Push Notification Problem with Lion Server

Hello,
i just upgraded my SL Server to Lion without any problems...... so far
After enabling Push Notification i get this message every 10 seconds in the console:
Jul 22 14:12:13 server jabberd_notification/router[185]: [127.0.0.1, port=52968] connect
Jul 22 14:12:13 server com.apple.APNBridge[3287]: Unable to find identity com.apple.APNBridge.https
Jul 22 14:12:13 server com.apple.APNBridge[3287]: Unable to configure SSL.  Not starting HTTP Server
Jul 22 14:12:13 server jabberd_notification/router[185]: [127.0.0.1, port=52968] disconnect
Jul 22 14:12:13 server com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.APNBridge[3287]): Exited with code: 1
Jul 22 14:12:13 server com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.APNBridge): Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds
And of course... Push Notification does not work.
Does anybody know how to get rid of this message and get Push Notification working?
Thank you very much!

Here is the full log after re-entering my credentials for push notifications:
I noticed a couple of the lines that says Oct 13 09:54:04 ericpelletier jabberd_notification/c2s[1831]: [eric-pelletiers-imac.local] configured; realm=eric-pelletiers-imac.local, registration disabled
this is my old hostname, I changed it recently, everything else is working except the push notifications, when could I change that host name for push notifications??

  • Nokia lumia 520 push notification problem with wha...

I have a Lumia 520, and i find that i do not receive push notifications for my whatsapp messages. I have to open the application before the messages come through. I would like to know how to correct this. I have checked all my settings.

On a HTC-forum I saw the next solution, and it works also for Nokia Lumia!  That means it is a Microsoft Issue!
    1) Unpin Windows store from start
    2) ERASE Internet Explorer History
    3) ADD new language to the keyboard (Settings-->keyboard-->add keyboards
(CHOOSE A LANGUAGE THAT REQUIRE DOWNLOAD)
    4) When downloading is finished, it will ask to restart and install
    5) After installation and restart do the following;
         A) UNINSTALL WHATSAPP
         B) REINSTALL WHATSAPP (you can get conversation history back when asked, so no problem)
After this the push function works, but there is still a delay up to 10 minutes! So when you test, be patient.
NO BETTER PRESSURE MEDIUM THAN ANTI ADVERTISING SO AFTER THIS EXPEDITION PLEASE CHANGE YOUR STATUS TEXT TO:
USING WINDOWS; THAT MEANS DELAY UP TO 10 MINUTES
When all Window Phone users display that message, Microsoft has to come with a final solution!
    Please spread the word

  • Push notification problems with 4s.

Recently I have been having problems with my whatsapp application, it keeps prompting "Connect to iTunes to use push notifications" how to solve this very annoying problem? Please help. Never jailbreak before.

You'll need to address your problem to the Whatsapp developer.  This has nothing to do with the Iphone but the apps itself.
Try reading the app review and see if other users are having the same problem and if there is a resolution.

  • Is there a fix for the iTunes push notification problem with Dropbox on iPhone ios 7.0.4

After updating to IOS 7.0.4 iPhone (which I now regret), when I open the Dropbox App, I get a warning "Connect to iTunes to use Push Notifications". When I push OK, it pops up again, constantly, so I can't even close Dropbox. Is there a fix for this? I've uninstalled and re-instaled Dropbox and checked for updates, but nothing helps. Any ideas?

    Hello CraigNicholson
You would need to sync with iTunes to get that process to work for you. Check out the article below for more information on how to resolve that issue to get the proper token to use Push Notifications again.

  • Push Notifications Problem With my home wi-fi

Hey guys, i have this problem that I've been trying to solve for months but i cant figure it out..
At my home wi-fi.. i don't get any notifications on my iphone 3g.. for example when on facebook someone posts on your wall, a box is supposed to pop out (push notification) and tell you ''Person'' just posted on your wall.. also for games like Tap Tap revolution ... A new message on Ebuddy or anything else
here's an example (this is not from my phone) http://gigapple.files.wordpress.com/2010/01/push_notification.jpg
But when I go to my cousins house, or anybody else's house all these notifications that were supposed to come out are popping all at the same time.. that means I'm getting these old notifications from facebook and other apps that i was supposed to get before...it seems like my home wi-fi is blocking everything but I don't know how to fix it.. does anyone have an idea?
    Thanks

    Additional information:
    1. The Cable modem, Cisco/Linksys broadband router, d-link switch are all on a power/surge protector strip and are the only things that I power down to restore the network
    2. The D-Link switch also connects 2 remote Synology dual drive storage units, 2 Guardian dual drive storage units, and 2 APC UPS units.

  • Snow Leopard Server with Lion Server for APNS

    Hello Everyone,
I'm wanting to keep my Snow Leopard Server (Xserve) setup in place its working great, and cant afford to have any down time on the company network. What I would like to do is setup up an additional Mac Mini with Lion server to handel just the APNS. Is this possiable.
I would be running all of the services, mail, OD, addressbook, caladar, on the Snow leopard server but want to use Lion Server to push out and manage some Lion clients, and iPhone with a second server has anyone done this, can this setup work?
    Thanks!
    Robert

    Hi Robert
"Can you provide the basics for setup?"
Apart from making sure DNS is configured correctly - as always - there's not much else you need to know. Server has to be configured as an OD Master. It does work with the default self-signed certificate although Apple do recommend you purchase one from a CA such as Verisign. I mention Verisign because it's trusted by the US Government. Once you've got your push notification certificate from Apple, enable the relevant option in the Server App. From there create the enrolment profile and key in the relevant url in your IOS device. The rest is fairly obvious. If DNS is not properly configured for your network this part probably will fail.
"Can this all be completed in server admin, or the new server.app?"
AFAIK Server Admin is not involved with APNS.
"Did you just bind Lion Server too Snow Leopard Server, connect to another OD, or replica?"
This was on a publicly accessible server that was its own OD Master. Provided things are configured correctly I can't see why it can't work with an environment that's behind NAT.
"What do I setup after this?"
Apart from making sure DNS is configured properly as well as the tip regarding trusted certificates I can't think of anything else? From what I've seen MDM in Lion Server is very good and what's more quick on the devices I tested. I only tested IOS devices and testing was done 'over the air.' You can still use the ICPU assuming you kept a copy of the download?
    HTH?

  • Problem with Lion 10.7.3 with hp laserjet 3600n network  printer

    Hi
Problem with Lion 10.7.3 with hp laserjet 3600n network  printer
Guys i am having a mad day with this new OS and some network printer none of them work with new LION,The software for this printer is currently unavaliable. Please contact the printers manufacturer for the latest software, i need the drivers for this, please give a hand with this issue
    Best Regards

Exactly the same infuriating problem we and many others get with OS X from 10.6 on when Apple dropped Apple Talk.
Having spent days fighting to get drivers that will run our older laser printers like HP5000, 5100, 2100, 2200 and 4MV, we came up with a simple solution:
We use an iMac running 10.5.8 as a print server. All the 10.6 upwards Macs on the same network will see and add the printers immediately through the shared older (Apple Talk) iMac.
Cheapest and simplest option really .... it'sannoying that a brand new Mac can no longer see existing network printers without complex investigation and trying various downloads.
Answer is simple and cheap if you happen to own a 4 or 5 year old Mac with an OS lower than 10.6 which still has Apple Talk.

  • Startup problem with Lion OS 10.7.3

Just recently, I've been experiencing a startup problem with Lion. I don't usually have any issues running my Mac, so I'm at a loss why this is happening now.
I have an Intel Mac Pro running 10.7.3. I usually leaving my Mac running all the time and only restart when the need arises. In addition to being my main computer, this mac alsocontrols a MacMini that serves as a music server thru screen sharing.
This past weekend, I restarted my Mac and could not get past the grey screen. The mac chimes, the apple logo appears with the spinning gear, the blue screen briefly appears, but instead of progressing to the desktop it reverts to the grey screen with a repeating cycle of the spinning gear appearing (spins for a while, stops, disappears, reppears spinning, stops, disappears, over and over) - never progressing beyond that stage.
I decided to reinstall the system and things have been fine for the past few days. Today, restarting again resulting in the same problem.
I've tried several things without success. I disconnected all peripherals, reset the PRAM/SMC, ran Disk Utility from a install volume and ran repair and permissions (no problems reported). Tried safe mode startup - a progress bar appeared but never fully progressed and could not get to the desktop.
Recent changes included updating the OS to 10.7.3 and Adobe Photoshop CS5.5 - no recent hardware changes. No bluetooth devices connected.
    Any thoughts? Thanks -

    Thanks -
I've reinstalled the OS today and am back up and running.
But, since this is twice this has happened within the past week, I'm worried about might be causing this issue - besides bad luck. My Mac is usually rock solid - can't remember the last time I've had to reinstall the OS in the past few generations of OS X.

  • How to use webmail address book on Mac Mini Server with Lion Server.

I have a Mac Mini Server with Lion Server installed; the webmail is setup and working but I can not get the address book to work.
I have followed an instruction from this website on how to activate the address book icon in webmail but can not add any addresses.  Is there something that needs to be activatied before it will work?

No, I didn't solve the problem. The monitor still goes to sleep with WIndows but not with my Mac Mini. About 8 months ago I basically wore out the power switch on my monitor so I bought a wireless power switch to shut it off at the outlet. The VX2835wm monitor itself is now starting to fail as well-- a couple of times it's gone through a weird sequence of flashing screen colors on power up and ended up in an overscan mode (that took me for ever to figure out how to fix). I have decided to replace my VX2835wm with a Dell u2412m once it fails for good partly because I really want to keep the 16:10 resolution (very hard to find these days) and partly because I want to see if a different make of monitor will go to sleep properly based upon my Mac Mini power down settings.

  • I reset my iPhone 4 Network settings to fix the push notification problem, but I lost my internet connection. How do I fix it?

I tried to solve the "connect to iTunes to receive push notifications"-problem by resetting my network settings, but it only caused me to lose my internet connection when using 3G. Now I can't do anything with this stupid phone. How do I fix it? I don't want to reset anything anymore, I'm sick of this new iOs update, it seriously messed up my phone and I can't do anything properly anymore. Any help?
And btw, I would also like to get the push notifications back on. Connecting to iTunes did absolutely nothing. Resetting the network settings only made my situation worse. Help please!

    Hi there Julia,
Ahh The iPhone isn't "stupid" it's been called "stupid" because you are frustrated at the situation , but try
Load iTunes. Backup your phone. Make sure it is backed up !! Run restore. This will get rid of the error! And please what ever you do , do not skip the back up!
    Thanks,

    Thanks in advance
    Ajay

The VERY FIRST message in the server log gives you a hint as to what the problem might be. The server thinks you have spaces in your PATH to the application server. Therefore, the solution is to kill the server however you need to (task manager, whatever) and then reinstall it in a path that doesn't contain spaces. That's the low-hanging fruit here; if that doesn't work, well, then we will have to find some other solution.
