Put region in header?

I have an application. It works fine. I am using 2-level tabs. The parent tabs are right-justified and I would like to put a small region left-justified on the same line. Specifically I want to do a query of a table to get the date of the last update and put "LAST UPDATED: MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM:SS". I have been able to put a report in page section 6 which is upper-left. But I can't seem to get it to not show column heading and format as I want it. The region is too obvious - I just want it to look like text and not a real region. I keep getting close but can't seem to get where I want to be. Any thoughts?

Any thoughts? Rather than creating a full-on report, try using the query as the source for a application item or shortcut referenced in an HTML region with No Template.

  • Retrieve the message put in message header using variable substitution

    hi,
    i am using dynamic configuration to put some information in the message header.is it possible to retrieve the message using variable substitution and if it is possible then how it be done using variable substitution.
    regards,
    Meenakshi

    Variable Substitution does not allow you to read all the messaeg header elements only some of them can be read/ access....for more info on how to read the message header elements refer: /people/jin.shin/blog/2007/04/27/sap-netweaver-xi-variable-substitution-with-adapter-specific-message-attributes-via-dynamicconfigurationbean
    From the above blog:
    When using Variable Substitution, only certain standard message header attributes can be used/accessed (e.g. sender_party,
    sender_service, receiver_party, receiver_service, interface_name, interface_namespace, message_id)
    Better use Dynamic Configuration to read the parameters.
    I am wondering why you need to read the message header parameters when you are putting them using Dynamic Configuration.....cant you just get the details from the dynamic configuration UDF itself?

  • Put Date Before Header Line in Receiver FCC

    Hi,
    I have to create a csv file with format :
    Date : dd/mm/yyyy to dd/mm/yyyy
    PRODUCT_CODE,NAME,ADDRESS
    123,ABC,xyz
    123,ABC,xyz
    123,ABC,xyz
    123,ABC,xyz
    123,ABC,xyz
    How should i achieve putting the date before header line?
    What should be my target structure format?
    What parameters to enter in receiver FCC?

    Hi,
    have you tried..
    Have you tried:
    (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/e3/94007075cae04f930cc4c034e411e1/frameset.htm)
    ● NameA.enclosureSign
    Specify a string that acts as a text delimiter.
    Text enclosed by such delimiters is transferred to the target structure unchanged, although the default setting is to remove all text delimiters. Separators within such texts are ignored.
    This parameter is optional. The default setting is an empty value (no text delimiter).
    ● NameA.enclosureSignEnd
    If the text delimiters for the beginning and end of the text are different, specify the text delimiter for the end of the text here.
    If you do not make an entry here, the entry from NameA.enclosureSign is used.
    ● NameA.enclosureSignEscape
    Specify a string that replaces the text delimiter if it occurs within a text that it delimits.
    When the text is transferred the string is replaced by the value specified in NameA.enclosureSign .
    ● NameA.enclosureSignEndEscape
    Specify a string that replaces the text delimiter for the end of the text if it occurs within a text that it delimits.
    When the text is transferred the string is replaced by the value specified in NameA.enclosureSignEnd.
    ● NameA.enclosureConversion
    To remove the delimiter upon transfer, or to replace it with escape characters, enter YES. This is the default value.
    To transfer the characters unchanged enter NO.
    Note
    If you specify xml.enclosureSign=“ and xml.enclosureSignEsc=““, text enclosed in quotation marks is transferred unchanged and the quotation marks are removed.
    If the escape character for a quotation mark (““) occurs in the text itself, it is replaced by the quotation mark during the transfer.

    Vijaya.

  • Optional editable regions in head

    I'm trying to create a master template that will enable me to
    include or not include cross-fading photographs in pages based on
    that template.
    I know that with DW8 I can insert an editable region in the
    <head> (ie for description, keywords).
    I know that with DW8 I can insert an optional region in the
    <body> to show/hide content.
    But can I insert an optional editable region in the
    <head>?
    I want to have the option of including a javascript file in a
    <script> tag in the <head> of pages created from the
    template and if I exercise the option to include it in the
    <head>, I also want to be able to edit and change the name of
    the javascript file.
    All the help I've seen only talks about optional regions in
    the <body>.
    Do I use optional editable regions for this, or do it some
    other way?
    Urgent help appreciated - I'm stuck!
    DW8 | XHTML | CSS

    > But can I insert an optional editable region in the
    <head>?
    Not by way of the DW user interface, no.
    But if you have a parameter called optionJS, with a type of
    URL, and a
    default value of "" (i.e., null), you could have this in your
    template
    document's head -
    @@(optionJS==""?'':'<script src="'+optionJS+'"
    type="text/javascript"></script>')@@
    Then in each child page, as long as you leave the parameter
    alone, no script
    tag is written to the head. But to get the script tag, you
    would just use
    MODIFY | Template Properties, select the optionJS parameter,
    and browse to
    and select the desired script file, and it'll be there....

  • Can't manually add editable regions to head in template

    When I created my main template in Dreamweaver CS6 for my website, I had copied most of the page code from another layout I already had, including the head code.  I did not realize there were already editable regions built into the head section of the Dreamweaver template and deleted them when I pasted my previous code without adding new ones.  I then added an editable region to the body and started created pages using the template.
    Everything works well and updates properly when I make changes to the template but now that I am trying to add those editable regions back to the head section so I can change the page title (and possibly add more responsive code), it doesn't work.  I copied and pasted the following code into my template file in Dreamweaver and it saves in the template telling me it's updating the related pages, but when I open those individual pages in Dreamweaver, the code isn't there and those regions are not editable; only the original editable region I created in the body exists and works properly.  Everything else continues to work perfectly.
    Here is the code I pasted into the head around the <title> tag:
    <!-- TemplateBeginEditable name="doctitle" -->
    <title>Collings Document Database</title>
    <!-- TemplateEndEditable -->
    And here is the code I pasted into the head just before the </head> tag:
    <!-- TemplateBeginEditable name="head" -->
    <!-- TemplateEndEditable -->
    </head>
    Any help would be appreciated.  From everything I've read on these forums after searching, it sounds like pasting that code should work but I continue to get the results mentioned.  Thank you.

    Thanks for the response.  I've run the template code through the validator and the following two errors are the only ones that showed up.  I don't see how either of these would cause this issue.  Thoughts?

  • ALV - putting itab as header

    Hi Guys,
    I would like to put the contents of an itab at the start of an ALV output as Element of Type Grid with gridlines.
    DATA it_spfli TYPE spfli_tab.
    SELECT * FROM spfli INTO TABLE it_spfli.
    Just as an example,I would like out put the "carrid" and "connid" fields of the itab as header info.
    Is there a way to do it.Is it performant?
    The reason why I want to do it is I need to have 2 different outputs on the same screen.
    The first one I thought - could be put in as an ALV header (The itab I mentioned above)and
    the second one in an ALV itself so that they could both be seen on the same screen.
    A sample code for the header itab would be great....
    Thanks
    P

    Hi,
    Here is another way to achieve this. This technique will display multiple ALV GRID's in one screen.
    1. First define 2 custom containers in your screen and name them accordingly say u201CCONT1u201D and u201CCONT2u201D.
    2. In your data declaration defines the variables say as below.
    DATA: g_container1 TYPE scrfname VALUE 'CONT1',
                        g_container2 TYPE scrfname VALUE 'CONT2',
                        grid1 TYPE REF TO cl_gui_alv_grid,
                        grid2  TYPE REF TO cl_gui_alv_grid,
                        g_custom_container1 TYPE REF TO cl_gui_custom_container,
                        g_custom_container2 TYPE REF TO cl_gui_custom_container.
    3. Now there is one main thing to understand u2013what is the use of the Class cl_gui_custom_container? Actually, the custom objects that one can see in the attached screen shot are two containers, which need to be attached with objects of type ref to cl_gui_custom_container by way of coding. Now on this container object will sit two alv grid containers and the alv grid containers will hold the data.
    4. Follow the below lines of code.
    * Create the custom container object and attachwith the screen container u2018CONT1u2019.
         IF g_custom_container1 IS INITIAL.
        CREATE OBJECT g_custom_container1
               EXPORTING container_name = g_container1.
    Now create the grid object: -
        CREATE OBJECT grid1
               EXPORTING i_parent = g_custom_container1.
    * Now call the method u2018SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAYu2019 and pass the required parameters.
       CALL METHOD grid1->set_table_for_first_display
          EXPORTING
            i_structure_name = 'MARA'
          CHANGING
            it_outtab        = gt_mara.   u201CThe internal table containing the data
      ENDIF.
    * Follow the same procedure for the other custom control also.
    IF g_custom_container2 IS INITIAL.
        CREATE OBJECT g_custom_container2
               EXPORTING container_name = g_container2.
        CREATE OBJECT grid2
               EXPORTING i_parent = g_custom_container2.
        CALL METHOD grid2->set_table_for_first_display
          EXPORTING
            i_structure_name = 'MARA'
          CHANGING
            it_outtab        = gt_mara.
      ENDIF.
    5. We can create as many grids as we need using the above technique.

  • How to put regions side by side in a single track? (LE 9)

    I've clipped about 20 or regions out of a very long track (track 1) and moving them to a new one (track 2). Is there a function that allows you to take those small clips in Track 2 and lay them out side by side, as opposed to dragging each one to the beginning.
    I'm pretty sure there is, but I obviously don't have the right word to use, because the LE help and the search engines are getting me nowhere.
    Thanks for any help

    This function does exist: in Arrange menu -> Regions -> Tie Regions by Position Change
    Select all regions on a track by clicking on a track header once. Then go to that command in the Regions menu That will do the trick.
    Note: with the cycle on it will only tie regions withing the cycle range, so disable cycle before doing that if you want to apply this command to all regions on a track

  • Get matrix row data and put it into header field with formatted search ???

    Hi All,
    I ask your help concerning the following:
    On an invoice matrix I want to check all Itemgroup Codes of all items in the rows, if there are some rows' items with ItemGroupcode 101 and some others with anything else, then header field should be Y, otherwise N.
    My main problem is: how do I put a matrix row data to a header data with checking all rows in the matrix?
    A minor problem is that I can't get the formatted search to work on all rows when the formatted search is assigned to the user field in header.
    If I put the formatted search to a row field then the row field is filled with the proper value, but the same query assigned to the user field in header works only on the first row.
    What am I doing wrong?
    SELECT USEDPROD= CASE T0.ItmsGrpCod  WHEN 101 THEN Y ELSE N END FROM .[OITM] T0 WHERE T0.ItemCode = $[$38.1.0]
    (SBO 7.6)
    Any suggestions are welcome.
    Thanks.
    Bálint

    Dear Adele,
    Thanks for the answer. The major one cannot be solved. OK, I'll try to get a workaround.
    However I still do not understand why my query does not work in all selected rows, just in the first row, i.e. if I assign the query to a header field and I'm positioned in the first row it's OK, but when I add a new item to the second row or any of the next rows, the header field is not updated at all.
    Why is that so? Do you have any idea?

  • Template editable regions in head

    Murray - as you always seem to answer questions on Templates:
    I'm troubleshooting a site for a friend who does not frequent
    this
    forum - they have a couple of editable regions in the
    <head> of the
    file - used for some Javascript and also the page title.
    Now I know that a properly formatted template has:
    separate editable region named name="doctitle" - er for the
    title and
    a second editable region named name="head" for other things.
    Does having
    <!-- InstanceBeginEditable name="EditRegion12" -->
    in the <head> matter - affect the functionality of Dw
    ??? - I know of
    course that in wouldn't matter as far as the server is
    concerned.
    many thanks

    Thanks Alan - I did think that would be the case - even if

    No - not 12 editable regions - no idea how that happened - -
    they only
    have three - two in the head and 1 in the body.
    I long ago moved to Dw - and details are hazy - but when I
    did a
    refresh of a site a couple of years ago - I created a brand
    new single
    template using File | New | Blank Template - so all

  • Templates - editable region in head

    I've got code that I would like to make a template, but it's
    in the head tag. I cann't make any portion of this an editable
    region. Also, any pages generated from the template don't allow me
    to edit anything in the head area. So if I want to have only a few
    items differ in the head area for several similar pages, does this
    mean I cann't use templates? Is there another way to do this?
    Maybe I could just use a bunch of server side includes and
    abondon templates butr this would inciate to me a serious design
    limit in templates.
    Here is my code in the head area that I'm trying to use as a
    template with an editable region. The margin-right, margin-left
    would have unique values for each page. Also the line "a.slidea
    {background:url(images/cats/sidney-small.jpg);}" would be unique
    for each page.
    Thanks

    a.slidei {background:url(images/cats/sidney-small.jpg);}
    a.slidej {background:url(images/cats/sidney-small.jpg);}

    This is the sign of an improperly made template.
    Do this -
    Create a new page (Basic HTML).
    Use FILE | Save as Template....
    Look at the code in the head region of the page, particularly
    the editable
    region around the <title> tag, and the other editable
    region in the head
    called "head".
    Make your template file look like that.
    Always use FILE | Save as Template when you create your
    templates and you
    won't have this problem again.

  • SOAP BODY data to be Put into SOAP Header

    Hi All,
    Could you kindly help me out in this issue?
    Basically our Requirement is to send the UserID and Password stored in
    the R/3 system to the 3rd Party Server as a part of the SOAP Header .
    Presently I am using a Message Interface which takes the parameters
    UserID and Password and hence its placing them in the SOAP BODY which in
    turn in resulting in Rejection of the data sent being us. So I guess we
    have to do some take out these parameters from Message Interface and
    try out something else.
    So Could you help us out in this issue since we are stuck  and hence not
    able to proceed any further.
    Here are some Details :
    Here is the extract from the XML File:
    A) Format in XI
      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <ns1:DPSrequestToken xmlns:ns1="http://tempuri.org/message/">
    - <Username>
      <Username>ANYAGENT</Username>
      <Password>p2ssword</Password>
      </Username>
    - <DPSrequestToken>
      <version>1</version>
      <vendorID>0142</vendorID>
      </DPSrequestToken>
      </ns1:DPSrequestToken>
    B) The way the file needs to be sent to the 3rd party server
    <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
         xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
    <SOAP-ENV:Header>
            <wsse:Security xmlns:wsse="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-wssecurity-secext-1.0.xsd">
                <wsse:UsernameToken>
                    <wsse:Username>ANYAGENT</wsse:Username>
                    <wsse:Password>p2ssword</wsse:Password>
                </wsse:UsernameToken>
            </wsse:Security>
    </SOAP-ENV:Header>
         <SOAP-ENV:Body>
              <m:DPSrequestToken xmlns:m="https://tpvs.hmrc.gov.uk/dpsauthentication">
                   <m:version>1</m:version>
                   <m:vendorID>your 4 digit vendorID</m:vendorID>
              </m:DPSrequestToken>
         </SOAP-ENV:Body>
    </SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
    Basically as mentioned above
      <Username>ANYAGENT</Username>
      <Password>p2ssword</Password> ,Tokens should be sent in the SOAP
    Header which is now being sent in the Body and hence causing problems.
    Do get back to me in case you need any clarifications on this issue.
    Best Regards,
