Putting my old ITUNES music to my new computer
I had an old IBOOK and now have a Macbook. My ipod recently died so I had to get a new one. The new ipod's require the newest version of itunes to function and I cannot download this on my old IBOOK because it no longer has internet. Can i use migration manager to JUST copy over my music files or what is the best way to do this? Thanks!
Use the technical article [HT1449|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1449?viewlocale=enUS&locale=deDE] as a starting point.

How can I get my old iTunes music onto my new computer without access to my old computer? I left my previous job and forgot to transfer my music. I bought iTunes match and it shows my old Mac as a device, but I cannot access any of the old music. All I can find are what was on my iPhone, but that's not what I want. I need all my old music from my old Mac, which has been wiped clean by IT at my old job. BUT, I did have iCloud at that time and I thought all my music would be accessible through it. I don't understand the Cloud! And I'm thinking spending $24.99 on iTunes Match was a waste of money because I still can't access my old music.
When you are done with this issue, consider the computer back at the office may still
have access to your iTunes account, and it should be de-auhorized. You can do that
remotely, but be sure you carefully do not mess up your other computer iTunes libraries.
Good luck & happy computing! -
How do i put my old itunes account on to new computer
how do i put old itunes account on to new computer
An itunes account is just a user name and password. You can sign into your account from any comuter that has itunes.
Are you talking about your library ( music/apps/etc)
If so then type "move itunes library" into the google search bar. -

Apologies for poor syntax, my arm's a little sore. Yes, one computer (old) is vista, new is Windows 8. Shouldn't I be able to import the whole library using home sharing? Am I doing something wrong? Thank you in advance
I am having the same issue. I recently purchased a new laptop and I have spent the last 3 days using the home share to slowly transfer all 22,000 songs. However yesterday morning when I turned on both computers to continue the process I am having the following issue:
both computers are running the same windows OS (8)
both computers are running the same version of itunes
both computers are logged in with the same apple ID
both computers have home sharing turned on
Now however I can see the NEW computers itunes library in the drop down box on the OLD computer, however I can not see the OLD computers itunes library on the NEW computer. I can no longer see "HOME SHARES" on the drop down LIBRARY list on the new computer. I've taken the following steps to correct the error:
reset the router
completely shut down BOTH computers and brought them back up
reopened itunes
re-logged in on both PC's
re-activated both PC's with home share
The articles and help from the apple sites are worthless and it says if you can't see a library just turn home sharing off then back on - I've completed the above steps NUMEROUS times. After spending 4 days on transferring my music I really do not want to have to start over by using an external hard drive and then importing that way. I would like some help on discovering why the new laptop is no longer seeing my old library. (When it has been working up to this point)
Thanks in advance. -

Can i sync my old itunes music onto my new ipod?
I just got a new ipod touch i have my old itunes account with all my music on it but i also have a new icloud account and im not sure if i can sync my already puchesed music from my itunes account to the new ipod, and if so can i select only certain songs i want on it?
I believe that you can sync your new iPod with the old iTunes account (For the music, apps etc.). The new iCloud account is separate for the iMessages, contacts, FaceTime, calendar etc.

I have just installed a new pc and I can't get my itunes music to install. Not even the stuff I purchased from itunes.
There's a few different ways to do the move. The following document is worth checking through:

I studied abroad and my computer broke during the trip. I eventually got another computer after I came home. I can no longer access iTunes on that computer, but I still have all my music/photos/apps on my iPhone. But if I try to sync my phone to the newly downloaded iTunes on this new computer, it wants to erase everything. Is there a way I can have all my music back on iTunes without losing it off my phone? My phone is the only place I have it!
If it's all purchased content, it's really simple. If not, then not so simple.
To download previous purchases: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519
If they aren't purchased from iTunes, then you are going to have to find them and download them onto your computer and back into your iTunes library.
You can turn off photo syncing, and import the ones from your phone onto your computer.

I download Itunes in my new computer and i dont see how i can get my account set up to access my music
It you go to the iTunes Store, and on the right side select "Purhcased", you can re-download any songs, TV shows, etc. that you previously purchased on that account.
Any music that you got off of CD's or elsewhere, you simply need the CD or whatever you got it off of.
