Putting my music on an MP3 player.  HELP!

I'm a new user to ITunes and I cannot figure out how to put my music on the MP3 Player.   Can someone please help me figure this out?
Much Appreciated.

You would have to read the directions that came with yout mp3 player.
Itunes syncs with Apple products.

  • Why cant I put my music from my mp3 player onto my comput

I recently got a new comp and I have no music on it because I thought I could get it off my mp3 player. Is this blocked intentionally or am I doing something wrong?
    thx for your help

You don't say what player you have. I recommend reading the FAQ post, especially the information about how to post.
MP3s can be transferred from the player to the PC with all players.
The tracks that come with the player cannot be transferred, as these are locked.
Locked WMA tracks can't be transferred either.

itunes will only sync with an ios device.
On the other hand, if you have a usb cord for your mp3 player, and you know what FOLDER your itunes music is located in (and for me its located at C:\Users\YOUR NAME HERE\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media  )
you can just select that folder and copy it to your mp3 player.
typically when you first plug in something like an mp3 player you get a windows alert asking if you want to view the contents of the device- say yes. copy your itunes folder to the music folder on your mp3 player.

    carlitos3373,
You need to use iTunes to transfer music to your iPod. You can download the latest version here:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
    Hope this helps,

  • Can you download the music to any mp3 player (not an ipod)?  If yes, how?

Can you download the music to any mp3 player (not an ipod)?  If yes, how?

    Not using itunes.
You can use the music on other music players that support the format that itunes uses.
Consult the manual for instructions on how to put music on the player.

  • How do I put music on new MP3 player please

<FONT face=Garamond color=#cc0066 size=4>hello, received my new creative zen nano plus MP3 GB player today, looked forward to getting it before my holiday, it arri'ved, thought I would have Music on it by now but NO.
<FONT color=#cc0066 size=4>For the life of me - I can't do it. I have spent all afternoon doing it and driving me nuts now.
<FONT color=#cc0066 size=4>PLEASE help...... I looked at the intructions, but still no.
<FONT color=#cc0066 size=4>I have them ripped from CD, in WMA and also in MP3. Then moved them to Library. Then dragged them to F: creative zen folder. I viewed the folder and saw them, removed the MP3 player from USB port and when I looked at music symbol using scroll it said no recording.
<FONT color=#cc0066 size=4>Fed up with it already. Need advice......also is if I get there, is WMA better then MP3

This is what you find in the FAQ's:
? Should I use the WMA or MP3 format?
WMA is better at lower bit-rates, 64-28 kbit/s, where disk space is more important than sound quality.
MP3 (encoded using LAME) is somewhat better than WMA when encoding at higher bit-rates, 92+ kbit/s. This should be used when sound quality is more important than disk space.
Ultimately it's important to try some different bit-rates with both WMA and MP3 for yourself, and see if you can tell the difference. The only caveat is that over time it becomes easier to hear artifacts that low bit-rate compression uses.
If you need more information, try google: "mp3 vs. wma".

  • Putting music in my MP3 player from my Itune library

I need to know why I can't seem to get songs from my nlibrary at Itunes onto my MP3 player....is it incompatible?

You can only put MP3 songs onto an MP3 player; formats other than protected AAC can be converted to MP3. Most of the iTunes Store content is protected AAC.

  • 4gb mp3 player help p

I just got a 4gb mp3 player yesterday. It's the that plays music videos and stores photos. I installed everything on the computer and it charged from 7:47p.m. to around 5:0 5:5p.m. I try 2 turn it on but it's not working. i'm holding down the button for a while 2 like it said. I once held it down for like 5mins but it's just not turning on! did it charge 2 long r something because now it's not charging when i try anymore! did I overcharge it's PLZ HELP ME! i used all my b-day money on it and really wnat it 2 work.

I take it you have either FireWire or USB to connect this with, no? If so, when you plug it in, and it's powered up, the player should mount with some sort of icon on the desktop.
Does it do that, but then you can't do anything else? If you open the player desktop icon, what is inside?
You may need to have a version of iTunes that has mp3 player support and I'm not sure if version 2 does. That's the last available for OS9. If not, try using Audion instead.
Audion is at http://www.panic.com/audion/ - and don't forget to click the small 'free of charge' link to get the serial number to unlock the full functionality. Audion should 'see' your player then you can drag and drop your files from your music library into the playlist for it.
There's really good instructions for it as well, as it's discontinued, but it's super powerful in that it can grab and record streams and do stuff that ANY version of iTunes still cannot.
    Good luck!
    Deb.

  • Playing purchased music on my mp3 player

I need help! I am totally new to itunes and not very computer savy...I purchased a song but now I can't play it on my mp3 player because it says that the extension is not recognized by Windows Media Player. I tried to convert the song to MP3 but it says it's protected. Can I not save my purchased music to my Windows Media Player?

    Suzy,
To convert protected iTunes files you need to burn them to audio CD first and then re-import that CD in MP3 format. If you are currently using a different import setting, you can change it in iTunes by going to File>Preferences>Advanced>Importing and changing the encoder setting to MP3

Itunes doesn’t support other players but you may find 3rd party sofware to help

This article mentions a couple of mac utilities, but I know nothing about them:

  • Is there a way to transfer music off my MP3 player back to my comput

My computer crashed, all my music is on the player and I need to transfer it back. I can't figure out how.

Which model are you using ?
For the most parts, the answer should be Yes. If it is a USB based MuVo or a MTP based player, you can use Windows Explorer to drag and drop the mp3 from the player to your computer.
If your player requires the Creative Software to transfer, you can use the Creative Media Source Organizer. All you need to do is to select all your music by highlighting them with your mouse then do a Ctrl-C to copy all the songs to the clipboard. Then in your Windows Explorer, right mouse click on the folder you want to copy to and select 'Paste' or just do the Ctrl-V .
