Putting pictures on a memory card, via my printer

I'm not to sure I have the correct forum.
I'm trying to put pictures on a memory card, and the card will then go on my digital photo frame, I've put the card into my printer which is  Photo smart 5520, and I use windows 7, when I've done it before with another printer, the card came up as a removable device, and then I just dragged the picture on to the memory card icon, I did this with my Epson, but my HP printer won't do it.
I asked a while back and the girl who helped me paired it up with the Internet, I did see my pictures on it, but it would not let me put more pictures on, which is why I'm asking again, I hope someone can help me, as I've got know idea at all, I'm not a computer buff, I only know the basics, thank you in advance to anyone who is kind enough to help me

Thanks for the response. What you are suggesting is that your memory card is not showing on the computer. Is that correct? If it is correct, try another card, and ensure these cards are not locked. If multiple cards do not work on the computer, you can reference this document for assistance on troubleshooting the card reader: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&docname=c01884924
If this is not what you implied, please provide a more detailed analysis on the issue. I'm only here to help!

Please! I need an answer fast!!!!

    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

  • How do I recover deleted pictures from a memory card?

how do I recover deleted pictures from a memory card? The pictures got accidentally deleted and they are extrememly important and need them ASAP!!

You can use the Recycle Bin to Recover Deleted Pictures on Your Computer to solved the issue about how to recover deleted photos.
1 Open the Recycle Bin (found on your desktop or in the Start Menu) and check there for the deleted picture files.
2 Select the files or folders you want to recover.
3 Right-click and choose "Restore" from the menu. These actions will restore the files to their original location prior to deletion.
Or you can use Photo Recovery to do that.

With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a potential solution.  We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:
what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running?
did you get a message when trying to import from the memory card?
did you use a card reader?
what was you exact workflow for attempting the import?
    what fixes have you tried?
    where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?

  • Pictures transferred through memory card reader ca...

I just dragged and dropped couple folders of pictures onto my micro sd through my computer memory card reader. But when I tried to view it in gallery, nothing is shown. I then used File Manager to view the files. The folders are there, but it says "no data" when I opened the folders. Even Y-browser isn't able to open up the picture folders. I avoid using the Nokia PC Suite because it's extremely slow and it hangs my computer at shut down. Is there any way to make the files show up besides using pc suite?

What handset are you using mate?
Have youe tried doing dragging and dropping via mass storage/data transfer, if so do you get the same results like you got with the card reader.

  • I had a brand new Mac book pro one month old and the hard drive died. Right before it died I was down loading pictures off a memory card and now they aren't on my memory card! They are wedding pictures I took for a friend and irreplaceable! Please help!!

I had a one month old Mac book pro and the hard drive fried! I was down loading a friends wedding pictures when it stopped working and started heating up. I plugged it in and turned it off as it was making a clicking noise. When I turned it back on the was a grey box with a question mark and nothing else. When I took my memory card out the pictures were gone. I took it back to best buy where I bought it and they said it was dead, needed a new hard drive and all my info is lost! Is there any way to get back those irreplaceable wedding pictures?

There are some data recovery programs (software). I would look into that for the images on the card. When files are deleted, the files are still there, just the headers are removed. That being said, a format of the card or new files written to the card can overwrite deleted files.
The physical hard drive could be thousands of dollars to forensically save, with no guarantee.

  • How can I transfer pictures on SHDC memory card to iphone?

I would like a way to transfer SHDC class 4 memory card pictures to iphone through either a physical cable or bluetooth connection.  There will not be a wifi connection in the area I hope to do the transfer. Thanks.

well your sd card of cause can't create a bluetooth connection
the iOS devices suppert the PEN bluetooth profile so if a device that read sd cards had an app
in app store which could using PEN connect to the sd reader and transfer photos over bluetooth then yes it would work
but it would require an app on the iOS side and bluetooth is much slower then wifi so the peer to peer sandisk wifi option would be a better bet
peer to peer would mean that no external wifi network was required

  • How do I upload my pictures from my memory card to my laptop?

I can't figure out how to tell if my computer's recognizing any of my memory cards. Does it come equipt with a memory card reader or am i just sticking it into a slot meant for something else?

Depends on what type of memory card you have.  If it's not an SD memory card, there's no slot that will read it in your laptop.  In that case, just plug in the entire camera into an available USB port via a USB cable that came with the camera (if so equipped) and the MacBook will see the cardslot in the camera that way and let you import your pics.

  • HT204384 I mistakenly put my SD camera memory card in the dvd slot on my iMac.  Any ideas on how to get it out??

My small SD Card was mistakenly put in the larger CD/DVD slot.  I cannot eject or pop out.  I can't see it.  I turned computer off and tipped on side to see if it would fall out...no luck.  How can I remove it from the inside of the CD/DVD slot?

Then you should do a little research, start with a search of this forum, you will find many successful removals of the SD card using this method. It's easy to find them, just look on the right side of your screen for the heading 'More Like This'
Here is a link to the first one. Memory card & how to retrieve from  inside iMac!!
The fact that the optical drive is a sealed unit means that your solution will not help with removing the SD card from the drive, unless you were going to suggest breaking the drive open, after dismantling the iMac. Which is a very difficult task.
    Bad advice I would say.

Unfortunately some sad folks like to come to the forum not to help but simply to pick arguments for their own amusments.
No digitial still camera by any major maker requires installing drivers from a CD or DVD. None.
The same is true of many scanners and copiers too, in the hands of a knowledgeable computer user. People running older systems that they don't understand or know how to use will disagree, of course, if they choose to be argumentative. Personally, I ignore usch people.
The common causes for your issue are
    1. A USB fault. That might be a damaged cable, an issue with the USB ports on your computer or your camera. Easiest way to check: swap the cables, try a different port, make sure your camera is on and charged
    2. Try use a USB Card Reader or the Card Reader port on your Mac, if it has one.
    3. Another possibility is that the camera card may need to be reformatted - you do this with the camera only.

  • I imported some pictures from my cameras memory card to iPhoto and now i want to transfer them back to memory card

I just got my iMac and I just wanted to copy some pictures from my camera's memory card to my computer. turns out 'importing pictures' meant totaly removing the pictures from my memory card. How can I transfer the pictures back to my memory card?
    More info:
I used Dynex Compact Memory Card Reader and put my memory card in it to connect to the usb plug
    I have a Canon Camera
    I am using iPhoto

    Hi.
FYI and future reference, importing pictures does not have to mean removing them from the memory card or camera.
When you plug in a memory card and open iPhoto to import your pictures, there will be a dialog box that opens and asks if you'd like to "Keep" the imported photos on the card, or delete them.
Apparently you selected the option to delete them.
In any case, in order to move them back to the card, you *should* be able to plug the card into your Dynex reader, after which the card should mount and display on the desktop. Then, open iPhoto and simply drag the photos from there and into the memory card.
You may need to recreate the file and folder structure on the card so the camera can find the files when you wish to view them.
    I hope this is helpful.
