attachments for Offline Viewing?
    Also, does your provider's IMAP server support use of the IDLE Command?  If getting push email on the iPhone, considered deselecting this if currently selected -- it can cause problems with servers not fully supporting it.
    I think it may be useful to purge the Envelope Index file from the Mail folder.  Force a reindexing by deleting the Envelope Index. With IMAP or Exchange account, forcing reindexing requires removing the account folder. See:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mail/4.0/en/14019.html
    Ask any questions needed to get comfortable with doing this.

  • Blackberry bold and mac

    im using a blackberry bold 9000 and a mac laptop, i used to be able to sync all my data but i upgraded my bb tru windows. after that i can't sync the bb to my mac already. pls help. what will i do?

    Hi kiwiinvan,
    Could you please try the steps listed below in order to resolve your issue:
    - Try rebooting your Mac and ensure that you log in with an account that has full admin rights.
    - Open iTunes on your Mac and accept any license agreements if prompted.  Also please ensure that you have at least one playlist in iTunes with at least one song in it.  This is required in order for PocketMac to function properly.
    - Make sure you don't have any other sync software installed on your Mac such as Missing Sync or Blackberry Media Sync etc.
    - Try repairing disk permissions by going to Macintosh HD\Applications\Utilities\ and running the Disk Utility application.  Select the Macintosh HD and click Repair Disk Permissions. This process may take a few minutes.  After repairing disk permissions, try synching again.
    - If fixing disk permissions doesn't work, can you try synching one PIM database at a time e.g. just Contacts by itself?  This will determine if the issue is being caused by a particular database.  If you find that you are getting the message on one database only, we would recommend clearing the affected database on the device using the Data Purge utilty and then clearing the sync history on the Mac using Sync Clean.  Please note, this will delete all the entries on your Blackberry, however once the entries on your device have been deleted, you can reimport the data from your Mac back to your device.  To run Data Purge and Sync Clean, please follow the steps 1 and 2 listed in the article below:
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB10501
    After you complete these steps, please configure PocketMac to do a one way sync from the Mac to the BlackBerry (choose the overwrite device option in Advanced Preferences).  If the sync is successful, reconfigure PocketMac back to doing a 2-way sync.
    Please let us know if this works for you or if you have any questions or issues!

  • Object lock

    Hi,
    We are running Oracle10gR2 in OLTP production 24*7 environment.
    It is a DB having 100 requests/sec on concurrent basis.Database size is rapidly growing 40 GB/month.
    Present size is 300GB.
    We have often observed object locking and hence loosing business.
    Exercise done so far are as follows:
    1. Increased the intrans of the locked object.
    2. Partitioning & regular purging.
    3.Index rebuild.
    Please place your valuable comments.

    What's doing the locking? What is it locking? What version of Oracle are you using?

  • ERROR while syncing the Text Index

    Hi All,
    We are facing an issue while syncing the text index on the table, and the error is below,
    System error: Plsql job execution is failed with error code -20000 and error message ORA-20000: Oracle Text error: DRG-10017: you must be CTXSYS to do this: SYNC
    We have granted the USER with CTXAPP and CTXSYS roles.
    We are scheduling the SYNC from the QUARTZ Scheduler and it happens for every 5 Minutes. We are getting this error in ADHOC Basis.
    Could anyone help us in solving the issue.
    Thanks.

    Hi
    to be able to run ctx_ddl.sync_index as a database job it is necessary to have explicit grants for ctx_ddl, the inheritance via the role ctxapp does not suffice.
    SQL> grant execute on ctxsys.ctx_ddl to <user_submitting_the_job>;

  • Music files in my PC's iTunes directory have been moved around, now iTunes' index is not recognizing them and returns error messages. The files have previously been sync'd to my iPod, but when I tried to sync back from the iPod, iTunes on the PC error'd.

    I want iTunes to reconstruct its index of my music.
    We accidentally moved files around in my <<C:\Documents and Settings\Jordan\My Documents\My Music\iTunes>> directory. We tried to move them back, but anyway, the iTunes program now no longer can find/play the titles that the opened iTunes page/Library displays.
    I had previously copied/syncd all my iTunes music to my iPod. I tried syncing back to the PC from the iPod.  No improovement.
    At the moment, my dad is on my computer, logged in under his name (with administrative permissions). It seems that looking at my iTunes music under his login is still working OK.
    I do not have my music backed up to the "cloud".
    What are my options?

    The "missing file" error happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
    Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
    If another application like Windows Media Player has moved/renamed the files then the chances are that subtle differences in naming strategies will make it hard to restore the media to the precise path that iTunes is expecting. In such cases, as long as the missing files can be found somewhere, you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes. See this post for an explanation of how it works.
    If you have to resort to trying to pull back the library from your iPod see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

  • DQM Sync in TCA: Facing issue with the sync of  Attributes.

    Hi All,
    We have a system where the syncing of some attributes like the party number etc in HZ_PARTIES takes place when ever a new party is created in the Customers Online Module, and i am able to search it using a search screen, but there are these custom attributes which are also linked to DQM through setups and also some standard attributes like the ORIG_SYSTEM_REFERENCE attribute in the HZ_ORIG_SYS_REFERENCES table which are not Synced automatically, can you please suggest why is this happening and what could be the way around for their automatic Sync and not having to run the DQM Staging program everytime.
    Also we have faced regular instances in the way the search gets disabled, due to not syncing For Eg: when a custom table having some details for the Product and services related to the party are updated, or any other attributes lof the HZ_ORIG_SYS_REFERENCES are updated and not the ORIG_SYSTEM_REFERENCE which is used for search, This also sometimes leads to disabling the search.
    Can you please suggest what can be the possible reasons and the workarounds for this.
    What i am expecting is a way that this can be overcome and we dont need to run the Staging program instantly to correct the problem , though we may be scheduling the Program run for once a day.
    Thanks,
    Mayank

    Have you tried going to ->
    Trading Community Manager -> Administration -> DQM - Synchronization -> Synchronize Method
    Set the Synchronizing Method to Autmatic. This should sync whenever a new Party is created.
    We are facing significant performance issues, and are also exploring this.

  • Contacts Sync with Outlook - Missing Indexes

    I wonder if anybody can help as I've run out of ideas. In the last week or so, my Blackberry (Curve 9300) is not syncing properly with my Outlook (2007) contacts. All records go across if I look in the database, and yet an undetermined number are not indexed (I don't see them in the BB contact address book when I search). I've deleted the address book and reloaded it on the Blackberry, but it doesn't make a difference. The odd thing is that it's not always the same records.
    I've made no changes to my system or my BB.
    Has anybody any ideas?
    regards
    Guy

    At this time I do not know of a way to sync "sub folders" of contacts in Outlook. Even the 3rd party programs or MobileMe does not allow for sub-folders. There are programs that allow you to create groups, but only sync from the main contact folder.

  • Wait Events "log file parallel write" / "log file sync" during CREATE INDEX

    Hello guys,
    at my current project i am performing some performance tests for oracle data guard. The question is "How does a LGWR SYNC transfer influences the system performance?"
    To get some performance values, that i can compare i just built up a normal oracle database in the first step.
    Now i am performing different tests like creating "large" indexes, massive parallel inserts/commits, etc. to get the bench mark.
    My database is an oracle 10.2.0.4 with multiplexed redo log files on AIX.
    I am creating an index on a "normal" table .. i execute "dbms_workload_repository.create_snapshot()" before and after the CREATE INDEX to get an equivalent timeframe for the AWR report.
    After the index is built up (round about 9 GB) i perform an awrrpt.sql to get the AWR report.
    And now take a look at these values from the AWR
                                                                       Avg
                                                 %Time  Total Wait    wait     Waits
    Event                                 Waits  -outs    Time (s)    (ms)      /txn
    log file parallel write              10,019     .0         132      13      33.5
    log file sync                           293     .7           4      15       1.0
    ......How can this be possible?
    Regarding to the documentation
    -> log file sync: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14237/waitevents003.htm#sthref3120
    Wait Time: The wait time includes the writing of the log buffer and the post.-> log file parallel write: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14237/waitevents003.htm#sthref3104
    Wait Time: Time it takes for the I/Os to complete. Even though redo records are written in parallel, the parallel write is not complete until the last I/O is on disk.This was also my understanding .. the "log file sync" wait time should be higher than the "log file parallel write" wait time, because of it includes the I/O and the response time to the user session.
    I could accept it, if the values are close to each other (maybe round about 1 second in total) .. but the different between 132 seconds and 4 seconds is too noticeable.
    Is the behavior of the log file sync/write different when performing a DDL like CREATE INDEX (maybe async .. like you can influence it with the initialization parameter COMMIT_WRITE??)?
    Do you have any idea how these values come about?
    Any thoughts/ideas are welcome.
    Thanks and Regards

    Surachart Opun (HunterX) wrote:
    Thank you for Nice Idea.
    In this case, How can we reduce "log file parallel write" and "log file sync" waited time?
    CREATE INDEX with NOLOGGINGA NOLOGGING can help, can't it?Yes - if you create index nologging then you wouldn't be generating that 10GB of redo log, so the waits would disappear.
    Two points on nologging, though:
    <ul>
    it's "only" an index, so you could always rebuild it in the event of media corruption, but if you had lots of indexes created nologging this might cause an unreasonable delay before the system was usable again - so you should decide on a fallback option, such as taking a new backup of the tablespace as soon as all the nologging operatons had completed.
    If the database, or that tablespace, is in +"force logging"+ mode, the nologging will not work.
    </ul>
    Don't get too alarmed by the waits, though. My guess is that the +"log file sync"+ waits are mostly from other sessions, and since there aren't many of them the other sessions are probably not seeing a performance issue. The +"log file parallel write"+ waits are caused by your create index, but they are happeninng to lgwr in the background which is running concurrently with your session - so your session is not (directly) affected by them, so may not be seeing a performance issue.
    The other sessions are seeing relatively high sync times because their log file syncs have to wait for one of the large writes that you have triggered to complete, and then the logwriter includes their (little) writes with your next (large) write.
    There may be a performance impact, though, from the pure volume of I/O. Apart from the I/O to write the index you have LGWR writting (N copies) of the redo for the index and ARCH is reading and writing the completed log files caused by the index build. So the 9GB of index could easily be responsible for vastly more I/O than the initial 9GB.

  • Items not showing up in CONTEXT SYNC ON COMMIT  index

    My problem is, sometimes users can't find an item when searching (index is CONTEXT SYNC ON COMMIT), however, when I change the index column, the item shows up. I can even tell the index column was changed before at one point because i put a string representing the date and time in there.
    Here's how I have it set up (very similar to this anyway):
    begin
    ctx_ddl.create_preference('location_appt_lexer', 'BASIC_LEXER');
    ctx_ddl.set_attribute ( 'location_appt_lexer', 'printjoins', '@._');
    end;
    BEGIN
    ctx_ddl.create_preference('location_appt_store', 'user_datastore');
    ctx_ddl.set_attribute('location_appt_store', 'procedure', 'search_pkg.location_appt_filter');
    ctx_ddl.set_attribute('location_appt_store', 'output_type', 'CLOB');
    END;
    CREATE INDEX "LOCATION_APPT_INDEX" ON "LOCATION" ("APPT_INDEX_COL")
       INDEXTYPE IS "CTXSYS"."CONTEXT"
         PARAMETERS ('DATASTORE location_appt_store LEXER location_appt_lexer SYNC (ON COMMIT)');And, of course there is a procedure location_appt_filter defined in a package search_pkg that I won't list here.
    As far as I know indexing is supposed to be automatic on commit. I don't understand why any row would not get indexed. Any ideas?
    Thanks.

    The problem just fixed itself. I got irritated and quit messing with it. When I came back an hour later, it was fixed.

  • Automatically sync index in batch mode (w/o ctxsrv)

    Didn't find a way to rebuild the index in batch mode every 3 Minutes.
    Tried this, which generated error in Oracle:
    begin
    execute immediate 'alter index vocdev.ua_text_ctx_idx rebuild online parameters(''sync'');';
    end;
    as a stored procedure, which should be called by the ora_snp0_ORCL process.
    May be this kind of dynamic SQL is not allowed. But how can I achieve a solution?
    Why isn't there a stored procedure like
    CTX_DDL.REFRESH_INDEX('myschema.myindex')
    PS: I'm using 8.1.5 on Solaris.

    Now I found an answer.
    -- NOTE: bug # 941367 prevents this from working at 8.1.5.
    -- It is fixed in 8.1.6.
    create or replace procedure sync
    is
    begin
    execute immediate
    'alter index dml_text rebuild online' &#0124; &#0124;
    ' parameters ( ''sync'' )' ;
    execute immediate
    'alter index dml_text rebuild online' &#0124; &#0124;

    end sync;
    Looks like we have to upgrade to 8.1.6.
