Putting iWeb back onto Mac.

When I upgraded from Leopard to Snow Leopard. I opted not to put iWeb back onto the computer using my Mac's original installation discs (which came with the Mac when I bought them.) Now I'd like it back on and don't know how to get to reinstall iWeb. Can anyone explain how to do it using the two start up discs?

I downloaded my photos on my laptop so I have them, I need to delete some of my photos for storage on my iPhone 4. If I want some of the photos that I have on my laptop, can I put them back onto my iPhone later on?

    Yes you can.
(but if you do, also keep a copy on your computer)
One way is via iTunes: iTunes: Syncing photos - Apple Support
Another way is via a 3rd party app such as http://www.photosync-app.com

  • Itunes music on external drive - how to get it back onto mac.

hi - some time ago I transferred my growing itunes library to an external hard drive. The database remained on the mac. My mac was an old powerpc imac. So far no problem. Things moved on and I have just bought a new imac i3 etc. I would now like to transfer my itunes content to the new mac as it has loads of space. Alternatively I would be happy to keep the music on the external drive. I transferred the contents of the old mac to the new mac without any difficulty. The database on itunes arrived seemlessly on the new mac. I plugged in the external hard drive and nothing worked. I had forgotten that the old mac was power pc and the new mac was of course intel.
My question is now, how do I get the library on the external drive back onto my old mac so that I can transfer it to the new mac? Any ideas. I am sure it is simple, but am not the best on computers. I can follow instructions.

again, the version shouldn't matter - the worst that could happen is that the newer version would need to update the library (which may take a while).
if you still have access the the PPC, try copying its iTunes folder once more to the intel. you can use a thumb drive or connect the two Macs with a firewire cable, boot the source Mac in _*Target Disk Mode*_, and copy the entire iTunes folder from <MacintoshHD>/users/<yourname>/music on the source to <MacintoshHD>/users/<yourname>/music on the target (overwriting the iTunes folder in place there).
connect the external to the intel and wait for it to mount, then launch iTunes.
    what happens ?

  • Is it possible to put photos back onto Camera Roll.

This will sound silly but I updated my phone yesterday and was having trouble syncing with my pc. So i took all the Photos from the camera roll and saved them on my desktop. However, upon updating I have noticed 2 things :
I now have seperate folders for the camera roll on DCIM (They are grouped into years it would seem) when i open my phone on autoplay.
    and secondly.
I cannot add photos to the camera roll. I had 1800 pictures from all over the world which I liked having on there due to the places icon in Photos.
Is there anyway of adding these photos back onto the camera roll, or am I going to have to suck it up and chalk it down to experience.
    Thanks in advance.

I had this question too, but I didn't want to compromise. After hours of research: Dropbox
I have been putting pictures onto my laptop from my phone because I kept on filling up my iCould backup because I only had 5 GB of storage. I recently upgraded to 50 GB of storage. So now I am painfully putting every picture into camera roll.
I personally I am doing this on a 10.8.1 Macbook Pro running a quad 2.6 i7 w/ 8GB of RAM if anyone is curious.
First click on Finder, click on Pictures, select the pictures you want by drawing a box over the pictures you want to save to Dropbox and then right-click over the selected items and click on Copy X Items
Next click on the Dropbox select the folder you want to save the pictures to, right click in an empty space and select Paste X Item
Wait until you see green check marks like in the screen shot above to ensure the pictures are uploaded. Then go to your iPhone. In this case an iPhone 4S running 5.1.1. I am going to assume you know how to search for and install an app, so go and get Dropbox from the App Store
Go ahead and choose a picture go ahead and save it. Now keep on repeating until the job is done. Here is what one picture save looks like.
I know it says photo library, but here is my Camera Roll with pictures that I saved using Dropbox. I edited outit all the faces.

  • Putting photos back onto your ipod (4g) using itunes windows?

Hi, I have been having troubles putting photos back on my ipod (4g). Its easy talking them off I just plug my ipod into my computer and go into the folder and copy and paste my photos onto my desktop. But I have been having a diffecult time putting those same photos back on. I Go to Itunes, click on my ipod, go to the top and sync my photos from my folder, but when I go on my ipod the photos are in there twice in two different albums and I cant delete them. Is there anyway that I can put these photos back into my camera role.

You are doing it the right way.  I think yuare seeing the photos twice since one album on the iPod contains all photos on the iPod and ther are then individual album for photos such as synced photos (you can have more than one alubum if you used subfolders in the syncing folder), the Camera Roll album, ones you created on the iPod

  • Put ringtones back onto iphone 5s

I have about 25 ringtones I created.  They disappeared from my iphone 5s recently.  I cannot figure out how to get them back onto my phone.
In iTunes, when I plug my phone into my computer (Dell laptop-Windows 8.1) and click on my device, I can see a Tones folder with my ringtones listed there, but they will not play so somehow those files are empty.
When I look in iTunes-Music-Tones, they are there and will play.
Why did they disappear from my phone and how do I get them back onto the phone?
    Thanks.

    Nevermind.

  • Can I use my old 2009 app install disc to put iWeb on new Mac?

    Hi All,
I dropped my 09 13"MBP and killed it :-( luckily all data was backed up and my insurance has payed out to replace the Mac :-) I have my eye on a 15" model and really need to continue using iWeb. I'm aware the new MBPs no longer ship with it and wondered if I could use my original app install disc from my wrecked machine to install iWeb on the new Mac?
Thoughts or ideas on doing this appreciated!
    Rich

You should be able to. I have used an early 2011 App disc to install both iDVD and iWeb on Lion. Just make sure you use Software update before you try to run them to bring them up to the latest versions. You may have to run it more then once to get the newest versions.

  • Putting music back onto computer then onto ipod

I recently had to wipe my hard drive clean. I backed up all my music from Itunes onto an external drive. After I resolved my computer issues I then downloaded itunes and put my music back into itunes from the external drive. I downloaded a few new songs as well. I went to sync an ipod and only the new songs loaded onto the ipod. All of the songs are in itunes but the old ones won't play, I can't edit them in any way and they didn't load onto the ipod.
I hope I am clear on the problem I am having and hope someone can help.

Do you not have a backup copy?
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases: File>Transfer Purchases
You can also do a forum search, as this asked and answered several times a day.
Zevoneer ( a fellow user) explains the options very well.

  • Computer crashed - how do I get my songs off my ipod mini back onto mac?

hi there - I have an ipod mini linked to a powerbook g4. Recently I had to do a clean reinstall of the operating system. Now when I connect my ipod, i get an error message saying that this ipod isn't linked to this computer.
If i interpret the message correctly, changing the link will link them, but as I understand it, it will also wipe all the songs on the ipod as there are currently no songs on the computer. But if I choose the 'no' option I can't access any of the songs from the laptop as they are all greyed out or sync the songs back to the computer.
    Yikes!
Can anyone help out. Short of digging out all the CDs and digitizing again, is there a way around this problem?
    Thanks, in anticipation.

Yeah, syncing them will wipe the iPod. You need an iPod Manager (other than iTunes) that'll move songs from the iPod to the Mac (which iTunes is design not to do).
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparisonof_iPodManagers
I used iPodRip. It took a little finaggling (sp?) so next time I'll try something else. You might want to look up some reviews of the others and see what'll work for you. Some save the play count history & playlist, others don't.
    Anyway, it's doable.

  • Putting photos back onto phone

My question is I know I can pull the photos and videos off of my phone under my computer and then under scanners and cameras. But why can't I add photos and videos back to this folder? I mean I know I can sync photos under the photo tab in itunes but I was trying to put some videos back in the same spot where I took them from. These are videos that I made with the iphone as well. Thank you in advance

If you manually manage photo storage on your computer, create a parent folder which will store the named folders for select photos that you want transferred to your iPhone only.
Place the photos in the appropriate named folders located in the parent that you want transferred to your iPhone.
Select the parent folder under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.
The named folders with photos in the selected parent folder will be transferred to your iPhone as separate named albums or folders. All photos transferred from your computer to your iPhone are stored in your iPhone's Photo Library with the named albums or folders of the photos below. The photos in the named albums or folders below Photo Library are not duplicated. They include a pointer to the original photos stored in the Photo Library. This way you can view photos in an album or folder only by selecting the album or folder, or you can view all photos in all albums or folders by selecting Photo Library.
If you want to remove an album or folder from your iPhone, remove the named folder from the selected parent folder on your computer followed by a sync. To remove a photo from your iPhone, remove the photo from the appropriate named folder in the parent folder on your computer followed by a sync. To add another album or folder of photos, place the named folder in the selected parent folder on your computer followed by a sync.

  • Putting firmware back onto an ipod

I was wondering how to put the firmware back on an ipod. Windows won't recognize it as an ipod, and the my computer window freezes up when I try to acess the ipod. I know that the harddrive isn't dead because it spins up when I reset the ipod. Also, when I open the latest updater, when my ipod is attached, it says initializing and then it freezes up. Any thoughts.

Try putting the iPod in Disk Mode and then connect it up. Does it work any better?

  • Sending 160gb iPod content back onto mac

About 6 weeks ago I had to reinstall Lion OSX on my mac I didn't have a time machine back up and lost everything so I went and bought touchcopy for my mac. I have a 160gb iPod that is almost full so I began the process of transferring all my content from my iPod back to my mac this took forever because every so often the program kept stalling so I would have to start again several times which has resulted in doubles, triples or even quadruples in some cases of certain songs which clogged up my hardrive because I only have 146gb of music on my iPod but when the transfer from my iPod to mac finally completed it's now saying that I have 220gb of audio on the computer. But of course the doubles and triples of tracks don't show up in iTunes because that would just make things too easy.
So I used Omni Disk sweeper to locate where all these extra files where it said they were in iTunes so I just spent about the last 3 and half weeks individually going through each artist and album and deleting all the duplicates only the the songs that had 1,2 or 3 next to it not the originals (I have 394 different artists saved on my iPod so this has been an extremely tedious and painsteaking process) so finally today I finished and had hoped this would be the end of this nightmare only to discover yet another problem. Now when I click on certain songs it keeps says the files cannot be located even though if I go through Omni Disk Sweeper I can clearly see the original files is still there yet itunes keeps saying it can't locate it.
So please can somebody help me because I am at my wits end at this stage I just feel like throwing iPod and computer out the window I have been more than patient with this and have tried everything and still I am getting constant problems. Their has to be some easy solution to this problem. I have had to to reinstall before and reup all my music from my iPod to my computer but I have never experienced this amount of problems or difficulty before as I am sure anyone who's been through it knows it's extremely frustrating. I have a 146gb of audio on my iPod some of which is rare live stuff that I will not be able to get again so starting over is not an option I would just stop using MP3 players alltogether rather than do that. I already tried contacting apple but because my music is from my own cds or bandcamp downloads they can't help me.
So please can somebody help me before I lose it.

  • I have the 20gb iPod that I need to put music back onto with my new computer. It starts to sync then it says "ITunes could not copy the song to the iPod because the file could not be read or written. ????

I have a 20gb iPod that needs music from ITunes. On my new computer I am trying to sync but I get error message "could not copy to iPod because file could not be read or written. Attempting to copy to the disk failed. The disk could not be read from or written to." I have tried several times and have reset to factory settings.

Is the new PC running XP as well, Chalotte?
If so, I might start with the following document (your error message is a possible symptom of the issue too):

  • How do I recover a "complete" folder and place it back onto the desktop screen.

This has to be a common problem experienced by all Mac desktop users.  I placed
an entire blue "file folder" (the common blue folders with tab) into the "trash" and
cannot take it out or delete it.  I did it by accident because I wanted to "delete" a small
file, within the "entire blue folder".  Apparently I put the "whole folder" in the "trash" instead
and now cannot take it out.
I have an exact copy on my desktop already, but I don't want to delete this folder that I
placed in the "trash".  For now, I just want to recover it and put it back onto the desktop.
I don't mind having two copies for now.
To be extra clear, this is the usual blue "file folder" that contains "favorites", "shared", and "devices".
Within these are "all my files", "desktop", "your personal files", "applications", etc., etc.
Within these are "photos", "albums", "pictures", "video", and miscellaneous subsets of files.
This "entire" folder containing all these items are now in the trash.
I need to know a simple "step by step" process or instructions on how to take all this
out of the trash and to put it back on the desktop where I can see it on my computer screen
    as a blue "file folder".
I'm not very computer knowledgeable except to use the internet and knowing how to use
    data entry software.
So it would be important to explain to me "step by step".  Any small detail left out and I might mess up.
I know there must be a simple way of doing this.  All I see now is a pile of papers in the "trash" bin and
no way to get out my "file folder"
    I appreciate all your help.
    Thank you very much.

You cannot take a folder out of the Trash to your Desktop without erasing the one on the Desktop. You need to first change the name of the folder on the Desktop. Or you can open the folder that's in the Trash and drag the files onto the Desktop assuming there aren't too many of them.
But if you have a duplicate on the Desktop why do you need to remove the one that's in the Trash?
If you feel you must take the folder out of the Trash, then you need to rename the duplicate that's on your Desktop.
If you wish to put the folder back where it was when you deleted it, then open the Trash window, select the folder, then CTRL- or RIGHT-click and select "Put Back" from the context menu.
