Purple bar showing on composite video on last frame

Hello, I've been struggling to know why this bar shows in the end of my video on its last frame. Although on export it doesn't show.

All right. It has been about 10 hours with no response. Maybe we ought to tell muhammad that the stupid purple bar at the end of the sequence is a completely unnecessary indication that he is at the end of the sequence. As if he didn't know that he was at the end of the sequence already. A nice black frame generally works pretty well to tell someone that they ran out of media.
Adobe is trying to protect you from yourself. Just ignore it. Or get used to it. Or whatever. It is stupid and there is no way to turn it off. If it annoys you, please submit a feature request to have it be optional. I have.

What's that black bar to the right of the last frame of clips?

That always shows up in Pr, but never in the final video. Is this supposed to resemble some kind of classic physical artifact of some kind?

Last frame appears brighter than last frame

I have problems with a video that stops at the last frame
and this is brighter than the last frame of the video
has made several tests, the jpg I'm using, as the last picture I have exported from photoshop, is exact.
I tried to change the brightness but not exact and change is very, very bright.

Video ends and last frame remains showing

I'm playing a very short video within a page. Once the video ends, the displayed image (the one that remains on screen) is the first frame of the video - is there a way to make the last frame of the video remain on the screen?

For whatever reason I can't get this to work now. I've used the exact same settings as in your blog post. The video plays for the duration of the slideshow interval setting and then the third object state (a jpeg) appears.

After updating ipad 2 to IOS 5.1 composite video cable says "this accessory is not supported by iPad"

Now that I have updated my iPad 2 and iPhone 4s to 5.1, when I connect my composite video cable to watch netflix or other video on my TV I get the message that the accessory is not supported. The audio goes through fine, but the video only plays on the device. Anyone else run into this? Ideas on how to fix it?

I have the same problem. Even worst, I use my iPod touch at the gym cause our bikes and threadmills have iPod connection (and screen of course) so I used watch TV shows from my iPad. Last week, thought the treadmill connector on the machine was broken... from what I see, it's the TV out on the iPad that is not working anymore.
Once home, I used my composite cable, well just like you got a message : "not supported" tried on iPad and Ipod Touch.

What adapter needed to connect to S-video or composite video on TV

My MacBook Pro has a mini-display port and I can't seem to find an adapter that will allow output to S-video and composite video. I have the adapter that worked with the Powerbook G4 12".

S-Video is limited to 720 x 480. Unless you have a standard TV (not HD-TV), or older projector, S-Video is not ideal anymore. Plus you end up with an almost unusable external display unless all you are showing is video and stills and slides.
A mini-DisplayPort is adaptable to VGA with this adapter:

However, the audio will not come out of DisplayPort. For that you need a separate audio cable such as this one:
from StarTech if you have a compatible Toslink speaker system.
Otherwise, you can use a standard RCA minijack cable to hook up to your stereo speaker system.
Note the only store links I shop from are Apple from above. I just found these cables on Google, and have no idea how good any of the other stores are.

Mac OSX will not boot, when I log in, it shuts down after grey screen and grey loading bar show up: PLEASE HELP (:

So here is a lowdown on my problem.
I start my mac OSX, I hold down the alt/option key and load my MAC osx drive (which is the only drive available; however, when i do not hold down the alt/option key it will go to a black screen that says "no bootable device, press a key when device inserted"). Continuing, it then goes to my login screen where I have my username, and I can enter my password like usual. I enter my password, hit the enter button (like I always do), and this is where my problem begins.
After I enter my login and hit enter, the screen goes grey, with a little apple symbol in the middle and a different shade of grey loading bar underneath. This grey loading bar shows up for about 10 seconds, fills up about 10-20 percent, and then shuts my computer down.
No matter what I do, this process repeats over and over, and heres where the problem gets worse, and this part is VERY IMPORTANT and is the most depressing, stressful part of the process.
NONE of the startup/boot commands work except holding the alt/option key. I can't hold: Command plus r; command pr to reset PRAM; shift to enter safe mode.
I really dont know what to do here :/. I have files that I want on the hard drive, that are pretty important but not critical. I gave up on wanting the files back but now I want to simply WIPE my computer and re-install a clean version of OSX onto the computer, but I CANNOT GET TO THE REINSTALLER :(.
More information that may be helpful:
          I do have a partition on the HDD that I was going to use for Bootcamp, but it does not have anything installed on it (thus causing the "no bootable device" screen to load, and probably causing the boot commands not to work).
          My version of Mac OSX is 10.8.4. "MBP 15.4/2.8/16GB/768 flash"
          The last time I restarted my computer, my mac OSX RAM was down to 1.75 GB, with nothing open. Usually when nothing is open the free RAM is around 10-13 GB (I know this because I have the activity monitor always open, and I use my computer a lot).
          Again, boot commands will not work, except for holding the alt/option key.
So if anyone can help me fix my problem(s), which are:
1: using boot commands; 2: reinstalling mac OSX; or 3: getting my files,
I would love you forever. I would really prefer 1 or 2. Thanks for reading this.

Oh and one more thing, I do not have a disc drive in the mac osx. The version I have comes without one.

Composite video out. Why can't I sync some movies? What's the best res?

I'm guessing because I ripped some movies in a higher definition for use with the iPad and iPhone 4 I cannot add those movies to my iPod Classic 80GB.
Is there a good compromise in quality so I don't have to perform multiple rips? Better yet, is there a way I can add HiDef video to the iPod and play via the Apple Composite Video connector?
Given the relatively small storage space on the iPad and iPhone when compared to a iPod Classic it makes sense that the iPod would be a better storage and transport method for larger video files.

FIXED IT. For those of you who may be having the same problem, this is what I eventually had to do.
1. erase my entire ipod
2. put it all back on there
That seems simple but it also seems pointless. I do not know why I had to do this because I had already downlodaded the newest version of itunes, put everything on the cloud, and then downloaded everything back off of the cloud.
But for some reason I had to go in and
1. put things from cloud back into library
2. erase ipod (which had already had cloud info put back on it)
3. transfer all library data straight from library to ipod (without use of cloud this time)
For some reason this made my video show up on my ipod and not just my itunes.

Netflix not working with composite video to tv anymore.

Netflix requires AirPlay mirroring to be turned off when connecting to TV via composite video. However the AirPlay menu does not show up.

TV isn't detected properly with Mini-DVI and composite video

Hi,
Just got a mini-dvi adaptor from Apple, and having trouble getting it working on a CRT TV (have had other windows laptops running s-video out ok on there before via scart and composite)....
I plug it all in, turn on the TV, turn on the macbook, choose 'Detect Displays', and get the secondary display detected as 'Display' rather than TV --> don't get any tv options on the display prefs for that display...
any ideas?
S-Video just gets a blank screen, at least composite video shows a flickering black and white screen (with 5-6 repeated screens squished up).
dodgy mini-dvi cable?? dodgy macbook?? dodgy TV?

Yup - using the same input channel as the playstation/digital tv usually comes in (we only have one 'video in' channel on the tv). Have tried through the scart port (that's how the playstation usually goes in), and the composite port too.
TV is PAL format here i think --- however everywhere I've read, everyone else gets a 'TV' display preference option when it detects it's a TV, and can set the format to PAL/NTSC there. I don't get this as it just thinks it's a display rather than a TV.
Darn, back to the Oxford Circus Apple store for me to see if it's the mini-dvi cable, the macbook or our tv... fighting with all the tourists

When i open a youtube video in firefox it immediately shows that whole video is streamed when it is yet to stream fully

I am using Firefox 3.6.13. When i open a youtube video in firefox it immediately shows that whole video is streamed (the progress bar shows red instead of grey). But the whole video is yet to be streamed. The information of how much is streamed becomes unavailable.
Listing 2 of the problems encountered because of this
1. Unable to estimate how much time I have to wait before the video is fully streamed
2. Cannot go forward or backward in the video in the streamed part.
(This problem does not occur in IE. I tried the link given below)

Alternative to Apple TV for composite video

Like 80% of Americans, I don't have a high-definition TV. My TV only supports composite video input (a yellow RCA plug) or analog coaxial input.
I had hoped to be able to use an Apple TV to watch video purchased from the iTS on my TV. It appears that this is not going to be supported, and that the necessary adapters would be far too expensive. So I'm looking for alternatives. Any suggestions?
A solution would need to support playback of FairPlay-protected media. I'd also prefer something relatively inexpensive -- $400 or less. And convenience is important -- I could just buy an iPod and move it between my desktop and my TV, but that's more manual work that I'd prefer, and doesn't have an on-screen interface (as far as I know).
I appreciate any suggestions. My impression from comments I've seen elsewhere is that I'm not the only one in this situation.

Let's not forget that if you use a good ole mini-to-vga adapter (Apple brand or other), you could connect an iPod, by way of the head phone jack, to composite RCA plugs on the TV. The Apple cord is 6-ft long, but longer cords (or extensions) should be available. The cost would be $20. I can tell you that shows from iTunes can look and sound great when played from an iPod to a TV when using such a cord. My TV is a 32" LCD (an inexpensive Protron model). The resolution for composite connection is standard 480 interlaced but it looks surprisingly good. I'd say nearly as good as a decent DVD player. With a video iPod, you would have portability, and the possibility of future devices (e.g., docks) that will come closer to providing functions that you really want.

EPG/ Overlay on Composite video out

I know there was an issue originally with the DTR-T1000 youview box firmware where the EPG/overlay would not be visible on the the composite video (YELLOW) output if an HDMI cable was connected at the sametime, but I thought that had been fixed with the latest firmware.
I'm fairly certain I confirmed that the issue had been fixed myself, however I am finding now that the issue is either back or still there, either way I cannot get the EPG to show on the composite video output if the HDMI cable is connected. If I disconnect the HDMI it works fine.
Any ideas?

It works fine but the HDMI tv must be turned off or on standby for the second modulated tv to view the menu. If the hdmi tv is on then you can change channels using IR senders on the second tv but can't see the menu. Hope this helps.

Composite video to HP Media center- Is my HP crippled so I cannot hook up a simple camera?

I have a CCTV video surveilance camera that I have connected to the back of my HP m7000 via 3 RCA (composite) cables and I cannot get it configured in MediaCenter.
If I choose "Satellite" on the Select Your TV Signal page, MediaCenter detects it under Composite Video 1 and shows a little preview, but THAT'S IT. The next page tells me "IR Hardware Not Detected". Like I care about IR, I just want to connect my camera. I tried manual setup, but it still wants to play detection games! Is my HP crippled so I cannot hook up a simple camera?

yeah.. it would work, but like it was mentioned above... there is a 2 to 3 second lag... which means if you were playing a first person game... imagine playing on line and having a 2 to 3 second lag when trying to shoot someone...you would be dead for 2 seconds before you knew you were...
that's how bad it will be.
