From what I've been able to gather, you will need an SNMP manager, you then point the px at the manager from the UI.
That is the extent of our firmware's involvement in the process.

Same issue here.
I just waited a few minutes and the interface went down and back up, this time it was a L3 interface.
My guess is that it was booting the switch module IOS, and it detected it until it was fully booted:

How to configure SNMP on DMS or DMP?

for the first, English is not my mother tounge, so I may write a lot of mistake of my words.
One of my customer want to infomation of DMP that is down or up with SNMP tool.
I had download the tool named 'SNMP TESTER' and test with DMP, and DMS.
But the DMP has no SNMP configure set module or command. Only DMM has one sections of it's administrator - settings.
I changed the DMM setting like this

I'm not close to SNMP. So, I hope your experts will show me greatful kindness.
just two thing that the customer wants is simple.
OID number status 2 code and show them to within SNMP Tester. (UP & Down 2 status OID code needed)
How can I test the SNMP service is working and Showing the status of DMP within SNMP Tester?

snmp-server community test1234 rw view DefaultSuper
This is basically wide open to anyone who knows the password. This should be enough to get you started then you can tweak additional options as you go. Give this a test, see if you can do what you're trying to do then modify this sample to work for your security needs.

In fact, I already found this doc in oracle, but it just show executables I have to install and my question can I install these executables.
I've already installed Windows SNMP agent, configured and testedwith disk space checkings, but it doesn't work fine with Oracle.
I launched Oracle Universal Installer and I checked Installed Products, but I haven't found how to install SNMP agents for oracle.
How can I add Oracle Peer Master Agent and Encapsulator to my oracle installation?

How to configure SNMP on SG300 using CLI

Does anyone know how to configure SNMP on the Cisco SG300 switches? I have the SG300-10P. I am not fully familiar with the new command line interface on this device, it was easy on the IOS but finding it a nightmare on this one.
I put the following command in but it didnt work.
snmp-server view Interfaces interfaces included
snmp-server community ACB123 ro 10.x.x.x view default
I tried to follow the guidelines on the cisco website but thats all Web interface based, i can only access the switch remotely via CLI.

oh that is somewhat vague, but let me try...
in order to enable snmp access to an interface in a vrf you need to enable MPP (management plane protection) in that vrf.
Something like this:
control-plane
management-plane
inband
interface Loopback100
allow all
if you have this and it doesn't work, a config snippet and some debugs (like debug snmp packet) will help to define what to do next.

Hi!!! I have CiscoWorks 2000 Rwan with IPM. I installed and configure IPM to send snmp traps when the treshold is excedeed. I can see on the graph that it is exceeded but I can not verify that it sending snmp traps.Where to view these traps and how to configure snmp reciver host?
Can I use CW2k syslog analyzer automated action to generate mail when get this trap?

But, you'll need to specify a dedicated NMS
server to receive these traps. The following

Port '22' is already in use (px2-300d)

I used to be able to ssh to my px2-300d, using ssh -l root root px2-300s.local password: sohorootpassword
Suddenly, today, trying to 'Allow remote access for support (SSH and SFTP)' on the Support Diagnostocs page of my NA (http://px2-300d.local./manage/diagnostics.html) I am unable to set the 'Root Password', because when I hit 'Apply', it comes back with a pop-up window saying 'Port '22' is already in use'.
I tried to restart the NAS (and my home computer), but the problem remains, and I ran out of ideas how to get back to being able to ssh to my NAS.
The reason I need this is a) occasionally I must fix some files in a way that would be a chore by using sftp, which somewhat surprisingly works, as I assume sftp is using port 22!, b) I can't stand having a computer (and the NAS is one of them) and not be able to login to it.

Hi pbernus,
Is SFTP enabled on the protocols page? You may need to disable it to enable SSH since they use the same port number.

I am sorry to tell you, but the Cisco IPS Sensors do not send Syslog messages. Your only options for sending signature event information are:
SDEE (an TLS Encrypted XML formatted message) the sensor is the SDEE Host and your event receiver (MARS, IME, Intelitactics, etc) is the client.
SNMP Traps - You need to set the "Action" on each signature you want the sensor to send a trap.

How to configure AP of 887VA-W-E-K9?

OK. I have this C887VA-W-E-K9... It's up and running as a router on VDSL no problems. That was a doddle.. But how the heck do you configure the AP side of it? I've configured an 850W before. That was easy. I've configured all sorts of cisco devices. But for the life of me I can't figure out the integrated AP802 module in this router.
And i can't find any docs that seem to relate to this AP... I have docs for Aironet 1100's... 1200's... And others. And they're all configured just slightly differently... The biggest problems i have at the moment is trying to configure WPA... But the docs I can find just don't match what the AP is obviously expecting... Some AP's seem to have the SSID and SSID parameters configured under the interface itself... Some have it defined separately... The closest I got is a doc called 'Cisco Wireless ISR and HWIC Access Point Configuration Guide' but when following this I get as far as

I found the problem with the radio... It wanted the encryption for the specific vlan specified in my config.. So because the dot11 ssid was on vlan 10, it wanted

PX2-300d NIC not Gb?

This tech specs show that my PX2-300d should have Gb NICs, but I cannot get them to operate at that speed. I am using it as a test datastore in a VMWare ESXi enviroment. The vSphere client shows that it is only connecting at 100 (fast ethernet) speed. I replaced the cable with a known good one, no difference. I tried connecting both ports of the PX2 to a switch that would indicate what speed it was connecting to, and both just registered 100 speeds, and not the 1000 to show it was connecting at Gb speeds.
I am running the 4.1.102.29716 firmware (current as of 10-09-14). Is there any other setting I am missing that will allow me to run Gb speeds?

If the network hardware that your are connecting the unit to is capable of Gb speeds the unit should auto switch to the faster connection option.
This could be a firmware glitch on your device. I recommend contacting support to look further into the issue.
If you have not already tried, a pin-hole reset might help before contacting support since the network configurations would be cleared. to try this see Using the device reset button

PX2-300d NVR - camera/license questions

Hi guys,
I am looking into getting a home monitoring solution with the px2-300d NVR.
What i can't find is:
1- What camera's can I use? (brand/type list?)
2- I read about licenses. What does it cost? One off? Recurring cost? All cameras? Per camera?
3- Is there a good guide that describes how to setup the access from outside, on the internet (via web and mobile app)?
