Q_GRC10: Using ERP - Org Structure in GRC 10
Hi,
I was wondering if the Org Structure we currently use in the ERP system can be exported and imported / copied / Cloned / transported, into other systems and / or then into GRC10. I want to use this structure to drive my workflow instead of re creating a new one GRC.

You can implemente an interfase between your ERP Org structure and GRC10 org structure.

Working with HR replication after using local org. structure
Hello SRM Gurus,
My client have implemented the HR module in ECC 5 and want to use it for replicating it to SRM 4.0.
We're in PROD (using the extended classic scenario) for over a year using a local SRM org. structure.
Have any one encountered with this requirement?
What will be the system impact of this kind of change, in terms of old documents, in process documents etc..?

The workaround resolution ( not a fix ! ) I have created for a client (but not executed as client agreed to communicate to the users (manually created)....no history etc from go-live date etc.
Step 1) User A ( Manually created in SRM ORG)
Step 2) User A1 ( created through HR ORG - 0105/0001 )
Step 3) Set on behalf for A1 (means A1 always purchase and see the SC etc on behalf of A) .
Step 4) Set the timeframe for the on behalf feature (i.e say 3 months from go-live User A will be deleted and no on behalf etc). FYI, history information still exist in database, you may write your own custom code to retrieve it for audit purpose
Make sure User A is deleted from SRM ( I mean SAP User ID ..not just ORG).
Step 5) Change the HR 0105/0001 entry and set the user to User A.
Step 6) You will see the change pointer for it
Step 7) User A is back to business.....
This is the backup plan I have created it. But I have not executed it.....may be when I get time, I will test it....If you /someone happen to test it, please let me know the result.

Org structure in Deposit Management
Calling FS Gurus,
I have created the Org Structure by PPOM T-Code in the Deposit Management.
Now When am trying to create the account BCA_CN_ACCT_01, In the field accoutn number when am inputting my org branch number, it does not accept it. Besides when I display my Org structure, its in gry area in the list structure.
Could anyone help me as to what is missing and what can be done to use the org structure.

Org model which is used in Territory Management is created only through the txn: PPOMA_CRM.
If the org model for your territory management is different from the existing org model maintained for other processes, then you can enhance it for meeting territory specific requirements.

For implementing QM there is no requirement of additional / specific org. structure. You can use existing org structure of MM / PP. This is because many times QM is implemented after implementing MM & PP, for whic org. structure is present. For work center, you can opt to maintain or not depending upon your requirement. As QM is at plant level, you can use the existing org structure defined for the plant

How to find buyer in org structure for completion workflow

I have a doubt in org structure.As our client is saying that they implemented completion workflow to determine buyer and then approval workflow to determine the approvers.
During completion workflow they are identifying the buyer using the org structure itself.
How to identify immediate manager by looking at the org structure.(of course here it is Buyer for requestor ).

Well, are you working with PC or AC WFL? Anyway, usually for completion customer takes for example the users assigned to a concerning purchase group as to be the completioner. How to identy this in the org. level? You can con directly at PPOMA_BBP and check for this purchase organization which users are assigned to it.
In case of managers from requestor, you can also see in the org. level. They are the users that uses a cap and are always assigned oe level above. There is the FM which can be used to find the line manager assigned to the employee: RH_GET_LEADING_POSITION.

Fund Accounting concept using Org structure with Balancing Entities
Does anyone have any experience in working with a college and using Fund accounting with a Organization Structure with Balancing Entities? If so, need some help with how multi-org will help them when we upgrade to 11.5.10.2 and use multi-org. My client is currently in 11.5.8 apps version and is not using multi-org. Any advice or suggestions will help.
ThanksI believe the challenges you mention are related to the alignment of cost center to a controlling area and the fact that the customer has aligned configuration of controlling areas to = company codes. There is also the option in controlling configuration to allow multiple company codes to be attached to the same controlling area (with restrictions - see notes regarding configuring controlling area). I have not tried this configuration to know whether this should work.

Is it possible to create an org structure using Xpress? For example, if the input parameter has the following:
Top:MyCompanyName:MyDepartment
then it should create a new org name:
MyCompanyName
and under this is another org (which represents the department)

Short Dump while copying Org structure from ERP to CRM
Hello Experts:
We are trying to copy the Org structure from ECC to CRM.
We have a standard transaction 'CRMC_R3_ORG_GENERATE' to copy the the org structure from ECC or the IMG path:
SPRO->CRM->Master Data->Organization Management->Data Transfer->Coppy ECC Sales Structure
We have a multiple assignment scenario where each sales groups are assigned to multiple sales offices and likewise,each sales office is assigned to multiple sales org unit in ECC.
This can be achieved by turning on the enhanced version.
In our current business,even though the sales offices and groups are created,but are not having relavance in the business,hence while running in the sandbox system, we ran the program to copy the structures in the standard mode(default) and we could copy it without issues and create the org units for every entity in CRM based on how the number ranges are defined.
What happens when enhanced version switch is turned on ::
While we turn the mode to enhanced version, The system automatically::
- enhances the Function tab page in the ppoma_crm transaction to include a grid table, in which you maintain multiple assignments of organizational units
- generates an extra dialog box to the Organization tab page in business transactions for you to select the relevant assignment path for the organizational unit
- adapts the consistency check in business transactions to take into account organizational units that have been multiple assigned
Risk factor :
Once you have switched to the enhanced backend integration version of the organizational model you cannot return to the standard backend integration version. The system will also automatically make changes to the organizational model version in CRM Mobile Sales.
Also this structure will happen across all the clients in the system,so unfortunately cannot try in a sandbox client also of the new environment.
We are building our development box,so while running the above step in standard mode,the program gives a short dump due to long execution time even though we have the same amount of data as in our prototype system.
Also, we increased the idle time value to a very high value.
When I approached SAP OSS,I was told that it is due to the multiple assignment scenario,hence we need to switch to enhanced version in CRM before we run the copy program ( CRMC_ORG_R3_GENERATE )
I am not quite sure if the mismatch of the scenarios between CRM and ECC could be causing this short dump as we could run it in standard mode in our prototype/sandbox environment without issues even with the same data volume as in the new development system .
I am looking for help from all the experts if they have come across similar issue and your recommendations/feedback if this can be corrected.
Appreciate your guidance/recommendation on this issue.

ERP EIC & Org Structure Mapping - SAP HCM
Hi All
Can any one provide me information on Org Structure Model for EIC shared Service Centre and how to map with existing org structure? If we create 4 levels of SSC (Level 1 , 2,3 & 4) We will be creating 4 org units but do we need to create these 4 new org units related to existing org structure of the company? Or is it an independent? How do we map it? Looking for some general advice on this to proceed with creating new structure for SSC.
Appreciate if any one can guide on this.

You have to define one Root organization unit and depending on the degree of Reporting structure you have to define sub organization units.
If you have Four chief positions in four org units & having subordinates in four Org Units (grades) you are suggested to create four org. units.

What to do incase of new change in Org Structure while using indirect assig

This is my first post in this forum and I hope I will get the right answer.
We have implemented the indirect role assignement and now we are in the process to set the process incase of any change in the Org Structure.
Option 1)
Me as a security engineer I have decied to have the following process:
HR has moved an employee from position to position > HR will inform the SAP Security Engineer about the new change > SAP Security Engineer lock the user and send the new list of roles for the employee to the mananger and process team lead for approval > mananger and process team lead can either approve the request or suggest new changes > then the SAP Security Engineer will do the changes i(if any) and then unlock the user.
Option 2)
One of the Process Team Leads is suggesting that we assign the roles to the positions once, get it approved and then whatever happen we don't care.
Please let me know what is the best way, and I am sure the first option is the best but a lot of manual work.
I hope to get good response on this and I hope if there is supported document from SAP.>

In addition to Julius comments, I like to add the following base on our current security design.
We have something similar to option #2 in place. We have HR base security by positions. We made sure the business owners of the security roles are aware of the security role to position mappings. We have a matrix of security to position mappings that has been approved by the business owners. Exceptions are address in the form of a Help Desk ticket.
In this example all managers will get a set of roles. The clerks will also get a set of roles. Again these will be pre-approve role to position assignments.
Position: Manager
Assign Role: Z-GL-MANAGER & Z-AP-MANAGER
Position: Clerk
Assign Role: Z-GL-CLERK & Z-AP-DISPLAY
Option #1 - It's too much work and you are assuming that all the players involve on the business process will follow through, from notification of move, to approval, and more notification, etc.
As long as the business owners are aware and understand how position base security works option #2 is the way to go. Of course we have other procedure in place before handing out security credentials, from submitting an SAP access form to mandatory training, etc. We currently do not have the man power to have option #1 in place.

Risk Management 10: Assign users based on Org structure
Hello,
In GRC Risk Management 10, you can assign users to a risk in the roles tab of a risk.
Is it possible to be able to assign any employee in HR org structure to one of these roles such as Risk Owner?
More specifically, would it be possible to create a link such that only the employees in the assigned organization unit in the risk are shown in the list of users to be assigned to one of these roles?

but the process and workflow structure for all the department are same.
only the roles are different for each user.
no need to disple the standard approval role in Process initiation.
Custom role should be populated based on the selection from the first action.
example: if the user need cash and he should select the cash need option from
first action then the finace approver should appear in next action.
if not it should not appear.
please advice which GP callable object is best for this process.
i have the plan to use the webdynpros..

I am interested in finding out what replication method people use to maintain the SRM (SRM 5.0 and ECC 6.0) org structure.
Once the SRM org structure is created via RHALEINI , do you continue executing RHALEINI with the correct options on a nightly basis to maintain or synchronize the SRM org structure or do you use the ERP change documents for the HRMD_ABA message type and only replicate the deltas?
Since both methods work, is there a recommended method?

JerryWe are still on SRM 4 but my guess is that this process hasn't changed. My experience has been that most customers will work from Delta updates once the structure has been initially created, especially when CUA (Central User Admin) is used to manage change in HR.
In our case we run nightly jobs - in R/3 the job contains program RBDMIDOC, which processes Change Pointers created from HR updates and creates IDocs. Following this in SRM we runa job that contains RBDMANI2, whcih processes the IDocs in SRM and updates the Org Structure. These two programs relate to HRMD_ABA. And finally we run HRALXSYNC (this one is still a mystery to me - it doesn't seem to do anything - another story). -
Not able to see hierarchial org structure by clicking on Expand this branch
Dear experts,
I am currently using the Online data extraction via sap for Nakisa Integration with SAP Landscape.
I have completed the configuration of Nakisa with the help of configuration guide and administrator guide - After completing administrator steps the org chart is visible - When i navigate to the org structure i can see the org unit under the org structure root that i configured as an administrator in the general settings section.
When i click the + sign ie on expand this branch i am not able to see all teh org units under the displayed branch.
Can you please guide me regarding how one can view the org structure below the selected branch when i click on expand this branch section.
Manager Personnel Id is not maintained for this org unit - Should the user clicking on the expand this branch be the manager of the org unit to see the org structure.

I am not able to see that navigation icons within an org chart box - The org unit that is displayed on clicking the orgchart does have branches in SAP but i am not able to see these navigation icons that lead me to these branches.
Is there any specific step that needs to be done to see these branches.
By the way what is the log file you are refering to is it the "PresentationResources.xml " or is it any other log file.

Sending mail to a particular positon in org structure via workflow
hi all
i have a problem regarding sending mail to particular position in org structure on runtime execution via workflow so that i neednt hard court the particular position
to achieve this i am using expressions,first i have created a new container element and then i have used container operation like this:
(lead.employee responsible.business partner= container element defined by me)
when i first try to execute the workflow and test it ,in the container i am getting the value of the container element in which i have the position where i have to send the mail.but inspite of value getting populated ,when i am using that container element to send mail like:
expression: container element
the mail is not send,when i checked the log it is mentioned that " you are not the authorised person to stsart the workflow and start failed" but workflow is still triggered and i am able to pass the object but not able to send the mail.
please tell me is there any feasible way to achieve this,like rule or in my way how is it able to achieve

Follow this ,
Goto PFTC -> Choose "Workflow Template" from the drop down -> Enter the workflow template id "123********" in the text box -> now click on "change" button -> Now goto the menu addional data -> agent assignment -> maintain -> select the task text -> and set it as general task.
I guess you have done the same for the standard task TS*********** but failed to do it for the workflow template (WS123*************). Or have you done it already?
Also once you make this change "Refresh your buffers" once before checking it out.
