Putting Video onto N95 8GB

I have tried to put an .avi file onto my phone using the nokia video manager but it just said converting video and didn't finish. I left it overnight just in case it was really slow but in the morning it was still in the same spot. i then tried to convert it and send it to the pc rather than straight to phone in case that worked but still no luck.
any ideas on how to get the video manager working or what settings i can use to convert myself as i can use Super converter. also if i convert it myself, how do i put it into the video folder on the phone?

Hi, did anyone know how to play a youtube videos on n95 8 gb Version 30. I did try but i can't see any picture or sound but i see a error says, video streaming server timed out on the screen.

Hi,
I was having the same problem.
I fixed mine though.
It is down to the rtsp (real time streaming protocol)port which is 554.
If you set on your mobile
lowest udp port:6970
Highest udp port:6999
Then on your home router set up port range triggering/fowrding so that
port (554 to 554) is forwaded to port (6970 to 6999)
to find port fowarding/trigger you need to type your router ip adress into your webbrowser adress bar its usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1
if you go to start then run and type cmd the enter when the black box apears (dos prompt) type ipconfig then enter. this will tell you your router address if you do not know it!
Also i only needed to specify a single port i.e 544 i did not need to put 544 -544 but some poeple will.
Also i used this range 6970 - 32000
this means your phones original settings will work fine!!! aslongs as proxy is off lol but i think that has been stated enough!! the main thing is the port forwarding on your router!!!

Putting video onto an iPod: How?

I need a seriously deep tutorial from someone about putting my DVDs and internet videos onto iTunes (and then onto my iPod). I use a Windows PC and need a step-by-step-by-step guide on how I go about doing this. Thank you very much

Now, one last thing. You said in a different thread that I need to use a DVD decryptor before I use Videora. What is it and how does it work? Also the machine that I have iTunes on can't play DVDs. I can do all the converting on a seperate machine that can play DVDs but if I put the file on my iPod external hard disk and transfer it over to my regular machine, will it be able to read the file? Even if it can't, will I still be able to put it on iTunes and susequently, my iPo and play it as normal??

Why two places for videos? (N95 8gb)

Why do i have two places for videos?
If I bluetooth myself a video and save it it goes into gallery. What if I want it in My Videos instead how do I move it? And i only want to see the video in My Videos and not in the gallery as well?
Also when I do a memory search it doesnt show the videos in My Videos up..
P.S what does the little sheild mean next to some videos?

There's a program called "File Manager" that lets you move/copy and delete files from your device. It's usually under Tools.
If you put videos in "My Videos" folder I think they don't show up in the Gallery. Also files in "Videos" don't show up in Video Center but they do in the Gallery.
What do you mean "memory search"?,
About the little shield, I have no idea what it means. I guess it's about the DRM protection, but I'm not 100% sure.

I can put videos onto my itunes movies section and even tell it to put on my iphone, it takes up space and everything, but it's not on my iphone when i click apply or sync... ive rebooted my phone closed and opened itunes and even redownloaded .. wt heck

i can put these videos from ytd onto my movies file and even select them into my phone but it will not show up on my phone i downloaded in 720 hd and really don't want to spend another day redownloading in lower quality... please help any advice is appreciated?!?!?!?!?!?1!!!!!????
i figured it out and needed to click manage manually!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was EXACTLY what I needed about the purchases I made from my device. However, is there a way to re-download other ones you've made from a computer? Because I realized some of them were not just purchased from my device.

Ijust got my new ipod video,and when putting videos onto it,,,,,

the audio doesnt come out,so i went on the help faq and it said i needed a third party video converter to put the videos on it.So does anyone here know of any?And if you do can you tell me how to operate it?Thank you in advance

Export settings in QT Pro for putting video onto Internet

I'm new to Quicktime and the video arena so could use some advice. I have a couple of questions.
1) What is the ideal codec setting for exporting AVI video when you want to put short clips on the WEB? I had thought it was H264 but I was experimenting with a 10 sec AVI clip (shot with a WEBCam in 320x240, 25fps, 49M) and found exporting to QT Movie using H264 (keeping size same etc) gave a 2.5M file and when hinted for streaming gave a 5M movie. When I exported to movie and streaming using MPEG4 codec both files were about 900K. My IE browser plays both the streamed and movie files as well; not very sure the difference between streaming and movie in this context??
2) I've just purchased a 30G (5G) iPod with FW 2.1. Ideally I wanted it to show video on TV, and was interested in the 640x480 support thinking this would scale better to TV screen. Haven't used the iPod yet but was checking other discussions on this forum and it seems its not that easy in QT to export video in H264 @ 640x480 for playback on iPod. People tend to advise the export for iPod option which is 320x240 instead. iPod states support for 640x480 in H264 @1.5Mbs and MP4 @ 2.5M so what is the problem?

You should download Videora iPod Convertor and the convert your movie files to iPod format with this. It is shareware. I am sorry that I could not provide the link, but their page was down at the moment. Do a search in Google. I am sure they will be up again soon.
If you don't have any movie files I will let somebody else help you to get that! Most is illeagal you know!

I can't put videos onto my iPod

I have the videos in a play list called videos, and when i try to upload them, it says upload complete but when i go to find them on my iPod or in my list of songs on my iPod in iTunes, they aren't there. I'm doing everything the manuals say to do but they won't go. and when i try to convert the selection for my iPod it gives me an error message and when i try it again i get this message that iTunes has experienced an error and has to be closed.

Try posting in the iTunes for Windows area. You'll be more likely to get a quick and accurate answer there than you will here in the iTunes for Macintosh forum. Good luck.

Go into your ipod preferences and check the box that will automaticly add the videos to your itunes video library. This is, if you are transferring a home video or a movie. After the movie has been saved to your libraryI, just drag your selection to the ipod icon. If you are buying a video off of itunes, it should save to your itunes library anyway. Hope this helps.

Use iTunes to put videos onto your iPod. Make sure you have the newest version (by pressing Help, then selecting check for iTunes updates).
Once you are sure you have the newest version of iTunes, just press File -> add file to library, or drag your video file onto the iTunes library. Then all you need to do is update your iPod.

I have the same problem. I haven't been able to find any suggestions or solutions. I found a free program called CopyTrans Manager that allows me to put videos onto my iTouch. You can download it at http://www.copytrans.net/. I have been using it for the last few days now and it has worked great.

N95 8GB video centre Shuting off

I have just converted a complete movie with N series video Manager and when i copied it into N95 8GB (The file size was about 600MB) from Gallery it is working fine every thing even the thumbnail but when i try to open video centre it shut's off by itself within few sec. i try to restore the orignal settings but still same can any one guide me what to do

I have tryed with super also but still same by the way did any puted full lenght movie in mp4 format in n95 8gb. may be it happens with all if you putted in videos folder you can access from gellery but when you go in video centre it shut's off the centre even the other clips you can not watch but if you putted in my video folder it will not shown in gallery and video centre will keep on shuting off today i have upgraded the software of my n95 8gb to
v 11.0.026 but still same i will try with other formats and see what happen hope some one finds the solution

N95 8GB Video Centre Shutting Down

My problem with my N95 8GB, the video centre application automatically closes itself after a few seconds when I open it.
The video centre work fine when it was brand new but as soon as I put my Sim Card in, I started to have problems.
I would really appreciate some help on this issue as it is driving me crazy

The workaround is to load a JPG PNG or GIF picture icon (small file 90 KB), named EXACTLY the same as the videos in the My Videos folder where the videos are stored (or where ever the videos from video center are stored)
