Putting music in my MP3 player from my Itune library

I need to know why I can't seem to get songs from my nlibrary at Itunes onto my MP3 player....is it incompatible?

You can only put MP3 songs onto an MP3 player; formats other than protected AAC can be converted to MP3. Most of the iTunes Store content is protected AAC.

  • How can I copy mp3 files from my Itunes library to an SD card for use in a non-apple phone?

How can I copy mp3 files from my Itunes library to an SD card for use in a non-apple phone?  I can physically copy the tunes as mp3's but the phone does not seem to be able to play all of them.   Do I need to copy an entire album or can I just pick & choose individual songs?   The phone is question is an LG running who knows what for an operating system.

AAC is Advanced Audio Coding.  Basically it's a format that sounds better than MP3 but doesn't take up as much space as a lossless format (like you'd have on a CD).  More than likely you've had that encoding turned on when you ripped your music into itunes (it's the default encoder).  Therefore your LG phone won't play them.
You need to turn off the AAC format by going to the iTunes menu, Preferences, General (at the top), then clicking the "Import Preferences" button.  Change the AAC Encoder to MP3 Encoder.  After that you'll have to make MP3 copies of your songs by right clicking them and selecting "Create MP3 Version."  You'll get a copy of the song that should transfer to your SD card and have MP3 encoding.  Hopefully your phone will play that.

  • How do I put music on new MP3 player please

<FONT face=Garamond color=#cc0066 size=4>hello, received my new creative zen nano plus MP3 GB player today, looked forward to getting it before my holiday, it arri'ved, thought I would have Music on it by now but NO.
<FONT color=#cc0066 size=4>For the life of me - I can't do it. I have spent all afternoon doing it and driving me nuts now.
<FONT color=#cc0066 size=4>PLEASE help...... I looked at the intructions, but still no.
<FONT color=#cc0066 size=4>I have them ripped from CD, in WMA and also in MP3. Then moved them to Library. Then dragged them to F: creative zen folder. I viewed the folder and saw them, removed the MP3 player from USB port and when I looked at music symbol using scroll it said no recording.
<FONT color=#cc0066 size=4>Fed up with it already. Need advice......also is if I get there, is WMA better then MP3

This is what you find in the FAQ's:
? Should I use the WMA or MP3 format?
WMA is better at lower bit-rates, 64-28 kbit/s, where disk space is more important than sound quality.
MP3 (encoded using LAME) is somewhat better than WMA when encoding at higher bit-rates, 92+ kbit/s. This should be used when sound quality is more important than disk space.
Ultimately it's important to try some different bit-rates with both WMA and MP3 for yourself, and see if you can tell the difference. The only caveat is that over time it becomes easier to hear artifacts that low bit-rate compression uses.
If you need more information, try google: "mp3 vs. wma".

  • After setting up an mp3 player using my itunes library, all my songs are now in the library twice, I dont know what to do, other than delete them one at a time, and what did I do that would of caused this to happen.

I have an ipod with 1000 songs and I transfered them to a mp3 player, when checked my library for duplicates, all the songs appreared twice, now I am afraid to add more songs and sync my ipod.

Manually sync.  This way, you will be making sure no duplicates will sync over to your iPod.

  • How do I copy some music from my itunes library to a MP3 player?

I have a Sandisk clip sport MP3 player and would like to download files from my iTunes library.  Do I have to use the sync?  If so, how do I enable sync on my Mac?

Drag the songs from the iTunes library or iTunes Music folder to the device in the Finder. If it doesn't show up there or that doesn't work, check the device's documentation.

  • Can you download the music to any mp3 player (not an ipod)?  If yes, how?

Can you download the music to any mp3 player (not an ipod)?  If yes, how?

    Not using itunes.
You can use the music on other music players that support the format that itunes uses.
Consult the manual for instructions on how to put music on the player.

I just purchase songs from ITunes...
You made a mistake already.  If you want MP3s, it is better to avoid the iTunes Store altogether, and buy songs in MP3 format (e.g. from Amazon Digital Music or other source).
But all is not lost.  First check whether your MP3 player can play songs in AAC format.  If yes, continue to next step.  If not, convert your Purchased AAC files to MP3 per this guide:
iTunes: How to convert a song to a different file format
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1550
Once you have them in the right format, add them to the MP3 player.  iTunes is not capable of automatically syncing a non-Apple device.  However, for most players you can connect via USB, highlight the tracks you want from iTunes, and drag them into the player.

  • Change .MP3 Player From QT to WMP

    Hi,
I would like to change my .MP3 player from default QuickTime to Windows Media Player but don't know how.
    Thanks.
    John

    Ah, okay.
Here's a neater version of what I just posted before. I forgot I had it in a file.
[Mac OS X: Double-Clicking a File Opens the Wrong Application|http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2291?viewlocale=en_US]
*Changing the application used to open all files of a certain kind*
    1) In a Finder window highlight a file of the kind you want to change the application to open that kind of file.
    2) While that file is highlighted, select File > Get Info or press command (apple or propeller icon) + i to get a file information window.
    3) In the lower part of the info window there is an "open with" menu with a list of applications.
    4) If your application is already in the box then it is the default application for opening that kind of file and you don't need to do anything more. Close the get info window.
    5) If the application showing in the menu is not the one with which you wish to open the file then select a new application. If your application does not appear there then select the "other..." and track down the application (usually in the Applications folder at the main level of the computer).
    6) If you wish to change all files of this type to open with this application in future, make sure the "change all" button is selected.
    7) Close the get info window.

  • Can I transfer music from my iTunes library to Google Playstore?

I's like to transfer music from my iTunes library on the laptop across to a Motorola G mobile phone - possibly via Google Playstore. Is this possible?

I think AAC will get you a little better quality for
the same file size of an Mp3. If I recall, iTunes
saves the original file and makes a copy with the
converted version. But to be safe, just make a backup
    copy of the original file
And I take it that it makes no difference what format the file is in, it will still upload to the iPod and be playable there. I guess the default is set at AAC in iTunes and I never knew where/how to change it.
Thanks so much for your help!

  • How do I transfer music from my itunes library  to my wife's on the same computer?

How do I transfer music from my itunes library to my wife's on the same computer? I am trying to put the music that is on my phone on her phone.

Has she transferred iTunes content to her iPhone from an iTunes library on another computer or from a different iTunes library on the same computer?
If not, you transfer music to her iPhone from your iTunes library in the same way the music was transferred to your iPhone. If she has any iTunes content on her iPhone that was transferred from a different iTunes library, all iTunes content on her iPhone will be erased first.

  • Can I export music from my iTunes library to another application?

I've been trying to figure out how to export music from my iTunes library to either Movie Maker or Roxio My DVD Creator. If I browse to my iTunes library, it doesn't show any music within the artist folders. I take it the only way I could use the music is to burn a CD and then open it using "my computer" and copying it to a folder on my PC and then browse to it from the other applications?
