Push messages app's

since my update to IO7, i keep recieving this message whenever i open a app: connect to itunes to use pushmessages.........please help!!

I Shut Down my computer each night.
Last night I left two Finder windows open.
In addition the Login Item for my account mounts and opens two more windows for Drives on another computer. (there now being 4 windows open at the end of Start up today)
One of these was for the folder ~/Library/Messages.
This was behind the two fro the Drives.
I went to select the windows to close them but was not very accurate and the Messages window that was behind the two for the Drives did relocate itself to where I had drag across the Screen.
I was aware that I did not make a good distinction between a Left or Right Click although no Contextual Menu showed up.
I was aiming for the red button on the top window, missed and sort of slide off to one side, which seemed to think I was doing a Click and Drag.
I have tried to repeat this with no luck.
Whilst I might have a quirky type similar issue in the Finder I have no hint of the issue in Messages.
It might be interesting if similar apps have the same issues.
FaceTime uses the IMAgent and the SOAgent helper apps along with Messages.
The Game Center and the above apps can all have login issues which suggests links with each other. However this tends not to be an multiple window app.
A Browser could work as a Multiple window app.
Many graphic apps work with Multiple windows.
There are areas that people could try out in these respects.

Cannot use push messaging app with airport dual band - Help

Can someone help me, i have my router set basically default settings with security set. For some reason i cannot get any push notifications from any messaging app on my ipad. Now on a netgear router i can get it to work with no problem. I hope someone can help or suggest settings, Ive been searching and post on different forms with no luck. even apple support was a dead end. Thanks

Could you provide what settings that were successful with the Netgear router that allowed you to do this and I will help figure out what would be the equivalent settings for the 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn). Are these notifications coming from the Internet and require specific ports to be opened?

Push notifications from Messages App and other apps

Hello!
I've got my first Blackberry (Bold 9790), I have a problem: I don't know what I did before during set up etc. but now I have always doubles push notifications, for exemple, if I receive a message on Whatsapp I get a notification from Whatsapp App and from the Messages app, same for Facebook etc this is annoying me a lot, how can I restore Messages to show me notifications only for SMS and e-mails??? Or how can I get only one notification for all things happen and not receive notifications twice? thank you!!

UPDATEIn Whatsapp I unpluggged th eoption "show chat in the messages folder" and now when I get a new Whatsapp message, in the home screen I get the notification from the app (and not from Messages) but without the preview?!

Annoying 'connect to iTunes to use push messaging' message and app freeze

After installing iOS7 on my iPhone5, every time I open certain apps, I get the message that I have to connect to iTunes to use push messaging. If I hit the OK button, this message keeps on appearing and freezes the app. Double clicking the home button does not force quit the app, the only way to get rid of this message is to reset my iPhone. How do I get rid of this annoyance, other than deleting the app?

Did you get any help on this? From what I can see from surfing this site, it's a BUG that no one has offered a solution to. It sometimes happens after a 'reset' and going to ITunes does not offer a way to 'set up push notifications'.

Push messages when handling multiple apps

Hi,
We handle unique push messages in +50 apps. Each time we have a new issue in one of the magazines we need to login to that account in order to send push-messages. That doesn't scale very well.
An alternative is "Urban Airship" but they switch to a new $$$-model at the end of this year and lack some of the features supported by Adobe.
So right now I'm looking for recommendations on how to handle push when you have multiple apps. They don't have to be all free. Any suggestions?

i added debug points and ran it. i dropped one order file and one note file but it is initializing active instance for both order and note files. Here is the order of logs.

Gmail not 'pushing' to Messaging app..

On my new Maxx, if I go into messaging and view either of the 2 gmail accounts I have and hit refresh, it will refresh and load new e-mail. However, new e-mail will not automatically get delivered as it did with my 'old' RAZR. The gmail app, however, gets updated, but I like using the built in "messaging" app. The POP3 account in the messaging app works just fine.
in Accounts, gmail is setup correctly, password is good, and the box for "update the services to display and sync" is checked.

You lost me a bit on my Razr Maxx an on my Droid X that i 've had for two years there is are two separate Messaging entities The one that says Messaging Witch holds the The Universal Inbox , Text Messaging , an For Mine Yahoo. An the GMail App an Widget is of it's Own or should be on your Maxx. If you need Screen shots i will send them If Wildman Sees this he will put it on to show this as well.. b33

Remember that Arch Arm is a different distribution, but we try to bend the rules and provide limited support for them. This may or may not be unique to Arch Arm, so you might try asking on their forums as well.

I sure hope that the new imessenger doesn't look like the text messaging app, that would be a huge flop for apple. It has to look and feel like bbm or it will just suck.

That is from the Apple site. If all your friends have an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad you cang share with your friends, with is exactly like BlackBerry Messenger (BBM only works on BBs).
And it does look just like the current message format. You can also find that at www.Apple.com

IOS 5 Messaging App on iPad

I have the iPad 1 and a simple Verizon Wireless phone. Will the messaging app in iOS 5 give me a new number or can I link my phone number to the account and have it push me my texts, and when I send texts from it will they show up to my contacts as my regular number? Thanks!

It's not really texting like that - it will send messages between users with iOS devices (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch) ... from what I can tell, it won't deal with your phone number at all and will just show as coming from "John Smith".

Set-up ? regarding Verizon Message+ app

One thing I like a lot is how when I get a text message and it beeps to let me know I have a message when I turn on the screen of my Galaxy Note3 the message is already there and open, it doesn't first make me open the app and check it there. WILL THE APP ALSO DO THIS? In addition to this feature I would like it even more if the app would activate (turn on the screen) so when I take the phone out of it's case to check the beep the screen would already be on with the message displayed. In that way I would not have to push a button to turn on the screen first.

Nokia Messaging app not showing notifications on m...

I've just purchased 5230 NUron from T-Mobile USA. Didn't like the built-in messaging app as it doesn't support push from MobileMe, so I've downloaded the Nokia Messaging App.
The app itself works great, push is fast.
Phone makes a sound when an e-mail arrives, but there is no notification on the home screen as the built-in app usually shows one. If I do not hear the sound and look at my phone 1/2 hour later, there is no way for me to know that I've received an e-mail unless I go into the e-mail and check!
What's the purpose of push, if there is no message shown on the homescreen???
Or are any of my settings wrong?

Check under Profile personalisation whether you have option to set E-mail Alert tone..Also..Settings-->Personal-->Home Screen-->E-mail notifiaction..

Crashing message apps

t might ne helpful of there is a discussion about the potential Unicode text crash. For example telling those affected to get the sender of the text to flood send clean texts to push the crashing code off the screen.

Btw, this is not a discussion about beta apps. It applies to browsers, WiFi, email and other messaging apps.

Push messages are not working after iOS6 update

After updating my iPhone 4 to iOS6, push messages of apps like facebook, facebook messenger, whatsapp, google voice have stopped working in sleep mode.
I get mesaages only when I open the application.
I have tried to factory restore, install all the applications once again, sync phone from iTunes but no use.
Do anyone know why this is happening and what is the solution?

I didn't try resetting the phone first, I can try that.
You can try that but that's not what I meant. The firmware gets save in your iTunes library os not matter how many often you restore your phone it will always restore from the firmware from your library. This firmware could have issues and as long as you restore from it it is more than likely you will keep having the same problems.
Here's how it works:
Mac:
Go to Finder> library>iTunes>iPhone software update.
There you will se the firmware version of your phone, Delete it and then restore. Note that now when you restore the phone, iTunes will re-download a new fresh firmware.
Windows:
Go to C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates.
apply the same procedure described above and you'll have the same result.
If are a windows user, when you get to the Documents and Setting folder, make sure that you select the option to view hidden folders from TOOLS> FOLDER OPTIONS> VIEW>SELECT VIEW HIDDEN FOLDERS so you can see the application data folder in case its not visible. And remember to sync as new phone
I would recomend doing this first.
