Hi,
We are updated Latest Service tax Notes regarding Sec CESS.
Problem is When we want to post Monthly utilization Sec Cess on Service tax not displaying in Utilization for Sec CESS(Bottom,Purchase Side)
1)ECSTAXCR
2)SERTAXCR is there but SECTAXCR not there in Production but in Development all are there.
Problem only for Service.
Pls Suggest me how to solve this problem.

Issue in downloading the file to application server (background)

i am downloading the PIR records to the application server.
the program is running fine .
i m using background coz i m downloading large no of records (>5000)
my actually target is 28000 records. we are spliting it up into atleast 7000 records at a time.
for 1000 records , it is taking     217 secs        (this is fine)
for 2000 records , it is taking    1647 secs        (not satisfactory)
for 5130 records , it is crossed more than 10647 secs   still running (not acceptabe)
why is it increasing in expotenial of time for increase in the records
why not ~1000 sec for 5130 records...??
somebody help me , the hav check the extended check and fine tuned the code.
it is a modification of standard program RM06IBIE for download of PIR records.

Hi,
It is definitely because of the poor performace in the code only.
Try using, FOR ALL ENTRIES, SORT BY key fields, DELETE ADJACENT DUPLICATES from the internal table COMPARING key fields, etc.
If you have already used all the possible ones, then check the table from which it is picking the data.
Whether they are using the primary key fields in the where condition, if they are using some other fields, then go for an option of secondary index if required.

I need to understand better, what can be done with sync and what cannot

i setup 2 windows boxes + 2 linux boxes to sync and got a mess in less than a day. apparently, i do not understand, what it does/should do, and what not.
As one having done work in distributed environments, namely in database replication scenarios, i understand, there have to be limitations, especially, as all of my 4 boxes are running most of the time.
next, i found, that copying profiles wouldnt have worked either, as the windows boxes (have to) use different add-ons/plugins compared to linux (like fireshot - to give a simple example - needed a replacement on linux). - So just moving profiles doesnt help. But the promise to catch open windows/tabs, history, and so forth doesnt seem to work either. Maybe TabMixPlus is killing the whole mechanism?
I found very detailed documentation on where to click to get it all started, but nothing about the internals nor limitations, thus being very disappointed now to find sync actually NOT working at all.
Furthermore, while setting up the whole thing, every machine had a "sync setting" as to how to use that one machine: initial distribution/sync/receiver only/and so forth. Does this only concern the initial setup? - I wasnt able to see this configuration option ever again to be able to change it after the initial setup had been done.
So i obviously need to understand better... as to me it looks like some real messy replication scenario, with not all backends sharing the same tables. And apparently adding/removing add-ons needs to get replicated manually anyway.
What time delay do i have to expect? When shall i use "Syncronize" manually? And so on...
I mean: I trusted Mozilla solution more than any other one, but it doesnt seem to live up to my expectations.

915G combo HDD CD-DVD question

Hi I have a new 915G combo MB with latest bios etc.
Here is the question, i have Boot Hdd on the blue IDE1 as c/s the 2 CD-DVD CD/R-RW on IDE 2 as c/s,
in bios it reports
Pri master not detected
pri secondary not detected
sec master not detected
sec secondary not detected
thi master detected maxtor 160gb
thi secondary not detected
the 2 CD rom detected in raid.
Ok it works but why isnt the maxtor detected as primary master as normal when in IDE1 slot?
also why the bios does not detect the 2 CD roms.
Also if i disable the on board raid, and use IDE bus mastering in bios the HDD light is lit all the time.

IDE bus mastering is not for the RAID controller. Check in the Integrated Peripherals, look for the RAID controller settings, either it's disabled, RAID, or IDE. If you only seen Disabled and RAID, then you'll need to go into the RAID controller setup instead of BIOS setup to change to IDE. If still can't do this, then you have to follow my suggestion in the first place.
I guess you've already have the perception on MSI board and I don't think anyone can convince you further. Good luck to you on whatever board you use in the future. You're welcome back here if you have any MSI related questions.

i have created a normal po with tax code vb. maintained condition records for bed, ecs,secs.when i am capturing excise invoice, it is not showing secs. it is showing bed as bed in po+ irs 16.00, and it is showing ecs. so can anybody explain from where, this irs16.00 is coming and why it is not showing secs ? in invoice, it is same as po.please reply...

see if your basic price is 100 INR then BED on it is 16% now the total cost i.e --> cost of product + Exduty chaged on it hence it becomes as 100+ 16 = 116 . hope u got my point .

What are the steps applying incremental backups to standby database 11g

I have built 11g none ASM standby database from ASM RAC Database. Now I want to apply incremental backup to the standby database from primary but not sure how to do it. I tried following and I had an error “ORA-01103: database name 'ins-prim' in control file is not 'ins-sec'”
1- I have configured standby database with RMAN backup.
2- After finishing installation, I took a incremental backup from primary server(ins-prim) and moved incremental backup and control file to the standby (ins-sec) database
3- I stared standby database nomount mode
4- restore controlfile from “incremental backup location in standby database”
5- alter database mount; and got this error
“ORA-01103: database name 'ins-prim' in control file is not 'ins-sec'”
What are the steps applying incremental backups to standby database with 11g?

I build the database from backup and changed from ASM to none ASM and changed location of data files and logfiles. I think this changes makes the standby database as logical one.
You can a have a physical standby with different locations for everything (redo/controlfiles/datafiles), ASM and no ASM etc. I have a such a configuration in production (10gR2)

Are you sure you have a standby ? Ins-sec receives the archivelog files from the primary ? How did you proceed to build this database ? I suspect you don't have a standby at all ! If you have duplicated the database ins-sec and ins-pri are independent databases and you won't be able to apply an incremental backup (your script was not correct but it is another story)

Plot X-Y graph with multiple y values on same x axis

Dear all,
I have written some vi on a small part of my application. Basically, every 20 sec, I will acquire a set of readings (array) consisting of 10 data points known as T1. So at every timestamp, there should be 10 datapoints plotted on the same timestamp. Then 10 sec later, another timestamp with again 10 datapoints. I wanted the data to be plotted and updated every 20 sec and continue till I stop the program. At the end, I hope to see 10 horizontal lines.
I face some problems now and hope someone can help me on this? The problems are how do I plot the 10 datapoints at every interval of 20 sec. How do I also keep on updating the data? I know I need to build arrays but I am not sure how to do it.
Someone who knows please kindly help me on this as I have been trying but to no avail.

Dear All,
I have tried the program again. But there is still some problems.
How do i create the time interval of plotting the 10 datapoints every 20 sec interval. Meaning how can i plot 10 datapoints at one timestamp and another 10 datapoints another 20 sec later? Right now it seems that if i introduce a delay of 2 sec, the graph will be plotted 2x10= 20 sec later. However i want the scan rate to be 20 sec. If i set the delay at 20sec, then i will have to wait for 20x10=200 sec right? Is there a way to make it plot every 20 sec interval interval but not 2 sec scanning rate?
Right now, the x-y graph will refresh itself after 10 loops. However i also want to keep the previous datapoints (plots) in the previous timestamps also and it should be continuing since i started the program . How do i modify the program as i think i need to use build array function and shift register somewhere.

Restore Password Manager .pwd File from Backup Image after HDD crash

Hi
After a HDD crash i try to recover my Password Manager pwd File from a Backup Image. In the Image the file is located in "C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\XXX\Anwendungsdaten\Lenovo\Client Security Solution"
But if i try to import it the PW-Manager asks for a Password. But no PW works. Not the Windows PW (same as before) or not the Sec-Chip PW works. I tryed to copy the pwd File into the same folder but it´s not recordniced from the PW Manager.
Can somebody help me please to get my Passwords back?

Hi,
that saved passwords were stored also in TPM chip, so if Password maanger can not find them there , what is obvious, then I dont think, that this will work.
However it would be a test to install CSS withtou TPM recognision. Uninstall CSS and install CSS with EMULATIONMODE =1, this will install CSS in software emulation mode and do not need to contact with hardware TPM.
To be honest I never tried this scenario, but in if I would be in your situation, then I would test it just to see.
However I don't give it a big chance, that this will work.

Ok - this makes more sense. You wont find a file SAPNTAUTH.SRVC in that case
sapntauth = PAS
This is not supported on Integrated ITS 6.40.

How to create a 30 second audio preview

I'm not sure this is the right thread to post this question.
We have over a thousand audio files (narration) in mp3.
We now want to make copies of the first 30 seconds of each file to put onto the web as a preview.
We were looking at AppleScript solutions to automate this but did not find the possibility to use QT Pro to select the first 30 seconds en crop the file.
Does anyone know a simple and fast solution for this ?

You posted in the iTunes forum, so I'll give an iTunes solution.
I don't have a one way solution, but a few steps will do the trick.
First, put all files in a playlist.
Select all files in the playlist.
Run this script:
tell application "iTunes"
if selection is not {} then
set sel to selection
repeat with this_track in selection
try
set finish of this_track to 30
end try
end repeat
display dialog "Done!" buttons {"Thanks"} default button 1 giving up after 5
end if
end tell
All tracks will now stop playing at 30 sec.
Next, convert the songs. It's no problem to convert them in the same format they are already in. The copies all will be 30 sec.
After conversion, you can easily differentiate the converted shortened copies from the originals by date added or play time.
I don't know a command to reset the finish times, but you can run the same script as above and replace '30' by the play time in seconds, the longest track has. E.g. if your longest track is 45 minutes, the number would be 2700.
All tracks will be reset to their original play time (not 2700 sec.)

I get the error message ssf_api_nosectk in the SSF test program called SSFTEST. I am running ECC 6.0 and think that I have installed the crypto library ok. I can see everything in STRUST and an able to generate PSEs, etc. The error message says that the security tookiit is not found. Is something missing? Or, is there a configuration issue?

It looks like the SAPCRYPTOLIB is not installed correctly.
You can check in the developer traces for an entry like:
N *** ERROR => Ssf_GetOwnCertificate: SAPSECULIB not found
To get this corrected please do the following: install SAPCRYPTOLIB newly and ensure that you use a variant of the SAPCRYPTOLIB matching the SAP kernel. You need to check the files "which.txt" and <YOUR_OS>.txt contained in the *CAR or *SAR-archive of the SAPCRYPTOLIB into account for that.
At last, but not least, ensure if these parameters are configured correctly as per SAP note 662340:
sec/libsapsecu
ssf/name
ssf/ssfapi_lib

I am using n-step workflow BAdI for SC approval. (WS14000133).
I am having very strage situation. I can add Approvers / reviewers in approval preview in my development client but the same functionality doesn't work in test or QA environement. I compared Workflow / Task and all seem identical.
Any tips / clue?

Please give more details in this case. Which SRM Version are you using ? Are you using Stnadard or custom Workflow ?
Seems to be side effect of any recently applied OSS Note.
Look for what all new OSS Notes you have applied in last few weeks using SNOTE Trnasaction - Notes Browser. Do a comparison of the OSS Notes applied in Dev Environment with the QA Environment.
Any error message, while adding approvers in the Shopping cart.
Please try the following SAP OSS Notes ->
Note 952108 - Incorrect error message when approvers are entered
Note 741905 - Sec. level 1, shopping carts on hold: Approver not added
Also, raise a Customer OSS message with SAP as well.
