Q Having trouble with shortcuts in illustrator( Please Help)

I am having trouble with shortcuts when i exit the program and then try and use shortcuts it wont work till i go back into edit and shortcuts menu and click ok to the defaullt setting and i have to keep doing this???? Can some one please helpme. I am very new to illustrator and i am trying to learn the shortcuts. Also im not very good with technical stuff so please make answer simple if possible Thanks

If you are saying that you use the default keyboard shortcuts list, and every time you open Illustrator you can't use any keyboard shortcuts, this must be a bug.
I'd suggest changing one keyboard shortcut, or as many as you would like, and save it as a new list. Maybe it won't be bugged like the default list.
If that doesn't work, my only other idea would be re-installing Illustrator. But wait to see what others say here, before trying to re-install.

Hello, All. I recently inherited an iPhone 4. I attempted to download an app and was told that I needed to update the software first. As there was a software update available, I installed it. Now, the phone won't work or restore. The screen is fixed on an image of the iTunes logo and picture of the iTunes USB. I have no idea what to do. Please help.

Acrobat 6.0 Professional- Having Trouble with a Large Document-Please Help

Using Acrobat 6.0 Professional. Working with a large document (1400 pages, 25 megs). I broke it into two parts to make it easier to work with. However, even though the two parts are now 700 pages, they are each still 25 megs. It appears that each document is retaining the full history of the document, perhaps as restore points. How do I purge the history so the document is small and more manageable?

I am not sure if version 6 can optimize PDF files but in version 9, you have to follow these instructions:
Optimize a PDF
Note: Optimizing a digitally signed document removes and invalidates the digital signatures.
Open the PDF Optimizer dialog box.
To use the default settings, choose Standard from the Settings menu, and then skip to step 6. If you change any settings in the PDF Optimizer dialog box, the Settings menu automatically switches to Custom.
From the Make Compatible With menu, choose Retain Existing to keep the current PDF version, or choose an Acrobat version. (The options available in panels vary depending on this choice.)
Select the check box next to a panel (for example, Images, Fonts, Transparency), and then select options in that panel. To prevent all of the options in a panel from executing during optimization, deselect the check box for that panel.
(Optional) To save your customized settings, click the Save button and name the settings. (To delete a saved setting, choose it in the Settings menu and click Delete.)
When you are finished selecting options, click OK.
In the Save Optimized As dialog box, click Save to overwrite the original PDF with the optimized PDF, or select a new name or location.To optimize several documents at the same time, use the Output options for the Batch Processing command.
It is worth a try assuming you have this facility in version 6.
Always backup the document before doing this.

Having trouble with image processor...help please!

HI there...First off I just bought a new iMac and haven't a clue what I'm doing so my problem could be related to that. While I'm waiting for Adobe to transfer over my platform I downloaded the trial of CS5 Extended to get me started. I'm having trouble with the image processor...I choose file/scripts/image processor...the dialog box comes up and I choose use open files and then try and choose the folder I want to save them in. I choose my folder and hit run and it keeps telling me specify folder destination. I can't for the life of me figure this out...what am I doing wrong? It always worked fine for me on my PC and CS3. I can't handle saving each image individually in the new folder...

I haven't renamed anything as far as I know. I made a new folder when I hit Folder option and it's highlighted as well as the path shows up in the processor box. Just when I choose run it tells me to specify a folder. The only thing I can think of is that maybe something messed up b/c I'm copied the files and folders over from my PC but it let me save as on the mac. Also the folder I'm choosing to put them in is on the Mac harddrive. IDK...

Trying to export footage in h.264 but having trouble with heavy compression artefacts. Help please!

I'm trying to export my 10 min short from Premiere Pro in the h.264 codec for Vimeo and Youtube. The problem is, that every time I try to export it, there are some heavy compression artefacts in the exported file. Mostly pixelation and noise/colournoise. I have no clue where it comes from, as I even tried exporting a uncompressed avi and then importing this avi to export as H.264 again, nothing changed. The artefact occur on the same clips every time, and disappear during the duration of the clip as well, really weird!
All help is much appreciated!!

Alternatively I could export in Final Cut Pro X, but I'm having trouble importing the AVI file, any suggestions??

I'm also not using my previews to render, and exporting at target: 20 mb/s and max 25 mb/s

You probably need to reformat the drive. Boot from the installer again, and go through the first screen (choose your language), then go to the Utilities menu, choose Disk Utility. Select your new drive on the left. Click on the "top level" of the drive (where you see the drive model number, not the name below it), and make sure that "Partition Map Scheme" at the bottom of the screen says "GUID Partition Scheme".
If not, go to Partition, set up 1 partition and name it, choose "Mac Extended (Journaled)", click Options, choose GUID, and click Partition.
If the partition scheme is already set to GUID, go to the Erase tab and reformat the drive as Mac Extended (Journaled). Then try going through the rest of the installer.

You may (still) be left with the issue, unless you reinstall using the full three step way (strange things may linger):
Uninstall (ticking the box to delete the preferences), run the Cleaner Tool, and reinstall.

Having trouble with enhanced podcasts, Can anyone help me adjust my iPod?

Whenever I listen to my enhanced podcasts through iTunes, I have no problems viewing the photos the podcaster included in the program. However, when I play the same podcast in my iPod, the photos will not show. I only see the timeline with the little segments that represent the chapters. I can hit the forward and back arrows and I am taken the to the next chapter marker. But, unfortunately, I do not see the photos, as I do see them in iTunes.
Can anyone help me adjust my iPod to enable it to play enhanced podcasts correctly?
According to the iPod manuals, I should be able to see enhanced podcasts with no trouble.

I have solved it myself. Here's how I did it:
In iTunes, go to Edit and click to Show Art Work and leave it as "Hide Art Work." (Now it will download the enhanced messages.)
Now go to the iPod: From the Main Menu, go to Settings. At the Settings, go to the other Main Menu. From this Main Menu, go to Music and make sure that the following are on:
Playlists, Photos, and Photo Import, Videos, and Extras.

Having Problem with stuttering video. Please help!

I haven't had a problem with viewing video online with my laptop until a few days ago. Now, all it will do is start to play, then freeze, play for a few seconds, then freeze, etc. etc. If I am on Hulu and pause the video to allow it to buffer, it will go good for a few minutes then start the same thing over again. I have done the same thing on CBS.com, but the results haven't been as good as on Hulu. I have noticed that it is considerably worse when the commercials start. I tried uninstalling my Flashplayer several times to no avail, and I even uninstalled my Antivirus and reinstalled that thinking that might be the problem. Tried right clicking on the player when it's in use and disableing the hardware accelerator in the settings, but that didn't help. I am about ready to pull my hair out!

Using Mozilla FireFox version3.6.8 and Internet Explorer 8 version 8.0.6001.18928
