Q10 Sim not detected problem

Hi all,
i have problem with my BlackBerry Q10 device. It "lost" SIM card. Sound confsed, but I got message like: "No SIM card detected" while using GPRS. Restart or even force power off (take off battery) won't fix problem. Only solution which fix this problem is get batery out, remove and place SIM in socket and boot phone. Sometimes, I need to boot sistem like 5 times before it recognize SIM. Same SIM card work fine on other device. Also same happens on my Q10 with different SIM. Anyone have idea how to fix this problem?
Thanks.
Imprisoned for a 10.000 years. Banished from my own homeland. And now you dare enter my realm! You are not prepared ...

Having the same problem. Purchased my Q10 SIM free from UK. Phone worked fine for 3 months and then for no obvious reason displayed SIM not detected Searching for network.
Checked my SIM (a micro-sim) in other phones. SIM Worked fine and detected.
Checked other SIM’s in my Q10. Other SIM’s detected with my Q10.
Tried again, but the Q10 just won’t detect my SIM.
Battery out, SIM out, wiped with dry cloth, blown on it, restarted, deleted old apps, deleted new apps, upgraded software, still no luck in recognising my SIM.
Then for no reason it flashes and asks for my SIM password. Phone works fine for a few hours and then suddenly SIM not detected again.
Forum research shows others have had the same problem but no answers have come to light. I carried out a security wipe and still no success in detecting the SIM. I gave the SIM another wipe with a soft cloth, this time it was detected but only for 10 minutes.
Restored back up. Still not working. Sent twitter message to BB support.

  • Micro-SIM Not Detected

    Greetings,
Today when I went to switch my PlayBook from Wi-Fi to 4G I got a "Micro-SIM card not detected" icon when I tapped the Wi-Fi icon in the status bar:
It was working the day before. Any idea what would cause this? How can I fix it? I've already tried restarting.
    Thanks,
    Shane.

    Hello SGoodman,
Have you attempted removing and reinserting your SIM card? If so, do you have access to another SIM card you can test in the device?

  • Q10 USB not detected in Link or Blend

    Q10 SQN100-3 Rogers
    OS 10.3.1.1.1581
    Link 1.2.4.27
Connects wirelessly by default when Link first installed.  Blackberry Device manager shows Y and Z drives.
When wireless connections turned off in Link or turned off at device and USB connected:
Windows alerts that device has been connected.
Windows Device manager shows Blackberry device as well as Network Adapter Blackberry Device, Blackberry Tethering Device, Blackberry Virtual Private Network.
Blackberry Device Manager does NOT show any devices
    Device shows USB connected
    There are no firewall restrictions
There is no problem with the USB connection or port
USB connection on device set to manual IP address but that has no effect on Link
Rogers Tech Support verbally says that it is a known issue that BB is working on but nothing on any forum says that including this one.
Is this a known issue that is being worked on?

    I finally got it working:
    - I completely shutdown my Blackberry Q5 terminal and unplugged it from USB.
    - In the Windows Device manager, I can see the Blackberry Virtual Private Network in the Network adapter group, which is correct. But the Blackberry Terminal was not listed.
    - So I connect the USB back in my Blackberry Q5 device and turned it on with the switch on the top.
    - From there, Windows detected the terminal and installed the Blackberry Terminal drivers (automatically supplied with the BB Link software)
    - And Link started automatically saying that the BB is connected properly through USB.
    - When I turn on the USB mass storage, it works as well (and disconnect from Link at the same time), so  I have to turn off USB mass storage in the BB Q5 settings to make it connect back to Link through the USB cable.

  • New SIM not detected

Hi my PlayBook earlier I inserted carrier name Idea that detected. But now I changed the SIM,  OTHER Carrier and device displays phone has blocked and giving error MM#6. Please help me to resolve this issue.

@Techvedic  please, no need to respond in threads of which you have no idea what's happening.
@ajayalmost4u , is this a Playbook with Sprint branding on it? Where did you purchase this Playbook?
As a warning, if it is a Sprint PlayBook, it is locked to Sprint and not able to be unlocked for use in India, as Sprint uses a different CDMA network technology.
Your Playbook will work on WiFi, but not on a SIM cellular connection UNLESS you find a SIM with matching Sprint CDMA radio bands.

  • Battery is not detected problem

Hi. Firstly I apologize for my poor English.
I use a macbook pro 2012 (not retina).
I have a battery issue: the battery periodically turns off. So far this problem arised only when charger was plugged in (I think this is just coincidence, because I mainly use MB at home with plugged charger), and the problem can arise on OS X and on bootcamp's Windows7. When battery turns off, the battery icon turns into "X". And if I disconnect charger, the MB immediately turns off. Also after shutting down (normal shutt down from OS, not by charger disconnecting) the battery still remains disconnected, because flashes only one battery light and MB won't to turn on without charger.
After some time MB is turned off, the battery recovering.
I used MB first 2 months without any battery issues.

Darn! An Apple Authorized Reseller may or may not also be an Apple Authorized Service Provider - and any Apple service provider will repair your computer free of charge. You're under warranty and it's a defect that you're dealing with.
Try here - https://locate.apple.com/am/en/ - only says resellers but I found it searching for service providers.
    Good luck,

  • Tips for when your webcam is not detected

EDIT:  If you have recently upgraded to Windows 8 and are experiencing this issue please read this document.
Here are some tips for resolving a webcam not detected problem.  I see this question get asked a lot so here are the steps you should take to resolve the issue.
To begin you should make sure the device is being detected by Windows.  The following instructions are for Windows 7, but should be very similar for Windows Vista and Windows 8.
Option 1: Check Device Manager to make sure it is working properly.
Click your Start button, type “Device Manager,” and press Enter.
Once Device Manager loads click “View” and then “Show Hidden Devices.”
    Locate the “Imaging Devices” section.
Note whether you see the webcam here.
If the webcam is listed, right click it and verify that it is not “Disabled.”
If webcam is listed and not disabled, move onto Option 2.  If the webcam is not listed you will move onto Option 4.
Option 2:   Allow Windows to Re-install the device.
While still in Device Manager right click on your webcam and select “Uninstall”
If prompted select “remove driver and driver package.”
Reboot your notebook and allow Windows to attempt to reinstall the webcam.
If Windows detects the webcam verify the functionality of the webcam.
If Windows does not detect the webcam and install it move onto Option 3.
Option 3:  Manually install the drivers for your webcam.
Use this website to determine your product/model number.
Visit the HP Support Page and use this product number to visit your product’s specific page.
Go to “Drivers and Software” and locate the driver for your webcam.  NOTE: the drivers for the webcam are sometimes bundled with the YouCam software.
    Download and install this driver.
    Reboot the PC.
    Verify functionality.
Option 4:  Manually re-detecting the hardware.
    Disconnect all external devices.
    Shut down the notebook.
Remove the battery and AC power.
Press and hold the power button for 10-15 seconds.
Reinstall the battery and AC power.  Then turn the notebook on.
Once Windows is loaded go back to Device Manager.
Selection “Action” and then “Scan for hardware changes.”
If Device Manager detects the hardware allow it to install.
If Device Manager does not detect the hardware see Option 5.
Option 5: System Restore and System Recovery.
This is outlined very well in this document.  Note that any data that is not backed up prior to a recovery will be lost.
    Options 6: Repair or replacement.
If none of these solutions have worked for you it is likely that you are experiencing a hardware failure.  It is possible to replace the webcam or reseat a loose ribbon cable.  However, this is one of the more difficult repairs on the notebook.  If you would like to attempt this repair you can visit your notebook’s support page and navigate to the “Manuals” section.  There is normally a “Maintenance and Service Guide” for the notebooks, this will cover the disassembly of the notebook.  You can then use HP Parts Surfer to locate the part for your notebook.
If you do not wish to attempt a repair yourself you can inquire with HP about a repair.  For customers in the US/Canada you can call 1-800-474-6836.  If you’re not in this region you’ll need to visit HP’s Support Site to get your area’s contact information.

  • IPhone 3GS can not detect SIM Card after upgraded to iOS 6.0.1

Guys I really need your advice please...
I upgraded my iPhone 3GS 32GB from iOS 5.1.1 to 6.0.1 a couple weeks ago and since then it can not detect the my SIM Card ever. Before it's been upgraded, the phone was working just fine, but now it's just like a gameboy to me. I've been trying to find solution and some stores want me too pay quite amount of money to fix it but I refused.
By the way, it has been jailbroken with RedSnow, tethered of course... and all the features are working perfectly, the WiFi is working, syncing is working, Bluetooth is working, downloading apps from App Store is okay, but only Mail and Safari won't work. I haven't got a chance to go to Apple Service Center to fix it yet, but the store I went said that Apple may say the same.
    Thanks in advance.
ps to Admin: I'm a newbie, so if I posted this in the wrong room please forgive me.

    Thanks Chris for your solution.
But just for you know that I bought Apple to get the 'after service', they should've warn the users not to upgrade to a higher OS if it can caused the phone 'dead'. Mine was totally unusable when it's just been upgraded. It stayed in the recovery mode and couldn't be restored. So I brought it to the nearest store and they did that to me, and eventually the phone is working, only it cannot detect my SIM Card...
The problem is not about upgrading an iPhone to a newer version of iOS.  Your problem was upgrading a hacked phone, one of the well known consequences of which is re-locking and/or bricking the entire device when restoring in iTunes.  You chose to hack your phones firmware and operating system, so you must accept the consequences of going outside the bounds of normal use that Apple prescribes and supports.
Had you not hacked it in the first place, you likely would have never had a problem, and if you had, Apple would have offered support to deal with it.  Your choice, your decision, your consequences.

  • My sim card is not detected...

What can I do? I check it in other phone and it's OK. By my iPhone all the time said: Your sim card is not detected.

But I was done with my iPhone everything.
Have no idea what this means.
In your opinion it is a problem with hardware? Maybe.. But what I can do in this situation?
    Copied from my previous post.
If OK in another cell phone and usable to place and receive calls, etc. with another phone, there is obviously a problem with your iPhone. This may be a hardware problem with the interior of the iPhone where the SIM card makes the connection with the iPhone, or it could be a software problem.
If no change after powering your iPhone off and on and/or after a reset, try restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup. If no change after this, your iPhone has a hardware problem.
