Push Gmail with multiple forwarded accounts and display individual senders

I have setup my main Gmail account to receive mail from two other accounts. I reply and forward mail using the other accounts' SMTP servers so the messages do not show they came from my main Gmail account, but the forwarded email account.
I just setup my iPhone to push my Gmail, calendar, and contacts. All that is working great, except for one thing. I am looking for a way to reply/forward messages from the other accounts without my main Gmail account showing up as the sender. Basically, I am trying to get the messages to send the same way as if I had sent them from the Gmail internet interface.
Let me know if there is something I am missing, a direction to go in, or if you need more information.
Thanks,
Matt

No, there isn't. You can set them to check manually, but the Mail app will still check them when it's opened. If you turn them off in Settings, you cannot send using those accounts. You might be able to set them up with intentionally incorrect pop/imap server addresses, but correct smtp server addresses - not sure if that would work, but it's all I can think of to try. Else, you're stuck getting forwarded duplicate mail.

  • Mail hang with multiple pop accounts and invalid new mail counter

    All
More than a year ago, I migrated all email accounts from Outlook to Apple Mail using O2M application. I have 2 pop accounts and gmail account. Everything worked fine for a few month but then Mail started to hang during message receiving. It did so very often (4/5 times). When it does, nothing will revive it except a "force quit".
I tried to fetch email from each account individually, that worked well every time. After I was sure that it has to do with getting new mail simultaneously, I tried everything to fix it. I tried to reconstruct all the mail boxes, I tried using only 2 boxes with all combinations (1 pop 1 gmail, 2 pop, etc) but nothing worked.
I even tried to export all my mail boxes, then delete everything from Mail then reimport them with no luck.
In addition, a couple of months later, my "Inbox" new mail counter started to sometimes displaying the wrong new mail count. It displays 2-4 new messages while there is none. In order to be sure, I created a smart mail box to have only new mail and it had none. By simply switching to any other folder then returning back to Inbox solves the problem.
    Can any one help?

Make absolutely sure that your email addresses and configuration are correct. In nearly every case I've encountered, this is the problem.
If you've confirmed this, make sure you're configured properly on your webmail account, if you have one. Webmail is something like ATT, the source of your internet.
If you're still flummoxed, play hardball. Make sure you have all your current account info and passwords, and delete them in Mail/Preferences/Accounts. Then, reenter them one by one until they're perfect. This makes sure your settings are consistent and correct.

  • Sending Mail with multiple forward accounts

I currently have approximately 4 email accounts being forwarded to my gmail account. This is the account I use through Mail. Is it possible to send mail out that is, say from my school email account and still have it say that it is from my school email account instead of from the gmail account? I really need this feature. Please Help

if you send an email from your school account it will say that it's from your school account. if you want to send an email from gmail but have it say that it's from your school account, this is impossible. The best you can do is include a reply-to field so that if someone replies to it it will go to your school address.

  • How to Configure iCloud with multiple iCloud accounts and one apple id

I need some help from the icloud experts. I almost have my arms around this, but not completely.
What I want to end up with is the following:
One account that both my wife and I use for shared contacts, calendars, photostream and find my device.
Separate account for my email among several devices.
Separate account for my wife for her email among several devices.
Now what I curently have is an apple id (*.mac.com), which is the main account used for purchases, etc. It has my mail, backups, and 25GB of space as a result from MobileMe.
I created a separate icloud account for my wife, using her Apple ID, so that her mail stayed separate from mine. However, now we have separate photo streams, contacts, etc, which is getting confusing and cumbersome.
I would like to keep my apple id as the main account since it already has the 25GB of space. So tell me if the following make sense.
I setup the master account using my apple id (the one with 25GB of space) for both of us, and enable the contacts and calendar syncing for all of our devices.
I turn the mail and Safari bookmarks syncing on for my devices; but turn it off  for my wife's devices.
Then I use my wife's account on her devices to sync her mail, bookmarks, etc.
Would this work or is there another combination to use? Ideally a family oriented apple id would be good for the master account, but it wouldn't have the 25GB of space unless I purchased it. I'm trying to get around that if possible. I have tried to find something like this on the discussion boards but haven't had luck yet.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Set up your mac.com account again on devices.  Turn off Mail and other data syncing with this account on your wife's devices for data that you want to keep separate.  Then set up a second ("secondary") iCloud account on your wife's devices to sync Mail.
If you already set up a separate iCloud account on your wife's devices, on her devices go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in your your mac.com ID.  Turn on the data you want to share with this account across all devices; don't turn Mail on.  Then go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Add Account>iCloud and enter her separate iCloud credentials and turn Mail to On.
The only downside to this approach is that her email will be fetch, not push email.  Push email is only supported in the main ("primary") account, not a secondary account.
The limitations to be aware of with secondary accounts are that only the primary account can be used for Photo Stream, Bookmarks, Documents, iCloud Backup and Find My Device.  Also, push mail only works for the primary account; secondary account mail is fetch.

  • Issue with multiple iBook accounts and iTunes

My daughter and each have a user account on her iBook (mine is the Administrator). I am able to log onto iTunes and access the iTunes Store; however, if she is logged on, she cannot access the store. We went to an Apple Store today and could not get this figured out. Has anyone else had this issue, and if you did, how did you resolve it?
    Thanks.

  • Help with multiple itunes accounts and NOT sharing

I have 3 apple ID's.  One is for my work iphone, one is for my personal iphone, and I have one for my son's ipod Nano 6th generation.
I only have one desktop computer and it is a PC.
How can I keep my child's music for his ipod off my iphones?
I read the help tool about using different itunes libraries, but will that keep my devices separated  when I sync?

No, sorry. You cannot merge AppleIDs nor can you transfer purchases. No way around that at this time.

  • Migrate itunes from pc to mac with multiple user accounts

I've read the numerous articles on transferring one's itunes library from a windows machine to a mac and I *think* I've got the details sorted (have itunes copy everything and then organize my library, then copy whole folder to external drive). I only have one itunes account but it my full library and itunes account is used across different windows user accounts.
My mac is setup with multiple user accounts and I'd like to have a single library and single itunes account (same apps, etc.,). I'm not quite sure how to migrate the library from windows and then set it up on the mac such that all mac user accounts are sharing the same library and itunes account. Any guidance?
Forgot to mention, have 2 iphones and 1 ipad as well, all attached to the same apple id.

    See these support documents:
How to share iTunes between multiple accounts on a single computer:  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1203

  • Cannot ping ibook with multiple admin accounts

i am trying to set up remote control across a LAN, and have had success with two iMac G5's controlled from my dual G5. the problem is that i can't connect to an iBook with exactly the same settings and firewall config.
in trying to troubleshoot, i have noticed that i can't ping the iBook, and the only thing i can think of that is different is that the iBook has two user accounts, both of which have admin privileges. could this be causing the problem?
if not, what else could i try? any suggestions, please?

I doubt very much that the problem is caused by having two user accounts with administrator privileges. I have several systems with multiple admin accounts and have never had them cause a problem with the network.
Since you can't even ping the iBook, that would seem to make it a problem with the OS or the network, not with Apple Remote Desktop, so you might have more luck getting suggestions if you ask in the networking forum in the appropriate Mac OS X area.
    Good luck.

  • Logging in with multiple CC accounts, personal and enterprise

I need to be logged in to two CC accounts with two different email addresses at once, one is my preexisting personal and the other is a new enterprise.
One is used for Typekit only (personal) and one is used for programs (enterprise). Despite me using Typekit this is not a Typekit issue regardless of what Adobe support says, it is a login issue with the CC manager software although anybody with whom I chat (I cannot get someone on the phone) cannot see how that is the case and tries to pass off the issue to Typekit support.
I need access to both at all times. I was initially told by an Adobe chat rep that since the apps do not need a constant connection to the Internet to work (offline grace period) I could login to my enterprise, establish the license, log out, work as normal, and only need to log in to establish a license before the grace period ends. That I learned is not the case. Although it seems like a logical solution since if the program does not need to be connected to the Adobe servers it should not need to be logged in at all.
I thought for a brief period of time that I resolved the issue. Yesterday I was on on with both accounts for a while by logging in to my CC manager with my personal and into the application with my enterprise. but when I turned on my computer today I was logged into my CC manager with my enterprise account and all my fonts were missing when I logged back in correctly to my CC manager I was no longer logged into my programs.
This would be less of a hassle on a regular basis if it kicked me out of the Enterprise in the applications and I only had to log back into one account on a regular basis, not two.
I either need to connect my enterprise so that I can be logged in with my personal, install the CC manager twice, or make it so my applications do not need to be constantly connected online.
I also tried and failed changing my enterprise email to match my personal one, which needs to be the controlling account.
Please if anybody has found a solution to this problem let me know. Thanks in advance.

    Joshua,
I do see your point of wanting to have a separate account for your kits that you created.
You are not able to have two version of the Creative Cloud application manager installed on the computer.
When you sign out of your Educational subscription and sign in with your Typekit Adobe ID, it is a different profile as you know.
Switching back and forth could of caused corrupt data for the Creative Cloud app with signing out as it would remove fonts synced with Typekit.
Removing the OPM.DB file will help reset the CC app manager and you should see your fonts when you log in with your Educational CC subscription.
You can still log in to the Adobe Typekit Webpage with your Gmail Adobe ID,  while being logged in to the CC app manager with your Educational subscription. That is thru a web session
When you sign out of the CC app manager for the Educational paid subscription, you deactivate the software session. You would be prompted to sign in to use the software when launched. That is why you are not able to use the software while being signed with your Gmail Adobe ID. It is not associated with the subscription. Can you try adding the fonts that you need from the Gmail ID to the EDU subscription? You should be able to add the kits and have the same fonts for both accounts. I know you mention that you want to keep the accounts separate, as I was thinking that would be less frustrating for you.
    Thanks
    Scott

Had problem with my hotmail account and had to change my password. Ever since then, my default e-mail account set up to hotmail doesn't work...it sends from gmail. How can I correct that?

On your iPhone you need to change your password in 2 places:
    - Incoming Mail Server and
    - Outgoing Mail Server
To get to the password entry for the Outgoing Mail Server you have to tap on cell smtp.live.com and again on the second view.

  • TS4020 family with multiple apple accounts, can we create a secondary "family" account?

family with multiple apple accounts, can we create a secondary "family" account?

You can perfectly well create a new separwate iCloud account: for this you will need to create a new Apple ID for which you will need a non-Apple email address you haven't used elsewhere for iCloud.
That done, everyone can sign into it in System Preferences (or Settings)>Mail, Contacts & Calendars and enable the various data types in the checklist there. This is a 'secondary account': its email, Contacts and Calendars will appear alongside those in the existing 'primary account' but you don't get 'push' email (it's checked periodically) and it cannot use PhotoStream.
Note that if you've been using the same device to create other accounts, there is a limit of three iCloud accounts which can be created by any one device, so if that's been reached you would have to use another device: once done the first device can sign into it perfectly well.

  • How can I share only the same music with multiple iTunes accounts

    Hello
I hope someone can help. [I am using Windows Vista (Unfortunately J) and iTunes 10]
I am trying to share the same music library with multiple iTunes accounts. Basically, I want to know if there is a way to automatically upload to other libraries when importing new music into my library, vice versa. [Better information below]
Me, my sister and my dad all use iTunes (on different iTunes accounts), and before now we used to have are own music on our own windows user. Due to many duplicates and a loss of hard drive space I have brought an external hard drive and organised all the music.
It was all going well - I first populated all the music onto my iTunes, exported the library, and then imported it on both the other users. However! Because this is only a copy of the library, when I try to import a new CD, it will not show up on there’s until I “Add File to Library”! Originally I thought about using the same library however we each have are own apps etc, that we don’t want to share.
If you need anymore information please ask!

    Hello roaminggnome
Unfortunately the support is down at the moment, I will have a better look later. I did go though the Apple support previously, however I found nothing that worked.
The first thread I came across was “Home Sharing” however no mater what I did, it did not appear in the iTunes sharing list (I did go though the “Show Sharing Networks” support as well)
Secondly, I saw “Using A Single Library With Multiple Accounts On The Same PC” (Something like that) but all this did was let us share the same music location, if I was to rip extra music, it will not show in there library

  • 1 Apple TV 2nd Gen, Windows 7 Computer with multiple user accounts

The issue that I am having is I have 1 Apple TV 2nd Gen and Windows 7 Computer with multiple user accounts.
When I log onto my Windows user account, open up Itunes and turn on home sharing my Apple TV work perfect but if another family member switches to their Windows user account without logging me out, the home share shows up on Apple TV but it just says "Loading ... Library" and never loads.
If we switch back to my user account, restart iTunes, everything is fine. Is there a way to keep my home share active in ATV2 across multiple user accounts? All of my video is under my account.

You can home-share multiple libraries but only use one account at a time.

  • Is there any information about using iCloud on a Mac with multiple user accounts (Mountain Lion)

When upgrading to Mountain Lion, you are asked to sign in using your iCloud ID.  I don't understand how to set up the proper synching of "stuff" if your Mac has multiple user accounts, and they each have their own iCloud ID.
The whole issue of supporting multiple users on a Mac and making everything easy to understand with regard to iTunes and iCloud is, in my opinion, currently in a state of disaster.  Apple needs to address this.  They have conveniently made it a non-issue on iPads by not allowing multiple users.  I can tell you that as one of the resident iOS and Apple experts in my office, most of the questions I get from others (not work-related) are on this topic.  It needs to be easier to understand and accomplish.
Thanks in advance for any information you have on this subject.

  • IMac with multiple user accounts "cannot associate apple id for ....."

I have an iMac with multiple user accounts each with an Apple ID and individual iTunes library and Itunes match linking to iPhones iPads etc.
I bought songs on my iPhone yesterday, on trying to listen to them on the iMac (my user account) this morning I get the "cannot associacte Apple ID for another 31 day" meassage.
Is there any way round this? or is the answer only purchase via iTunes on the iMac in the individual account. Why do Apple do this?

I'm guessing it's for piracy reasons.
