Putting a pic on top of background

Hey, want to put a pic of a dvd(round) on top of a background. Probably is, I only want the DVD and it is putting a box around it when I put it on background. I know I can mask the DVD, but is there another way to do it. Looks pretty cheesy with a box around the dvd. Thanks

Hi -
Put the background on V1.
Put the image of the DVD on V3.
Roughly position where you want the DVD to be (ignoring the box shape). When you have the DVD placed approximately where you want it to end up -
Mark an In at the start of the DVD image and an Out at the end.
From the Generator button (bottom right of Viewer, with the "A" on it, from the drop down menu select Shapes > Circle. This will load a white circle shape into the viewer.
Edit that Circle shape to V2, between V3 (the DVD image) and V1 (the background).
Now go to the DVD image clip on V3 and control-click on it. From the drop down menu choose Composite Mode > Travel Matte - Luma.
As soon as that is selected, you will see the shape on V2 cuts a hole for the video on V3. Now double click on the clip on V2, and position it so that the hole reveals the DVD as you positioned. If you click on the controls tab for the circle, You can adjust the softness of the border, as well as the size.
Since everything is separate, you can fine tune you placement of the DVD and it's corresponding hole cutter on V2 until you have everything the way you want.
Depending on the horsepower of your computer, you may have to render to see the effect playback.

I'm trying to do something pretty simple. I made some shapes using the "shapes" tool in the toolbar. I want to put one shape on top of (or in front of) another but it gives me the masking tool instead. I tried putting a shap in the background but that didn't work either. it tends to snap the shape I move to it right back to where it was when I tried to move it. How can I do this?

I really don't understand what you are doing.
I inserted two shapes with their default settings and I got what you see.
I unchecked the box "Object causes wrap" but it's usefull when there are text objects in the page.

How can I put a textField on top of a background image with JSC?

How can I put a textField on top of a background image with JSC?I believe that when you put a background image in JSC... everything else would go on top of the background image. You set the background image by selecting the Background Image property under the Appearance part of the Properties panel. There you can select the image you want to set as background.
On the other hand, if you insert a separate image component instead of the background image... there you may have to tell your textField to go on top of the image. You do this by right-clicking the textField and selecting the Bring To Front option.

ITunes DJ just puts songs at the top of the list

Ok, something which is really annoying me is that if you want to play a song in iTunes DJ, it just puts it at the top of the list, and all the songs which were before it are still in their place. I want to select a song to play, and start from there as the top of the list, skipping all the songs before it, like what happened in Party Shuffle. Is there any way to do this? Any Applescripts or hidden settings? Thanks for any help

How do I get rid of the thin line that goes across the top Persona background image.

There is a 1-pixel wide light grey line across the top Persona background image between the navigation toolbar and the bookmarks toolbar from left to right. Nomatter whatever persona I have installed, it is there. Same thing also when i hover on any other Persona at Getpersonas.com. It is not there when using any other program and not when only showing the desktop. Only when using FF4. My PC is a HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop using Windows Vista. This is not a monitor issue nor a graphic card issue since it only shows in FF.

Have you synced your iPhone with iTunes on this computer before? If not, nothing is selected automatically under the various tabs for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.
Was this the first time your iPhone was connected to iTunes on any computer? How can I put two triggers on top of eachother, and have them both work when clicked?

I'm creating this slideshow, with before and afters of my work. At the bottom right corner, I want a small frame with the before image. The fullscreen slideshow though, has arrow buttons working as triggers to either go back in the slideshow or move onto the next image. I want the other smaller slideshow at the bottom right corner to sync up with the corresponding "Before" images in the fullscreen slideshow. So, my idea was get both of the forward/back arrow buttons from the widgets and put them on top of eachother, assuming it would advance or go back on both of the widgets. It's not working though, only the top-most trigger works.
Simplified version without the mumbo-jumbo!:
I want to put two triggers on top of eachother, but when I do this, only the top-most trigger functions. Any way to get this to work? or creative ways to get around this?

You can't have it click on two things at once. You would have to write some javascript to have one button do both actions. This would not be very easy in Muse so I would say this is not somethingthat is supported in Muse.

i can give you two solutions. try the thing which looks fine for you.
1. say this is line editor of the script.
you have to design like this manually(its a bit time consuming for alignments and all - both should align side by side using '/')
so try the second way.
2. make this 'corss' as an image and simply pass as a text on to the window on which you needs this.
it will be simple and an easy way.

Putting a JLabel on top of a Player

Lets say you have a JApplet. You now create a JPanel or JLayered pane and you add a player component on top of the whole panel (or pane) and you set it on the
content pane. How would you put a JLabel on top of that player componenent? I have tried everything and nothing seems to work....
Any suggestions would be appreciated...

No. But you can create a text file for TextEdit, Word, Pages or other text application that you use, put a title at the top and print it on the already printed contact sheet. Just make the top margin in iPhoto's contact layout large enough so the title can be printed there by the other app.

Put managers at the top of the position lists

Hi all,
Is it possible to put managers at the top of the position lists in the position hierarchy view?
Product: OrgChart SP2

As you see , the manager hat position is at the very bottom, not the top.

Are you using Live or Staged? It would be worth changing the ordering in the hierarchy configuration for the position hierarchy and the employee hierarchy that is used in each orgchart that you are using, assuming you are using both Organization Structures. These are SAPOrgUnitOrgChartTypeSHierarchy.xml and SAPOrgUnitEmployeeOrgChartTypeSHierarchy.xml in the AppResources\hierarchyconfiguration folder. Make sure to copy them to your .delta\AppResources\hierarchyconfiguration folder before changing them.
In the Staged you can create some ordering in the database that can get this working, but for Live it can be more tricky.

If you backed up your old phone to iCloud, you can restore to the backup to get your camera roll photos (along with your settings, text messages and other data, as well as apps). Your music isn't in iCloud unless you have subscribed to iTunes Match. You can redownload music purchased from the iTunes store again for free using the same Apple ID on your phone, but music from other sources must be synced to your phone from your iTunes library.
Restoring to an iCloud backup has to be done in the initial setup process. If you have any data on your phone now that is not in the backup that you want to save you'll need to do that first. Then go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. You will then go through the setup screens as you did when the phone was new. When given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup (see image below). Be sure you are connected to wifi and your charger as this will take some time to finish.
