Put away not possible in inbound delivery

Hi,
Created a MT ZXX for STO with delivery . Inbound delivery gets created from SPED, however find that the field for 'put away' is disabled , even though it is selected for 'put away ' in 0VLP.
Request to inform the probable rwasons for the same . Is it due to that the MT in schedule line does not have the 'follow on' movement type option in OMJJ. I copied the ZXX from 601 , then how to get that option for 'follow on' movement.
With regards,
Mrinal

  • Delivery date from PO not updated with inbound delivery (EDI) date

    Dear all,
The delivery date in the purchase order (as per my understanding) is the purchase order creation date + the planned delivery time.
We are using EDI and an inbound delivery gets created when the shipping notification is received from the vendor.
The real inbound delivery (EDI) date is usually different from the planned delivery date of the purchase order. But the problem is that the delivery date from the PO is not getting updated with the EDI delivery date.
Is it possible to have the delivery date from the PO updated with the real EDI delivery date?
I need this because I want to calculate planned delivery costs based on the EDI delivery date, and so far when I post the goods receipt (Price Date Category = "Delivery date" in the PO), the system is taking the price valid at the delivery date from the PO instead of taking the price valid at the delivery date of the EDI message.
    Thanks a lot,
    Annabelle R.

We have applied the note 793478 "Change of the pricing date in EXIT SAPLEINR 003".
In our process flow, an inbound delivery is created with reference to the PO, then the goods receipt is done with reference to this inbound delivery.
When the option 5 "Goods receipt date" is selected in the Conditions Control tab of the purchase order, now when the goods receipt is posted, the price is calculated based on the inbound delivery date, which is what we wanted.

  • Goods receipt not possible for outbound delivery...error code 4

    hi ,
i created a stock transfer order.
    an outbound delivery was created.
    pgi was done..
gr was done against this delivery.
but this gr was then cancelled.
now when i am doing gr against this outbound delivery.
    i get this eror message.
Goods receipt not possible for delivery 1134930096: error code 4
i have then reversed PGI of this delivery in vl09.
    then did PGI again.
    but still same error message.
    please help.
    regards
    shashank

    Hi,
When system gave you the message with the error code 4, you can click on the message.
There may be various reasons for the error of GRn agaist delivery -
    1) GRN already posted against the Delivery
    2) Delivery is deleted
    3) Delivery is currently processed by another user
System gives you the detailed analysis aling with the codes. You can check what reason is mentioned for reason code 4.

  • Packing is not allowed for inbound Delivery

    Hi guys
I was trying to pack the delivery item in inbound delivery with Pack function in delivery object before posting GR against Inbound Delivery. Though I have maintained customizing settings like this Inbound Delivery category ( ELN) is relavant for packing control. and created a packing material master record with packing material type and packing material group.
Here i am showing the screen shot with msg when I execute pack function in inbound Delivery object.
( Remember SLoc is WM Enabled...If I try to create a TO ....i am able to create against Inbound Delivery but not allowing me to pack)
Appreciate your inputs on this ..
    ( See attached link)

    Hi,
I cannot see the attached link and I don't think it it is necessary.
It would be better if you described your process step-by-step (very shortly and clearly), and if you posted the exact error message with its ID (provided you have error message).
    Thanks,

  • Batch is not copy from inbound delivery

batch number is enter in inbound delivery but when perform MIGO - Inbound delivery, the batch is not copy over ( shows blank )
    anyone know the reason?

    Hi Sasy,
The vendor batch in the purchase order has preference over the vendor batch in the inbound delivery. The vendor batch in the purchase order is the one which is always updated in MCHA.
If there is not any vendor batch in the purchase order and this is only specified in the inbound delivery then, the system behaviour depends on the transaction used for the posting of the receipt :
If the receipt is posted with the shipping transactions VL31N/VL32N, MCHA-LICHA is updated with the vendor batch in the inbound delivery.
If the receipt is posted with the inventory management transaction MIGO, MCHA-LICHA is not updated. The vendor batch in the inbound delivery is not considered. MCHA-LICHA remains empty.

  • GR in MIGO not updated in Inbound Delivery

    Experts,
    I did as below.
Create a PO-> Create IBD (VL31N)->MIGO (GR against IBD)--> TR and TO Auto Created> TO Confirmed---> Putaway completed in WM.
    So far so good:)
My problem is, nothing is updated in Inbound Delivery(also in doc flow).  I can still create a TO and PGR for IBD.
Am I missing some thing in config?  I welcome your any inputs on this.
    Regards,
    Shetty

    Hi Shetty,
Please check the purchase order, whether purchase order history tab is generated in item detail. Also check the confirmation control Tab If inbound delivery shipping notofication has been updated with inbound delivery.
It  above criteria like PO history tab and confirmation control is not updated then It seems to be program error  of update

  • Confirmation Control Key in PO update not possible with partial delivery

    Hi gurus,
When I do a MIGO that a partial quantity of a PO and after, I will want confirm the rest of quantity of this position in ME22N, system doesn't allow add a confirmation!!
Confirmations only are posible if all quantity is pending???
    Thank you!!
I will reward points all answers!!

    Hi Daniel,
The confirmation functionality is used to get better visibility & control over the goods receipts. Due to this requirement, when you work with confirmations, the system will not propose any quantity for MIGO unless any confirmations are entered in the PO. Also, MIGO will propose only such quantity for which the confirmation is entered.
Now you will have two options:
    1. If confirmation is mandt, then the Conf reqd check-box must be checked during ME21N. This will restrict the GR for confirmations only.
    2. If confirmation is not mandt, then confirmation will not be possible after partial GR.
    Hope this is helpful.
    Cheers.

  • Using Different inbound delivery type?

    Dear experts,
In the goods receipts process we currently are using the standard inbound delivery type "EL" with the standard item category ELN, which is not "Relevant for putaway".
We are assessing the possibility of start using WM in one of our plants. So, I found out that the we should be using a item category (in the inbound delivery) with the field "Relevant for putaway" flagged. Like, for example, the standard WIDN (maybe together with the standard inbound delivery type WID). But only at those plants with WM!
The issue is that as far as I know the inbound delivery type determination depends on the "Internal Confirmation Categories":
So for the type "2 Shipping Notification" only one delivery type can be chosen, how are we suppose to do it plant dependent?
It looks like a unique delivery type should be used in the client?
    Thanks in advanced,
    Fortian
P.S.: I already read SAP notes 214604 & 201655 but they are not being helpful so far... Maybe I'm missing something.

From your post I understand that the current plants are IM managed.
So for these plants the put away relevancy will not have any effect so if you enable the put away relevancy for the EL delivery type there will be no impact on the IM plants and for the WM plant the put away will be relevant.
Now the usage of the put away relevancy will also depend on which transaction you are using for posting a goods receipt. If you post via VL32N then you will first have to perform the put away step and then the GR posting. If you use the MIGO/MIGO_GR transaction then the goods receipt in WM will also be posted before the put away happens.

  • Batch needs to be created 1st then post goods receipt with inbound delivery

    Hi,
We are having split valuated materials with batch managed, we need to post goods receipt with inbound delivery.
When we create inbound delivery with PO batch is blank which is correct.
Now when we try to post GR with IBD in VL32N we need to put batch, but we are getting error message as batch is not available in receiving plant.
In this case we have to create batch 1st with MSC1N and then we can put batch number in Vl32N and can post GR.
If material is not split valuated we can put batch manualy(Without creation in MSC1N) in VL32N and it is allowing to post GR with batch.
Can you please let me know this behaviour, is there any SAP note available about this behaviour.
    Thanks
    Sudhir

    Hi Uwe,
Can an inbound WHSCON IDoc used for doing both the goods receipt in the PO and the update of the message flow in the delivery?
The binary answer would be no. You should use WMMBXY or MBGMCR instead.
But if we are doing goods receipt against Inbound delivery then answer is YES with additionally E1EDL18-QUALF = 'PIC' populated. But please remember no partial receipt is possible against Inbound Delivery.
We should populate E1EDL20-VBELN with our Inbound delivery number and line item info should go to E1EDL24.
I have done a similar interface recently where we are doing receipt against Inbound delivery. But our case was a bit complex because we had to support against Inbound delivery. So we had to go for a custom solution on top of IDOC_INPUT_DELVRY.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have more questions.

  • Post Goods Receipt for Inbound Delivery using WHSCON IDoc

    Dear All
Currently I am working on a big project dealing with EDI connections to our logistics partner for the Export business. The entire message flow between Lindt and our partner should be via EDI. Our SAP release is (still) 4.6c.
We will create two kinds of despatch advice messages, one for inbound deliveries and one for outbound deliveries for customers.
I would appreciate your support in the following problem that I am facing with the inbound delivery scenario:
We create stock transport orders (purchase orders, POs) for the goods intended to be delivered into the plant at our partner
We create a delivery (type NL = replenishment delivery) for this POs
As soon as we post the goods issue we send the despatch advice (as EANCOM D96A DESADV message) to our partner.
At this point the delivery is basically completed, i.e. packing status (PS) and goods movement status (GM / GS) are equal to 'C' (= completed).
Our logistics partner uses the same EDI message to send us the goods receipts data, e.g.:
    We dispatched 50 units of a product => QTY:50:12
The partner received indeed 50 units => QVR:50:66
Please note that we do not use the QVR segment for the quantity difference (between despatched and received quantity) but it contains the received units. This way we avoid negative values in the QVR segment.
When the logistics partner sends back the DESADV message containing the received quantities (QVR segment) we want to make
the goods receipts for the products in the original stock transport order and
upate the message flow in the delivery
My idea was to transform the incoming DESADV message into a WHSCON.DELVRY03 IDoc based on the documentation in: [Delivery Interface|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm40/helpdata/en/e2/654b15a9f411d184ec0000e81ddea0/content.htm]
In the delivery header control E1EDL18 I used QUALF = 'PGI' (Post goods issue).
I prepared an inbound WHSCON IDoc according to the documentation mentioned below. I managed to get some feedback from the Idoc processing implying that the system tried to do the goods receipt in the PO but failed.
To make a long story short here are my questions:
Can an inbound WHSCON IDoc used for doing both the goods receipt in the PO and the update of the message flow in the delivery?
Does anybody have an example on how to fill the WHSCON IDoc?
    Or is my approach a cul-de-sac ?
    Kind Regards
       Uwe

  • Add material to Inbound Delivery

    Dear SAP Guru,
I have a question from my client.
As for Transfer Order creation, we used Inbound Delivery as reference document. But in some cases when the material arrived from Vendor, some materials are not in the Inbound Delivery.
Can we add a new material to Inbound Delivery and the material is reference to Purchase Order Line Item as Predesessor Data.
Thanks in advanced for any reply
    Best Regards,
    Sugiharto

    Hi,
From a business point of view, you dont want this:
    the vendor just ships stuff that you've never ordered and you just allow this;
    even if you agree to keep the stuff, the vendor will send an invoice for this and without a PO, you dont have a reference;
The normal process would be, put the stuff in the 902, check whether you want to keep the stuff or not and add the materials to the PO and create an additional inbound delivery. You could also do a GR in blocked stock for this.
But in case you really wna this, go to customizing of the delivery type and set there that there is no need for a reference to a PO. This will allow you to add items or create inbound deliveries without reference to a PO.

  • Delivery date in inbound delivery

    Hi
    WE have the following scenario
WE create a inter-company STO.  Outbound delivery is created against STO and then we do PGI.
Suppose planned delivery dt of OBD is 10-jan-2011 and actual PGI is done on 18-jan-2011.
After PGI we create inbuound delivery in receiving plant.  In inbound delivery, we are getting delivery date as planned delivery date of outbound delivery i.e. 10-jan-2011.  But we want actual PGI date i.e. 18-jan-2011 in delivery date of inbound delivery.
is it possible?  Please suggest how can we do this?

    Hi,
I think the issue is not related to inbound delivery. Because you probably would not only have delivery date at inbound delivery equal to PGI date. Instead it should be PGI+transit time. Hence, I believe what you should focus is to get planned delivery date corrected at your outbound delivery during PGI.
I do not think standard config supports rescheduling of planned dates at delivery during PGI (even if you setup rescheduling type 'A' at your delivery type). But you can always call SD_SCHEDULING FMs to get new delivery dates and get those posted from outbound to inbound deliveries.

  • Inbound delivery quantity update with the confirm putaway quantity

even if i set up the update indicator (1or 2) during a TO confirmation, the system do not update the inbound delivery with the quantity confirmed, especialy in case of difference.
this option is possible during the TO creation, but not works with during the TO confirmation, could you help me?

It works with the outbound delivery only.
Though updating quantities in inb. delivery would be very useful for quantity difference handling.

  • Call transaction 'VL33N' on click of Inbound delivery number  in ALV List.

    Hi,
My ALV output is having Inbound delivery number.
If user clicks on one of the Inbound delivery it has to call transaction VL33N and display the user selected document.
    Code:
    WHEN '&IC1'.
    IF rs_selfield-fieldname = 'VBELN'.
            READ TABLE gt_final INTO wa_final INDEX rs_selfield-tabindex.
            if wa_final-vbeln is not initial.
              FREE MEMORY ID 'VL'.
SET PARAMETER ID 'VL' FIELD WA_FINAL-VBELN.
CALL TRANSACTION 'VL33N' AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN.
            ENDIF.
          ENDIF.
I am setting the parameter id 'VL' by passing Inbound Delivery number. After that it is calling VL33N Screen but the Inbound delivery number is blank. In debugging i can see the SAP memory for 'VL' as the selected document number.
Why VL value is not  transferred to Inbound Delivery number field in VL33 Eventhough Parameter id having value.

    Hi,
    Removed Free statement.
          IF rs_selfield-fieldname = 'VBELN'.
            READ TABLE gt_final INTO wa_final INDEX rs_selfield-tabindex.
            if wa_final-vbeln is not initial.
SET PARAMETER ID 'VL' FIELD rs_selfield-value.
CALL TRANSACTION 'VL33N' AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN.
            ENDIF.
          ENDIF.
In background VL is passing to VL03N Transaction instead of VL33N.
Outbound delivery and Inbound Delivery both are assigned to same paramer id.
Don't undestand if i'm calling VL33N Why the paramer value is passed to Outbound delivery transaction VL03N.
    Please suggest me.
