Push profiles x2 removes mail account

Hi.
When our server pushes out new settings to the clients everything works fine the first time. Next time it pushes out the same/altered settings the log book shows errors and the mail settings is removed... Everything else works fine. This happens on all our Imac in the office. We just renewd the apple push certificates but I dont think that is the cause.. or?

  • HT1277 How to delete/remove mail accounts. After I restart mail they all come back.

I would like to remove mail accounts on my Mac. I press"-" and account is gone, however as soon as I start mail again it shows back. Is there a way to remove it so it wouldn't come back?
    Thank you.

From the Finder menu bar, select Go ▹ Go to Folder... and enter
    ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
in the text box that opens. A Finder window will open with a file selected. Press the key combination command-I to open the Info window. In the Sharing & Permissions section of that window, do you have read & write access? Is the file locked? What is its modification date?

  • How to remove mail account in mail in windows 8?

I said is the windows store mail app. how to remove an account in it?
On the other hand, I also don't know how to ADD a second acccount in Mail.

Thanks for that!  I run a blazing fast laptop (ASUS ZenBook UX51) yet the Charm Bar takes forever to load and sometimes I need several attempts.  So I've blocked the entire UI by using Start 8 and never go to the Win8 UI except for Mail.  This
issue with GMail hanging out there without connecting, coupled with the MS Live ID policy of never allowing you to ever reuse a password pretty much kept me away from Windows for over a month. I use Linux for all of my telephony and speech recognition consulting
    work.
MS Live ID now has a pwd that I have on a Post It Note on my desk (like millions who are forced to use MS Live).  Some security policies do not make sense when weighed against the unintended consequences of extremely tight policies.  MSoft sadly
has never listened to security experts who also are user interface experts with understanding of psychology. <<<Not me, but I work with a few of them and boy they flame MS about security issues with end users!
I had a couple of minutes this morning, so I found this post.  I appreciate the time you spent posting the instructions.  I removed GMail and am considering removing the other accounts too since they are now covered by the very insecure MS Live
ID (My password is on my desk.....)
IMHO, MSoft should add in another UI control within the mail app to do this. Perhaps if only a visible link. Classically there have been at least three ways to accomplish an action in Windows.  By limiting it to just one that is optimized for the less
than optimized UI touch, MSoft is making it difficult for end user.

  • Removing mail account

My itunes sync page has an old mail account that I have not used in 5 years. I have deleted the account from my computer, but cannot get the sync page to update to the accurate mail account which is on my phone. Any ideas on how to get the correct account on both the phone and sync page?

you can just delete the account from mail preferences->accounts. however, I strongly suggest you do a lot more than that. boot from the leopard install DVd and do an erase and install of leopard. this will give your girlfriend a clean system and wipe all your private data too.
    Thank you!

  • Removing Mail accounts from Server Admin Mail:Maintenance:Accounts list

I have removed users from WGM and they are still showing up in Server Admin. I've seen posts that said to use SirAdmin or cyradm from the command line to remove them, but when I use those, the users aren't listed. Only in SA are these users still listed. Any ideas?
I've moved this mail server from a 10.3 machine to a 10.4 machine so this may be legacy issues. It seems that any users I've deleted since being on 10.4 have been removed from the list. It's just users who I had deleted while it was on 10.3 that are still showing up.

Yes I did. I added a user to the admin line of imapd.conf and logged in as that user. When I try logging in to SirAdmin as another user I get an error and it won't even open a connection.

  • How to remove mail account from mac only

I just have my mac air and used it for 1 week, but am gonna give it out to my sister changing with another one. I have set up my yahoo email accounts in my mac air, and how could i delete the email account on my mac without deleting all the contents form the server? Anyone help please, thanks

You can create an Admin account for your sister and then delete your account.
Backup any important data first before deleting your account.

  • Syncing stuck on mail accounts

Suddenly - all worked great before - my syncing has stuck on mail accounts. I tried "replace information" for the mail accounts and I restored the software (installed 1.1.1) but the problem started in 1.0.2.
    What now?
    thanks,

I'm having a similar problem. It takes hours for my new iPhone to sync. But when I removed mail accounts from my sync profile, it only took minutes. My question is this: is it necessary to sync my mail accounts each time I sync my iPhone? I don't quite understand what syncing does for my mail accounts.

  • How do I remove an account from synergy, palm profile, everywhere

I have reported this to Palm support, but I'm hoping someone else has seen this and knows the answer (Hardbeatz, this should be easy for you).
I let someone else log in to their facebook account on my Pre+. It instantly put all of her contacts into my contacts list. Not what I wanted. So, I deleted that account in the Facebook app, in the address book app, and everywhere else I could find a reference to it.  However, when I "synch" my Palm profile, that e-mail address continues to show up, and returns the error that it is using an invalid password (thank goodness it didn't remember it". So every time I sych my profile, I get that error.
Coincidentally, I got a replacement Pre+ a few days later. So, I activated the phone and it continues to show that e-mail address when I go through the "first run" process. I've run OS Doctor, twice. I've done the reset/full erase, twice.
Every time I "synch" my contacts with my Palm Profile, I get that "incorrect password" for the other person's facebook account. Really? Where is that little bit of info hiding?
It isn't on my palm profile page, not in my facebook client, not in my address book....
I spent a couple of hours chatting with a VERY knowledgable person at Palm support. He opened a ticket because he couldn't solve it.
    This question was solved.

Try also checking Calendar and Photos and see if the Facebook account is there also. Most likely the account has not been fully removed. For Facebook, it shows up in Contacts, Calendar, and Photos, as well as the app if installed.

  • Deleting Existing Mail Accounts When Applying Config Profile

Ok, this might be kind of an easy one for some of you, but we can't seem to figure it out.
WITHOUT doing a remote wipe on the user's iPhone prior to installing our Profile(Made in the iPhone Configuration Utility), is there a way to have the Profile remove any and all existing email accounts when installed?
    Here's our situation --
We have numerous un-managed iphones connecting to our OWA for email, now we want to manage them, so our policy is changing, they must have our profile installed. What's wrecking our vibes is when we install the profile on our test phone, the existing mail account is still useable. Now we are changing URLs because we're moving to a 2010 exchange system, but the old URL still works, it just redirects the person to the 2010 system...
So what we need is a way to remove the existing mail profiles completely, even if it wipes their GMAIL or YAHOO. It's fine, it's in the document they sign granting us permission to do so... or do we have to wipe their device completely prior, and if so, is there a way the profile when installed could wipe the device?
    Thanks!

  • Can't remove unwanted mail account in Preferences

On my network, I have a MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard and a Mac Mini running Snow Leopard Server. I had previously activated Mail services on the SNS machine which automatically pushed an email account to the MBP - so alongside my regular Apple MobileMe and Gmail accounts in Apple Mail, I have a greyed out email account provided by Snow Leopard Server.
However - I have since turned off and disconnected the SLS mac Mini from the network (after turning off the Mail service). I now have a greyed out email account on my MBP - obviously I have tried deleting it under Preferences > Account but it is removed for a moment and then re-appears. It does this regardless of if the MBP is on the network so something locally is forcing this email account to remain in Apple Mail.
    Any ideas anyone?
    Thanks.

The mail account is owned by the server, not the MBP, so I would image that as the mail account is on the server, it will need to be deleted from the server, with the MBP connected so as both mail clients can synchronise.
    Hope this helps

Within the menu I can find an option where I can change the settings for the different e-mail accounts, but there is no menu option "remove account". I just updated to iOS 6.0.  During setup, it asked if I wanted my me.com e-mail to come to my iPad.  I said yes but have changed my mind.  I can't figure out how to remove it.  It does not show as an e-mail account.  Any suggestions?

  • Removing an e-mail account

Hi, I really need to be sure about this before I do something stupid. I want to remove a POP account I no longer use from Apple Mail, but I would like to keep the messages from this account. Now, when I try to remove it in the Preferences, warnig pops up, telling me that this would delete the mailboxes and the messages of this account permanently (it's a POP, so no backup on the server). What I would like to know is this: does removing an account also delete the messages that are not in the mailbox anymore, i.e. the messages that were moved to various folders On My Mac, either manually or using Rules? I would really like to just get rid of the account, but I allways keep all my mail in folders rather than in the Inbox/Mailbox. Thanks for your help. G.

    Hello:
I have not done what you wish to try, but, IMHO, mail you have moved to folders on your Mac should not be deleted if you delete the Mail account.  To be sure, however, back up those folders (Time Machine would do this automatically).
