PXI-5620 "No Device Found"

I am unable to get my PXI-5620 to do anything besides appear in NI MAX and pass a self test.
I have tried running several NI-SCOPE example VIs, and the NI-SCOPE Signal Express VI on the target "TransOsc" but both fail to find the 5620 module (It does not appear on the I/O pull down menu even after selecting "refresh").
Attached below is a screen shot with the following items displayed;
NI MAX (to prove that the 5620 module is indeed recognized by MAX, and the proper software is installed on the target)
The project  heirarchy ( the VI I am writing to talk to the module through the chassis labeled "TransOsc" is labeled  "untitled 3")
The NI-SCOPE Express VI configuration page (showing "No Device Found")

After consulting the  readme for NI-SCOPE 4.1 I found that
"The run-time installer does not support the NI 5102, NI 5112, NI 5620, or NI 5621"
I am running RT 13.0 on the target. Is this why I cant interface with the module?

  • PXI 5620 not linking

I have Labview 2011 and I am using PXI 5600 downconverter with PXI 5620 as the digitizer..First I had the problem that PXI 5620 was not compatible with DAQmx so the device did not have a self  test in MAX 5.0.. Also due to PXI 5600 failed the test.. Then to check the basic functionality by   RFSA from Start>>All Programs>>National Instruments>>NI-RFSA.. But when I ran the test I got the error "The down converter is busy.Internal state machine may be locked up" .I cant figure out where the problem is.....   Also can someone tell me how to link PXI 5620 with PXI 5600.. Thanks

all the other hardware on the PXI chasis is working fine...more specifically I have 5600 and 5620 as RFSA  and  5610 and 5421 are RFSG..RFSG is working perfectly fine .It passes the self tests and also runs examples..Problem is with RFSA.5600 does not pass the self test.5620 digitizer passes the self test in traditional NI-DAQ devices.  pic # 1
I havent tried 5660 with any other software or any other slot..
As for examples.I tried to initialize the 5660 with Labview VIs.I got the error "the down converter is busy its internal state machine may be locked up" pic # 2
And when I ran the example I got the error" the attribute is not supported when using NI RFSA with an external digitizer module"pic # 3
and while running NI RFSA soft panel it gives the error that "RF downconverter was detected but it has a missing digitzer or LO "...
Can there be any problem with the connecting cables?

    Problem Description:
Yesterday I updated my laptop's BIOS to F 5A - latest available on HP Website. Since then I have lost the bluetooth functionality, which was wroking just fine prior to the update. Now the system doesn't find a bluetooth device.
    What I have already done:
    1. Switched back to previous versions of BIOS (available on HP Website coz I didn't note the BIOS version before I updated it). - That didn't work.
    2. Reseated the wireless card - Didn't work.
    3. Manually checked the connection of bluetooth module to the motherboard - Connection was fine but it still didn't work.
    4. Uninstalled the bluetooth driver and reinstalled it (HP integrated module WIDCOM) - still didn't work
    5. Installed HP Wireless Agent - Didn't work
    6. Installed HP Integrated module driver along with HP Wireless Agent - Didn't work
    7. Installed Ubuntu to check if its recognizing the device - Even its not recognizing the device which it used to do earlier.
    8. Sadly there's no BIOS setting in Setup which I can change to correct the bluetooth behaviour (Phoenix BIOS with limited interface).
After all the research, I am posting this because I am unable to find a sloution to this problem on my own. I request the members to please help.
    Uday

I got the bluetooth working. Had to dismantle the laptop and found that a small switch was loose.

  • PXI 5620 Initialize Error

    Hi
I am running into a problem. It has been a week but couldn't figure it out. I have PXI 5620 Digitizer and Labview 2010 SP1. The error only occurs when I run EXE, not in debug.
    Here is the error:

Have you taken a look at this KB?
I can't see your whole VI (or potential sub VI's), so it might be helpful to post that.  It seems like you are passing a VI reference name at somepoint, and when this is compiled into an executable, it is no longer looking in the correct location.
Are you building an installer or an executable?

  • Error message in Audition 2.0 when trying to burn a CD: no devices found

I am using Windows 7 and Adobe Audition 2.0.  on a new laptop (Asus).  When i try to burn a CD from the 'CD' workspace I get the error message 'no devices found'.  I have burned other CDs on this machine separately from Audition so i know the  Matsushita CD/DVD burner works.  How do I get Audition to recognize the burner device?  Thanks, Spintal

The one time this happened to me, it turned out it was the fault of a Windows update and doing a system restore back to the first state prior to that update fixed it.
From the number of times this crops up I suspect there are some other causes too--another thing I'd try is updated the drivers for the CD drive.

  • No volume control elements and/or devices found

Hi, I recently installed Arch Linux and I followed the tutorials on how to configure it. At this moment I have Gnome installed and it is working fine, I only have one problem.
Every time if I try to access volume control I get the following error:
"No volume control elements and/or devices found"
I'm relatively new to Linux so it might be me just being stupid(Maybe I just don't have the right packages installed) but I've searched the web and I didn't find anything that could help, I also searched this site but there are only a few things about sound problems. I think the problem is caused because Linux is not detecting my sound card (its an on board sound card) or maybe I have not given the command to detect it/activate it. In Google I've found that 'lsmod' and 'lspci' commands are for detecting drivers, so I executed those in my terminal and put them here, I hope this might help fixing my problem.

make sure u have adding the user to audio group in order to access sound device.
    gpasswd -a user audio
Yes, I think that was the problem. Anyways, I reinstalled Arch Linux and everything is working fine now.

  • ''No output devices found'' message on my Mac Pro with Lion... Any suggestions? What should i do to resolve the problem?

I turn on my mac without hearing the chime boot sound from Apple.. after that im always turning on my Motu (extermal soundcard firewire) i still got that message, by audio midi setup my Motu appears from some minutes and then goes away again.. The same time that my Motu appears i simply start a mp3 file to check if i got a sound but still no luck... Made all possible updates but still no sound.. I'm using Logic pro 9 and have lots of thing here to do.. Try also a hotline from Apple to call but im waiting like more than an hour and still no answer... Please any suggestions? I am afraid it can be a hardware problem
This problem came for the first time after i made an update in Avid Protools...
After that i tryed everything and still got no sound... Next step i FORMAT my Mac Pro.. Back everything UP and reinstall Lion and still '' NO OUTPUT DEVICES FOUND'', i performed a clean install.. Thats why i am afraid it can be a Hardware problem.. So, if anyone of you guys know something about it, please share your knowledge with me..
    Thanks in advance

Try a different user account and see if the problem persists.

  • Boot Camp partition moved to external:"No bootable device found"

I have just installed a new SSD, moved my old OSX partition to the new drive and am currently using the old hdd in an enclosure as an external hard drive.
I can access all my files on my old OSX partition and my bootcamp partition when connected to my laptop. However, when i try to boot from my old bootcamp partition i get the "No bootable device found -- insert boot disk and press any key" message. That is when i boot from Startup Disk and target the bootcamp partion.
When restarting my computer with the external harddrive connected and pressing the option key i only get "SSD" and "Recovery" as options, it does not recognize the external harddrive as a startup option at all.
Is there anything i can do to use my old boot camp partition again? It worked perfectly fine before being external to the computer.
My computer is a 2011 mbp with Mavericks, my boot camp patition is installed with windows 7.

Microsoft requires that the partition for Windows be on an internal disk. It will not see an external drive as bootable.

  • 'No bootable device found - insert boot disk and press any key'

    Dear all,
I just tried to install a version of Windows 7 on my Mac yesterday and used bootcamp for this purpose. Unfortunately the process could not be completed since bootcamp did not partition the hard drive as NTFS. I had to terminate the installation process and whenever I start up my Mac Mini now see a black screen telling me 'No bootable device found - insert boot disk and press any key'. I have tried to push the Option/Alt key to select the boot device but this does not work. I created a USB with a version of OSX to start from externally which also did not work and I used an older hard drive with a fully OSX system and tried to boot from that which also did not work. I am out of ideas and hope that one of you can help me.
    Best regards
    Bernhard

OS X cannot as standard write to NTFS partitions so it is likely that initially the Boot Camp utility created a FAT32 partition. This is not however a problem, when you run the Windows 7 installer either you can manually and specifically reformat that partition to NTFS or it may even do this automatically because it knows that Windows 7 can only be installed in to a NTFS partition.
Obviously if you are using the Windows 7 installer to manually reformat a partition make sure you select the right one!
It sounds like the Boot Camp utility got as far as setting the new 'Windows' partition to be the choice to boot from but of course it is currently empty. However if you are using a Windows CD/DVD disc to install from you should still be able to insert it, turn on the Mac, and hold down the letter 'C' to boot from it. If you are using a USB memory stick to install from then plug it in, hold down the Option/Alt key and turn on the Mac. Hopefully it will then list the USB drive as one of the boot choices or at least list the normal Mac boot disk.
With a Bluetooth keyboard the above keys for use during boot up may not work as mentioned by mjl2013.

  • No Device Found [Canon Vixia HF20]

My HD camcorder does not show up when I try to connect to "Media". Yes, I am connected via USB but I continually get "No Device Found."

I used "Device Manager" to look at the specific USB port and it showed "Mass Storage Device". I have yet to see it in Windows Explorer.
    This is what I did...
I plugged a USB drive into the port to see which port in Device Manager I was working with. It showed up as a "Mass Storage Device" -- good. I removed the device, plugged in the camcorder to the same port and refreshed Device Manager. It could be that it did not refresh properly and still tagged the port with Mass Storage Device.
I would try it again to verify but I have put the camera away as I am getting ready to go on a trip. I was hoping to download everything off the camera before I left but I'll just have to tackle this problem once I return.
    [Update ... April 26, 2010]
My Canon Vixia HF20 comes with a software bundle from Pixela Corp. Supposedly, this software allows me to download movies from the camcorder to my computer. Well, it doesn't work on Windows 7. I downloaded and installed the latest "updater" from Pixela, which is supposed to fix the problem of interfacing with Windows 7. That didn't work either. So now I have this absolutely useless camcorder. Thanks Canon! You can be sure I'll never touch another one of your camcorders again!

    Hi All,
I have implemented SA System in my RPD as I wanted to send emails to obi/non-obi users.

I found this error in S_NQ_ERR_MSG table.
I have an entry in SA_User table, and when I login to OBI using same user, I can see my delivery profile automatically set as expected because of SA System Implementation.
But its not working when I want to send mail to same user using iBots conditional request.
Please advise what I am doing wrong here??
    Thanks in Advance !!..
Well .. now the No devices issue is resolved if i select the checkbox for Interactive Dashboard and Active Delivery Profile in the Destination tab of iBot.
But still No mail received :(

The SA System columns in Presentation and logical area should be exactly as expected.
In my case, the correct column should be 'Time Zone' but I had it as 'Timezone'. :)
