Push stopped working

I've just upgraded my iphone and itunes, but I am unable to use icloud as my computer keeps telling me the "apple Push has stopped working".  Has any one got any solutions?

See this thread: https://discussions.apple.com/message/16502356
To summarize that thread, a workaround for this problem is to set APSDaemon.exe to always run as an administrator. Here's how to do it in Windows 7 (Vista should be almost exactly the same).
Browse to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support"
Right-click on APSDaemon.exe
Under the Compatibility tab, check "Run this program as an administrator"

  • Apple Push stopped working

Immediately on launching itunes I get the message Apple Push has stopped working and then itunes crashes.  I've tried all the suggested fixes in the help file, uninstalled and reinstalled itunes, no luck.  What on earth is apple push and how can I remove or fix it?
I didn't even plug a device in or make any changes to itunes, it was working great until it just crashed out the blue.  So frustrating, thanks for nayone who can help me!

I renamed C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support\ASPDaemon.exe to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support\ASPDaemon.bak and the problem went away, it's probably because I had data in my User folder that conflicted, but I don't actually use an ipod, just like iTunes to manage my music and purchase new music, so air sync seems a bit redundant.
Hope this helps anyone who doesn't need to wifi sync.

    Hi Amit,
According to your description, I understand that some mobile phone cannot get the push from Exchange server after add an Cisco Network switch in your environment, besides test ActiveSync failed with very long delay.
I want to double confirm some points, please help to collect the answer for following questions:
    1. What’s the function for Kemp load balance, hardware or network traffic optimization?
    2. Are you using Cisco network switch as network load balance functionality?
    3. How about the Outlook sync from the external?
Depend on the error message and your test, it’s related to Network issue instead of  Exchange.
Please try to use Microsoft Network Monitor to get more detail progress of the connection of sync, for more resource:

  • Hotmail Push stopped working

    Hello,
I had my hotmail account setup in my iPhone 4 for using 'm.hotmail.com' as an exchange server. All worked fine for about 1 year now, even under iOS5. Suddenly within the last view days I don't get any push notifications on my screen anymore. What happened? Anyone else got this problem?
    Kind regards,
    Michael

I've got exactly the same problem with my hotmail push notifications.  Worked fine for the first 2 weeks and now it comes and goes at random.  So annoying!  We can't be the only ones!

  • Mail push not working on iPhone 4

For some reason my mail and apps icon are not displaying the red circle badges that indicate how many unread mail/available app updates are present. I have to open up mail for it to update, after which point the red badge is displayed on the icon...Anyone else having this problem, and any possible solutions?

When email push stops working for me, I simply quit and then restart the Mail app and it starts working again. This works for both my Yahoo and Exchange accounts. Still, it seems there is obviously a problem that needs to be fixed (since most folks will purposely and/or inadvertantly leave the Mail app running all the time).
Btw, when I say "quit", I mean exit out of the Mail app (you can't quit an app that you are currently "in"), bring up the multitasking bar (double-click the Home button), enter jiggle mode (hold down any running app's icon and wait), and then press the minus sign on the running Mail app's icon.

  • Push not working on iPhone 4 (Orange UK)

Anyone else having problems with this?
    Am I missing something obvious?
I've got Notifications turned to 'On' under settings but I don't seem to be getting any (none for Facebook, Gmail, Game Apps etc). The only time the a number in a red circle appears is when I manually open Mail, Facebook etc.
Anyone have any ideas? Could it be a problem with my network (Orange) not setting it up correctly their end?
    Cheers

My 6th gen nano ipod stopped working. I figured it was because it was next to my sweaty body, so put it in rice. I sought help from internet and tried all of the troubleshooting steps; i.e pushing down the power button and the volume down button consecutively, plugging it in to a power source, waiting 10 minutes and pushing the buttons while it was plugged in. Nothing has worked thus far. Is there anything else that I can try?

  • Push Email Stopped Working - MS Exchange

My push email has stopped working on my iPad 3G. It used to work quite well but has recently stopped and I cannot figure out why. I only use Exchange email, which downloads fine when I open the Mail app.
Contact and Calendar Sync seem to work just fine. I also get Push notifications for the Google and App Store just fine.
I have triple-checked all settings, rebooted several times, deleted the account and re-added it, and nothing has worked.
    I am using iOS 4.2.1.
    Any suggestions?

I have 2 email accounts on my iPhone, a mobile me account and an MS Exchange account for work. Yesterday morning the exchange account said that it could not connect to the server and as as result my emails and appointments had not been updating but the mobile me account was working just fine.
Nothing had been changed on the exchange server as we have a hosted exchange service but I did add a couple of folders to my exchange using Outlook of Mac 2011 and do a little house cleaning.
I considered deleting the account from my iphone and starting again but I thought I'd fiddle first and low and behold after resetting all my safari data I thought I'd look at my email settings for the millionth time and just coz I hadn't tried it yet I switched the SSL connection off, got an error so I turned it back on again. Some how this did the trick, 2 minutes later my mail updated and so did my appointments.
I am running an iPhone 4 with OS 4.3... probably time to update.
    Hope this helps

  • Apple Push has stopped working - Exchange Server Install

Just installed MS Exchange server.  Set up my Windows 7 Pro machine and Outlook 2010.  Everytime I open Outlook on my machine I receive a Apple Push has stopped working error.
    Problem Details:
    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
    Application Name: APSDaemon.exe
    Application Version: 2.1.14.3

    You need to have iTunes recreate the Apple Push Service. To do this you need first !!!CLOSE ITUNES!!! to go to;
    1. My Computer(or Computer if using vista or higher)
    2. C: Drive (Usually called “Local Disk”)
    3. Program Files (If you are using a 64 bit version of windows it will be in Program Files x86. To check if you are using 64 bit right click on computer and go to properties)
    4.Common Files
    5. Apple
    6.Apple Application support
So your navigation bar should look like this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support.
In there you are going to be renaming the file APSDeamon to APSDeamon.BAK and agree to any prompts that may appear. When you next open iTunes it will force iTunes to recreate that file as it is no longer able to find it. Now your apple devices should work again with your computer.

  • Push Notifications Stop Working

I'm having a problem receiving push notifications on my iPhone 5 (Verizon). This affects push email (iCloud and Exchange), iMessage, and third-party apps. Push notifications will work normally for some period of time (on average, a few hours, sometimes less) and then stop working. Toggling airplane mode or restarting the phone will restart the push notifications service and temporarily fix the problem. But it then recurs. I've tried resetting network settings and backing up & restoring the phone, but the problem recurs.
I've also noticed that the apsd process is crashing on my phone. APSD is the Apple Push Service Daemon. It seems every few hours or so, it crashes with exception EXC_CRASH (SIGABRT), and the phone stops displaying push notifications. You can see the crash logs in Settings-->General-->About-->Diagnostics & Usage-->Diagnostic & Usage Data.
I have no problems (and no similar crash logs) on my iPhone 4S (AT&T)  and iPad 3rd-gen (Verizon), both of which are running iOS 6. Is anyone else having similar issues and has anyone gotten a response from Apple?

Same problem, wiped and restored phone and it fixed it temporarily (just like restarting or toggling airplane mode would). Only seems to affect my corporate Exchange account, as I have my Gmail account added as an Exchange account to take advantage of Push and Contact syncing and it continues to work fine. I tested with another iPhone 5 in our organization and it has been working fine since the user got it.
However, I don't see APSD in Diagnostic & Usage Data, I'm not sure how long that log is kept but it has stopped working twice since I performed a restore on the phone, last night and again this morning (only a few minutes after I restarted).

    Verizon 13.3
    Version 6.0.1 (10A525)

Am going to try wiping and setting it up as a new phone.
