Put Razor-Qt in the official repository.

Hi,
Razor-Qt has well released the 0.4 version which(I think!) is quite stable. To keep up this razor-edge, I think, razor-qt should be pushed into the official repositories. Its' much cooler and lighter window manager all in Qt.

must be compiled also (since most are in AUR), in the end it does take some time to make it work with the same functionality as lxde for example, but lxde is now in a package group, it makes it a lot faster! It is a shame no TU wants to take care of this, as of today it works great on my old laptop, but I'm still compiling apps to make it fully functional, I've spent two days and not finished yet (got other things to do also), but I'm pretty happy with my setup so far, and I'm running it from a 4GB usb! (installed no usb-live) And in my experience (I'm no expert here lol!) using AUR is not always reliable, one may get errors and while I like to learn, I'd like packages so popular could be included in the official repos more easily, If any of you know of a community repo for razor-qt please let us know, I've found none.
I also tryied installing trinity 3.5.12 with no succes but that is another story, I can't imagine how long it would take for me to compile the whole latest version 3.5.14.

The Em Key is not configured properly or is corrupted in the file system and doe s not exist in the Management Repository.

I'm getting this error and is there any way to resolve this without re-creating the service/s again, etc. Just curious if there are any suggestions/steps I may have missed, if not, I'll drop and recreate the services again

Why it is popular applications are not included in the official repo?

Why it is very popular applications like yaourt (GPL), pacman-color (GPL) and many other free programs are not included in the official repositories?
Why not create an official "non-free" repository for popular non-free software?

There will never be an AUR helper in the official repositories because it runs counter to the AUR policy - which is: it's unsupported, so we're not facilitating its use. You need to be aware about the potential drawbacks of its usage, which involves getting you, the user, to make that call to install an AUR helper - which involves more than just calling pacman. Can't comment on pacman-colour, but apart from colour, it doesn't really add any functionality afaik .

FTP adapter failing sometimes, msg:Error connecting to the OAI Repository

I have imported a dump due to curropt metadata definition. The import was successful without any warning/error.
I have recreated the event , but when I am testing the same, getting following error in the FTP adapter, though the adadpter is started successfully, connecting to hub /repository, still trowing below errror when it translates a file:
Sometimes it works when the adadpter is killed & restarted.
Ususally happening when a new event is created & run for the first time...

In same context, what I observed is that the FTP adapter throws above error if a file is send again for translation...ie; when i try to use the same file for testing putingit in FTO dir , FTP adapter hangs throwing above error.
Even after few runs of other files.
Is it something related to the security feature of the product which prohibits sending the contents of message if the same contents are send previously?
Actullay I had never faced such issue before & use to do the testing with same file itself.
oai_agent_error has following entry in internalid column:
MetadataManager_RepositoryConnectionErrorWithoutOID
When I kill the adapter, the same msg is picked up by the subcribing adadpeter(dbadapter) & puts the data into the table.
Tough I m fixing the above issue as below:
1- kill the FTP adapter
2- remove its entries in componentinfo table.
3-deleting all rows in oai_hub_queue.
4- stop other adapters.
5- Stopping & restarting the repository again.
Still not sure whether error throwing by adapter is expected functionality in iStudio, or something is missing in the setting done in my setup?

How to include BC documentation in the metadata repository

Currently, my bw 3.5 system doesn't display the business content documentation in the metadata repository, the one available in the help.sap.com sitie.
In the sap documentation is stated:
"To include SAP Content documentation in the online documentation generated for metadata objects, it must be installed in plain html http format for static help and using a Web server. The Content documentation can then be read by the Web server from any front end platform using the http protocol, and displayed in a Web browser.
You can find additional information about maintaining setting variants for online help (transaction SR13) in the Business Information Warehouse Implementation Guide (IMG), under the node General BW Settings ® Settings for Displaying SAP Content Documentation."
however I can figure out how to put the bc documentation in my metadata repository

I think is not possibl because if you want to open the web pages of help.sap is requered that your SAP system would have http connection directly to internet and at least by a security issue no recommended.....

The Official Unofficial 'Arch is Best' Thread

(Arch is the best distro ever...)
...at least for me. i know that one should not make claims that this or that distro is the best os. my past 2,5 years have been a constant distro hopping. i've tried tons of distros, the only one that comes close to arch is gentoo, but my thinkpad is not that powerful (866mhz/256 mb ram) to wait for software to compile.
if there wasn't arch, i'd probably buy a mac. this is my third time with arch, but i don't think i'm going anywhere.
so please keep up the good work, i wish that the archlinux project goes on as long as possible (forever? )

Arch needs a little more polishing(pacman errors on upgrading) and stop its "let's put things in thousands of different repos(AUR unsupported/community, TURs, current, extra, testing, unstable and never integrate OFFICIALLY things waited for months". (Yes I'm exaggerating)
For example, azureus is waiting to be in the official repos, at least in community...
What I also do not understand, is why devs have not yet built a structure so that devs can massively join the distro...
Apart from that, sure it is one of the most impressive distro I've seen so far, next only to Ubuntu.
I'm now trying(and really like) Sarge and I'm waiting for a Arch 1.0 release !!!

I will briefly explain the scenario:
I have created return po.
Process MIGO w.r.t. return PO- Material document generated.
Process: J1IS - excise invoice other movement create.
--> Now I want to print the document --> I m trying with T-code J1IP --> entered all the required data --. Used out put type - J1I0
But I am not getting the list of document for printing and even print is not coming.
There is no print document getting for a printing.
When I checked in an above said table (mentioned in question), I found that for transaction type OTHR, there is no number ranges defined for official document no.
And because of this reason I m not getting any document in the print.
Can you Pl extend Ur help and Pl suggest me where (path or transaction) the number ranges can be maintained for the official excise document No.

For those who might be interested in methods for "bulk" changing the apex repository, especially for medium large applications, i wrote a few queries that may come in handy for common problems like :
- "how to change template on all labels currently set to "Optional"?
- "how to quickly delete a region with a given name from multiple pages in one shot?"
- "how to check if there are items or buttons attached to a region?"
and stuff like that...
The list of queries that i initially supplied is supposed to grow in the future.
Of course this kind of practice is absolutely unsupported, officially discouraged, so, use at your own risk.

Your post didn't appear to set session state anywhere, which tends to screw things up.
ie. your objects "disappear" from your workspace and get reassigned to flow_id 0.
I always do the following before any changes:

Streamlining the Portal Repository

Hi!
Here is my problem. I need to limit the number of portlets that users see when they customize a page or tab.
What I have done is to create a "Private" folder in the portal repository with security and have moved all of the portlets that users should not see to this folder.
This can be a tedious process if you have a lot of portlets and all new portlets will need to be manually moved to this folder.
Is there a better way to do this?

Starting in 3.0.8, when you add a provider it automatically get's put in it's own subfolder. If you can afford to delete your current providers, you can then re-add them to create the subdirectories. However, deleting the providers will break the link to portlets that are already on your pages.
In 3.0.9, which is targeted to a June release, we have a new bulk actions interface that will allow you to copy or move multiple items in a single step. That should solve your problem, if you can wait for that release.

Thunderbird version outdated in Official repository

Hello, everyone! I wish somebody could tell me why thunderbird version in official repository is so outdated.
Newest version provided by Mozilla is 38.0.1
But the version in Arch repositories is 31.7.0-1. That's an obvious lag behind!
I'm complaining this because I found the 31.7.0-1 version don't have some features I need. Most notably Rich Text Edit is not present in 31.7.0-1

Re-mapping the iTunes Repository..

I have a user on my network that has installed iTunes for her iPod.
When she installed it she somehow managed to tell iTunes to install the "repository" of her music onto a mapped network share.
I need to undo this and tell it to keep it's music locally on her laptop.
Any idea's on how to re-set where it keeps the music?

By default, iTunes puts its music in the "My Music" directory, which is in "My Documents". You can change this through the iTunes Preferences screen (last tab). This will not move the existing music to the new location though. The Consolidate function will copy the music from its current location to the new location as well as updating the iTunes library properly. You'll then have to delete the old copy of the music afterwards.
