Q10 wont turn on. Red LED 1101111 blinking.

Hi All,
Just updated my Q10 to 10.3 via the carrier update and after half a day my phone turned off and now it wont turn back on again.
When I press the power button the yellow LED comes on and after that the red LED blinks in the following sequence 1101111.
Tried all the usual tricks. Battery pull, plugged phone in without battery, plugged into blackberry link, used original charger/cable, hold power button down for 10 seconds etc...All don't work.
Any ideas would be much appriciated

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
I cannot quite tell if you have done exactly this or not...apologies in advance if you have. Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain directly connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB, not a cradle):
With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
Remove the battery
Wait 15 minutes
Insert the battery
Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs. If it fails, please try again but increase the wait time in step 4 to 2 hours, and perhaps as long as 4-5 hours.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
Obtain an known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem. Note carefully please that "new" and "know good" are not necessarily the same things. While rare, a "new" battery certainly could be defective. Rather, the simplest (and least costly, btw) method to conduct this test is to find someone with an identical BB who has no issues...trade batteries and see what happens.
It is also possible that the OS update caused this. Due to the number of problems with "upgrading" to this OS level, I suggest you try the very clean and very forceful AutoLoader OS Reload:
http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-10-OS-Device-Software/Upgrading-OS10-devices-using...
Beware that it is completely destructive...the device will be "like new"...no data, no apps, no accounts, etc. Be sure you take a full backup first, as well as make full manual documentation of all apps, accounts, configurations, etc. Sometimes a restore reintroduces the very corruption one is trying to eliminate, and manual reconfiguration is necessary.
You can also use this to fall back to a prior OS if you desire...you can install any OS level for which you can find an AutoLoader. (Hint...search over on the CB site!)
Good luck and let us know!

  • Sony TV KDL-60W840B Red LED is blinking 2 times and TV wont turn on

Hi, I have a Sony TV KDL-60W840B which I bought 13 months ago for the world cup soccer (gift for my husand). Now it is not working and like you can read in the subject line once the TV is plugged into a power strip the red led start to blink twice and pause, when I try to turn on it not do it. Please help me because it is not fear that just when the warrenty finished the TV is not working,  and in fact I spent $2000 one year ago to have this issue. I really appreciate your help. Ana LuciaAB, Canada.

    Hi aluva,
    Welcome to the Sony Community!
If a Red LED is blinking and the TV is not working properly it means that the TV has detected an issue or problem. Most Red LED blink conditions require service. The meaning of the blink codes differs between TV models,

  • Phone turns off and led light blinks wont turn back on

I have the 8100 and have had it for about 2 weeks I bought it off line since my old phone broke. This morning I took it off my charger and went to a meeting after the meeting I looked at my phone and the led light was blinking I hit a button and nothing happened. I then tried to turn the phone back on but nothing happened. I removed the battery waited 5 minutes then put it back in and it started to work again. But again the same thing happened. I tried this multiple times but nothing change it still went back after a few minutes. I took the battery out sim card and memory card out for an hour then put them back in and the same thing happened. Has anyone had this happen before and is there anything I can do for it. Again after I turn my phone on it "shuts off" the led light blinks like I have a message but I ca not do anything the only way to get it out of this is to remove the battery and put it back in but it reverts back to this in a few minutes. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Greetings, and welcome to the BlackBerry.com Support Forums.
Leave the device to charge 2-3 hours, and then, still connected to the USB cable, remove the the battery from the device a few seconds and reinsert it. If it boots--leave it to charge to 100% (check Options > Status for the percentage).
If it doesn't boot--try using a wall outlet charger if you are not. If you are connected via USB to the PC, make certain that you have Desktop Manager (or the USB device drivers) installed, which you can download below.
Make certain your USB cable is connected to one of the PC's main rear USB ports. Not a USB hub, nor a monitor USB port, nor a USB port on the front of the PC.
    Download Desktop Manager from here:

  • 2nd generation ipod touch wont turn on. The screen blinks but the apple icon doesn't show up.

I have a 2nd generation ipod touch that I got from a friend. I drove all the way across the country (three day trip) and it worked perfectly. It was in a hard case and has no damages to it. I haven't dropped it or gotten water on it at all. But for some reason the screen wont turn on. It blinks on and off when I plug it into the charger (and theres like a soft clicking noise that I hear when the screen blinks) but the apple logo wont show up. And it doesn't seem to actually be charging. It doesn't seem to actually die all the way either.... It's weird.. but I know no damages have happened to it so I don't know what to do. I've tried to reset it (pressing and holding the home and power buttons) but that wont work either. Help?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I just updated the software after a notification suggested so having my phone on charger and battery full and it started rebooting. this process took very long and at the end my phone is not turning back on and the red light flashes 7 times every 5 seconds. Can somebody help me?????? i am desperate!!!

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Sounds like something may have gone terribly wrong during the update...hopefully you already have a good backup, because it's unlikely any of the "fixes" you can try will achieve that.
First, please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain directly connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB, not a cradle):
With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
    Remove the battery
    Wait 15 minutes
    Insert the battery
Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs. If that fails, then increase the wait at step 4 to 2 hours also.
A further test is for the possibility that somehow your battery failed in all of this...to test that, this sequence is needed:
Obtain an known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem. Note carefully please that "new" and "know good" are not necessarily the same things. While rare, a "new" battery certainly could be defective. Rather, the simplest (and least costly, btw) method to conduct this test is to find someone with an identical BB who has no issues...trade batteries and see what happens.
Your last resort will be an OS reload via AutoLoader:

  • My Q10 wont turn on

I have been using my Q10 for a while and it has been working perfectly until recently when it suddenly went off while I was using it,I initially thought it was a battery problem but the battery worked in another phone while other batteries won't turn up mine.
I tried reloading the OS but its not connecting to my system.I notice when I plug a charger to it without battery,a yellow blink comes up in the LED indicator once but nothing shows afterwards.
    Please help!!!

    Hi Phard,
I've got a similar problem.. do u have a message on ur screeen ?? can u still turn it on ??

  • BB Q10 wont turn on

Issue with Q10 which seemed to have undergone an update with a failing battery.
It now goes through a continuous cycle of red light, blackberry start up screen, image of empty battery, back to red light.
I have tried to reload and reinstall the software, but there also seems to be an issue with the computer not continuously detecting the device.
I've tried removing the battery at regular intervals incase the turning on of the device is automatically
I currently have a green light, but only because I've figured out that if I click on reload and don't proceed to click 'get update' I can stall the start up, and the light goes green
It's been two hours now, I haven't restarted the phone yet, as I'm afraid it'll just go back to the cycle of doom.
If anyone knows any tricks, (should I take the battery out now? Is there another way to reboot the phone? etc) or if I'm doing the right thing, or if I just need to get the device sent off for fixing, let me know?
    Thanks so much

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
First, I'd recommend you fully charge the device before trying anything further. If it won't charge, then get a replacement battery. Then, keep trying the tricks you've tried so far...you are doing well...but you also might want to try an AutoLoader.
    Good luck!
PS -- I hope you already have a good backup or the ability to fully reconfigure from scratch...it is highly likely that the data on your device itself is already wiped clean.

  • Q10 wont turn on

I turned off my Q10 today and took out the battery. After the 2 hours exam ended, I could not turn on my Q10 anymore. It is not even charging because there is no LED indication, I plugged it via USB to my laptop, my laptop also couldn't detect it.
and yes, I tried leaving it to charge and do the battery pull method, it didn't work as well. the phone seems dead. if it is just the battery issue at least the LED would light on when I charge it, isn't it?

  • Z2 wont turn on red light

my xperia z2 abruptly turned off while there was 10% battery was remaning since then i tried every thing pressed all three buttons together power volume and tried that red button on the side of sim tray nothing is working out this is very worrying moment for me plz some help

You may need to perform a software repair using PC companion. The process will erase all internal memory. You might need to charge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 60% battery.
Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device).
Open PC companion->support zone->phone/tablet software update->repair my phone/tablet blue highlighted.Follow the steps given,do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable. If PC companion does not start the repair process, you might need to run it in compatibility mode with Windows 7 (in some cases XP).

  • BlackBerry Z10 won't turn on and red led blinks 4 times

    Hi all,
Yesterday my BlackBerry Z10 suddently turned off, I turned it on again and it worked fine for a few minutes (battery was around 90% full), then it turned off again and I couldn't turn it on anymore! The red led is blinking 4 times with a 3 seconds interval between each 4 blinks sequence. I tried to charge the battery, connect it to the computer, turn it on without the battery (with charger on), with no success. Sometimes, it shows the BlackBerry logo, or even the logo with the % loading, but then it turns off in the middle of the process, on random percentages.
Does anyone know what happened to the phone and how to solve this issue?
    Thanks!
    V

Mine keeps turning off... I called them and they told me to send the phone to Blackberry by mail to check what's wrong and that when the phone gets there, they do a complete evaluation and in 30 days they send the phone back... In other words, I have to buy another phone! Blackberry assistance is useless...

  • HELP Needed ASAP! Curve Not Turning On, Red Flashing Lights!

    Hi,
I have a Blackberry curve 8310. I plugged my curve into my mac to do a software update. Midway through, my phone shut off and hasn't worked since. The battery is fully charged. The phone is off and won't turn on. Additionally, there is a red LED light blinking twice every few seconds. I think I found an article on blackberry.com's knowledge database that diagnosed my issue, but my problem now is that because the curve isn't turning on/off, it's not connecting to my mac's desktop manager. So I can't do anything the article tells me to do. What should I do now? I need help ASAP!
Here's the link to the article: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB19915
    Thanks in advanced!

Hello Asmro and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
It can take up to 30 minutes for the Mac to connect to the BlackBerry.
I would remove your battery and connect to the BlackBerry Desktop Manager. Once it comes up there is no software installed, re-insert the battery and follow the article KB19915.
Let me know how you make out.

Some minutes after getting a message (I think any message - sms, BBM, email...), red led stops blinking. Is this okay or is there something wrong? I have a Q10.
