Put computer to sleep and now it wont wake up
Last night i set up my new desktop and i program it to need a password every time i need to login. so when i put my computer to sleep last night and when i got up this morning it wont wake up. I turned it off and restarted it but when i turned it back on my monitor said that it has no signal, my mouse and keypad isn't working. What can i do to make everything work again
Look at the back of the monitor and check video connections. You should only have 1 video cable connected. You just have to choose from VGA, DVI or HDMI.

Try doing a hard reset on the phone;
1. Hold Home and Sleep/Wake buttons at the same time;
2. Wait for the Apple logo to appear (ignore the slide to Power Off option)
3. Let go of the buttons when you see Apple on the screen
4. Allow iPhone to reboot;
If that doesn't work; you will have to try a restore in iTunes; -

I hope that someone will be able to help me. The other night after using my computer I put it in to standby mode. The next day when I tried to wake it up it didn't respond. I tried everything that I could think of and in the end turned off the power supply using the switch on it. It finally booted up but I noticed some odd behavior right away. When I moved the mouse around it would suddenly stop in one place on the screen and the symbol would change from the pointer to the working symbol. It would then suddenly jump and catch u to where I moved it on the pad. I thought that the driver for it may have messed up so I tried to reinstall it but the computer just sat there with the working symbol showing. I used task manager to close the program then thought that maybe it wasn't a mouse problem but maybe a memory one instead. I ran windows memory tester and didn't get any errors then again rebooted the computer. It gave me a long beep and two short ones then just sat there with a black screen. The motherboard ativity LEDs all just stay lit but nothing else happens, it never even gets to the BIOS. I have tried swapping out the power supply as well as the video cards and hard drives. I have also tested these parts in another system. I tried boting up with only 1 stick of memory and swapping that ne with the other as well and still no starting this thing. I do not know what to try now. I don't have an extra motherboard, cpu, or mrmory to try. Does anyone have any ides? Thanks, Mitch
With swapping parts in & out & around, along with the original wake problem, recommend removing the PSU power cord, removing the battery for awhile, & clearing CMOS. If clearing CMOS gets it back to working, check the System Information for the UEFI version. With a non OC'd & stable system, it may then help to update to the newest version.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

You buy one download and one download only, it is your responsibility to backup your music.
it has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer. Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod: File>Transfer Purchases -
My iTunes v.10.6.3.25 is intermittently refusing to open. Sometimes re-booting my laptop works, sometimes not. I just put the computer to sleep, and when I woke it up, iTunes started automatically (I had been trying to open it just before by clicking on a song file in my Documents window, and that's the song that started playing when the pc woke up). I went to my iTunes Help and clicked Updates/download iTunes 10.7 twice, but got nothing. Now, Im wondering if I should downloacd the entire 10.7, or whether that would overwrite all my files, erasing my songs. Anybody know? Thanks.

Here's what I did:
First I tried the Winsock reset in the Command prompt. Nothing changed.
Next, I tried the instructions on http://http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4123. The only other program that came up on the 'Winsock Providers' tab on the program was 2 Windows Live applications, which I can do without. So I deleted all Windows Live Applications.
I did the Winsock reset in the Command Prompt again and rebooted my comp.
Unfortunately, nothing has changed. iTunes keeps freezing at various stages of the sync, then shows the candy cane-striped bar with either the words 'Finishing sync' or 'Cancelling sync', before showing the Apple logo.
Sometimes, iTunes gets to the syncing stage - "Copying # of ####" - where it will trudge through the first, second and third tracks before flashing "Copying 4 of ####" for a split second and I catch "Cancelling sync" briefly before the Apple logo appears.
Again, I've repeated the steps I mentioned in my previous post. Does ANYONE know when the new version of iTunes is set to be released?! This one is driving me INSANE, to say the least!! -

iTunes told me to delete my backup folder when I was having problems syncing my phone to my computer. After that it wouldn't work at all. After trying and trying I deleted iTunes when it said "iTunes could not back up iPhone because the backup could not be saved on the computer"and now it wont let me install it again and keeps saying "itunes cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in the cabinet ". What the **** itunes? Nothing is working!!
I wanted to update my iTunes so I could sync my phone to my computer and update my phones software so I can use the latest apps that need a 4.2 or higher.
This is not fun for me so if anyone knows what I can do to fix this please help. Is it possible to download the "cabinent file" with the lastest iTunes?

My phone is the iPhone4 and my computer is a Windows VistaI doubt that corrupt files are the problem. It is more likely a space or permissions issue. Is the hard-drive on which iTunes is stored close to capacity? Do you (or the particular user profile you have logged on with) have the requisite permissions to save to that drive?
Otherwise, do you get an error code? This might point us in the right direction. -
i took my phone off the charger and wifi while it was updating and now it wont let me on the phone nor my computer and it just has the apple icon on the screen. how do i get it to finish updating or turn on?

I couldn't find the edit button on my original post so I am posting an update here.
I have gone through more apps and have had good luck on all but one more. And it's not that the app doesn't work, I am talking about the Yahoo Weather app, It works fine, but when you swipe between cities the screen lags a bit and it sometimes doesn't move between pages the way it should. On iOS 7.1.2 it was smooth as butter but on iOS 8.0, not so much. I will post a note in the app store to let them know. I really like the Yahoo app better than the new stock app.
I have been going through my games and they all work fine. Angry Birds (Original and Stella), Canabalt, Minecraft, Bejeweled 2, Silly Walks, PopWords, Doodle Jump, Deep Green all seem to work just fine.
Starbucks app works as it should.
I will stop back again next week after I have had the weekend to play with it in detail and post my thoughts again. -
I did update on phone and now it wont even turn on... It shows the charger being plugged into I tunes.... At this point I am not sure if I need to just do a factory reboot or what....AT this point I cant do anything through phone... It has to be done by my computer ... Anyone know how... I am so stressed I am on call with no phone just a pager....Not good..... Please help thanks heidi
