Q10 vibrate issues

lost vibration capability, came back sporadically, now very faint - have rebooted, etc. with no relief.  Any suggestions?

What version of BlackBerry 10 are you currently running?  Go to Settings>About to find this information. Also when was the last time the vibration was working per normal, did you install any new applications lately?

  • Q10 battery issue

    I bought a Blackberry Q10 on Wednesday. One of the reasons I bought it was for battery life, however I have been having issues with this. The blackberry loses about 10 in an hour without any usage and with email synching turned to manual. I also have task manager and there are no apps running in the background. I go to bed with 50 percent battery and wake up to a dead phone. Is there something I should do or should I send it back? I got the phone just over 2 days ago, and updated it straight away. Wifi is only on during the day. ( I posted this before but accidently clicked on accept as solution even though I didn't mean too)

  • 5800: vibration issue

    Hi everyone, sorry for my very bad english (I'm italian...eheheh).
    I have an 5800 with 31.0.101 FW (it's the last update for my product code) and it has a strange problem related to the vibration of arriving sms or calls, not the touchscreen vibration.
    I noticed that after some hours that it's turned on, the vibration stops working, and this happens in silent mode (obviously with vibration activated) and in all other modes with a ring activated. To resolve this problem i have to restart the phone, turning it off and then on. But after some hours this happens again.
    I tried to do Hard Reset and reinstalling the firmware, but after 1-2 days same problem.
    The secretary of customer support in my town told me it's an hardware problem and the phone have to be sent to Nokia Italy for at least 2-3 weeks for repairing, but I think it's a software or firmware issues, otherwise the vibration will not work for nothing.
    What I have to do? Waiting for new fw update for my phone, hoping that this will resolve this problem, or sending to Nokia? I need help!!!! :-(

    Since you already tried a hard reset, try it without a memory card. It maybe that system files on the card are corrupt. However if nothing helps, you really have to send it.

  • Lumia 720 Jumping and Vibration issue.

    Hi, my Lumia 720, bought 10 days back is automatically vibrating and jumping between windows, to bing and home screen, and stopping at app switcher screen or home screen, and touch stops working(display and 3 keys).  It works only after I press power on/off. Initially its occurance was less frequent but now its more often.   Did reset, contacted nokia care and they reinstalled the OS.  Yet, its happening.  Please advise on this.

    My Lumia 720 which I bought recently suffers from a strange behaviour. It starts vibrating suddenly, wildly and on its own without any provocation and after jumping several screens in quick succession, stops at Bing. This activity lasts anywhere from 10 seconds to half a minute. During this time, everything that I have been doing, attending a call, writing email or whatever, stops and after this forced interruption,  I am forced to go to Bing. I have tried various steps like setting Display+touch settings to normal ( from high) and stopped Bing from operating on its own, but the problem continues. Is it a hardware or oftware issue? I have also seen that there are several users experiencing this problem and reporting this issue for quite sometime. In any case, Nokia should be aware of this and issuing the approrpiate patch to correct this situation. I wonder, Is anybody at Nokia listening?

  • T61P DVD multi recorder VIBRATION issues

    Does anyone else have an issue with their multi-recorder vibrating considerably when playing/accessing a DVD???? Most of the time the recorder does not cause an issue. It seems that when it plays DVD's it is working harder to read the data. Perhaps spinning faster which causes it to vibrate to the point where you can't even hear what's being played via speakers.
    I have pushed/held  the front of the drive which minimises the noise but I believe it shouldn't be this noisy. Perhaps I should contact Lenovo for a replacement.... Is there an adjustment I can do myself to fix this???

    Yes, I believe there is but if I understand it correctly, it simply slows the drive down (!)  Does the vibration happen with only some DVDs or all of them?  Some of my DVDs/CDRWs that are not balanced casue this but most of them don't.

  • Q10 Email Issues

    On a regular basis email for one of my (4) different work email address will quit working on the Q10. The others work fine (all have same POP configurations with of course different log in credentials).  I reboot it and it will work again for a couple hrs or occasionally days. I have reviewed the email settings and I can't find anything out of place.  Blackberry user for over 15 years and have never had this issue until going to this phone.  I came from the Bold which never experienced this issue at all.  Email is through a domain that I own for my business.  Account is set up as POP.  Any idea what might cause this?  Solution??

    I also have a user with this problem.
    He got the Q10 this pass weekend. It has been working ok until last night. Here is what I have observed:
    - Open the email to view it, click any of the (Reply, Reply to All or Forward) icons, a new window opens with the To/CC/Subject info, cannot type a message in the body of the email (but can type in the To/CC/Subject fields). Also noticed there is no thread reflected in the body. He has two email accounts that show the same behaviour (Yahoo & Exchange ActiveSync).
    - Workaround - If you press and hold the email (in the list view), Options from the right of the screen appear, click on the Reply icon from there and a new windows opens that will let you type in the body and it displays the thread. This will let you reply to the emails.
    - The only way this cleared up was by shutting down the device and restarting it. Not an acceptable solution.
    A quick Google search shows many others with this problem in this and Crackberry forums. This seems like an OS problem. Hopefully Blackberry can recognize this as a real issue.

  • Q10 reciever issues

    Ok so i had my first q10 loose its reciever and i was only able to talk on my speaker phone so rogers gave me a new (refurbished phone) and after a few months now i have the same problem.I called to complain and still had warranty but they said to try some updates and stuff,so by the time i did that and after the holidays i called again and i was off warranty.This has to be a hardware issue and i should be able toget a new phone...i called about getting fixed and they said its not worth it....now what do i do with a broken phone,,,rogers wont help me ...maybe blackberry can...

    Sorry, but warranty is a contractual matter between you and Rogers, not you and BB.

  • Q10 Reboot issues

    My Q10 seems to have a mind of its own. If seems to reboot quite often. If you put it down too hard it reboots, if you pick it up too fast it reboots, if I move too fast with it in my hand it hangs up on the person I'm talking to and it reboots! Wtf??? It's a great phone but this is obviously a design flaw. I called tmobile and they have no answer. I don't want an iPhone but I might have to get one. Anyone have any ideas? T

    Thanks for the tip.  Just put a business card in my phone and am keeping my fingers crossed.
    This issue was getting quite annoying.  I contacted my provider who sent out a replacement which turned out to have more issues (static and distorted picture on screen, temperamental touchscreen) than the phone I was trying to replace.
    I removed and re-inserted the sim card which did reduce the frequency of reboots, both in number of days between events and number of consecutive times a reboot would occur.
    My battery "feels" like it is firmly in place, so I find it hard to believe that this could be the cause of my issue, but since I am willing to be open to anything since there is no pattern to the reboots (set phone down hard, set phone down soft, it can happen at any time).

  • Vibration Issues

    I have an 4GB model I bought back in July 2007.
    Recently whevener I put my phone in vibration mode, sometimes it won't take and alternate between vibrate and no vibrate even with the switch in vibrate mode. It sometimes happens when I turn the vibrate function off through the switch, that it will go back and forth between vibrate/sound.
    Can this be repaired or am I just out of luck?

    I have posted an answer to this many times before... perhaps you have not done a proper search.... anywayz,
    hold the phone with one hand, and firmly tap the side of the phone with your other hand. now try the vibrate mode. mine did this one time as did other owners' iPhones. seems that the vibrate motor got hung up, and the tap to the side frees it..
    however, some have had issues with their silence switches. I noticed mine was stuck when turning on the vibrate mode in the settings. have not had a problem since!

    i have iphone 5 with ios 7.0.4 and my vibration suddenly stopped working . i don't know why . is there any solution to it ? its ios 7 problem or its hardware problem ???

    Also happens with my fathers iPhone 4S, I assume it's an IOS issue in that case.

  • Jelly Bean Update - Vibration Issues

    Since upgrading to Jelly Bean the other day, certain apps, like my Gmail and Facebook app, will vibrate when I receive a notification when the phone is in vibrate mode. I have both of these app notification settings to sound only, so when the phone is on vibrate, nothing should happen. It's very frustrating because I leave my phone on vibrate when I am at work for phone calls only, but now I have to keep it on silent so that it's not constantly going off. Is this a reported bug or something that will be fixed soon?

  • Q10 hotspot issue

    Hi, I'm a first time BlackBerry user but I've been using a lot of phones and was pretty good at trouble shooting and am currently having problems connecting my Samsung phone to my Q10's hotspot. My tablet3 can connect no issues but no matter what I do to tweak my settings, I'm getting authentication error. My Samsung phone works fine on other hotspots and I'm facing a brick wall. Would appreciate any assistance. I'm using the latest BlackBerry os 10.2.

    Delete that Wi-Fi from Samsung and re-establish that previous hotspot connection.
    If still fail, try to connect manually to that hotspot (manually input hotspot name and password, security type).

  • Sony Xperia m4 Aqua vibration issue

    I bought the M4 Aqua yesterday at the store and already I have a problem I can't figure out. This phone should have a vibration system right? When it turns on it should vibrate but it doesn't. I've enabled vibration mode for incoming calls, but it doesn't work when someone calls. Also with Whatsapp it doesn't work. When I want to put the phone on vibration mode with the volume down button to the point where there's the ''shaking phone'' icon, it doesn't vibrate and confirm it's actually in vibration mode. What should I do? Also, when I took the device off the power source when it said it was fully loaded (after I bought it, for the very first time and the device was off) it said it was 90%?And is 9 hours (with beginning at 90%) of normal use and sometimes 3G a good amount of time? It made it from 9:00 till 18:00, so not till the end of day.And, can you make panorama's without having to turn the device on its side, cause that's a bit annoying. Sorry if all these questions are easily solved, I'ver never had Android before.Thanks in advance for answering.

    In this case I would suggest taking the device back to the place of purchase, as this sounds like a hardware issue.
    However you can try a software repair on the device before taking the device back, as this could be software.
    Here's how to run the repair on PC Companion:
    1. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
    2. Phone Software Update.
    3. Start.
    4. Repair Phone
    5. Continue
    6. Accept data removal
    7. Next
    8. Wait for prepare
    9. Select Phone
    10. Follow the connection steps
    And Bridge for Mac:
    1. Launch Bridge for MAC without the handset connected.
    2. On the Main Window select "Xperia > Repair Xperia Device".
    3. Ensure the phone is charged and select "Ok" in the following window.
    4. Select Continue on the following page.
    5. Wait until the initialising step is finished the continue as below.
    6 . Select your model of phone from the list that appears
    7. Follow the connection steps that appear, ensuring that you are holding the relevant button down before during and after the connection phase until the update/repair begins.
