Push from MobileMe stopped working

On Saturday, my push email started working only sporatically. Sunday it worked once, and today it isn't working at all.
I haven't changed any settings.
I haven't noticed any questions posted recently about this - am I the only one with this problem?

Push Though Exchance Stopped working

I used the link below to set up gmail through exchange. It worked like a charm and finally felt ok leaving a blackberry. A few hours ago after about 14 hours it just stopped working. I am getting no emmails on the devise even if I refresh the account. I turn off the account and turn on the old gmail fetch account and it gets the emails fine. I go back to the Exchange account and nothing.
Any ideas.

Iphone 4 Software Version 4.0. Gmails works with imap but has stopped working through exchange.

Worked fine for 24 hours and just stopped working about 6 hours ago.
Steps taken.
1. Deleted account
2. Re-added account
3. Re-booted phone
Each time when re-adding account all emails download. After this no new emails come in.
4. Used a friends working iphone with os ver 3 and deleted her working exchange gmail account. Added mine and same issue.
5. Deleted my account and added a friends gmail account to my phone via exchange and everything works properly.
6. Deleted the other persons working exchange account and re-added mine. Again downloads initial emails and when new ones come in no new emails come in.
7. Contacted apple support: support details below:
customer trying to use google
active sync with device and setting it up as exchange putting in blank
domain and correct username and password-customer is also using the
correct m.google.com
-customer says gmail works if setup as imap but not as exchange messages
download but no new messages come to device
-customer said it worked until about 6 hrs ago
-had customer try to add his account to another iphone this is a 3gs
with 3.1.3
-messages do download from server,
sent test mail to device and customer didn't receive it
-referred to gmail this is a problem with
the email on the server not device or OS specific

Video from "camera" stopped working all of a sudden

Using my ADVC-100, i'm importing old videos using a Toshiba VCR. I've successfully imported 20-some videos, and even used the nice new feature to upload a bunch of them to my YouTube account without a single issue.
Then today....suddenly, I cannot get iMovie 08 to import the video. I've tried everything. What it does now is, when I hit "Import", watch the video until I'm ready to stop it, hit "Stop", it just goes back to "Stop" or "Import". It does not go the the "Generating thumbnails"...it simply stops and does nothing.
I tried then switching to importing from the iSight, and it worked fine.
What baffles me is that I did absolutely nothing since the last several video tapes that I imported.
Does anyone have any idea what possibly could be going on? I've rebooted the program several times to no avail.

One thing I noticed is that when I click "Import" it says in the upper left hand corner "Ready to Import" even though the counter is counting and it says "REC" and the red light is on.
There is one thing that I did do since the last import. Since iMovie 08 has no "slow motion" effects, I downloaded iMovie HD and used that to build a project.
I quit out of HD before re-launching 08.
Now I did try just now to import the video using HD, but that did not work at all.
I'm still confused as to why all week I've been importing video after video, and now it arbitrarily stops working.
Any and all help appreciated...

Automounting & Power off from XFCE stopped working

Hello, after the latest xorg update my automounting as well as my shutdown/reboot options from XFCE's logout dialog stopped working. I can't also mount other partitions as non-root user. This is one of the most common problems that appear once in a while and I usually tweak my .xinitrc and/or pam.d files to get functionality back, but this time I have no luck. My display manager is plain XDM. I should mention that if I startx from a tty everything is working properly.

The problem seems to reappear. The changelogs for xfce4-session 4.8.2-2 say: "Remove .pkla files; shutdown/suspend/etc should continue to work for people with correct ConsoleKit sessions."
So I need a consolekit session to be able to shutdown. However if I start xfce with no displaymanager using 'exec ck-launch-session startxfce4' in my .xinitrc. and check my sessions with 'ck-list-sessions' I get:

That would explain why I can't shutdown, but it makes me wonder how do I get get a valid session. The wiki on consolekit seems to imply that I need a displaymanager, but I rather would not use one. Does anyone know how to fix this?

My iPod touch (5th gen) was updated today to iOS 7.1 and now my charger isn't working. I bought my charger on eBay after the one I received from Apple stopped working. Help?

I've been using a charger I bought off of eBay for cheap because the one I received with my iPod had stopped working, so instead of paying for a new Apple cord, I went with the cheaper option. It has been working fine up until today. I updated my iPod today to iOS 7.1 and now it won't recognize the cord at all. I'm wondering if anyone had any answers to why this is happening? Or if you have any suggestions as to how I could charge my iPod until I purchase a new cord. Is it smarter to go with an Apple cord, or can I stick with other manufactorers?

The iOS update made the iPod less tolerent of marginal/fake Lightning cables. All you can do is get a certified Lightning cable. I would get a genuine Apple cable.

Bridge 'get photos from camera' stopped working and Bridge won't recognize my DNG files anymore

So, I've got Bridge set up to get pictures from mem.card whenever I insert one in my laptop (win. 8.1). A week ago I installed Sony's PlayMemories. Without asking me it hijacked Bridge's task of getting pictures from my cards. What's worse, I tried to fire the 'get photos from camera' function manually from Bridge. Bridge starts working, but nothing happens. I uninstalled PlayMemories and reset Bridge, also told my laptop to run Bridge whenever I insert a card. Still nothing happens and I still can't get the 'get photos' function to run manually from Bridge. Anyway, I can still rund the DNG converter to get my pictures, but today Bridge won't recognize my DNG files - worked fine yesterday. I downloaded CS6 from this link https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/cs6-product-downloads.html and tried to run the installer, but it doesn't seem to do anything. Maybe I need to do a full uninstall off CS6 for it to do anything..? Anyway, if any of you guys could help me with my Bridge/CS6 issues I'd be grateful. I've got 3 sets of concert photos and a snowboard comp. shoot I need to finish this week

Import from camera stopped working.

It was working fine with a Sony cx700, now it shows up for a few seconds at the top of the import box, but then quickly disappears- not showing any clips and preventing me from importing. Any ideas?

Hi, here is a follow up to the above. (I was able to import from my camera and then fcp xstopped recognizing the camera -- I ended up copying all the camera's files to my hard drive and then reformatted the camera drive. It worked and now fcp x recognized the camera and I can import from the camera. As for the AVCHD files that I copied from the camera to the hard disk, I am using a converter program to get them to avc mpeg-4 files and then I can import them into fcp x.
There might have been an easier way but I still do not know why fcp x stopped recognizing the camera. (I have a sony hd cx700 and a macbook pro)

Time Machine backup to my NAS drive (MyBookLive from WD) stopped working after Lion Upgrade

After my upgrade to Lion OS, I noticed that Time Machine backup failed to connect to my MyBookLive WD NAS drive. It was perfectly working while the machine was still on Snow Leopard. This is the error I am getting.
"The network backup disk does not support the required AFP features.
Open Time Machine preferences to select a different backup disk."
Any help with workaround would be greatly aprreciated. Thx for your help and support.

OK I ran into issues. I'm doing the play by play on Q18 for copying a locally connected backup to a network connected backup - so I start the backup with the backup disk connected to the TC and then stop it when the XXX of YYY copied shows up. I disconnect and connect the disk directly. The problem is I don't seem to have permission to mount the sparsebundle:
So I get info and click the lock and enter my admin password and change the everyone from no access to read and write. Then I try to open the sparsebundle and I get:
So I did that twice with the same effect. Then I noticed I can mount the sparsebundle if I leave it connected to the time capsule. So its mounted - good. Then I go into disk utility and try to erase the mounted "time machine backups" drive and it didn't like that much - I wish I took a screenshot but I didn't. It basically said I can't do that.
So now I don't know what to do. I'm currently starting a backup set fresh and this time letting it run to completion however I excluded my entire user account so the backup size is only 25 GB. When it finishes then maybe I can move the disk local and go in and see if I can mount the partition and erase the contents and copy over my backup file into the sparsebundle.
So does anyone know why I can't access that sparsebundle the way Pondini says I should be able to? Any suggestions? If my latest attempt doesn't work then I'll just do a full backup and say to heck with my history although that would be unfortunate.

Ical not pushing from mobileme to ipod touch

I've recently upgraded my ipod touch and switched from .mac to mobileme. My calendars are syncing OK between my mac and the "cloud" but none of the calendar data is raining down into my ipod touch. I've gone into the touch's system prefs, chosen my .mac account and turned on calendar syncing (the spoke ball spins for a few seconds to say its turning on calendar) but no calendars show up. I've tried turning it off and on again but still nothing. Do I have to go back to using itunes sync with wired connection to get my calendar to show on my ipod?

probably music sync is not open in itunes,go in itunes,select ipod,select music(you have there summary,music, video,etc.) and turn on music sync then go in summary and press sync and it must work

Photo's from iPhoto stopped working in iMovie

I have a one year old iMac 27" machine running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5. Also using iMovie 11
I have been producing 8 minute long football highlight video's for the past year. About 30 of them so far. During the season (now) it's one a week. I've got three different video cameras and two photographers going on this with me. So everything is fine until this year, when dragging photo's into my iMovie project, some random photo's won't work. When the curser goes over the photo all I get is black or blank. Or sometimes a distorted still of a video or photo of a nearby clip, although as i move the cursor the photo eventually becomes black.
I've tried re-booting, unplugging and that does not work. I have edited the photo in iMovie again and that worked once. But something seems to be holding up iMovie from reading the photo. One time I re-imported all the photo's and then I could place them in iMovie. I thought then that it had something to do with the import into iPhoto. But then it happend on a photo I've had for over a year and use in each weeks video and it showed up blank.
I've read a lot of the discussions on this page and maybe it has something to do with the audio issues people are having? one thing I did differently this year is that I have been using a trailer intro. The pyramid one. Along with the sound. I use it at the beginning of each weeks video. Do you think that is effecting anything? I'm going to try building the video without the pyramid this week and see what happens.
This is a frustrating issue as I cannot get the photo's I need in the project at times. Just takes so much longer to get this done... Looking for solution.
Oh yeah, all my video is on an external drive. iPhoto is on internal drive with over 6,000 photos. wonder if my internal drive is developing an issue?
Looking for answers. Would appreciate any help at all!

I had this issue with a series of photos originally imported and rotated under iPhoto 4. But somewhere along the way, the originals must have gotten deleted, as the "Revert to Original" command was greyed out and not a viable solution for me. However, I found that AppleTV would display the photo correctly if I just made any type of edit to the photo - say red-eye, or crop, or adjust exposure/saturation, or anything. Once saved as edited in iPhoto 8, AppleTV had no problem.

Starting apps from launchpad stops working

This issue is intermittent. All of a sudden, when I try to start an app from Launchpad nothing happens. But I am able to start apps via the Dock.
This happens on my Macbook Air but not on my Mac mini, although both have Yosemite. I have tried doing a clean install but the issue continues. Restarting fixes the issue. I am not aware of what triggers this to start. It appears to be random. Everything is working fine and then all of a sudden I can no longer start apps from Launchpad.
Through searching I can't seem to find any evidence of this occurring to anyone else.

So I just now had an occurrence of the app-starting in Launchpad issue. I tried the terminal commands. I entered both commands. After the second one "killall Dock", screen went black except for the menu bar and the terminal window. I didn't see anything else happening so then I selected Restart from the apple menu.
So effectively, I ended up doing a restart as I have done before which resets the problem anyway. Whether or not the issue has been resolved permanently by issuing these commands is another question and will take time to get any certainty about.
But the person who found these commands was having a different type of problem with the Launchpad in Yosemite, so I'm not sure about this. I am tempted to try a clean reinstall of Yosemite, but this time doing absolutely no restoring of any user files with Time Machine/Migration Assistant in case that carries over some bad setups. I will only make manually copied backups of any user files that I want to carry over.

AirPlay from iPad stopped working after upgrade to 4.3

We use our Apple TV to view videos from our iPads and iPhones in our daughters room. Up until today, We had no problems.
So, My AppleTV just asked me to upgrade to a newer version....fine. Now, I see the device listed in the AirPlay menu from our devices, but...when i choose it, the Apple TV just sits at the crotating "please wait" icon until it eventually times out....I double checked the network connectivity and the AppleTV passes the network test fine....and audio seems to work ok, but no video. (for what it's worth, the video is downloaded content from the iTunes store)
My software shows to be 4.3 (2557) on the Apple TV and my iPad2 is running 4.3.5 (8L1).
Is this a known issue?

Importing from camera stopped working after battery dying.

I was importing video from a Samsung Dualview digital camera yesterday and while importing, my Macbook died because my battery ***** (exactly 999 recharge cycles)
When i got it charged back up i tried to import again.
The camera wont even show up in iMovie now. it shows up in iPhoto and Finder but iPhoto wont import MP4 files.
I tried importing to iMovie using the finder option but the MP4 files are grayed out.
Anyone know any possible fixes?
maybe resetting iMovie preferences?
