Q9650 run Premiere without stuttering?

Hey Guys,
For those of you have used the first generation of quad core chips, can they run premiere without stuttering or choking on transitions and AVCHD 24/mbs DSLR footage? I'm using a dual core E8600, and I'm doing much more editing than I anticipated, particularly multicam editing. Even with a GTX 670 running in CUDA alongside it, the E8600 has a hard time keeping up with DSLR footage, and when it hits transitions, the "Film Dissolve" in particular, which I use all the time, it stutters and never catches up until I stop playback. And multicam is a joke. Render times haven't been a problem for me, its the playback that's driving me crazy and costing me productivity.
So I'm on the fence about whether to put one last upgrade in the old box-the Q9650. I can find them on ebay as low as $130. Can this perform silky smooth in the aforementioned scenarios? I know the sandy bridge quad i5 based imac's at school can. Option 2 is a brand new Haswell based build. I only need CPU+Mobo+RAM (16gb) which i price out at $575. Money is verrrry tight right now, so if I can get a usability boost from the cheaper upgrade I'm gonna go for that until business builds up.

My advice is to not waste any money at all on that old LGA 775 platform, especially if it uses severely outdated DDR2 system RAM. My own testing running CS5.5 with a Q9450 (similar to the Q9650, only lower clocked at 2.66 GHz instead of 3.0 GHz) showed that the Q9450 was significantly slower than even a dual-core Sandy Bridge i3-2100. At stock speeds, that Q9650 would have been no faster overall than an i3-2100. This is largely due to the substantially slower external bus throughput from the CPU itself as well as the total lack of an L3 cache.

What is the best laptop to run Premiere Pro cc?

I've been having a lot of problems with Premiere cc since I downloaded it a few months ago and am now realising the problem is with my computer. I have a late 2012 Macbook Pro, 2.5 ghz, 8gb Ram, intel hd 4000 processor which just doesn't seem to have the juice to run Premiere pro smoothly. If I do any kind of editing, even just colour correction, the footage gets very sticky when playing back in Premiere. if I try anything advanced like adding warp stabilier the program crashes. I also bought magic bullet looks and I can barely open it without the whole computer having a meltdown.
This has been extremely frustrating and has made working with Premiere pro a nightmare. I am now planning to buy a new laptop/pc and am looking for suggestions on what to buy. i am looking for best bang for my buck. While I would be willing to spend over a £1000 I would obviously prefer not to if I don't have to. I thought my Macbook Pro would have more than enough horsepower to handle it and have been left dissapointed and frustrated so would really appreciate some advice from the wider Adobe community on this. I am also open to suggestions on desktops, not just laptops.

I am filming on a canon 7d and really just looking or something that I can edit the footage with and put on some light effect/colour grading. I am not able to say what level of effects I will be needing to use as at the minute when i try anything other than basic editing the programme has a stroke. Like I mentioned I have Magic Bullet Looks suite sitting waiting for me but I haven't even had a chance to try it out. One effect I really like but know that it is processor draining is some warp stabiliation . There are certain shots it really lends itself to but I just bought myself a nice monpod and fluid head so shouldn't need that anymore.
Last night I tried downloading Premiere cc onto my girlfriends £500 basic desktop and to my great surprise everthing ran like a dream! (compared to my computer anyway). Is this normal, that a cheap desktop would so comprehensively outperform a 12 month old Macbook Pro? I am wondering if there is an unresolved problem with the macbook itself.
To give you an example, if i have put warp stabilisation on a clip on my macbook I have to put it at 1/4 resolution for it to playback and even then it is extremely choppy and sticky and sometimes crashes the programme. Last night on the budget desktop I was able to put it to full resolution and it played smoothly, just like it would if it had been exported.
Any advice you could give on this would be much appreciated. ive been round the traps with apple and adobe tech guys and neither of them can find anything wrong with the computer or the programme.

If you can view a ProRes 4-2-2 video at all, then you either have the independent ProRes422 Playback component installed or the FCP "Pro" video components installed.

Check your "~/Library/QuickTime" folder for your various "Pro" components. If in doubt that you have them all, re-run the FCP installer and it should add any missing components, apps, or utilities.

Photoshop CS4 survives, Premiere stutters along but does run. I've taken 5D Mark II clips and used Encoder to create a few different formats and burn a DVD. So your late mode XPS 16 should fare well. Are you running 64-bit, and can you up the ram to 6GB? That would help tremendously. I would seriously consider Windows 7 64-bit when it comes out in October, I've been on it for 2 months (RC version) and it is superbly stable, walks Vista to the dock.
BTW, I did realize I couldn't survive on my laptop, and since Adobe allows two installs, I just built an i7 rig with 12GB ram and Windows 7 64-bit and a WD 10K drive. The difference is obviously huge, but in a pinch my laptop can pull me through.

How do I run iTunes without my external hard drive?

I have uploaded all my music to iCloud so am under the impression I do not need my local files which are all stored on a 4TB (not fun to move around) G-Tech drive.
I cannot run iTunes without the hard drive plugged in, if anybody knows a way for me to play my music through iCloud on just my internet-connected laptop that would be much appreciated.

Change where iTunes thinks your library is by opening iTunes with the option key selected and create a blank 'iTunes library' on your internal drive.

First delete the payment run output by the following :
Goto Edit on menu bar --> Payment --> Delete Output
then run the proposal run again and after that process payment run.

I had a situation where I had to run log miner to undo some changes. I ran the log miner on the database where SUPPLEMENTAL_LOG_DATA_MIN was not set nor the dictionary was specified. I ran the following and was able to get the undo. I am a little confused there, as Oracle doc stats that SUPPLEMENTAL_LOG_DATA_MIN should be set to YES, before you can mine the logs.

what you could try, is to associate the RDF/REP extension with a mimetype (e.g. application/oracle.reports) on the server and then add this mimetype to the browser applications associated with the reports runtime executable.

Hello to all developers,
I know that to run applets in IE we should have the JRE installed on our machines. But is there any way that we can run applets without the JRE being installed on our machines. I have also heard of something called as the Microsoft JVM. How can we use it to run the java applets.

The Microsoft JVM is extremely outdated and not recommended at all. You can't really run a Java applet without a JVM, and I'm not sure if any but the one Sun makes comes with a browser plugin.

How to run VI without the DAQ card connected to the labtop

This may be a silly question but I want to have the answer and couldn't find the answer for spending time in searching in the web.
I want to run the VI that controls the intruments in my labtop. The VI was run in a destop that has a DAQ card in the PC (a PCI card). I know it is possible to run it without errors (without a DAQ card) in my labtop . Anyone knows how to do it? I used labview 7.1. Thanks,

In fact i tried the option of providing value 1 to exclude the storage location stock from the MRP. But it did not fulfil my requirement.
My requirement is as below:
The business wants to create the material requirement by manual reservations.
Also for this MRP run except this manual reservations all other issue elements, receipt elements and stocks should not get considered.
With checking group configuration i am able to exclude all other issue, receipt and stock elements. But in this settings there is no option to exclude the unrestricted stock.
What happened when i tried giving 1 in MRP 4 view to exclude the storage location stock, the system not only excludes the stock but also it excludes the storage location from MRP run. Meaning...

SLOC YYYY
SLOC - YYYY current stock: 100
Manual reservation created (requirement) for SLOC -YYYY : 50
The expectation out of MRP run is, to create procurement proposals for 50 numbers with out considering SLOC - YYYY stock of 100 and not to exclude the SLOC YYYY itself.

I had to call Apple and the tech made me enter a bunch of terminal commands to fix this. Unfortunately I can't tell you excactly what it was. I think the best way would be to call Apple.

Is it possible to run SchemaTool without a database?
I want to generate the SQLs during the build process and
use them to create the tables during deployment. I tried
putting a <persistent-types> block in system.prefs so that
SchemaTool will not try to keep track of the types in
database but it still try to connect to the database when

Currently, we always connect to the datastore to retrieve a list of
existing tables and columns so that we know what modifications need to
be made. Being able to create complete SQL scripts with no DB connection
would be useful. I've added it as a feature enhancement to our bug
tracking database:

In the mean time, you can create the appropriate SQL by creating a blank
schema in the target data store and executing the schematool against it
using the '-outfile' option.
