Q10 message limit by time period

is there any way to regulate the amount of emails by day , week or month on the q10 by email account?? i heard that the q10 only shows emails from the last 30 days. is this true?

With some OS levels, email accounts, and settings, this is indeed true. With other email accounts, OS levels, and settings, up to "Forever" is available. It all depends on the details.

Message tracking log - time period

Hi,
How long are message tracking logs keeped on appliance?
How can i control message tracking logs.
Lots of HDD space available and I want 3 months of available Message Tracking logs.
When are Message traking logs deleted from the appliance?

Message tracking is based on the drive space available on the ESA appliance.
It is not possible to configure the # of days for retention of message tracking data. The set HDD storage allocation for message tracking data is limited. HDD storage allocation is set based on the hardware:
C1X0: 10G
C3X0: 20G
C6X0: 50G
X10X0: 50G
Your best solution in order to store mail logs/message tracking - would be to also have configured to store the mail_logs off to a syslog server --- that way you can determine the full extent/length of the retention period. (And also allows you to search/manipulate all mail_logs with a little easier access that may be available on the ESA.)

200 message limit during one 24 hour period

on several occasions I have been locked out of my ability to send messages, and have gotten a message saying that I had sent more than 200 messages in the last 24 hours. How can I change this so that I am not locked once I have sent that many messages-in this case I couldn't help it-I was required by my employer to forward him all of the messages I had sent in the last several months, and that added up to more than 200-is there a setting like Storage preferences which I can change so that I am not limited by this 200 message limit, which I have hit several times, for the same reason?

Does your employer provide you an email account and if so, why aren't you using your employer's email account with Mail to do their business or for their request?
ALL ISPs and email account providers have sending limits for non-business personal accounts - repeat ALL.
My ISP does not have a total recipient limit for each message sent but does have an overall recipient limit for all messages sent in a 24 hour period which can be reached with a single message.
There is also a limit for the number of messages sent in a 24 hour period but I've never reached or exceeded any such limits imposed by my ISP or by Apple with my .Mac account but I don't use my personal .Mac account for my employer's business or their requests.
I'm certainly no baby and I've always used either account for personal use only which is what non-business email accounts are designed and intended for and the reason for such restrictions along with part of an overall effort to prevent bulk spam mailings emanating from an ISP's or email account provider's domain.
Your employer should provide you an email account which should be a BUSINESS account and have no sending restrictions or more liberal restrictions.

If you update to iOS 8, you can select that in Settings>Messages>Keep Message and then select your option. If you don't update to iOS 8, you'll need to do it manually.

I'm sorry but I don't have any POP integrated accounts (gave up on POP years ago, IMAP and ActiveSync are so much more powerful), so I can't compare specifically for you. It may possibly be called "Days to Synchronize", and may possibly be elsewhere in the Account screens for that specific account.
Or, indeed, it just may not exist as an available setting for POP.

How do you set the time period on IMAP email accounts (razr maxx)

Hi Guys -
Does anyone know how you can set the time period that the stock email will keep the already downloaded messages for IMAP email accounts?
Mine never seems to show more than a couple of days worth at a time. I'd ideally like to be able to see at least 2 weeks worth of messages without needing to download them again!
On other phones I've had there was a setting in the menu, but either I can't find it...or it's not there. I've found the setting for how OFTEN it checks the accounts, but not the setting I am seeking.

Delete only one text message at a time w/o deleting entire conversation?

Does anyone know how to delete only one text message at a time without having to delete the entire conversation? The only two options I get are "clear conversation" or "cancel."

That's the same option I get too. It seems to me I recall seeing somewhere that you could delete individual messages in a thread but I don't remember where.
It seems silly to limit deletions to only the entire conversation since with most phones you can delete individual messages.

Query for Old Data that does not match New Data within a given time period

One of the reports I need to create is for all associates who went from one department to another within a given time period. The way I ran this report in Reportsmith (pulling from our old system) was to compare the dept field from the beginning date to the dept field at the end date and it would give me those associate's that had moved. I had to do it this way b/c dept changes can happen using several different types of actions (supv change, promotion, etc.), none of them exclusive to just dept changes. We are now using Oracle HRMS and I need to create this same report with this system using SQL.
Does anyone know how to compare data between two different dates and pull the ones that don't match? Your help will be GREATLY appreciated!

In the sample data you posted, nobody changed departments between May 1 and May 11. In fact, there were no assignments of any kind between January 16 and May 17, so I wouldn't expect any output for that period.
A person (or rather, a duck) did change deptartments on May 20, so if you change the upper limit of the date range to
AND ASG_LAST_UPDATE_DATE < TO_DATE ('05/21/09', 'MM/DD/RR')you should see her.
You've probably noticed that this site likes to compress white-space.
To post formatted text (such as table results or indented code) type these 6 characters:

Get a waveform graph to stop plotting after a given time period

I am doing a research project looking at the effects of modifying visual feedback on a person's current force output. I have a waveform graph that plots the target force level they are trying to match (specified by me) and next to it a second plot showing their current force output (in real time). I am trying to make a condition where the current force output plot (or really the whole waveform graph) stops plotting after a 10 s time period, but can't seem to get it to work. It either plots for the whole trial, or does not plot at all. Is there a way to put a timer on a waveform graph in order to tell it to stop plotting after a specified time period?

Message limit exceeded error thrown by Adobe and field becomes blank

I'm facing a strange problem with Adobe Forms.
We've created custom MSS scenario to suit customer requirements. In that we are required to display drop down values.
All drop down values and form is displayed <b>correctly the first time</b> i.e. when MODE='CREATE' and EVENT=space. When we click on 'Review' button to review form, a server round trip with 'CHECK' event is correctly performed. However a strange error "Message limit exceeded. Remaining 8 errors not reported." is thrown by Adobe Reader. After clicking 'Ok' all fields on form are cleared.
This message is somehow related to drop downs as I've 8 drop downs on my form. (Checked by removing one drop down and then message came as 7 errors not reported.)
Is it possible that error is being caused by some values in 'ADDITIONAL_DATA' table? Reason is when I removed one set of values (drop down values for one field), form seems to work without error. But there is <b>nothing wrong in values</b> for those drop downs

Finally got the solution. It was very simple as compared to the problem.
Firstly the problem, in one of the configuration tables description consisted of "" (ASCII 150) and not "-" (ASCII 45). On looking at it, it appeared exactly the same. I guess drop down values cannot consist characters from extended character set.
Solution was simple, just replaced ASCII 150 with ASCII 45 and rest all worked fine.

WRT110: I want to create an access rule for one client for one application during one time period

I have a problem with one of the clients on my LAN which is running uTorrent to detriment of everyone else. It saturates the pipe. I have been unable to prod this user into bothering to tweak their settings to throttle bandwidth back and so have resorted to an access rule on the router which kicks that MAC address off during a particular time period during the day. But as irritated as I am about this slacker sense of outrageous entitlement, kicking them off entirely seems a tad heavy handed even for me.
So, In the router I can create a rule per MAC address and specify time. But is it possible to limit this to denying uTorrent ONLY? And if so what port or port ranges would I use.
Alternatively I already use a QoS setting for one of my VoIP TA's. Would I gain anything by degrading the application indirectly by creating a QoS = LOW for that port range? Again, I don't really care about any other application, just uTorrent and just that client. How much degradation is there really in setting QoS to LOW?

Well it wont make much difference, when you enable QOS service on your router. Yes it is possible to Deny uTorrent application from your Router. When you are Under "Application and Gaming" Tab, Under "Blocked Application" you will find "Application Name" , "Port Range" and "Protocol" so you need to input under Application Name "uTorrent" and under port range you need to input the port number which uTorrent application use and then under protocol select "Both" and click on ADD. Then again in Application you will find uTorrent , select and click on (>>) right arrow so it will block that application on your Router. By doing this it will block uTorrent from your Router.

The process chain failed while activating the ODS with an error message :Process 000004 did not confirm within the permitted time period" . When repeated the failed step it went successufull. but want to know what can be the cause and steps to be taken in order to avoide this issue further.

Whenever ODS activation goes there'll be some batch processes you can say as parallel processes running along with main job. Due to unavailability of resources i.e either bkgd or dialog processes soemtimes gets delayed and they gets canceled which leads to the failure of main ODS activation job...
may be in ur scenario the same thing might have happened, so when you had repeated the step if the resources are free it will be successful.
once chk in your system for canceled jobs, ther might be some job which relates to your process.

We had a similar request in a project of ours, and managed to make it work with the following workaround.
Use a Fork Step with 2 branchs and in "necessary finished branches" option, set it to 1.
In 1 branch, use the steps you normally would use in the block w/ deadline main branch.
In the other branch, use a transformation step with a particular mapping.
This mapping should be from the message you receive in "start process" receive step to any other target (you could create a dummy target message type or use the same message type of source message). In the message mapping, supposing you use target message = source message, just map all fields into the respective targets. In particular, in the field with the value you want to set to the deadline, use a UDF between the source and the target. Supposing the waiting interval is in seconds, use the UDF as:

This way you can have any time interval you want (including intervals shorter than 1 minute).

LMS - log rotation based on time period

I am not sure if I understand it correct, but you can do this easily by defining the expected file size of the log file to rotate;
logrot runs on a scheduled basis and checks if the log file has reached the defined file size - if not it will do nothing else the file will be backed up. The key point is the configured file size;
I use this for the syslog file to have a backup for each month:
schedule logrot to run every first of each month and set the file size to a low value guarantes that I ve got a file for every month;

why do you want to keep all log messages of a complete year in one file - what do you want to do?

Selecting Time period according to attribute

I have a query which displays SalesRep Visits for a period around an event date. The event date is an attribute of the event. When you start the query, you choose the event by a variable ZVVASEL. The period displayed in the query is then choosen as 6 month before and after the event date, as stored in the attribute. To do this I use a second variable ZVMRVA, which is filled by an user exit.
This does work very well once I start the query. If I select an other event using the filter, the period is not changed. Is the User exit which fills ZVMRVA not triggered? Is ZVVASEL not filled, when I change the filter ? Any ideas ? Should I switch to another approach to change the period ?
What I would like achieve is, that the time period around the event date is changed, once another event is chosen (by changing the filter). Any idea how I do this ?
We use BW 3.5, SP 17.

sorry but I don't understand your answer. I use the Bex Analyser, start a query and get the result. No problem. Then I change the filter for the event, and expect the filter for the period to change accordingly, but this does not happen. I don't know where to find an "Icon" on the Bex Analyser screen.
Perhaps I forgot to mention: Both variable are mandatory and have to be filled before the query starts. But I allow to change them during query navigation.
