Putting Video on my Zen Visio

How do I put my own, already owned DVD's onto my player? I've tried to format the video and everything, but I can't get the movies on there, there is more than enough room, but they just wont transfer.

In some countries its no legal to copy already owned comercialy bought DVDs and as creative operate globaly, and this is a global message board they do not allow discussion of grey areas like this.
instead you could try other forums such as epizenter, and anything but ipod?

Moving Videos Around With Zen Visio

Hi all, I need some help with my videos on my new ZEN V:M. I have already put some videos on there and they are under the main Video folder, however I would like to put them into a sub-folder within the Video folder. The ony problem is?Zen M Explorer won't let me transfer them into the sub-folder. I try to drag and drop but nothing happens. I try to copy and paste but nothing happens. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

John that is exactly what I opted to do. I was just too nervous making this kind of investment to have the customer service response so lacking, along with the weak warranty.
I got an iPod, though I really didn't want too. I was able to get the Hi-Fi speaker system, JVC car adapter kit so that the text information and control of my iPod is done via my JVC head unit. These two things alone made the switch worth while. I really like the ZV:M, but with the above mentioned issues and no real accessories this was a no brainer. I know folks say on the display isn't as good, but it is good enough for watching video podcast occasionally, I didn't buy the ZV:M or iPod to watch videos. But I can tell you the touch pad is better and doesn't dri've nuts.
By the way I've not had one single issue. No clattering MP3 playback and no freezing up... not a single time and I've used the iPod for going on 4 days. Today was the first full day I used it on the road in my truck, in the office and to take a slow walk around the property to check on my animals. Flawless performance! I am happy! If only I could have had this with the Zen Vision:M. I really wanted to support Creative, but this is what happens when you don't do a better job with quality control and testing your product. I had not realize that Creative is actually in 3rd place, well behind San Disk which is in 2nd place by a country mile behind Apple. Now I understand why no one makes accessories for the Creative MP3 players.

Can't Upload video files onto Zen Visio

I have had this same problem I believe. If you find the video file on your computer and right click on it, go to properties, click on the details tab, and find the Audio title. If the quality is above 28 kbps it will not be able to be put on your player.
The video converter does not reduce the audio quality so that it will work, it only converts the video....stupid Yes! If you can find a solution to this problem, please let me know!

Problems putting videos on visio

I might sound kind of inexperienced sorry (probably because i am).ButI cant find out how to put videos on my Zen Vision M at all. I dled an MPEG 4 video and tried to put it on the Zen using the creative software. It said file type not supported, so i tried the creative?video converter. It also said file type not supported. I looked this up on the creative support site and it told me to download a codec reader or something like that. I downloaded DivX and tried its video converter?with the MPEG 4 file. It ALSo said file type not supported. Whats up? Can someone tell me how to put it in the right format and put it on the Zen?Thank you.

Extreme trouble transfering video files to ZEN MX

I'm having trouble putting videos on my Zen MX. I've tried a multitude of ways to transfer the file(s);
. Using Centrale with a normal avi. file - convert unsuccessful.
2. Using Format Factory to change the avi. file using the preset conditions for Zen MX and then using Centrale with the new file - convert unsuccessful.
3. Using Format Factory to change the avi. file to WMA. format and then using Centrale with the new file - convert unsuccessful.
I just cannot understand why this isn't working. Any suggestions welcome, because if this doesn't work I'm going to have to buy an iPod and I can't be dealing with that shi.

please creative. Scrap the useless fileformat and start support the ones we actually use!

Hey guys, what programs would I use to take movies from a dvd, and put them onto my zen vision?

Please keep in mind during this discussion that commercial DVDs carry CSS encryption, and breaking that is illegal under the DMCA in the US and other laws elsewhere. How can I transfer videos to my ZEN VISION

Hello, I want to know how I can transfer videos to my ZEN. If I put a DVD in my DVD-Reader and try to open it with the Windows Media Player 0, then occured an error, that says there is no codec installed, so I cant get the Videos to my Hard Disk.
I syncronisate all my music with the WMP 0, so I want to do this also with the Videos.
I use Windows XP with SP3.

That is true you need to convert the files before you can load to player. But you will also need a dvd ripper to get onto the harddri've. Touch pad problem on Zen Visio

I have a Creative Zen Vision: M with a broken touch pad. I already did a research on this forum about how to fix it and none that works for me. I mean, first the tap touch is fine but up/down scrolling is not working. Then up/down scrolling comes back but tap touch stops working. I'm thinking this is a hardware problem. There is any other way to fix it's By the way, my Zen already out of the warranty period.
Is there anyway to just set it as a USB without using tap touch to set it's

Well the only way I know how to put ANYTHING on there is ZOON and ZOON DOES NOT HAVE AN OPTION IN IT FOR EBOOKS THAT I CAN SEE.
How is "IN THE STANDARD WAY" supposed to be of any use or help to me whatsoever when STANDARD WAY FOR EBOOKS IS NOT EVIDENT TO ME???

Error message when trying to put videos on my 30G ipod video

Every time I try to put videos from iTunes onto my ipod I get an error message saying that the video "could not be copied onto "Brennen's Ipod" because it cannot be played on this iPod".

Very upset that I can not put videos on my 5g 60gb ipod

I paid near $600 for a 5g 60gb ipod of which does not come with any software to help one transfer video to the ipod. Apple expects me to use itunes to surf to their website to pay and d/l music videos for $1.99 or movie trailers.
but what if I have a large collection of dvd movies? well apples answer is to cough up $20 for quicktime pro which claims it can do this, help encode movie files for playback on ipod. To make matters worse you ahve to pay another $20 for the mpeg encoder so you can actually encode vob files into .mp4 format.
I admit I paid a bit more for my 5g because i know the issue apple has had with poor batteries so i got a warranty plan. Well for $500 apple will just screw you beccause you have to cough up another $40 for software that claims it can help encode for playback in the ipod, but the truth it the software hangs at 100% and fails to finish.
please explain to me why I have to pay $40 more for something that does not work and which should come included with the ipod 5g 60gb for $500.
I'm looking for a 1 click solution to convert my dvd movies collection into a playable format which i can upload to my ipod with 0 problems from start to end.

I've spent weeks now trying to take a dvd movie I have and putting it on a .mp4 file format and i'm having lousy luck with it. I've tried videora v2.0 and more than half the time the application hangs/crashes when it gets to the end. Also tried imtoo mpeg encoder and imtoo psp video converter and both of these apps will hang when it reaches the end of the movie and it does this randomly. Once in a while the mentioned apps will 100% convert the movie.
When I bought my 5g ipod it was made clear it could play digital video but apple misleads you because they make it sound like, after paying $500 you would have the tools to do it with included for the price. Even after I shelled out extra money for quicktime pro 7 and the mpeg encoder, it still fails. So far 4 apps can not seem to do the job. Its really a hit or miss if it actually converts a file. Thus far I've managed to convert only 3 movies out of 2 dozen dvd movies I've tried, and I experimented on 3 machines to just be sure.
I am not going to pay extra money to send away my ipod to have movies put on it that I already own, thats not a solution. your solution is to throw more money at the problem to fix it when in fact apple needs to seriously rethink about the blunder they have made and correct the problem.
first apple, needs to bundle/add software which can do the job, ie. quicktime pro with the mpeg encoder. This is their answer to the question people are asking "how to put dvd movies on my ipod". Next they need to have real support for the problem. Myself and my friend have been fighting with apple support for the past few weeks in trying to find a working solution to get dvd movies onto my ipod.
Using itunes to download movie trailers to my ipod is not the same as having a real movie. I find no interest in the poor selection of music videos either. I have my own collection. I just want to use what I have.
I find it dishonorable and a disgusting tactic by part of apple to sell a product for $500 that won't even let you take a dvd movie from your collection and enable you to put it on the ipod. its like when I first bought my 1g ipod and the battery failed after 1 month, it went from 8 hours of use down to 30min and when I called apple for help they said I had to send it in to be replaced for the price of a new one!!!!! and that is a very real fact!!! So now it sound like I should return my ipod, and buy a new ipod thru some website which will preload it with dvd movies. please, gimme a break. if they can do it then why not just document the process to do this and make the software available for owener of 5g ipods so they can in fact put video on their ipod.

for some reason every aplication I've tried seems to hang when it gets to the end of the movie or its some other problem that leads to a dead end.

Can you put Video Controls on an .flv video?

I have an .flv file in my .fla file. However, when I play the movie, it simply plays the movie along the timeline. Is there a way to put video controls on this file? Or do I need to use the videoPlayback option?
If I do need to use the videoPlayback option, how do I make sure that the video always work, even if I move it to a different computer (because the references to the movie will change)?

I guess I mean that when I specify the path to my flv file and I export the swf file, the swf won't play the flv video if I move the swf file to another computer. Does that make sense?
