Put Flash Video on an iPod?

Has anyone tried to sabve Flash Video files (flv) so that they can be imported to an iPod?
Thx,

The iPod cannot play flash video. It can only play video that meets the following requirements:
H.264 video: up to 768 Kbps, 320 x 240, 30 frames per sec., Baseline Profile up to Level 1.3 with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 Khz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4 and .mov file formats
MPEG-4 video: up to 2.5 mbps, 480 x 480, 30 frames per sec., Simple Profile with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 Khz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4 and .mov file formats
You'd have to find a way to convert the flash movie into some compatible format that meets the specifications above.

Is there a way at all to put music videos in your ipod nano?

No. The nano is not capable of video playback. You would need the fifth-generation full sized iPod for that.

  • Steps to putting a video onto the ipod

Can someone please tell me step by step on how to put a video onto an ipod and include every detail please?

well, if you buy a video from itunes and have your ipod on automatic update, it should automatically go into your ipod once you plug it in.
if you plan to put a dvd you have into the ipod, then here is a more detailed guide about encoding etc.

  • How do you put homemade videos on an iPod using Windows???

I'm so annoyed. I spent my only phone support call to Apple trying to figure out how to get a home made video clip onto my Video iPod and they have no idea unless you are a Mac user. I have successfully put DVDs on the iPod using DVD Decrypter and Nero Recode but if you want to export a small clip, from Adobe Preimere for example, it seems impossible. Can anyone help???? I have exported a clip from Premiere and it says it's a Quicktime file but when I open the file in Quicktime Pro and "export to iPod" it will be rejected after dragging it to the iPod Library. There are programs to help you complete this task if you are a Mac user but I can't find any solution for PC. Any suggestions? I just want to be able to take a segment of video I made on a minidv camcorder and put it on the iPod. I know how to capture and edit it using Premiere but how do I save/export the clip in a file format that Quicktime and/or the iPod will recognize?

There are many options that work great for windows users. I personnaly use "Video Vault for the IPOD". My home movies where captured to the hard drive as MPEG 2. The above software will accept just about any file (DVIx, XVId AVI, DV, MPEG 1/2, WMV, Realplayer etc.) and format and convert for you. I have over 280 video files currently on my IPOD. The software is not freeware, but you get a good product for your money. It will automatically transfer the file when complete to your IPOD. Music videos take about 1 minute to convert from WMV format. TV shows in MPEG 2 format take about 6 minutes and a 2 hour movie takes about 48 minutes. It has a very fast encoder and keeps your audio and video streams in perfect snyc. Use Google and you can download a trial to try it out. It is really easy to convert videos to your IPOD. You just need the right software. I see so many MAC users stating that us "Windows" users have so few options other than "Videora". While MAc's have some very good software programs, so do we, you just need to find the right one. Good luck and stay positive. Don't hesitate if you need more help to post back.

  • Putting Flash Video Online

Have a limited time to get up a site...really having trouble
with Flash Video...I think I know where I am stuck...I seem to have
no trouble encoding and publishing videos, I think where I am going
wrong is when I use the component inspecter to add a 'content
path'...I am stumped because Im not sure where exactly this path is
supposed to go! I have my own server online where I am uploading
all my HTML files...If anybody could explain in really simple terms
where this path is supposed to go, (Ex: where the file will be
uploaded to, the address of the file when it has been uploaded
etc...) I dont seem to be having any luck with this...was also
hoping for some more help if anybody knew how to link to a flash
video, so it would pop up in its own window without going to
another page...I have a list of video descriptions on my html
webpage...and along the list are thumbnail images, i am hoping that
when they are clicked on, the flash video will pop up, and voila!
    My mission will be complete...
Thanks to any kind souls who help me, you have much gratitude
    coming your way!!!

  • Why can I not put home videos on my ipod?

The videos are in mp4 format and I can select them in the movies section but when i go to videos on my ipod there not there.

    See:
iTunes: May be unable to transfer videos to iPhone, iPad, or iPod
iTunes: Frequently asked questions about viewing and syncing videos
You may have to convert them to a format compatible with the iPod. There are many variations of the MP4 format and all are not compatible with the iPod.
You man need a third-party program like the free HandBreak to convert them

  • How to put Flash video game onto inDesign PDF file and Website page or link?!

I am making a video game using Adobe Flash 2.0. I need to be able to show what I have through a website (my portfolio) and/or insert it into an interactive Indesign PDF file. The game needs to be able to be played and be used and tested by whoever I send the pdf file to, or whoever is would be view my the site I post it on. I have attempted many different ways to put my game onto my website (cargocollective) and Indesign, but nothing is working! I need help.
For example I need my game to be placed on the website page, and on the pdf document as an image. When it is clicked on I need it to start so people can play the game. I don't know how to do this and I would really love and need to know how! Thanks.

Flash should be able to publish an html page which will provide the web page code needed for embedding the swf.  The page it publishes should be sufficient for planting on a server unless you plan to dress it up with other content as well.
As far as incorporating Flash content into a PDF using InDesign goes, you are best to ask questions about using InDesign in the InDesign forum.  Here is a link to the Overview page whee you can pick which forum applies best to your situation:

  • Putting misic videos on to ipod help

hi there i have a ipod thats plays music videos well i know how to download the ones i purchased from itune but itunes dont have mush choice in videos so i found a website called share360 i payed a one off fee and downloaded my favourite music videos then i dragged them into my top rated in itunes but they wont go onto my ipod can this be done

HD is not just one type of video file. There is a 720p version and a 1080p version. I ahve a ist generation iPad and I can only put 720p movies on it not 1080p
If you downloaded form itunes then you need to go into preferences, Store
Select from the drop box When Downloading High Definition Videos, prefer 720p
    Click OK
Then go to itunes store. Click on the Purchased link under Quick links on the right
Select TV Shows and find the TV Show you want. It will have a cloud icon by the side of it just click on that and it will download the 720p version at no extra cost
Then when you choose to sync your Iphone will automatically get the 720p version rather than the 1080p version which does not work.
You do not need to delete the 1080p version as itunes manages both side by side and only syncs the version your device can handle.

  • Why won't iTunes let me put my video on my iPod?

I downloaded some music videos from Limewire, and trannsferred them to iTunes. It says it's a Quicktime file and it will play in iTunes, but when I try to put them on my iPod, it says they cannot be played on this iPod. Is there a way I can do this?

it has to be mp4 or h.264 format. just because it says it's quicktime doesn't mean your iPod can play it. And the formats have to be within the parameters that the iPod will play. Here is a good guide
