PWM i915 intel-gpu-tools - how to know reg address

Hi
I found I face the screen flickering issue which causes eyestrain described here https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/ba … 15_only.29 and here https://01.org/linuxgraphics/documentat … tool-guide ; I have Intel HD Graphics/Sandy Bridge/Bay Trail;
By default I have 60Hz but EDID says clock 77.000Mhz
I tried to run util :
- intel_reg_read 0xC8254
- intel_reg_read 0xC6204
...these both addresses output is "0x0"
So my question is... how do I know what reg address I have? Or something is wrong with intel-gpu-tools?
p.s. I am not 100% sure it is the screen flickering problem only (so please advise any helpful another suggestion(s)) because I do suspect a wrong conf(s) combination or similar... Currently I came from sna to uxa to make rendering more clear and this worked a bit but still it seems like screen is micro-shaking or I don't know how to describe the effect; So I do need your advise where to look at...
Thanks

    Hello,
    I know the personal number. How to know the address number on ADR* tables ?
    I need some information from ADR2 and ADR6 and I know the personal number (on PA30 transaction ).
    There's some MF or we can do it by some table ?
    Tks.

    Hi
    You can get the user name from PA0002 passing personal number.
    If you know user name you can go to USR21 table, enter login name and get  ADDRNUMBER value.

  • How to know email address Apple Store

    Who can tell the e-mail address, Apple Store Houston Galleria 5085 Westheimer Rd. Houston, TX 77056

    If you didn't have service with AT&T, I doubt that they will unlock your iPhone even with a receipt. But if they've asked for one, you can try the following email address:
    [email protected]
    I have no idea if it is correct, and if it is whether they can send you a receipt, but it's the only email address I can find that might work. If it does not, then you'll have to find some way to call the store.

  • HP Protect tool password manager not working with the new version of Mozilla: I got this alert: "Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (dpql) isn't associated with any program." please help

    I have an HP ProBook 4520s. I have been using HP Protect tool's Password manager to store and manage my passords for all Login websites in Firefox 3.6. As a result, I just swiped my fingerprint to log on to any website.
    After I installed the version 4 of Firefox, my all my login details do not work anymore. I have tried to reset them but I repeatedly get this error: "Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (dpql) isn't associated with any program."
    something like this would have been passed onto the address: "dpql://c:\program%20files%20(x86)\hewlett-packard\hp%20protecttools%20security%20manager\bin\dpminionlineids.dll/qlinkload.htm#id=2".
    Although the password manager works with Internet Explorer 9, I need it to work with Firefox 4 as this is my preferred browser.
    Please help. Thank you!

    I guess this means that IE is more user friendly for HP Password Manager finger swipe recall of passwords, a favorite of mine. I still don't see a post from Firefox as to why they haven't produced fix. So I'll switch to IE until things change. I don't see value in downgrading to a Firefox version that's no longer going to be supported.

  • MSI GE70 2PE: How to turn off onboard Intel GPU?

    Hi everybody,
    According to the system specifications my notebook must have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M graphic device. However, after installing Linux Mint 17 i noticed that the only video device available is an Intel GPU (integrated Intel GPU). When i enter my BIOS, i cannot find any option to disable the onboard Intel GPU, maybe i missed it somewhere. Can anyone tell me how i can disable the onboard (integrated) Intel GPU so i can utilize the NVIDIA graphic device.
    All help/hint/tips will be very  much appreciated!
    Thanks.

    Hi Nomko
    I'm not sure about Linux (I'm windows based) but would guess that it needs the nvidia linux drivers loaded before the system would recognise the second screen card, the system by default assumes that the intel chip is the one to be used.
    Perhaps have a look here for drivers

    Hi Blender,
    I don't think this is the solution. If i want to use my NVidia graphic device, the Intel GPU must be disabled. Linux doesn't see the Nvidia graphic device at all right now and installs the driver for the Intel GPU as this is set as the default graphic device.
    But thanks anyway!

    You should update graphics drivers, graphics hardware, or use the MESA version.

    It seems that my GPU (Intel GMA 3100) is not supported anymore. Two thoughts:
    (1) Could you try changing a setting for your Garmin plugin. Here's what I mean:
    Open the Add-ons page using either:
    * Ctrl+Shift+a
    * orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
    In the left column, click Plugins.
    Find your Garmin plugin change "Ask to Activate" to "Always Activate".
    Your system information seems to list two different versions of a similarly named plugin. I'm not sure whether that is causing a problem.
    (2) Does Garmin's documentation specify any extra steps to set up Firefox, other than installing its add-ons?

  • [SOLVED] i915: no gpu acceleration with 3.18.0

    Hi,
    I compiled the new vanilla kernel using the same .config as the previous one (also self compiled), but with 3.18 intel gpu accleration fails to start. Xorg.bin log says "Failed to submit rendering commands, disabling acceleration". As a result Gnome is painfully choppy and watching a video is impossible. This happens on both my first gen i7 laptop and Core2 desktop, so Ironlake and Earlake.
    Another machine with a nvidia card and proprietary modules compiled with dkms seems unaffected.
    Here are my Xorg log and dmesg

    Bug report with likely fix: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/43143

  • I downloaded Newest mozilla yesterday, adobe updated, and now when I click a YouTube video I get a box saying "Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (rtsp) isn't associated with any program." and can't watch any videos?

    I downloaded the latest version of Mozilla Firefox yesterday, full and complete, and I am actually using it right now. The only problem I have had is upon clicking any YouTube video, the box pops up saying "Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (rtsp) isn't associated with any program." But there are no directions or suggestions on how to address this problem. Ive looked at YouTube add-ons and none of them really seem related. Upon the finish of the new Mozilla, I also was prompted to upgrade the flash player, and did so without any trouble. I am only guessing this is an extension/plug-in problem. I really am quite confused!

  • I have installed HP2035n. But when i try to open the embedded web server, i get the error "Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (fe80) isn't associated with any program." What is the possible solution?

    I typed in the IPv6 address of the printer in the address feild of firefox.

    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
    *Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

    Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs.<br />
    You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br />
    Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.<br />

  • Cloud Tool - How does it work?

    We can't figure out how to get the Cloud Tool to work - it just puts down a red wavy line that stops wherever you click on the page - I want it to circle stuff but all I can do is make stupid lines....
    It doesn't work like the circle, oval or box tool.
    I guess no one know how it works......

    Thanks,
    Is there a key combination you can hold down to make it roundish or square
    or scale it proportionately?
    Please don¹t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
    Thanks!

    Subject: Cloud Tool - How does it work?
    The cloud tool works in a similar fashion to a polygon tool. Click to draw
    lines keep clicking until you get back close to the origin. The Cloud will
    close itself and open a comment box for your use.

  • [ASK] How to know the number of usage of each Atomic Service ??

    I correct my question:
    *How to know the number of usage of each Atomic Service by the Domain & Enterprise Services?*
    I want to see the number of usage of each atomic service(AS) by other services (DS & ES)
    ex:
    es_A  ----->  ds_B   (1x)    ----->    as_B    (2x) --> so as_B is accessed by es_A twice (2x)
    es_A  ----->  ds_C   (2x)    ----->    as_C    (2x) --> so as_C is accessed by es_A 4times (4x)
    es_A  ----->  ds_B   (2x)    ----->    as_D    (3x) --> so as_D is accessed by es_A 6times (6x)
    es_B  ----->  ds_B   (1x)   ----->    as_E    (1x) --> so as_E is accessed by es_B once (1x)
    es_B  ----->  ds_C   (3x)    ----->    as_F    (2x) --> so as_F is accessed by es_B 6times (6x)
    es_B  ----->  ds_B   (4x)    ----->    as_G    (1x) --> so as_G is accessed by es_B 4times (4x)
    etc..
    Is there any tool in OSB, WLS, BPEL Console or Java Developer to support it?
    Thank you...

    Their are two ways to do this
    1. In the sbconsole, when you click on the proxy or any resource name, you will see information about number of references and referenced by as two parameters. Click on the number you will drill down into exact schemas, business service, split joins, etc it refers and who all refers this resource.--> Where can I see the information?
    2. In the OEPE, eclipse you can see the same in the "Reference" view of the OSB perspective.--> I'm using Java Developer right now, does it work?Thank you1. You can see the reference in: sbconsole -> Resource View -> Click on Proxy or any resource name -> it will show Ref: <n> some number and -> Click on the number. Do you see this?
    2. JDeveloper should also have a resource view, but have not tried it though
