I have one Icloud account for my iPhone 6 plus and my ipad. I have no stoage left. So if I set up an Icloud account for the ipad it will have its own storage then I can take it off and open up some storage on my phone.

In case you're not clear - iPad/iPhone storage, and iCloud storage, are totally separate. Buying more iCloud storage does not give you more storage space on your device. Your device has a fixed storage space for apps and data (e.g., 16GB - which is more like 12GB in real terms). iCloud storage just allows you to store more documents, mail, photos, etc, in the cloud.

Forgotten RESTRICTIONS Passcode
- Restore from a backup that was make before you added the Restrictions passcode. If you restore from a backup made with the Restrictions passcode the Restrictions passcode is also restored. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod. . Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.

Should OS be in its own partition on a 40G drive?

After fighting with constant kernel panics in strange places (i.e., quitting Safari, booting Finder) I've decided to do an erase and install from the original panther disc and do the upgrades back 10.4.11 to see if that solves the problems.
I've never partitioned my HD, but I'm wondering if there is a reason to put the system in its own partition. If so, how much of the 40G do I dedicate to it?
I am the only user, so I want everything at the shared level and only my music and work files on my user space.

As Malcolm says, don't partition. You have a relatively small drive and partitioning will cramp OSX which needs a lot of free disk space to run optimally. The only reason I can see to put OSX on its own partition is if you want to have multiple copies on a computer. The other reason to partition is for convenience in making backups but that's going beyond your immediate question.

Script for placing an image in its own paragraph (for eBooks, etc)

This is for flowing text formats.
With the cursor placed at the beginning of the paragraph, the script needs to:
- paste an image from the clipboard at that insertion point
- place a break paragraph return (to put the image in its own paragraph)
- apply a paragraph style to the image (zero leading)
- add an XML tag "image"

- After you did a previous manual "copy", from within InDesign or in just about any other program, app.paste() will do a regular paste operation on your current cursor position.
- use app.selection[0].insertionPoints[-1].contents = "\r" to 'insert' a paragraph return before your current cursor position.
- use app.selection[0].paragraphs.previousItem(app.selection[0].paragraphs[0]) to set properties of the paragraph before the one your cursor is in (as you may already know, scripting usually does not move the cursor around).
- so, since 'allGraphics' is the property that holds images for paragraphs, app.selection[0].paragraphs.previousItem(app.selection[0].paragraphs[0]).allGraphics[0] targets 'the first graphic in the previous paragraph that you are currently in', and you can set its properties in turn to anything you'd like.
As for the finishing touch, setting the XML tag of an image, I don't know how to do that ... there doesn't seem to be a 'tag' method for graphics.

Install Windows XP in its own partition?

Hello, all! I have questions on partitioning for Windows XP Home.
I just recently purchased an Athlon 64 & MSI Neo motherboard, and I'll be getting a Maxtor 60GB Serial ATA hard drive soon. I'm looking for more speed in XP, so a coworker suggested I put Windows XP on its own partition, and data on the other.
My questions are:
1) How much space should I allow for XP's partition? After installation, will that many files be added to the partition over time?
2) What are the advantages/disadvantages of giving XP its own partition?
3) When installing data to the second partition, should I allow a Program Files folder to be created, or just install the applications' folders straight to the root of the partition?
Is installing Windows XP in its own partition the "thing to do"? Any information is appreciated. Thanks!

this time i never bothered my array is my c drive all 149gb of it
and i see no difference
if you dont have another drive to back stuff up on then do it for sure
then you can format c but not loose the mp3 collection
but most cases a game loaded in another partition does not work right any way after c is reloaded and needs installing again any way

I have a 5s with an apple account and wife has a iPad air with its own cell number. Does the iPad need it's own apple account to use it's own phone number so her FaceTime calls are not sent to my phone. The issue with the A1400 is that like most economy compact cameras, they will not have very fast focus times in indoor lighting situations. Many people have gone to entry level DSLR's (Canon T3i) or micro 4/3 cameras. They are fairly expensive, but a late model refurbished T3i can sometimes be found with a kit lens for about $300.00. With Auto and scene modes, as well as full manual modes, these are very versatile cameras that focus very quickly, even in lower lighting situations. Canon is not really into the micro 4/3 cameras, instead they are focusing on the new G7x and G1x cameras, which are way out of your price range. The A720 is still available used at some places such as KEH camera, but you'll need to check often as their stock changes constantly. Obviously the DSLR's don't use AA batteries, but the T3i is good for about 600 photos (or more) per charge.
My refurbished DSLR was practically brand new condition when I got it. I could not find any sign of wear at all, so I feel they are a real bargain. These are rugged cameras that are made to last. The A1400 is a $99.00 camera, so it's not intended for heavy usage, plus the image quality of a DSLR (even entry level) is far better than the A1400. That would be my recommendation.

unfortunately - you can not. you can't even buy outlook by itself at microsoft's own website.
does it have to be outlook? maybe you can get away with using something else that's outlook compatible.
how about trying Thunderbird for Mac OS?
or maybe you can call apple and let them know you purchase the wrong version - they might give you a break and just pay the difference for the home and business version.

Is it true that the ipod touch 5th gen bends on its own? I mean if i put it in my front pocket or in my bag?

so I just got a new itouch 5g cause a lot of people said it was great and they've said that it has a stronger build than that of the 4g. So is it true that if I put my touch in my front pocket it will bend on its own? cosidering that maybe I wear pants that have tight pockets.

I've not seen any objective comparisons that tested the bend resistance, so I can't offer any sort of opinion. I would expect either iPod to be subject to bending if kept in your pocket when you sit down. That's a lot of stress and leverage. I've even seen keys bend, and they're harder to bend than an electronic device.
My advice; don't keep your iPod in your pocket.

IMac wakes on its own after putting it to sleep

Just got my iMac back from the shop with a new hard drive put in. After setting it up, it seems to wake from sleep on its own after a few minutes. Only change since before sending it in to be fixed (when i had no issues with sleep) is that I now have it set up to access the internet thru a wireless router. Could that cause the waking up? should i try turning Airport off before sleeping to see if that works?

Have you tried to repair permissions/disk? I'm not exactly sure how your system is set up, but your wireless internet shouldn't be to blame [in theory]. When you put your iMac to sleep, it should be turning off the AirPort card [along with various other components]. It would be a possibility that if you had your mac hooked in by ethernet and you had something like "Wake on ethernet ring" checked in System Prefs. [that your mac could randomly wake up].
I almost wonder if it's a firmware problem. Or maybe a problem with a Mac OS X update, I'm also contemplating that it could help to download a combined updater and try to install.

I'll think on it. I know there's some idea that I'm missing here which could help, but I just can't get it to come to mind.

Is it normal for your iPod touch 4th gen screen to come off on its own?

So I have had my iPod touch for a while now. I understand that things get old and fall apart eventually, but what confuses me is how does the screen come off on its own? I noticed it a few weeks ago when I was reading a book that some light was able to come out from the top area of the screen where the camera is located. I started to investigate about it and turns out the the top area of the iPod had came loose. A few days later I noticed that it started to get worse. It started to allow me to see the components on the inside. Then my screen turned off not allowing my to turn it back on when I later found out that one of the cables that connect the screen had came lose and popped off the connection for it. What should I do? Please help me and tell me what I should do to fix it.
