Purpose  of "Reserved" field in Stock Overview(MMBE )

Hello SAP Gurus,
IF You run MMBE transaction , there is one Field called "RESERVED",
Can anyone tell me the use of this Field??
Regards
MAYANK

Hi Mayank,
Reserved stock
Sum of all quantities of a material that are reserved for withdrawal. Reserved stock is not available from the point of view of MRP, but for Inventory Management it still counts as unrestricted-use stock.
So you dont have to move it from Unrestricted to Reserve. You can use it. As i said it shown u statistically how many quantities are there in reserve.
And yes you can SALE Reserve stock also.
You can use Link http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_03/helpdata/EN/a5/63312643a211d189410000e829fbbd/frameset.htm For further reference.
Reward Point if helpful.
Thanks,
Raja

    Hi,
Even if you want your stock level to be reduced by the reserved quantity you cannot realize it in standard system.
As your physical stock remains the same in spite of huge amount of reservation the same happens in SAP - reservation is a requirement and can't modify your stock level neither in reality nor in SAP.
If you are hungry just because of this the food won't disappear from the fridge. Unless you eat it the amount of it remains the same.
Please use MD04 and you will see the available quantity that is close to your desire.

  • What is imp of Batch indicator in Stock Overview MMBE

What is imp of Batch indicator in Stock Overview MMBE
    Madan

    Madan,
I assume we are talking about the "Batch" check box in the "Select Display levels" section.
if this check box is activated, system displays the stock details at the Batch level also. Basically the aggregation of stock happens like this..
    Batch Stock
Storage Location Stock (Cumulation of Batch Stock in that Storage Location)
Plant Stock (Cumulation of all Storage Location stock in that plant)
Hope this helps....Reward your points if so,

  • Sales order stock not showing in stock overview(MMBE)

    Hi,
I have a MTO scenario where against the sales order production order has been created.
Production order has been delivered & the material document showing 101E movement type.
After that the material has been transfered to another storage location with in the same plant with movement type 311E.
We can see the sales order no. on each material document.
But in stock overview no sales order stock is there against the particular sales order and because of this user is not able to create delivery for the same sales order.
    Please guide in this matter.
    Regards,
    Susrikant

    Hi,
In MMBE, check for the log on the movement type. You can find it in MMBE once the report is displayed. Select the storage location and then check for the Movement of goods from Menu > Environment > Movement types. It will have all the details of quantity moved in and qty moved out. You can easily identify thro' which movement type this material and qty is moved.
    Also check the tcode MB52.
    Hope this helps.

  • Stock Overview (MMBE) Report in BW

    Dear All,
We got a scenario  where :
    > The Key figure values like " Unrestricted Qty"," Quality Inspection ","Blocked Stock" shows different values in R3 when compared with BW.
------> When we boiled down, came to know that the extractor (2lis_03_bf) is not picking all Batches ,as compared with R3.Hence the Keyfigure values are less and different from R3.
It would be helpful if someone could take time to help us out on how this issue can be solved.Have checked the stock against MB5B and other reports aswell and the stock qt's are fine.but just that it shows different against MMBE in R3.
    Manythanks
    Arun

    Hi Arun,
Weather u are drilling the report to the storage location wise.
if yes the data will never match as in Inventory side for some movment type accounting documents will not generate.
For Inventory level reporting i suggest u check the UPdate rule as per ur Indusry as they only are responsible for Data in BI.
    Assign Points if it helps.

  • Restricting stock overview (MMBE) based on material or material type?

    Hi,
Can we restrict any user from viewing material stock (MMBE) for particular materials or material group or material types.
    Thanks
    Nilesh

    HI,
I cannot think of a way this is possible. You can only make these restrictions for standard LIS reporting info structures where the authorisation objects exist.
For example, auth object M_IS_MTART exists for material type covering LIS Standard Analysis: Info Structure / Material Type, similar for material group.
The only other place for material type restrictions in is the material master from object M_MATE_MAR.
However, check with your basis guys maybe they can think of something.
    Thanks.

  • Remove the qty form reservation column in stock overview

    Hi,
we have created production order for a finish material, for that semi finish material is reserved.
but we don't want to proceed the production order further.
i need to remove the qty from the reservation column of semifinish.
is it possible to do that???
    thanks/regards
    vish

    Dear Vishwanath
When we create a production order, reservations also get created for  its components automatically. These reservations cannot be deleted. To remove these reservations you need to apply the TECO status to that prodeuction orders.
If you dont want to proceed with the production order then make the TECO status active, the reservations will get deleted.

  • Table for Reservation field in MMBE.....

    Hi Guru,
Please tell me the name of table in which reservation field of  tcode MMBE is stored.
               Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Vinayak.

if you are an ABAPer who has to develope a new report, then you should know how to call a function module.
The quantity for reservation  that you see in MMBE is not stored as a plain number  in just one table record like it is for unrestricted use stock or quality stock.
Hence you either use the function module to get this quantity, or you have to develope an own logic to read the RESB records and total the quantity in your ABAP directly.

  • Question about MMBE (stock overview) -- modifying the display layout (country of origin)

    Dear everyone
I'm trying to change the layout of MMBE, so that it would display "country of origin" information.
Right now, this report displays the stock data for each batch. But, what I would like to display is the "country of origin" which is
specified for those batches (in the batch master data).
Would you possibly tell me how I can change MMBE for this purpose?
    Kind regards,
    Takashi

    Hi,
Do refer the below OSS Note , which explains how you can manage the Layouts for MMBE through configuration in Point 4)..

  • After picking shd be reflected in stock overview...

    Hi all,
I have problem in stock overview while picking in delivery.. which i mentioned by below example
E.g: stock overview shows that ONLY 50 qty in unrestricted stock so picking is done by adding pick qty in change delivery & it shows in document flow but PGI is not done so 50 qty stock shows in  stock overview and truck is loaded. then again logistic person watching same stock in stock overview & another truck  is loaded by mistake and PGI also not possible bc we have only 50 qty in stock so what we can do any changes or any configration  that after picking  it is reserve in any colum or not reflect that stock in stock overviw so that logistic person can do mistake..
please replay my question as soon as possible....
    regards
    Manish

    Hi
    Kindly check the below
1.Check the  availability check on at the delivery item category level  to avoid delivery for the  extra quantity
    2. Check the  field  "Check quantity 0" should be maintained as 'B" for the relevant item category
The above two steps can be done in the  below path
      Logistics Execution
         Shipping
              Deliveries
                     Define Item Categories for Deliveries
3.The stock assigned to delivery will shown in  the schedule for delivery in the t code MMBE

There's quite a lot you can do in Logistics Info Systems to report on stocks across multiple materials.
Other than that, it depends on what you really want to show - stock that's physically present (e.g. including vendor-owned consignment), stock that you own (e.g. including customer consignment or toll manufacturers' stocks); do you want to show quantities (doesn't usually make much sense for more than one material, of course, due to varying units of measure) or values, etc.
Some of these data are quite expensive to read from a runtime perspective, in particular the "special" stocks (e.g. consignment).
You also have to consider that stock you own but that's not physically present on site (e.g. customer consignment), or GR blocked stock, usually is not assigned to a storage location.
If you give me some more info about what you're actually trying to achieve, I may be able to help you better.

  • Table for stock overview

    hi
Can anybody suggest in which table i can get the stock overview details.....i.e. U/R stock, Blocked stock, QI stock etc.
    Thanks
    QQQ

    Hi,
    go to MMBE or MC.9,
MMBE for a single material ,
    MC.9 for range of materials
    plant level table is MARC,
    storage location level is MARD,
