Q10 extreme lag on keyboard input

Blackberry Q10SQN100-210.3.2.2134 I am experiencing extreme keyboard lag when inputting. I am not even that fast of a typer (get 60~ wpm on my Q10) but more often than not I have to stop typing a couple words in while my Q10 catches up. Sometimes words get missed entirely, sometimes part of a word makes it thru but the other part doesn't, sometimes a word turns into a comma, all sorts of issues. It has not always done this. It has gotten more and more prominent in the last couple weeks, but it was always glitchy if I was typing while receiving messages. I figured if anything was slowing the phone down, I could fix it by rebooting. No change. I need to know if this is a Q10 specific problem or if there is any way to fix it. I might upgrade to the classic if this is a known issue with the Q10 at all.

this was solved for a few days after uninstalling whatsapp, but it's back again and it's a huge issue...

Lag keyboard input

Hi, I have an issue with my first LabView program can anyone help me please?
The function of my program is to manualy or automaticaly save the data obtained with the multimeter
My program worked fine until I wanted to add a file creation function each time the program runs, but the program creates a file every 5 seconds, I have tried using a loop and case but I cant make it work, it still creates a file every 5 seconds.

Aditionaly I have tried to program a keyboard input for the buttons in the vi using a few examples I found around the forum but my program just lags and I cant even start measuring.

It probably shouldn't damage anythin constantly updating the loop, although it does introduce overhead and is generally not tidy, to avoid the constant updating I would recommend looking into shift-registers or feedback nodes. On that note, I'll leave you with this snippet, I'm sure you can see how it might apply.

GT72 SERIOUS KEYBOARD INPUT LAG (MSI OFFICIALS TAKE A LOOK)

First of all hi to the community..!
I m a GT72 2QE 629TR owner and GT72 has a SERIOUS keyboard input lag problem..maybe all of you guys cant feel that in fps or 3rd person games as i do but i have been playing STREET FIGHTER 4 for 5 years...in which game inputs are very sensetive..! I cant do neither combos nor plinking with this stupid keyboard.. but i can do that stuff easily in any keyboard even on my wireless logitech keyboard but in this steelseries keyboard CANT because of the serious lag..some combos need one frame link means 1/60 seconds bla bla..
but i realized after uninstalled steelseries keyboard utility lag reduced a little bit but still there is some..I dont know which cause to this problem..
Another request keyboard lights which depends on steelseries utility means we cant turn it on or off the light from keyboard shortcuts unless we are in windows...This is stupid...! it should be also BIOS controlled..In a darker environment i cant see the buttons in windows LOG ON screen to enter the password why? because of this utility works after logged in so the lights dont work which is very STUPID again.. In my other 600$ Lenovo laptop you can control the light from the FN+SPACE keys even you are in bios or dos environment...because its controlled from the bios itself..
Another bug the dot(point) button right next to the 0(zero) button in numerical buttons area...it shows POINT on that button but when you press it comma comes on screen ? shhhh..which one is true comma or dot

The keyboard should light up in red during POST. At least I saw GS70 has red keyboard light when it is turning on and the color turns to its setting while SSE is on.

How to have same keyboards input source in Mac and Windows???

I use Canadian French-CSA on my Mac keyboards input source. Using Windows 7, I can't find the good setting for my keyboards to be the same when I it keys.

The speed of your internal network generally is much much faster than the speed of your internet connection. Unless he has an internet connection faster than approx 6Mbps then even dropping down to the old 802.11b Airport would not seen any decrease in speed of downloads etc...
and will my brother's PC's also be able to connect?
If his PC is 802.11b/g-compliant, it shouldn't have any problems connecting to the AirPort base station.
Or is there another Airport base station?
The other AirPorts would work, but the AirPort Express & older 802.11g AirPort Extreme base stations have a max. range of 150 feet.
OR-- should I head down to "Generic Computer Store" and just by a wireless router (WiFi)(think that's what they call them) and connect this to his cable modem? IF SO WILL THAT WORK FOR MY MAC?
That is always an option as well, especially since he will be the primary user throughout the year. I'd suggest going with a brand name, like Belkin, D-Link, or Linksys for the wireless router choice.

PPC apps (on intel): slow startup, no keyboard input, Excel-Office crashes

It seems, that all apps that are using rosetta don't work properly.
- The startup time is extremely long, some minutes, spinning wheel is visible
- input via keyboard isn't possible
- Office v. X (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) apps are crashing at startup
A test with the Calculator.app switched to open with rosetta showed also this symptoms (no keyboard input possible)
Curiously all this happens *only with my account*. So first I thought it is a problem of the preferences or fonts. But deletion or substitution from backup does not succeed. Also I did the tip sudo "update_prebinding -root / -force" but it didn't help.
I mad up a fresh account and compared all the files in the ~user/Library path, if there is a file missing in the brocken account. But didn't found some.
Is there anywhere a file outside the ~user/library path, which has user dependend informations (for rosetta)?

Yeah, I've got it!
In /Library/Caches I found the following files and trashed them. Now all PowerPC application incl. Office v. X are working again. Huh!

Keyboard input delayed in Siebel application // letters lost while typing

Hi all,
We have a strange problem on a client computer. While working with Siebel, keyboard input is extremely delayed. When typing a word or a phrase, it takes some seconds to appear in the corresponding field, and also some chars are just lost if one is typing too fast. This does only happen in Siebel - all other applications are OK.
I have seen this already some months ago, but don't remember the cause.

Thanks Wilson for your input, unfortunately resetting browser settings and stuff like this does not help.
In the meantime I have done more research on this and found something interesting. The dropped characters / missing keystrokes do only appear when typing in Siebel popup applets. We do NEVER lose any keystroke when typing in a normal form or list applet. I have run a little test with a vanilla SRF file and a VBS Script.
I placed a VBS file on my desktop which will use SendKeys to simulate typing the word "Siebel" several times.

Keyboard Input not Registering

I recently upgraded to a Q10 from my 9930 and I've been encountering an issue which is more than frustrating.
I will boot up the phone and, not too long afterwards, the phone will not be registering keyboard input
(search won't work from home screen and can't enter text into any form).
I've tried running a keyboard test with the BBVE software and it registers all keys. Doing a quick restart on the phone fixes the issue temporarily, but it reappears almost immediately.
Has anybody encountered this issue before and have some advice?

If restarting your phone corrects the issue only temporarily, it's probably related to software. Your first step will be to reload your OS using BlackBerry Link. Plug your phone in to your PC and open Link. Click Backup and Restore and do a backup of your phone. Once that's complete, once again click Backup and Restore and restore that backup to your phone.
If that doesn't correct the issue, take your phone back to your carrier for a warranty replacement; you can then restore the backup you created to your new replacement phone.

You probably should not be using a keyboard bluetooth profile for a scanner, I am not a developer for apple so do not know the location for you to find out the correct profile you should be using for an input device that is not a keyboard. Sorry,

EXTREME lag after installing Windows 8.1 pro via / Bootcamp assistant

Hey guys, today I've literally been through **** trying to get this game working on my MacBook Pro.
I've basically gone out & bought Windows 8, created a partition on my hardrive (of my MacBook Pro) & installed it into that partition using Apples 'Bootcamp assistant'. After installing the operating system I also loaded the drivers which were given to me by Apples 'Bootcamp assistant'.
I now have the game on the Windows 8 (on my MacBook) which is a £2000 machine... I have got to the menu & experienced extreme lag to the point where I've even managed to turn down all my video settings & it is still lagging a lot despite my high-end computer hardware - here is my computer http://store.apple.c...B/A&step=config#
I have tried running the game on this website http://www.systemrequirementslab.com & everything is great but it says I don't have the required 512MB of video RAM... It says I have 256MB. This is complete ********? I believe I have 2GB of GDDR5 video RAM. It also says that my graphics card is called 'Microsoft Basic Display Adapter'. So I believe this is where the issue lies. My theory is for some reason one of the drivers which I have installed which was given to me by the Bootcamp assistant is messing with me.
This is literally all the information I can possibly provide, does anybody know how I could fix this?

If the underlying hardware was exposed correctly by the CSM-BIOS when Windows was installed, your Device Manager should look like this.
If the Windows installer did not see any devices as your screen indicates, Windows will use generic software-based drivers which will be very slow and painful.
Rudegar ... I think the Windows installer did not see any hardware, otherwise there should be HW with yellow triangles with exclamation marks.

How to use the phone's Mini-Keyboard Input with the 'Textbox'(MIDP2.0)?

Hi. I'm trying to create a textbox(in my own little application) that is compatible with the mini-keyboard input feature.
This problem involved any device that have a built-in "mini-keyboard".
Problem:
I tried the 'Textbox' class from MIDP2.0 but the result, as expected, is like using the phones with no built-in keyboard.
(Forexample if I want to input the character 'C' inthe text box, I need to press number '2' button three times to let it circle through 'A' -> 'B' then 'C'. )
Then I tried entering URLs in the phone's built-in web browser, the result is I can use the mini keyboard to type like a PC keyboard.
Question: How do I implement such textbox that is fully compatible with the built-in mini Keyboard?
I tried browsing through the MIDP2.0 API but it seems the 'Textbox' class there couldn't do it.

The textbox should have input just as any other normal phone input. If not, something strange is going on.
Anyway , there is no use to make your own input method, since every phone has another implementation of this anyway. It would only confuse users.

Firefox and Thunderbird are suddenly not accepting keyboard input

Keyboard shortcuts still work just input in any kind of input field fails so I can still use ctrl+C / CTRL+V to somewhat use firefox and Thunderbird But all input fields are completely unresponsive to keyboard input

Restarting firefox
Restarting firefox in savemode
Rebooting
Changing the keyboard layout in windows
Using a different keyboard
Again rebooting
Pressing F7 to check for caret mode which was disabled
pressing winkey + F9 (Whatever that does)
I am running windows 8.1(x64)

Solved, Changing the keyboard layout again and rebooting fixed it. I tried using the on screen keyboard which worked so I changed the keyboard layout again and rebooted and now it works just fine. I still wonder what caused a Gecko wide issue like this?

Default Keyboard input change in using roaming Profile on different Win 7

We found a strange problem on default Keyboard setting.
We are using roaming profiles for all users.
One of our users is using two Windows 7. One Windows 7 is VDI for working out of office and another Win 7 is her local PC.
She is only using Two keyboard input: Chinese Traditional English and Chinese Traditional Pinyin.
Whenever she had used the Windows 7 VDI, when she comes back to office and use her local PC, the default Keyboard input will automatically change to Chinese Traditional Pinyin.
The user said she had not changed any default keyboard input in the VDI of local PC.
Is there anything we can do for this issue?

CS3 Language Keyboard Input Error

Greetings All,
I have been trouble-shooting this problem for a while, but still it is not resolved. Any help or ideas would be gladly received!
Background: We have a correctly functioning installation of Win XP, and PS CS3 Extended which appears to work normally in every other regard. No obvious errors; no crashes, no start-up complaints; nothing seemingly out of order. I use several installed languages in Windows (EngUK, Russian, Swedish, etc). All of these work normally. All of my installed fonts work correctly in every application on the system except for CS3.
There would appear to be something wrong with CS3's keyboard mapping in foreign languages. When typing with a non-English keyboard setting (any other language) and using TrueType fonts (not Open), only 'missing character' boxes appear in the artwork. The Layers menu displays the typed text correctly, but this will not appear in the artwork. If I use an old install of PS7, I can type using these same fonts correctly in any language. These layers can be imported into CS3, and these WILL display correctly on the artwork. However, the Layers menu in this case displays nonsensical characters. Ergo, I suspect that CS3's keyboard input data is errant.
Where does PS3 keep its information regarding language / keyboard layout? It is possible to edit this file(s)? Are there any other ideas regarding this problem and what might be wrong?

Spaces locks keyboard input

Have been running into this problem more and more frequently on both a MacBook Pro and Mac Pro tower running 10.6.1 and 10.6.2: when I Control-right-arrow to move to my other "space" one or two of two bad things will happen:
(1) the icon in the middle-bottom of the screen showing which "space" I'm in does NOT fade away and disappear
(2) I am prevented from doing ANY keyboard-input into my programs there. I will be able to click and highlight windows using the mouse, as well as see menus activating and such, but anywhere there is a text field (browser or address book or ANYwhere) keyboard input is not displayed.
The only solution is to go into the Activity Monitor and quit the Dock application.
Have been seeing this problem for a few weeks which persists through reboots and such.
Ideas?

This suddenly started happening to me yesterday and now happens every time I switch Spaces with the keyboard. I've found that the only way around it is to only use the menubar icon to switch. Because I'm so used to clicking keys to switch Spaces and still do it unconsciously, I've disabled the keys in Spaces prefs.
