Q5 Contacts Hyperlink from Outlook Contacts Notes

We used to be able to click on a Contact on my Blackberry that I have put numerous email addresses into the Notes section and add the email address/contact to an outgoing email.
I don't have distribution groups set up. I'm using the email links from notes.
Is this possible to do any longer?

The same thing happened to me today. After an hour of distress, I found that all my contacts had moved to a new subfolder in Outlook. "My Contacts" is now empty, but there is a new folder called "iCloud Contacts" where they all moved. On your PC, in Outlook, Click View / Navigation Pane / Normal. In the left pane, you'll see the newly created contact folder.

Click to call plugin from outlook 2010 not dialing contacts which are not pulled from AD

Hi Experts,
we have this issue with click to call plugging from outlook 2010.
when there is a mail from a non corporate user ( a person who is not in AD) in the inbox, and we try to make a call to that person, click to call plugging does not allow to make a call from the outlook. Even though this contact is present in the outlook contacts.
But for corporate users ( who are in AD) there are no issues.
Is this a limitation of click to call or a configuration error ?

If you go throught my question again, I mentioned the contact detail for this person is present in the Outlook contacts.
That is I have saves this person's phone number in my outlook contacts.
Please let know if you have a solution for this issue.

What method of syncing contacts are you trying? Are you using iTunes to sync Contacts? Are you using iCloud Control Panel to link Outlook to iCloud, and then syncing Contacts from iCloud to your iPhone?

Sending emails from outlook - suddenly not getting...

Hi everyone, I am new here but a btinternet customer for a good while. I have been quite happily sending emails from outlook to both other btinternet email addresses and a variety of non bt emails. all of a sudden on Thursday, they stopped being received by the recipient. The send/receive process seems to work (visually) and the logs and outbox show they have been sent - but nothing is received at the other end.
I have not touched any settings etc, so what could be the problem?
Looking to find out if there is anything I can do at my end or whether BT needs informing (though I cannot see who to contact).

Hyperlinks from Outlook 2010 don't work anymore (Firefox is my default browser)

Since I installed IE 9 I can't use Hyperlinks in Outlook anylonger (Firefox remains my default browser!). I tried already
a) set IE 9 default (Hyperlinks works) and switch back to Firefox (Error message and Hyperlinks don't work)
b) "Start" + R with any link doesn't work either c) delete in the registry HKCU\SOFTWARE\Classes\FirefoxURL\ & HKCU\SOFTWARE\Classes\FirefoxHTML\
c) Updated Firefox to Version 4 and things are even worse (Firefox crashes now)
But nothing works, can someone help me?

Is it using yahoo as its search engine, or switching to yahoo's browser. If it is using yahoo as its search engine, you can change that in settings>options>search and at the top it will show you a button that you can click to choose your default search engine.

Outlook and BB - items deleted from outlook calendar not shown as deleted in blackberry?? WHY?

Once meetings are deleted in Outlook they are for some reason still shown as active in my blackberry. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can resolve it?
Do i need to resynch them?

From what I remember, for them to be removed from the blackberry, they have to be in the deleted items folder while the phone reconciles, but I might be mistaken.
If you try creating a test calendar item, let the BB pick it up, delete it from outlook leaving the item in the deleted items folder and wait for the phone to reconcile again (or force reconcile now).

Mailboxes from Outlook are not importing to Thunderbird

I was able to import my address book and Inbox from Outlook, but only one of the sub-folders. It appears to be importing, but has been doing so for 6 hours with no result.

The only limit is how much storage space you have left on your phone.

Since the most recent update, the Send To OneNote feature in Outlook does not prompt for a location but seems to be defaulting to the same notebook each time - even if it is not the active notebook. I've tried repairing Office 365 but it did not work. Is

Calendar Invites from Outlook PC not syncing to iCloud calendar

I am using iCloud on my iPhone 5 and with Outlook on my PC. When my husband sends me an appointment invitation from his Outlook (PC, no iCould), I receive an email via Outlook on my PC and click accept. However, the appointment does not show up on my calendar. When I accept from iPhone it works but takes a lot of click thrus. Can anyone help me on this?

Guys, I did a bit of research with my other iPhone/Exchange - buddies and this is what we found out:
1. Friend sends me an calendar event from his PC / Exchange Account
2. Calendar event displays as tentative on both my iPhone and on my PC / Exchange Account
3. I accept the calendar event on my PC / Exchange Account
4. Calendar event turns to "busy" on my PC / Exchange Account
5. Calendar event disappears from my iPhone
6. I double-click the event on my PC / Exchange Account and click "Accept" again
7. Calendar event reappears on my iPhone
Funny enough, this does not happen with all events - it seems to depend on the Exchange server and/or Outlook version in use. For those affected: Is your Exchange Server 2003 or 2007, and what version is the Exchange Server of the person who sent you the event in the first place?

IPhone Notes transfer from Outlook

I have moved contact and calendar data to iPhone/iPad but am having trouble moving Outlook Notes or DejaOffice Memos to Notes on iPhone/iPad. Help, I have so many Notes and want to move to iPhone format.

i went to one of the related threads and found the answer. I had to go into Settings/Mail, Contacts, Calendar and turn off Notes for all Accounts where Notes appeared. Once this was done, I could attach my phone to iTunes on my PC and see the Sync Notes with Outlook option under the Info tab of my iPhone. Then I could sync the Notes from Outlook into Notes on my iPhone. Now that they are in there, I can go back and enable iCloud sync for Notes and it will update my other Apple devices. Now iPhone will be my master going forward.

Recurring Appointments not syncing from Outlook

My Iphone picks up the initial appointment from Outlook but not any of the reoccurences. Any ideas?

When you go into the iPhone appointment, does it say repeat? Try creating a recurring appointment on the iPhone, and sync to see if it comes over to Outlook. Then compare that appointment with the other recurring appointments you already have in Outlook to see if you notice any differences.

Hyperlink from Presenter Notes

I am attempting to go to a hyperlink from the Presenter notes. The hyperlink shows up on the actual slide but seems to be unclickable. Can it be done? If so, how? Thanks

I am bumping this up because I am having the same problem. The links work flawlessly until I hook it up to the projector. And then they disappear. What gives? It was embarrassing having to cut my presentation short by 45 minutes because none of the hyperlinks would work in presentation mode. The reason I'm using my Mac instead of Windows is because of the amazing features of Keynote. I hate to have to use PowerPoint on Windows, but it looks like I may not have a choice. Any answers?

I am not sure whether this is what you are looking ofr but you can set up groups in contacts using icloud.com
Log in to your cloud account on your computer and open contacts there.Click on the litte ribbon at the top that has the silhouettes of the people then the plust sign at the bottom and add the group and then it should sync to your phone if you have contacts on in settings/icloud. Once it is createed and you have added the poeple to the group then it should sync for you

No sync with iTunes 10 after upgrade from Outlook 2007 to Outlook 2010

With Windows 7 x64, Office 2007 and iTunes 10, syncing worked fine, but after an upgrade to Office 2010 (x86), iTunes acts as if it syncs (no error messages), but nothing happens. Calendar or contact items that I have changed on either the phone or the computer since the last truly successful sync are not transferred.
Has anyone found a solution for this?

a) refer to Jason's 12/14 post, for troubleshooting articles related to "Click" version, and general Apple troubleshooting...(you may have multiple problems, all of which need to be solved in order)...and yes, 12/15 posting - direct to an Exchange account, if available - iPhone/iPad works better than any other mobile device I have ever used against an Exchange Server...(have not tried WinMobile7, which should work great also...but BB, Droids, and Palms have...issues/quirks usually necessitating a 3rd-party App)...
b) Outlook 2010 settings needed for me to get Contact (and probably Cal) sync:
1) I had 2 profiles, with Outlook set to Choose Profile on startup...apparently needed to change to "Always Use This Profile" setting, as it appears that iTunes is not Outlook multi-profile aware.
2) under that [now default] profile, I had multiple POP accounts...it appears that iTunes is only going to work with the contacts/calendar from the account designated as the Default Data File, under Account-->Settings (a single PST file)
3) under Account-->Settings, a tab called Address Books - I had, besides the Outlook Address Book, an entry called "Mobile Address Book", most likely put there by my [retired] Windows Mobile phone, prior to switch to iPhone...I removed that entry.
4) restarted Outlook, restarted iTunes, Devices-->iPhone-->Info now sees Outlook-specific info...my contacts synced; categories on contacts from Outlook did not carry over, however, if, in Outlook, I create sub-folders of Contacts, move categorized to their own named sub-folder, these sub-folders DO sync individually on the iPhone, showing as "Groups".
YMMV...but those are the changes I had to put into place to get my Contacts to sync.
...still need to figure out how to control the "order" of them...the Outlook "File As" setting is not being utilized, looks like Last Name is the only control...not perfect, but I will deal with it...until apple figures out a way to use Company as a grouping option.
Windows 7 (x64), Outlook 2010 (x32), iTunes 10.1.2.17, iPhone iOS 4.2.6
BTW - another option may be CompanionLink (.com), for business users. (not a recommendation, but I do have some familiarity using it, with Blackberry and Droid platforms)
