Anyone else have this problem with hotmail?
Really terrrible, needs to be fixed yesterday

If some push notification apps do produce sounds and badges, and other apps don't, this is due to the particular app server, not the phone. Not all apps actually have sounds and badges, even though they have settings for them.
If you know that a particular app does use these (i.e. they work on another iPhone), you can try deleting and reinstalling the apps, reseting your phone, reseting all settings, restoring from a backup and restoring as a new iphone.

I tried to solve the "connect to iTunes to receive push notifications"-problem by resetting my network settings, but it only caused me to lose my internet connection when using 3G. Now I can't do anything with this stupid phone. How do I fix it? And btw, I would also like to get the push notifications back on. Connecting to iTunes did absolutely nothing. Resetting the network settings only made my situation worse. Help please!

Ahh The iPhone isn't "stupid" it's been called "stupid" because you are frustrated at the situation , but try
Load iTunes. Backup your phone. Make sure it is backed up !! Run restore. This will get rid of the error! And please what ever you do , do not skip the back up!

Getting old push notifications along with new push notifications..

I was Getting old push notifications along with new push notifications for the app.
from server side we made sure we are not sednig again the old notifications.
Any help on this ?

My iPhone 4s says that my software version 5.0.1 is up to date. Why am I not receiving the notification that the new update is available for me to download?

I have an iPhone 4s, not jailbroken. I was able to update to 5.0.1 when it came out last year. When 5.1.1 came out, I noticed that I never received the
notification that a new update was available. I updated my 2 ipads and my wife's iphone 4. I didn't bother looking into it, since I didn't feel the need to update to 5.1.1. Now I want to update to ios 6, but when I go to Settings > General > Software Update. It checks for updates , but still shows me that my 5.0.1 is up to date. I plug into itunes and check for update there and it still indicates that 5.0.1. is up to date as well.
Does anyone know what this is happening and how I can update to ios 6?

The passcode you need to enter is the passcode you set on your device. It is the passcode that you enter when you turn on your iPad or awaken it from sleep after and Auto lock.
If you do not know or remember your password and did not store it somewhere then you will have to restore your device.

For the certificate issue, it mostly occurs because the host name that Outlook are trying to access does not match the certificate SAN. Please check with this point. If they do not match, you

You ought to be very pleased with that MacBook. 16 GB memory and a 512 GB SSD is a very robust configuration that should serve you well for many years.
Mavericks runs extremely well on a MacBook Pro with a quarter that amount of memory.
Since Mavericks is free it doesn't really matter if it or Mountain Lion is installed when you buy it. You really should purchase Macs from the Apple Store since they won't be any cheaper anywhere else, and that is the only way to buy one with absolute assurance it has not been misused or improperly stored.
You can order a Mac configured with custom options on a Sunday evening and it can be on your desk that Wednesday morning. Shipping is free.
I have no idea why anyone would by a Mac from anyone other than Apple, but they do. Complaints from those who buy Macs from "big box" resellers appear on this site in disproportionate numbers, for reasons that are not clear.

But as Dan said, a Production database should always be updated to the latest patchset (so here in
10.2.0.4) after checking it on your Test database.
Not only it can correct many bugs but, if you have to open a SR to MOS, you'll have a better support
(sometimes, if they think it's a bug they can ask you to apply the patchset too).

Push Notification Problems on 3GS with IOS Update

I recently updated my iPhone 3GS with IOS 5. Since then I've found my phone is very slow, but also that my What's App Messenger and Facebook apps do not give me push notifications. Everytime I open the apps, it tells me to connect with iTunes to use push notifications. I've done this a few times, but it makes no difference. I don't know if I'm suppose to change any settings on iTunes, but cant find anything to change. All my Whatsapp notification settings are on. I also don't want to re-install WhatsApp because I'm scared I will lose all my messages.
I found with previous software updates that my phone slowed down, but Apple fixed it quickly. I really hope they will fix this soon. I dont understand why they don't warn users about the possible problems the new software can cause. I've read on a few sites that you cannot restore your iPhone or iPad 1 to previous software.
Hope someone can help me with my push notification settings.

Push notification problems on IOS 7?

Since updating to IOS7 i will open an app and it tells me to connect to itunes for push notifications. what do i need to do to fix this? and my imesaage and facetime? i dont understand why tehy would release a new software with these major problems.

Do they sync but not play on the iPod?
Do the play in iTunes on the computer?
Does any media now sync and play to the iPod via wifi?

I have a few apps that use these functions but it seems like only the on screen notification works. Badges and sounds dont seem to work. Thats useless because you wouldnt be able to know if there is an alert if you werent looking at the screen on the time. I dont mind the badge but at lease sounds should have worked.. Even the new facebook update with push notifications doesnt have sound even though its enabled

I have a Lumia 520, and i find that i do not receive push notifications for my whatsapp messages. I have to open the application before the messages come through. I would like to know how to correct this. I have checked all my settings.

On a HTC-forum I saw the next solution, and it works also for Nokia Lumia! That means it is a Microsoft Issue!
1) Unpin Windows store from start
2) ERASE Internet Explorer History
3) ADD new language to the keyboard (Settings-->keyboard-->add keyboards
(CHOOSE A LANGUAGE THAT REQUIRE DOWNLOAD)
4) When downloading is finished, it will ask to restart and install
5) After installation and restart do the following;
A) UNINSTALL WHATSAPP
B) REINSTALL WHATSAPP (you can get conversation history back when asked, so no problem)
After this the push function works, but there is still a delay up to 10 minutes! So when you test, be patient.

Push notification problems in ios 8.1 for outlook and hotmail imap accounts

I am having issues with push notifications ios 8.1 on my iPhone 6 for my Hotmail.com and outlook.com accounts.
No problem at all with my icloud email.
I get notifications off and on but not all the time. Push has become very unreliable and I constantly have to check my emails. The emails do sync correctly as they are in the mail app, however most of the time I don’t receive the push notifications unless I'm in the mail app. I have tried all of the below suggested "fixes", but none of them solve the problem:
- Reset Network settings - Deleted accounts/rebooted phone/added accounts again - Changed password - Changed from push to fetch and back again - Checked all push settings which are set to push on lock screen - Cellular data is enabled for mail.

Hello, I had the same issue since a few days.... really annoying. In fact I received the "badge", the label indicating I received new mails but it wasn't able to load them. I also tried everything you mentionned but now i gave up and deleted my hotmail mailbox on my iphone and reset it as exchange mailbox. ( in the screen where you can choose which type of mailbox you want to install eg. outlook/yahoo/.... you can choose the option exchange). sadly enough you can only see the mails of max 1 month old (manually to adapt 1 day / 5 days/ etc) and you can't really browse through your mail archives. But at least I receive my mails again!

FIXED: Yahoo Push Notifications for Multiple Accounts on ICS - Working

I have a Razr Maxx that I manually updated to ICS the day the OTA was available.
I had previously set up a couple of Yahoo/AT&T accounts and Gmail and they were working just fine.
Gmail continued to work but I stopped receiving push notifications from Yahoo/AT&T.

There was no way I was going to do a hard reset as a first option. Nor did I want to delete and re-enter all the account information for all the accounts. So I decided the easiest, first step would be to try the "clear the cache" "Alternate method".
Step 4 states "Press Volume Down to select Recovery then press Volume Up". However, every other step states to "press Power button" to select. I pressed "Power button" instead of pushing the volume up to select.
Upon complete restart I got notifications on all my Yahoo/AT&T accounts.

I've had Yahoo since my iPhone 3G and the push notification has consistently been flaky so this is nothing new for me. You can contact Yahoo via their website, submit a troubleshooting request, and they will look into it.
As an anecdote, my iCloud and Gmail (Google Apps) accounts have been consistently more reliable than Yahoo for push notification. If Push is a primary concern, you might look into getting a free iCloud account (no ads!).

I have the exact same problem you have? I can occasionally getpushnotification, but only once a day fore facebook. For twitter, I get nothing and newer got. Other programs never got any notification att all.Push notification is on both under notification center and the respective programs.I have iOS 5.0.1 on iPhone 4S.
