Browser is putting a dot at the end of the url
For example google.com. Instead of google.com causing it to not find web page.
I have restarted computer, refreshed firefox and scanned using malwarebytes. Problem is still happening

There may have been a config that change, however please do a virus scan after Refreshing Firefox.

Change the end point URL in WSDL for web-service

Morning , could someone please help us with this question, we are stuck with this currently.
In SOA Suite 10g as well 11g we have a jsimple Java class whose one of the methods is exposed as a web service.
In the project it has created the WSDL as well and have deployed the .ear file to the servers from EM console successfully.
Now we need to migrate this web service to testing & production environments.
1. Could someone please let us know the steps as to how do we change the end point url in the WSDL for this web service (present in web content --> WEB-INF/wsdl path in the j-developer project) for migration in case of both 10g (OC4J) as well 11g (WLS) servers.
2. Also could this change/update be done prior to deployment as well as post deployment as well.
Looking forward to inputs regards this...as we are stuck with this ..would be very helpful

As Vijay mentioned, you develop a WebService in JDeveloper and test in JDeveloper integrated Weblogic Server say at http://localhost:7101/MyWebService/MyPort?wsdl. Thats it. Once it is working. Export it into a .WAR file. If you have any other supporting EJB JARs etc, put all these into a full blown .EAR at application level. NOW deploy this .EAR or .WAR into any Domain on any host and any port. DOES not matter. That server's host and port will be taken. Infact even if this other domain is Clustered domain, still it will work by giving webserver host and webserver port that sits in front of the cluster.
I develop my webservices in JDeveloper and test at 7101 port. This .WAR gets deployed in QC Env at qchost:qcport. Same .WAR deployed to UAT at uathost:uatport and finally to prod also at prodhost:prodport.
Its just the Client (WebService Proxy) that is calling this WebService need to use appropriate host and port based on which Env it is connecting to. For this, simply do not hard code WSDL URL in the java code or anywhere. Simply get it from a .properties file using a key value pair like this.
WSDL_URL=http://host:port/MyWebService/MyPort?WSDL.
Now have Environment specific values for above key and put that properties file in that domain root folder. And in your code always refer this key.
You can use many approaches along the above lines.
If your WebServies proxy is a webservice adapter say within bpel, still you can modify the value using deployment plan .xml file file while deploying.
I would not absolutely prefer opening war file from ear and modifying war and updating ear file etc etc. Also do not have multiple EARs for Environment specific. Just have only one single EAR or WAR file that can be deployed to any environment.

Handling Web Service's End Point URL in ADF

Hi experts,
Would like to seek for advice on handling the availability of the End Point of a Web Service.
I'm tying to catch the availability of the URL but, it seems that they are throwing different exception.
Case 1: End Point URL (in enterprise manager) : set to Blank.
- This is OK
Case 2: End Point URL (in enterprise manager) : put prefix in the URL
- ex. aaaahttp://<wsdl URL>
- This will throw a malformed URL exception and will not proceed.
Case 1: End Point URL (in enterprise manager) : put suffix in the URL
- ex. http://<wsdl URL>BBBBBBBBB
- for some reason, even if I put a suffix in the endpoint URL, the URL is still valid. But in reality, it should be invalid.
Now, For this 3 cases, I would like to have a standard exception/error message. Do you think it's possible considering the behavior of the web service? Any tips would be gladly appreciated.

C) in fact is a valid URL, only that it has not matching WS endpoint. So beforte invoking a WS you wouldneed to test a URL call to the URL to see if this is answered. However, there is a case D) you don't mention which is when http://<wsdl URL>BBBBBBBBB references a valid URL (but just the wrong from the perspective of the WS you use it with. How do you handle this case ?
Here's some code snippet you can use to access the connection from within the WS client

Help Put An End to Windows Activation Issue in Boot Camp and Fusion

Several people have indicated you should set it up Fusion first before you activate Windows. Does that mean you activate in Fusion before Boot Camp? What is also not clear is the reason for this and whether this bypasses the issue of having to activate Windows twice - once in native mode (Boot Camp) and once in VM (Fusion), if you intend on using Windows in both Boot Camp and Fusion.
I'm hoping to finally put an end to this ongoing question and issue since I've yet to find a definitive answer on several boards. The only answer I was able to find was that you have to activate Windows in both native and VM but this obviously conflicts with what a few people have posted, unless of course I have misinterpreted what they've stated.

Thnx. My MBP has a built-in optical drive, so that explains the first screen without the option to create the installation disk.
So the problem remains to get Boot Camp recognize the installation disk. I tried to create an 8 GB (and after that even a 16 GB) installation disk on a USB stick and add the Boot Camp files to this stick. Next screen, Boot Camp still asks to insert the Windows Installation Disk. After that I burned the iso on a new DVD to be able to insert an original disk in the optical drive, but even this did not work out.
Today I called Microsoft to tell me whether I was taking the right steps, but this guy couldn't help me either. "I should not install windows in a partition, but I should use parallels to install it under iOS..." ?
The iso I have is an original disk image of Windows 8.1 Pro NL, meant to make a clean install. So what am I doing wrong?

How to preven "00%" corruption at end of URLs pasted in to the address box?

I find that 00% - i.e. 3 particular characters - gets added onto the end of URLs that I copy from various applications running in Windows 2000 in Virtual PC and then paste into the Safari address box on the Mac side.
To date I have remove the 3 characters manually. It's a bit of a nuisance. Is there a way to prevent the addition of the 3 characters?

Please pardon my delay in responding.
Here's what happens when I do as you suggested.
When I copy URLs from IE6 in Virtual PC and then paste them into the address bar in Safari, the URL in the address bar looks good until I hit the "return" key. At that time, the three characters "%00" appear, appended at the end of the URL. More often than not, Safari cannot then find the desired web site. Occasionally Safari does find it.
Alternatively, after I hit the "return" key and see the "bad" URL, sometimes Safari hangs" - i.e. Safari effectively freezes (apart from the spinning polychrome ball). The only remedy then is to force quit Safari.
I wonder if this is related to all the multitude of postings in this discussion group about Safari hanging!! If so, it might yield an important clue as to the reason for the hanging of Safari.
As to your other suggestion - i.e. of emailing URLs from Virtual PC to the Mac side - that works fine. After receiving the URLs in the MAc, I can either click on them in the email message or copy them and paste them into the address bar of Safari, and Safari then performs beautifully.
What do you make of all that now?

Load balancing SMA web service and SMA end point URL

Hi,
We have set up the recommended 3 servers with Azure Pack, SMA Web Service and Runbook Worker. We are now wanting to configure the Azure pack portal to setup the SMA endpoint url for the web service. Before we do that, we are assuming we should
load balance the web services to answer on 1 url (ie, smaws.domainname.com).
1. Is there any guidance or things to consider when load balancing the 3 web services to answer to 1 url. We will probably use f5 since that is what we use.
2. The end point url that we configure for Azure Pack automation should be this load balanced URL correct?
3. Should we have the Azure pack installed on just one of the servers or all 3. We did all 3 but it seems like server2 and 3 just redirect to 1 anyway so I am assuming the URL for Azure pack is stored in a db somewhere.
4. Are there any other components of SMA/Azure Pack that should also be load balanced?

Parameters in OSB End-point URL

I have a OSB end-point URL say
https://XXX.XX.XX.XX:7002/Sample/Books
which is exposed as proxy service with ServiceType as "Any XML Service", and this routes to a business service whose protocol is "jms" and ServiceType is also "Any XML Service".
I have shared across the proxy end--point URL to other application. Now they have two kind of books available in other application, they want to send across the same as parameters in the same end-point URL like
https://XXX.XX.XX.XX:7002/Sample/Books?Type=Fiction
https://XXX.XX.XX.XX:7002/Sample/Books?Type=WarBased
Now my question is will my OSB service able to pick-up the above case and based on the parameters will we be able to route it to the Business service along with the parametes. For doing that do i need to maintain any schema for Business Service?

Use the *$inbound/ctx:transport/ctx:request/http:query-string* element to get all the arguments in the URL.

After that You can have conditional routing to Route it specific BS either Fiction BS or WarBased BS or you can try using Routing Table.
For doing that do i need to maintain any schema for Business Service?No , I think if you just need to route the request to JMS BS coming from Other Application,
But if You want to validate the request which you would be sending to BS then use schema to validate your incoming request.

The above is the END POINT URL generated in my SOA.
Can i have a control over it ? I mean whenever i deploy the total url is something like this : http://host:port//soa-infra/services/default/CompositeName/BPELName?WSDL
Can i customize to have it deployed into another location of my SOA and have WSDL URL like this ? : http://host:port//BPELNAme?WSDL

I guess not easily: the part /soa-infra is the URL for the SOA Suite webapplication, / is the URL for FMW Welcome Page Application.
Try to change these around, good luck :-)

BPEL End Point URL using External Load Balancer URL

Hi All,
We have Oracle SOA Suite installed in a clustered environment as per the Enterprise Deployment Guide 10g Release 310.1.3.3.0 E10294-02.
I have deployed a BPEL process to the clustered environment and the end point refers to the internal url of the load balancer e.g. http://internallink:8001/orabpel/default/testService/1.0
When we just paste this end point in a browser, enter the parameters and click on invoke, the BPEL Process gets invoked.
However, if we try to use the external url(which is on https) of the load balancer as the enpoint url eg https://externallink/orabpel/default/testService/1.0 to invoke the same BPEL process, the page which is used to accept the parameters and the used to invoke the BPEL process is successfully displayed. However, when we try to invoke the service, the connection times out.
Please note that internallink and externallink are the internal and external VIPs, respectively.
Does someone have an idea of what may be wrong or what needs to be corrected to be able to invoke the BPEL process using the external VIP, please?

Check if the port of ESB in your server is open.
I think that the port is: 7777
try from ESB server:
wget WSDLURI
if you got the file then the port is closed.

Extra white space at end of url

I am using Safari and iBooks. When I open a document in iBooks and then click on a link in the opened document an extra space is being added to the end of the url. Here is an example:

If I take the %20 off the end the links work. This is only happening on the iPad. Is there a fix for this? I can't have my end users taking the %20 off the end of all the links as there are too many.

Yes, that's what most websites do.
The advantage of the image being a background image is that, if you make it longer than it needs to be, then it'll fill the screen on most resolutions and the unseen bottom part of the image will not generate scrollbars in browsers.
Could I insert a footer and have that stop at the bottom of the page no matter what resoulution someone is using, that way there will always be a footer?
That's the downside of background images. Since they're in the background, from a browser's point of view there's no actual page content (in the foreground) so there's no easy way of placing a footer at the bottom of the visible page and guaranteeing that it'll be seen on every display monitor regardless of resolution.
For that you'll need CSS.

Site not accessible when putting in 'www' into url

Recently been working on an iWeb site for business. When users put www.gemullanstudio.com, they cannot access the site, when they put in just gemullanstudio.com, no problems.
Also, PC users have trouble getting the site to load, mac users using firefox can't click on certain links.
Any ideas?

www.domainname.com and domainname.com are two different addresses.
Flash regards these as cross domains and consider it a risk and refuses to work.
This occurs when you use absolute urls (beginning with http://)
You may notice it when you add a flashfile to iWeb. It alerts you of this risk and you have the opportunity to allow it.
Make sure the flash (.swf) file and all the related files are in the same domain. Or use relative URLs : ../../ etc.
You can experiment with [a crossdomain.xml file|http://www.google.nl/search?q=crossdomain+file] to tell Flash which domains are safe :

Error in ICSS in changing language attribute @ the end of URL to some langs

      I am having a problem when I try to change the language attribute @ the end of the URL for login page.
Changing the language attribute in the login page URL, is woking fine only for below languages .
1. English
2. German
3. Chinese
4. Italian
5. French
6. Spanish
7. Russian
8. Japanese
9. Korean
10.Portuguese
I am getting below error for any other language which is not mentioned in the above list:
ISA Framework: com.sap.engine.services.servlets_jsp.server.exceptions.WebServletException: Error in JSP.

Slash mark at end of URL

Has anybody noticed that (possibly) the source for the rash of blank pages on first try visiting a site is related to the slash mark at the end of the URL?
I started noticing the blank pages about a month ago at most. Recently I noticed that every one had the slash mark. If that is deleted then it (the site) loads appropriately the first time.
As I add links to my sites I have made a point of getting rid of the slash mark which is entered by Inspector by default.
Any thoughts on this????

The / is proper form for URL's. Its purpose is to indicate another folder may be present.
Many folders (and some pages names) can be left out of a URL.
One folder name example is Sites. Notice the path to your actual html file? If it is inside a Sites folder that part of the URL isn't necessary.
Same with a page named index. Leave it out of the URL and the page still loads just fine.
But what if your page isn't inside a Sites folder? Then the / in an address may mess things up because it is reading folder/folder (Sites/Sites).
If your address uses an "unusual" naming scheme it's best to use the "complete" URL.

Using load how to have vars at end of url

I am trying to use load in AS3 to load another swf. I can not
get it to pass on anything in the url after 8.swf
for testing purposes I removed root.loaderInfo.parameters.cl
and in its place put what it would =

There is a space in front of the URL string: Once I took that out your code worked fine.
