Push notification pop ups

I own an iPhone 4 and on it I have a number of applications. Recently, upon going into these applications a pop up regarding "Push Notifications" appears.
This informs me to connect to iTunes to enable these notifications. In certain applications these pop ups fail to disappear once I press "Ok", they simply reappear  second later, therefore making the applications impossible to use. Since this happened I cannot receive notifications of Facebook messages etc.
I have already connected to iTunes in an effort to get rid of these pop ups but it has not helped. I have also tried turning off the Notifications in my Settings, deleted and re downloaded the apps, updated my software and reset my entire phone but nothing has helped.
I would greatly appreciate a reply/ advice as how to combat this problem as it is now incredibly frustrating to use my phone .
Regards

I have had the same problem and what I have found that you can do is:
Settings->Notification centre->select app->choose none at the top and scroll down and choose to not show in notification centre
This us the only thing I have found that you can do and it seems to stop them coming through for me!
Hope this has helped you

  • HT3576 How can I get rid of "Connect to itunes to use push notifications" pop-ups.  I just had to replace my iPhone 5 and when I did a restore from backup, most of my apps will not let me in becuase I cannot get past the"connect to itunes..." message.

My iPhone 5 was distroyed so I replaced it with a new iPhone 5 yesterday.  I did a restore from a backup that i had performed a week ago.  When I tried to use the phone several of my apps would not let me in becuase they continually gave me a popup message "Connect to Itunes to use push notifications".  I click ok and the popup comes back.  I have shut my phone off several times.  I have complete closed the apps several times.  I have even deleted the apps from my phone and reinstalled.  All to no avail.  Please help - does anyone know how to fix this?

Yes - I connected my phone to my computer / Itunes and went into the apps section, but from there I have no idea how to manage the push notifications.  I even tryied going into itunes that is installed on my phone.  I still cannot find anyplace to manage these popups.  I have also gone into settings - notifiations - and tried turning all notifications for these apps all off but that didnt work either.  Any guidance is MUCH appreciated - Im not sure where to go from here.

  • How do I turn off HP Sure supply notification pop-ups?

    Hi,
How do I turn off HP Sure Supply notification pop-ups? They are constant and annoying. I buy HP inks from a different supplier, please help.
    Liz

    Hi @lh39,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I understand you would like to turn off the HP Sure Supply notifications, you are using a different brand of cartridges and keep getting the pop up.
    1. Start Menu
    2. Control Panel
    3. Devices and Printers
    4. Highlight your OJ 8600 (Click on it)
    5. You should now notice at the top of the devices and printers box there is a Print server properties tab (see pic below)
    6. Once in the print server properties please click on the Advanced tab
    7. Make sure ALL the boxes are unchecked (see pic below)
    8. Click Apply
Please keep in mind that this will not turn off essential printer messages, notifying you of problems such as lack of ink or paper jams; it turns off messages notifying you of the completion of a print job or low ink warnings. Essential printer messages are built into the firmware of the printer itself and cannot be disabled.
I got this helpful information www.ehow.com
If you are still getting the error message, use genuine HP ink cartridges to avoid the pop up.
I hope this helps, please let me know if you require more assistance.

  • IPad eMail notification pop-ups

A couple of days ago, eMail notifications started popping up on my iPad screen - very annoying.  I must have changed some setting but can't figure out which one.  How do I prevent the email pop-ups?

Please disregard this issue; did further reading and found the solution, I hope.  Changed Notifications setting.

  • Can I make the fonts bigger in the status bar and the notification pop ups?

I'm really struggling to read some of the pop ups. And the status bar is almost impossible.  Why is the font smaller on an iPad then an iPhone? I can't read the tabs either. The zoom feature helps but come on already.  I've made the fonts bolder but they are just too small. I'm 54 and have worn glasses since I was 6 and there are several areas on this device that are nearly impossible to read. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I've done computer support for many years. Recently moved to a retirement community where the residents have computers of all varieties, and much less trouble with macs than with PCs BUT Safari is terrible for older people with its tiny print, black on dark gray.  Latest versions of Chrome seem to crash a lot, so I'd like to encourage them to use Safari, but the tiny print on tabs is a stumbling block.  Is there any extension or plug-in that will help with THAT? I know how to increase font size on web sites, that's not the problem. It is the specific Safari tabs that are the problem.

  • Why does "connect to itunes to us push notifications pops up on iphone

    how do i fix this?

I had the same exact problem with my iPhone 4. I fixed it by putting my phone in restore mode and then kicking it back out of it. I mention 2 ways. The 1st one is something I think should work because it is based around the same concept. The 2nd method is what I used and is a bit more risky but thats the one I used.
1st method (can't confirm that this works but it just might)
The hard reboot. this is done by holding the HOME and POWER button at the same time until the screen goes blank. Then turn it on again using just the POWER button. This will take a while to turn on so don't panic just have some patience.
2nd method (the one I used)
This is how to do it.
BACK UP before attempting this. The restore mode I used is a kind of a bootable mode which is reversable (not sure if it works on other phone, so IPHONE 4 PEOPLE ONLY).
Turn the phone off the normal way. After it is turned off, hold the HOME button and connect the USB. Continue holding the HOME button until connect to itunes logo on the phone shows up and itunes will pop up saying "a device in restore mode..".
Dissconnect the USB. Now hold the POWER button until the phone turns off (it will after 10 seconds or so). Now turn it on again using the POWER button. It might take a while to turn on(don't panic, have patience). With any luck all the notifications should work and you should be able to sign in into imessage and facetime.

  • On Demand Pop-Ups

With the new Interactive Media Guide on Nov 12, 2014,  now when I go to a channel that is showing a movie that is also an On Demand movie, a pop-up appears for a couple of seconds that tells me to press the > button on the remote if I want to watch the movie from the beginning from OnDemand. I can't find a way to turn these notifications off. I don't need them, because if I want to find out if the movie I am watching is also an On Demand movie, I can quickly find out with the Info button on the remote. I find these pop-ups to be annoying and useless to me. Has anyone found a way to prevent them?

If you go in to settings, there are multiple things that have to be turned off.
    Check for notifications, pop-ups, etc.
One of them should do it.

  • Disabling Push notifications for SMS

I'm fairly new to iOS, and I'm trying to find a way to disable the push notifications presented on events -- like when you receive a text message.
It would be great if there were a way to NOT have push notifications pop up and potentially interrupt whatever I'm doing -- but still have the badge update on the Messages app icon to indicate something new and unread.
Can this be done, or do we need to wait and hope that Apple puts the webOS notifications guy they hired to good use? My last phone was a webOS one, so I got spoiled with that very slick and arguably "better" notifications system.
    <Edited by Host>

Apple Development:  This needs to be addressed.  Like the others, my experience on the device is being interrupted by SMS notifications.  I'm watching a movie on my iphone, but my twitter feeds (which goes to my SMS) interrupts the movie constantly with SMS notifications.  Each one pauses my movie, I have to press close, and then unpause.  Really annoying.  There should be a setting to turn-off SMS notifications and let the App Icon's badge counter take care of notifying you of new messages.   Seriously.  This is an annoying issue that should override any perceived benefit of compelling users to "close" SMS message notifications.  Seems like a simple fix, too.  Please help us development.

  • When opening apps a message pops up saying access iTunes to receive push notifications. Already tried syncing any other suggestions

I updated my iPhone a week ago and everything was working fine. I got on my PC laptop yesterday and there was a notification for an iTunes update. When I tried to update my Internet was down and the update cancelled. I called my ISP and they fixed the problem, but up until I got the update installed my phone kept beeping like there was a push notification even when there wasn't. Every time I open an app it tells me to access iTunes to receive push notifications. I synced my phone today, but I still receive the message and I'm unable to get notifications from any of my apps.

The same with me, i did restore, the problem was fix. But it came over and over again. Annoying pop up!

If on wifi try ethernet. Make sure DNS is set to automatic (settings - general - network). Go to istumbler (Mac) or netstumbler (PC) to get a report of the network, look for signal strength and noise.

I keep getting a pop up on my iophone 5 that says "connect to itunes to use push notifications"  I've connected to itunes and nothing happens.  I cant use the phone as I can;t get the pop up to stop

So after exhausting countless hours I just added the App "Google Search".  It's not as great of an interface but I can access Google Voice and keep tabs by just checking in every so often.  Better than not having Google Voice at all.

  • Whatsapps pop up "connect to iTunes to use push notification"

whatsapps pop up “connect to iTunes to use push notification”
Apple technician tried ways to get rid of pop up but still unable to. Still thanks for their patience.
While waiting on the phone with them for their solution, somehow I switch off my 4s and switch on the power again. It works, no more pop up when I open my whatsapp to read message.

Triplestones.. you don't even know how relieved I am right now !! Phew.. this was a big one to crack.
I have got a iPhone 4 running on iOS 7.0.4 and followed all your same commands -
Double-click Home button and close ALL applications by sweeping finger up on each.
Go to Settings > iCloudSwitch off Find my iPhone
Go to Settings > iTunes & App StoreTouch Apple ID: xxxxxxxxxxx and select Sign Out
Hold down Power button and turn iPhone offAlternatively, hold the Power button and Home button for several seconds to do a hard reset
Press Power button to turn iPhone back on
Go to Settings > iTunes & App StoreEnter Apple ID credentials and sign back in
Go to Settings > iCloudSwitch on Find my iPhone
Open apps which previously had the problem to test
This fixed my iMessage issue too - a big big relieft. I wasn't getting messages from my friends, also my work messages weren't making it through. Thanks a ton !!!
Also when I was turning off 'Find my iPhone' app, it prompted me for my Apple ID password - and for some reason it told me that my password was incorrect !! I don't know if someone hacked into my account during one of those multiple prompts I got when I tried the other methods -
    - ONLY Turning off iCloud
    - Resetting Network Settings - from Settings -> General
    - Turning off phone and connecting to iTunes to switch it back on.
But that was more of a precautionary note to anyone trying these methods to crack this issue. So I have a new password to use now.
P.S. - I am not a big forum message guy, but this one definitely deserved a big thank you note.
